龍馬の子孫?
On January 27, 2017, around 6:05 pm, I revisited the restaurant. I had received a free drink voucher the day before, so I decided to try it out at night. There was one customer when I arrived, and about 20 customers came in later. There were also around 10 people in a reserved group. I was seated at the same table as the day before when I visited for lunch. I ordered a "Lemon Sour 380 yen (excluding tax)" as my free drink. The appetizer for the day was "Okra and yam with grated yam and seaweed topping 300 yen (excluding tax)." The main page of the food review site states that the appetizer and seating fee are free, but it seems to be information from when the restaurant first opened. Of course, the counter seats that were available at the opening had changed to table seats. I decided to order the "Beef tendon and konjac simmered dish with Asakusa flavor 650 yen (excluding tax)." I was also interested in the "Octopus croquette 550 yen (excluding tax), but I decided to pass for now since I wasn't sure about the portion size. The "Beef tendon and konjac simmered dish" that was served had a decent portion size. When I saw the price of the dishes, I thought it might be a bit expensive, but with this much volume, I thought it was satisfying. For an additional drink, I ordered the sake "Matsubaume Gokai 450 yen (excluding tax)" served cold. Even at individually operated izakaya in Tokyo, Gokai usually costs around 400 yen including tax, so the drink prices were set a bit higher. After visiting hundreds of izakaya, you start to get a sense of the typical prices. Of course, I also hear about the cost prices from acquaintances in the liquor industry. I changed my additional drink to "Iichiko Mizuwari 500 yen (excluding tax)." This was also priced slightly higher, about 10-20%. It seems like this restaurant is targeting business people over the age of 50, rather than people in their 20s or 30s. The majority of people working in the buildings of major companies are subcontractors, and only a handful of regular employees receive bonuses. It's important to understand this reality to avoid trouble. For an additional snack, I ordered some skewers. I ordered one each of "Pork belly 200 yen (excluding tax)," "Chicken skin 150 yen (excluding tax)," and "Tsukune 150 yen (excluding tax)." You can order individual skewers without being limited to two, which is a plus. The chicken skin was grilled with salt, while the others were grilled with sauce. The skewers were decent for their price. I had a total of three Iichiko Mizuwari and settled the bill. When I asked the female staff, she mentioned that there used to be counter seats, but the chef seemed to be a bit shy, so they changed to table seats and even added partitions. I think regular customers won't come unless there is interaction with them, but what do you think? Well, the rent must be high. The total bill for the day was 3,672 yen (3,400 yen excluding tax). Thank you for the meal.
