Famous restaurant but first visit. The name "Ushigoro" apparently comes from the meaning of "the best time to eat beef". Visited with 3 men, and other tables mostly had stylish couples on dates. The course included a popular menu with special items like beef fillet, foie gras, truffle Rossini sandwich, and stone-grilled truffle bibimbap. Started with a seasonal Namul assortment, followed by Wagyu tartare Yukke with Italian fried bread "Gnocchi Fritti". The atmosphere was lively after the delicious Yukke. Service was provided by a friendly woman. Next was the snow crab cream croquette with karasumi, then a salad with lettuce and cucumber in sesame oil dressing. The tongue was served, grilled by the woman, with lemon juice. The thick-cut harami was slightly overcooked but still delicious. The seared red meat shabu-shabu with ponzu was tasty. The turnip soup was a bit salty but not overpowering. The Rossini sandwich was made with beef fillet, foie gras, and truffle on toast, very tasty. Water kimchi was a mild fermented food. The classic sukiyaki with shoulder loin was tender and flavorful. The stone-grilled truffle bibimbap was a luxurious fried rice dish. The sweet potato and vanilla ice cream dessert was a refreshing end to the meal. Other dessert options included Awa vinegar citrus smooth pudding, homemade almond tofu with mango sauce, and white coffee blancmange. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were excellent.

I ordered the fillet meat and it was tender and very tasty. The Shinshin and Kuri were refreshing as well. The Truffle Beef Tongue is a seasonal dish, but the aroma of truffle increased my appetite and I felt like I could eat more and more. I've never had the Fillet Rossini Sandwich anywhere else, but it was incredibly delicious. I ended the meal with Bibim noodles, which were also delicious. I left the restaurant extremely satisfied.

After finishing my errands in Minami Aoyama, I was planning to have lunch at my usual spot but it was full. However, I happened to find a yakiniku restaurant called Ushigoro on the second floor of the same building, and when I asked, they said they could seat two people right away. Today, it seems like bad luck turned into good luck! I'm excited to have yakiniku for lunch! I ordered the Ushigoro course set, which included thick-cut tongue, thick-cut harami (skirt steak), select lean meat, and select marbled meat, all of which melted in my mouth. The thinly sliced meat was best when grilled for just 5 seconds on each side. The set also came with kimchi, soup, salad, rice, and sherbet for dessert. It was a satisfying lunch. Since it was a bit late for lunch, the restaurant was empty by the time I left, so I took a picture of the atmosphere. I think it's relatively easy to casually walk into Ushigoro.
