It's a stylish roadside station. The bread looked delicious, so I ended up buying the "Gorogoro Wagyu Curry". It's a Tokachi Naitai Wagyu curry bread. I didn't know what it was, but it looked delicious so I bought it. It's still warm, not long after being fried. The crispy breadcrumbs on the surface are nice, and the filling indeed has tender Wagyu beef that tastes good. I thought it was a bit pricey, but overall it's quite good. Thank you for the meal.

After visiting the desired Naitai Terrace, I came to this roadside station which is the closest. I came to buy the delicious Upper Shihoro Milk Chocolate Cookies that I received as a souvenir before. (If interested, please refer to my previous review.) Inside the store, there are also eateries like Naitai Wagyu Burger, but since I just had lunch earlier, I will skip those and focus on buying souvenirs and bread for tomorrow morning. (Although I was tempted by the beef bowl shop if I had room in my stomach.) The store has a spacious eat-in area in the middle, and outside, I was able to comfortably cool off in the heat, which I appreciate. Since I just had lunch at Naitai Terrace, I skipped it, but there is also an attractive restaurant called La Table du Kamishihoro. They offer a tempting menu where you can have breakfast for 1,000 yen with free refills of bread and milk, so having breakfast here after leaving Tomamu, and then lunch at Naitai Terrace, could be a good plan. Oh, I also want to visit Yamabe-en.

We traveled from Furano to Kamishihoro around noon. Since we had eaten a lot at Furano's Lavista in the morning, we decided to have a light lunch at a bakery at the roadside station. The bread was delicious and the roadside station was new and clean, but in terms of cost performance, it wasn't very good, and we couldn't find any trash cans. I couldn't help but wonder about that, so that's my evaluation.

Naitai Wagyu is a top-notch restaurant. It is recommended for families visiting the countryside in Hokkaido. On this day, they were sold out of Naitai Wagyu, so I ordered Tokachi Herb Beef, but it was a bit tough for my liking. Next time, I feel it's better to choose Naitai Wagyu, even though it's more expensive.

I made a detour on my way back from the Pokéfuta trip! It was a bit late, so there were too few Tokatoka breads...! (I want to try again next time...) I was looking for a drink, but I was intrigued by this one... It had a fruity or floral taste like acacia honey. It had a subtle lemon flavor with the elegant sweetness of honey. The carbonation was normal strength. It was very easy to drink, not too sweet (didn't make my throat dry). It's a roadside station, but the design was stylish. I'm glad I was able to stop by this time! Thank you, Wu-ta-san!

Crab cream croquette set meal for 1600 yen. Comes with a drink bar. You can choose between bread and rice. The bread might be from Tokatoka inside the Michi no Eki. It was delicious. Soft and tasty. The presentation was nice and satisfying. The spacious interior was relaxing and enjoyable. This Michi no Eki seems to be lively with a new hamburger shop opening, so I would like to come back again.

To visit the Taushubetsu Bridge, you need to borrow a key to enter the forest road here. After borrowing the key, we decided to buy bread here and eat it in the car. The freshly baked bread was lined up in abundance and very delicious.

The michi-no-eki (roadside station) has also been renovated. Inside the store, there is a surprising amount of shop-like atmosphere. They have a variety of local specialties such as mountain vegetables, Tokachi bottled goods, and other famous products. I wanted to buy some mountain vegetables like taranome and wild garlic, but the weather was nice and I was worried about the temperature inside the car, so I sadly had to pass on them. Here, I ordered the following items: - Soy Chip Nori Salt for 200 yen - Sea Berry Soda for 270 yen These products were created by students from Shiborohigh School! I haven't tried the Sea Berry Soda yet, but I liked the taste of the ice cream, so I decided to buy it. I noticed that the price of the Sea Berry Soda varies greatly depending on the store. It's a product created by students. Maybe they are focusing on sales? I wanted to take my time and look around, but I had to hurry because my destination was right in front of me. I'll come back and take my time another day.

On the way back from Ashibetsu, I stopped by Akan to check it out. I already got a souvenir from the gacha, so I stamped my book here. It's so clean and spacious, being new and all. The food court is amazing. It was late in the evening and dark outside, so some breads were sold out and there weren't many options left, but I bought what was available. The small, chewy one was especially delicious. I guess I won't be able to come back this year, so maybe next year.

Tokachi. I visited with my family for a 2-night, 3-day trip. Recently, it seems like Tokachi is bustling with the "Natsuzora effect" (?). The facility that opened in June 2020 has a good atmosphere and delicious-looking food lined up! However... In Kamishihoro-cho. With hot springs, good scenery (including Taushubetsu in Kamishihoro), and delicious food, it's just about an hour's drive north from Obihiro Station. It's so close. Easy access. We arrived at 9:20 am. The parking lot is spacious. The building is new and impressive! But... The parking lot is spacious but no cars parked?! Could it be temporarily closed? The usual pattern? Checked the lights! They seem to be on. Automatic doors. They opened. Phew. The atmosphere is so nice, I love it. It has a stylish feel and is spacious. The decor is nice too. There are no cars outside, so there shouldn't be any customers inside, right? There are only staff and cleaning staff. It's empty, but the quality of the items for sale is high. The Tokatoka bread all looks delicious. If we weren't staying multiple nights, I would have bought some. I'm curious about the shops selling crepes and fruit sandwiches. I ate too much breakfast, so I couldn't try them, but I want to next time. There's also a light meal shop where you can eat beef bowls. The lineup is wonderful. There's also a restaurant, with course meals starting from 2,000 yen? This is also an interesting attempt. I'd like to try it someday. The retail space also has stylish items, and my family who came with me enjoyed browsing! While looking at the retail space, I found that milk was being sold at half price. However, the original price was 226 yen, so it's still around 100 yen. It's Tokachi's low-temperature sterilized milk, so I decided to buy and try it. The expiration date was only for that day. It's not in a bottle, but in a firm plastic container similar to Wakkanai Milk. I opened the lid. I had milk at the hotel that morning, but this one was undeniably delicious. It's a tasty milk with richness, depth, and smoothness. The road stations in the Tokachi area each have their own unique charm and are enjoyable. On this day, we visited Kamishihoro, Pure Shihoro, Oteng, and Tokachi River Onsen, and also went to Ikeda Castle Winery, all of which were enjoyable. However, they were all too quiet. Whether it's due to the current situation or the timing, I don't know, but I felt lonely because there were so few people despite the newly renovated or newly built facilities. GOTO will be temporarily suspended from the 28th, and it's not the time to be sightseeing now! I might get scolded for saying that, but I think it's only natural. Wearing masks and thorough hand sanitizing when using facilities or entering restaurants. These individual infection prevention measures are all we can do, but I believe that by doing them properly, it contributes to infection control.

Review of Kamishihoro Ashiato in September 2020: I couldn't go all the way there, so I'll review it like a stamp rally. Even though there are no special benefits, they have a variety of local products from Tokachi at this antenna shop. I was interested in two items and bought them: "Horonman" (meat and burdock bun) for 270 yen. Cute packaging like Ponyo, good texture with cabbage and burdock, and a flavor with a strong presence of burdock. "Tokachi Obihiro Ramen" (scallops soy sauce flavor) for 432 yen. Noodles with a firm and smooth straight texture, soup with a strong soy sauce flavor, but the scallop flavor was missing. Instant noodles these days are delicious, right? Thank you for the meal.

This is Kamishihoro Town. I visited the Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) that opened in June this year. It's located along a busy national highway, so I'm sure I'll be visiting here many times along with "Shihoro". The Michi-no-Eki Kamishihoro is a splendid building. Of course, it's very clean too since it just opened. Inside, there is a restaurant and even a bakery called "Tokatoka" that my wife likes. There are two takeout shops, so the dining area is spacious. Now, let's take a look at the shopping corner. I found some coffee beans. I'm buying them. I was drawn to the Michi-no-Eki original blend. Normally, I prefer strong dark roast coffee, but this time I decided to go for a gentle coffee. It's "Gentle coffee made from soybeans" 100g for 750 yen. It's a non-caffeinated coffee made from 100% Hayashikari soybeans from Kamishihoro. It's already ground. The grind is quite fine, so it tends to hold water when dripped. The aroma is just like soybeans. I thought it was lightly roasted, but it has a deep, rich flavor. This is quite an interesting coffee. But for me, I think I'll stick to regular coffee. ^^

Today, on my way back from an outing, I stopped by "Michi no Eki Kamishihoro," which opened at the end of May for the first time. It was lunchtime, so I decided to have lunch there. The dining area is divided into four sections: a restaurant for those who want to enjoy course meals leisurely, a takeout shop "UC STAND" for those who want a quick meal, a popular local bakery "Tokatoka," and a sweets shop. This time, I decided to try the "UC STAND" and had a luxurious beef bowl (1200 yen) made with local brand beef called "Tokachi Herb Beef." The beef is known for its lean meat with a good amount of marbling. Compared to chain restaurants, the beef in this bowl has a good amount of fat and flavor, making it worth savoring. Although it is called "Herb Beef," it doesn't have a herb flavor. The herb feed given to the cows helps with their digestion and appetite, resulting in a rich meat quality. The portion size was decent, with a moderate amount of rice and beef. I felt a bit hungry after finishing the beef bowl, so I bought some bread from Tokatoka to satisfy my appetite. If I have the chance, I would like to try the course meals at the restaurant next time.

I visited Kamishihoro Michi-no-Eki for the first time! Wow, another impressive Michi-no-Eki has been built, it's really something. The parking lot is huge and the interior is stylish and impressive. The construction cost must have been quite high. Since I came all the way here, I'll buy something. "I can't resist this." It's a smoked squid product for 586 yen including tax. It's just right for snacking. Let's dig in. The texture is not too soft, a bit firm, and there's not much smoky flavor. It's sour. Hmm, I can't resist this, it's so delicious. I couldn't stop eating it, it's a great snack for about 3 days. Thank you for the meal.

A new michi-no-eki (roadside station) opened in Kamishihoro. I found out about it through Aichi's review, while Yomemama found out through a different route. We both had the same idea to visit on a Sunday when our schedules aligned. We first stopped at the michi-no-eki to have lunch. I knew there were two registered places, one being the michi-no-eki. So, we shopped at the store. I got some Toka Toka bread and put it in Yomemama's basket at the register. She mentioned that we were at different registers, but the cashier said it was okay. I knew what I was doing. I bought black bean rice, also known as "black rice." I like red rice too, but I prefer black rice. Recently, they sell black bean rice that isn't really made with black beans. So, I asked the cashier to make it for me. It had various beans and was delicious. The rice itself was tasty too, being from Tokachi. I prefer a bit more saltiness, but it was still delicious and moist. It was a tasty meal.

This is the 127th roadside station opened in Hokkaido on June 11th. I collect country sign magnets, so whenever a new roadside station opens, I try to visit within a reasonable distance. I visited this station on a business trip from Obihiro, which is about 40 kilometers away. When I arrived, I was disappointed to find out that they didn't have the country sign stickers due to the impact of COVID-19. I'll have to come back again. Despite that, the new station had many stylish shops. There weren't many vegetable stalls, but I still bought some vegetables for home. The direct-sold vegetables were cheap and fresh, which was great!
