After my check-up at the University of Tokyo Hospital, I decided to explore some well-reputed restaurants to expand my repertoire. Unfortunately, the Ueno branch was closed, so I headed to the Okachimachi branch instead. The place seemed to be open, with only one customer at the counter. I ordered a draft beer and was served a small appetizer. I wondered if the appetizer was complimentary or if I would be charged for it. I couldn't refuse, so I just went along with it. As a first-time visitor, I ordered the sushi platter, but was told they don't offer 1.5 servings. I ended up getting eight pieces of sushi and a roll. The presentation was nice, but the taste was average. A regular customer who came in later declined the appetizer when ordering a beer. I decided to have another draft beer before paying, and sure enough, I was charged for the appetizer. I don't think appetizers are necessary for lunch. It would have been better if they asked if I wanted it or not. Overall, when it comes to sushi lunch, I think Ginzou wins over Okachimachi Sushi.

At the weekly meeting over the weekend, I met with the representative. We were both busy and couldn't meet for a while, so this time we ordered grilled instead of simmered dishes. I forgot the name, but the meat was a valuable cut and incredibly delicious. This led me to drink more alcohol than usual. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. I had 11 pieces of sushi and finished them all. I recently ran a full marathon and haven't had many opportunities to run again, so I'm starting to worry about my waistline. I can't restrict my diet, so I'll keep moving my body. I want to exercise well and come back to eat here again. Thank you for the meal.

I have been here a few times, but it seems like the taste, atmosphere, and customer service have declined a bit. Maybe the manager has changed. All I hear from the kitchen are complaints and grumbling. If you're going to complain about foreign workers, then don't hire them. The girls were working the hardest. The manager complains the most and makes excuses. Despite having plenty of empty tables, he tried to turn away customers. The sushi was too torched. As shown in the photos.

I was invited by a business partner from Osaka to have seafood at Edo-sushi in Okachimachi. I started with a beer and ordered a sashimi platter with three types of blue fish and simmered sea bream head. I had been thinking that it was almost the start of the rainy season, so I was expecting the sardines to be good, and they were indeed delicious with a lot of fat. The bonito was also fresh and refreshing, but this time I was particularly impressed by the richness of the sardines. Come to think of it, I hadn't had sardines as sashimi before. The deliciousness of the sardines made me think I should visit the fish market on Saturday.

Visited as the second stop with two friends in the evening. This sushi restaurant has a counter and offers non-rotating sushi at a reasonable price. The squid had a sweetness to it, and the rolled sushi with seared horse mackerel was also very delicious. While I enjoy conveyor belt sushi, I realized that there is a different sense of unity between the rice and toppings at a regular sushi restaurant.

I had lunch at the restaurant across the street earlier, so my stomach is full. But I still want to drink, so I quickly visited a nearby place. There were 2 groups of 4 people already seated when I arrived, and it quickly became lively with more customers coming in. I ordered grilled sardines with thin rolls, which I really like because of the soft sardines and rice. The cucumber rolls were crunchy with a nice seaweed flavor. I also had marinated mackerel, which had a strong vinegar taste. The tuna offcuts dish can be hit or miss, but I couldn't resist ordering it. The crab miso dip with grilled seaweed was a perfect match for my sake. The squid sashimi was exceptional, with plenty of squid and a fresh and delicious taste. After finishing off a bottle, I'm off to my next destination.

The vinegar of the sea squirt is soaked in the sea squirt skin. It's fun. If there are scallops and herring, I always order them. Foie gras, alfonsino, shrimp, red shrimp, king mackerel, yellowtail, crab miso, crab meat, conger eel, tekka maki, herring roe, and burdock roll. A bottle of beer. The price is a bit higher this time because we ordered a bottle.

I usually can't get in without a reservation, but this time I managed to get in at the right time to satisfy my craving for sashimi. The highlight was the sea cucumber! It was crunchy and delicious. I highly recommend trying this dish. And for a perfect finish, I had some sushi! Even though I ate a lot, I could still eat more. Maybe because it was so delicious. It was nice to have a leisurely meal. On the way back, I bought some sushi rolls as a souvenir for my wife and headed home. Thank you for the delicious meal!

To combat my lack of exercise, I went for a walk today and ended up at Ameyoko. Every store was crowded and there were many foreigners. I visited a place along a narrow street. I started with a glass of Black Label and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at a reasonable price. I decided to try some unique sushi today. The rice was just the right size and the sushi was delicious. The presentation was also beautiful. It was a great restaurant. I will definitely visit again.

Cheating day 2, the second stop was at "Eisushi" in Okachimachi, where I used to frequent when I lived in Kitasenju. I've been to the Eisushi in Yushima before, but this was my first time at the Okachimachi branch. The chef prepares the sushi right in front of you, and the prices are always reasonable. Next to it is Sushiko, which is also delicious. The simmered dish at the yakiton restaurant next door, Maruwa, is also tasty. I wanted to relax at Eisushi after a long time, so we arrived early and were able to leisurely drink at the counter. I was planning on enjoying some rolls and side dishes, but my dining companion was in a great mood and just wanted to eat sushi. The surimi and squid legs were plentiful and only cost 500 yen, which is very reasonable. The sushi is priced at 100 yen per piece, which is cheaper than a conveyor belt sushi place. When I quietly mentioned the sushi I wanted to eat, it was served in pairs, but still at 100 yen per piece. The tamago I ordered as a side dish was freshly grilled, and the chef who served us was friendly. We had a delicious meal and drinks, and the bill for two people was not even close to 10,000 yen, which is a great deal for a sushi restaurant. Thank you for the meal. Now, it's time to head to the next place for some nightcap.

I went to a sushi restaurant in Ueno! The place has a counter with 10 seats and about 10 tables as well. I suddenly felt like having sushi so I went in, but since I don't go to sushi restaurants often, I didn't know where to go. I found this sushi place in a back alley and decided to give it a try. I was a bit worried about the quality, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious! The fish wasn't watery, and the texture was just right. The miso soup was a bit strong in flavor though, so be careful! The staff varied in their attentiveness, some were very helpful while others seemed a bit indifferent, maybe because they were busy. This restaurant is great for its cost performance, and you can enjoy it with the casual atmosphere of an izakaya. I often use it in the Kita-Senju area, but there are also several places around Ueno and Okachimachi that are open late and cheap, making it convenient to stop by when you want to eat something light. I enjoy some gyoza at the first place and then move on to sushi for a little snack. After that, it's time for ramen and more! I order 2 cups of warm sake, then get 2 pieces each of horse mackerel, scallop, and tuna, along with some eel. I always order pickled vegetables last, and they are consistently delicious! The sushi is made right in front of you and served quickly. And it's affordable! It's perfect for a satisfying end to the meal - crispy and enjoyable to eat and drink with a smile.

Our English sushi!! We use it more like a seafood izakaya that you can enjoy with drinks rather than a traditional sushi restaurant lol For some reason, we don't eat much nigiri here ( ・∇・) We go for rolls! Thin rolls!! There are over 20 varieties and it's so much fun! Like grilled conger eel! And boiled whelk! There are plenty of perfect snacks too. Truly our English sushi!!

No, no, as always, the atmosphere is comfortable, flexible, and the food is delicious. On the Sunday after the Tokyo Marathon, the place is still bustling. It's 12 o'clock on Sunday and 90% of the seats are taken. People are enjoying lunch and quickly devouring sushi sets. I always order the simmered clams. It's so good, with a rich broth and a perfect texture, not too firm. I scoop it up with a spoon and savor the broth. The seared tuna fin is also great, it makes a tasty appetizer. You can have it half raw, half seared, it's worth trying. The grilled fin root is cooked slowly and has a chewy texture and lots of flavor. It was a hit! There were other dishes too but I didn't take photos of everything, haha! It's been a while since I last went, but I really like this place! Cheers!

This shop in Yushima is particularly helpful. They are open until late at night. It's the best!! The Negitoro, Toro Takuan, and Uramaki are the standard order menu items. The miso soup seeps into your intoxicated body. It's a joy to be able to eat this late at night! It's the best!! The Bakudan Maki is 2000 yen, which is quite expensive! haha Everything is delicious, the drinks are good too, I love it.

I tried a sashimi platter with 7 different types of fish for the first time. It cost 1800 yen and was really good. I was able to enjoy it slowly. I also had rapeseed blossoms in broth, sushi, herring, salmon roe, crab, miso soup with shrimp, scallops, pickled greens, wasabi rolls, and natto rolls. I was full after eating all of that. The total cost was 5250 yen.

Four people left Nagaoke's restaurant and headed to a place where one of the members sometimes goes. They indulged in all-you-can-drink, getting quite tipsy. They couldn't stop the drinking enthusiast's feet. They toasted with iced tea highballs, and then enjoyed a bottle of Kagemizuki (1500 yen), which was reasonably priced. The appetizers included simmered fuki and fried food. I was already full and couldn't decide on anything. The organizer ordered sashimi (horse mackerel, saury, sardine) and grilled shiitake mushrooms. I remember the shiny sashimi with rich flavor being delicious. They also added squid with seaweed sushi and rolls (tekka, kohada, tuna). For the finale, they had chawanmushi. The menu was extensive, and I imagine it would be quite difficult to choose if you were hungry. We talked a lot that day and laughed a lot under our masks. The biggest surprise was finding out that one of the members' husbands was a former idol. The world is full of interesting things. I didn't have the energy to take the train anymore, so I indulged in taking a taxi home from Ueno. In the end, it turned into a lavish day in Ueno.

I had a lunch meeting with a client at Engawa Ueno, where we had seafood. We mostly had appetizers, but the usual simmered red snapper head was still a great value. The fatty mackerel was delicious, and the tuna sashimi was also tasty, but I didn't enjoy the grilled conger eel. It was a bit dry and lacked the usual fatty texture. Maybe it was frozen? I thought maybe I should have ordered a simmered dish instead. However, I ended the meal with some sushi rolls and left feeling full and satisfied.

I was called out by a senior in life who said they were bored during the Bon festival, and we had lunch at Edo-Sushi in Okachimachi. They seemed really bored as they talked non-stop, but I enjoyed a leisurely meal of the classic simmered sea bream head, fatty mackerel sashimi, and sushi while listening to their stories. The restaurant was moderately empty, so I could relax and enjoy the delicious seafood dishes to my heart's content.
