"Pork kakuni, half chicken, and vegetables" is not a curry with strong spices and a watery consistency. Instead, it has only three elements resembling soup curry: 1. Lots of various vegetables 2. Tender chicken leg meat 3. Firm rice served separately. The curry is of a Japanese style, not the soup type. Personally, I think it would be nice to have more unique flavors in curry, not just soy milk or coconut. This place is a competitive area for curry. By the way, the Sunday lunch was so popular that there was a line. I wonder if this will continue for a while.

Shimokitazawa is extremely crowded with a one-hour wait, Kagurazaka is also quite busy, and Kamakura is super crowded. How about Kitazando? It's empty! It's a strange place after all. Kitazando is far from Harajuku too. I decided to try the natto keema curry, but it mostly tastes like natto. Natto is amazing, isn't it?

I actually came to Harajuku to eat sushi, but the restaurant closed early, so I ended up at a substitute curry place in a back alley. The toppings on the menu looked delicious, so I went for the high-calorie option with cheese and a seasoned egg. While Shimokitazawa is always crowded during lunchtime, the Harajuku branch was empty and might be a hidden gem.

I went to eat a vegetable-packed soup curry that can fulfill your daily vegetable intake in one meal. However, I recommend going on an empty stomach because the generous amount of ingredients can be quite overwhelming. The braised pork was tender, and with seasonal ingredients like Chinese yam, it was satisfying enough to feel like a complete meal in itself.

I was able to try Hokkaido soup curry, and there were many menu options that all looked delicious ✨ The curry was full of vegetables and the chicken was tender. The zangi was crispy and well-seasoned. You can also choose the level of spiciness for the curry, so you can customize it to your liking. It was really delicious!

I visited around 2 pm on a weekday. The restaurant was about 1/5 full, with mostly solo diners. I sat at the counter seat towards the back. While eating, I wished I had a window seat for a better view. I ordered chicken and vegetable soup curry. The first sip of the soup was amazing! The meat was tender and the vegetables, especially the burdock, were delicious! I want to try something different next time. I also want to visit the Shimokitazawa branch! Thank you for the meal!

Soup Curry Sapporo, a soup curry restaurant from Sapporo, has expanded to Tokyo. This restaurant is part of the same group as the one in Shimokitazawa. The chicken in the curry is tender and delicious, but here there are also a lot of vegetables, each one very tasty. #Curry #SoupCurry

I heard that a popular soup curry restaurant from Hokkaido has opened in Harajuku, so I visited for the first time. I arrived 15 minutes before opening on a weekday, and I was the first in line. By the time 30 minutes had passed since opening, the restaurant was already full. I ordered the Chicken and 20 kinds of daily vegetables for ¥1,815. The chicken was crispy and bone-in, but the bones came off easily making it easy to eat. The vegetables included carrots, cabbage, broccoli, wood ear mushrooms, okra, bell peppers, burdock, lotus root, soybeans, pumpkin, eggplant, bell peppers, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, tomatoes, zucchini, daikon radish, baby corn, green beans. I chose a spicy soup, so it was deliciously spicy. With so many vegetables, I was full before finishing the small rice. Eating until the end, the sweetness of the vegetables melted into the curry sauce, creating a mild flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed the curry. My friend chose the Shrimp Ebi Soup Curry for ¥1,870, which had a concentrated shrimp flavor that blended well with the curry. We also tried the Yuzu Honey Lassi as a service with a new open commemorative ticket. The homemade lassi with yuzu honey was rich and delicious. I would like to visit this curry restaurant again when I want to eat lots of vegetables.

It was my day off, so I lined up around 2 pm and ordered the Natto Keema with half a chicken, warm egg, cheese topping, regular soup, spice level 7, rice size M. It had a sweet and spicy flavor and was delicious. The spice level was just right, but when I bit into a piece of chili, it was a bit too spicy. The portion was generous and satisfying.

There are nearly 5,000 curry restaurants in Tokyo, with surprisingly around 120 of them being soup curry restaurants. In Sapporo, where soup curry originated, there are still around 200 restaurants in the city since the boom in the 2000s. One of the key figures who helped spread soup curry from Sapporo to Tokyo and nationwide is "Rojiura Curry Samurai." Their Harajuku branch is set to open in January 2023. Today, let's warm up our bodies with some soup curry. Located near JR Harajuku Station, just past the popular curry restaurant "Minoringo," you'll find the new Rojiura Curry Samurai branch. I ordered the standard "Chicken and Vegetable Curry (1,485 yen)" and also received a complimentary soft drink, "Yuzu Honey Lassi," for following them on Instagram. You can choose between tender or crispy chicken, and the aroma of the rich soup curry is already mouthwatering. The concentrated soup, simmered for two days with chicken, pork bones, dried bonito, and kelp, along with caramelized onions, tomatoes, and spices, is packed with flavor. I opted for medium spiciness, which enhanced the umami taste. The variety of vegetables, the stars of the dish, are visually appealing and cooked to perfection, bringing out their unique textures and flavors. With just a bit of bone to navigate, the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. This dish is a delightful experience for the taste buds, sense of smell, sight, and even hearing. It was a fantastic meal.

I had originally planned to eat something completely different, but the chilly weather got to me and I ended up craving soup curry. By chance, I found out that Logiura had opened in Harajuku on 1/25, so I quickly changed my plans. Located in Harajuku, just past Omotesando Station on the right side, across from Deck Coffee. It took me about 10 minutes to leisurely walk there. I arrived at 5:30 and ordered the pork belly, half chicken, and vegetable soup curry. I chose regular soup without rice (-30 yen) and spice level 8 (+200 yen), totaling 1730 yen. It was served in about 10 minutes. The soup seemed thicker than level 7 spiciness. Without the Pricklynu, the curry itself had a hint of tomato sweetness. The vegetables included soybeans, lotus root, carrots, cabbage, pumpkin, red and yellow bell peppers, green peppers, Pricklynu, broccoli, shiitake mushrooms, okra, burdock, and eggplant. I was particularly impressed by the texture of the soybeans this time. I always appreciate the deliciousness of the vegetables at this restaurant. After eating the Pricklynu and feeling warm, I suddenly thought, why would a country like Thailand (excluding the mountainous regions) need to feel warm? - A thought that may be a bit presumptuous.

A popular soup curry specialty store that has been featured in many media outlets has opened in Shibuya Ward ❤️ Recommended for: - Individuals or groups - Solo diners - Casual dates, hanging out with friends - Takeout orders - A quiet and cozy restaurant away from the hustle and bustle If you're interested, don't forget to press the ribbon icon in the lower right corner of the image to save it for later use **┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈** Chicken and vegetable soup curry: ¥1485 (tax included) - ¥10 discount for less rice - Free baked cheese topping (present the coupon post by following the official account @samurai.harajuku until the end of February) Total: ¥1475 *Cash payment only (as of 1/31)**┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈** ・Ingredients: Vegetables are sourced from passionate contract farmers in Shihoku and Nayoro cities in Hokkaido. Each ingredient is cooked to bring out its maximum flavor. This soup curry is rich in nutrients from a variety of vegetables. The rice used is "Kirara 397" grown with love by the owner's family in Shihoku City, Hokkaido. A blend of white and brown rice for maximum nutritional value. The curry is mild with a spice level of 3, and you can choose less rice. (For more details, refer to pic7 for enlargement) Toppings include 12 types of vegetables (refer to pic9). ・Taste: Simply delicious ✨ I've actually been to the Shimokitazawa store before and have been a fan ever since! Unlike regular soup curry with large chunks of vegetables, they are cut small and varied... that's the concept, but they are still quite big, especially the fried ones? All of them have sweetness and texture, and they are amazing! I particularly loved the burdock ❤️ Also, the baked cheese! So good!! It paired well, so I recommend it ✨ The curry is thin but has a creamy texture from mixing the vegetables, depth of flavor, and it goes great with rice! Spice level 3 is "spicy," and it was indeed "spicy." 😂 I preferred the deliciousness over the spiciness, so it's good for me 🏃‍♀️ If you like strong spiciness, go for level 4 or higher, but if you don't want it too spicy, levels 2 and below might be better. The rice itself is delicious and goes perfectly with the curry. If you have similar tastes, definitely give it a try ✨ ・Other menu items: Refer to pic7 for details. Enlarge for a better view ・Interior: They have different atmospheres for each store. A cozy and natural vibe, and despite being crowded, it was calm. Seating: Tables and counter seats available. Crowded: Almost full on a weekday at 2:00 PM! Even though it was off-peak hours, it's truly a popular spot. However, the turnover rate was good. Customer base: 20-50 year olds. Many office workers on weekdays. Solo diners were common regardless of gender. COVID-19 measures: Hand sanitizers available. Service: Despite being busy, the staff were actively and politely serving customers ☺️ ・Follow the official account for free baked cheese and drinks. This might become a popular spot too, so if you want to go, do it soon.

While strolling around Harajuku, I noticed that a popular udon restaurant known for its curry udon was undergoing interior work. I was curious to see what kind of restaurant it would become, so I occasionally checked on its progress and found out when it opened. The restaurant is located right in between Harajuku Station and Kita-Sando Station. It is situated on a street that diagonally intersects Meiji Street, with its entrance facing the street. The entrance is on a narrow part of the building, and there are glass-walled seating areas visible on another side. Inside, the interior is stylish with a focus on wood and exposed surfaces. The layout is similar to the previous udon restaurant, but the interior has been beautifully renovated. There is a counter and a register near the door, with a few 2-seater tables by the window and additional counter seating towards the back facing the kitchen window. Despite it being just after the lunch rush, the place was packed with customers. I found out that the restaurant is famous in Hokkaido, and they have several branches in Tokyo as well, all with high ratings. I was in the mood for lots of vegetables, so I ordered the Chicken and 20-ingredient Vegetable Set for a day's worth of vegetables. The Hokkaido Experience Set also looked delicious! There were three types of curry and the chicken was crispy and tender, with the option to choose the level of spiciness. There is a chalkboard on the wall with the names of today's vegetables. You can choose your vegetables in the set or as toppings, making it exciting to try different vegetables each time. The finished curry was impressive, with plenty of vegetables that made it impossible not to taste good. The soup curry was light and flavorful, with a generous amount of vegetables. The vegetables seemed lightly fried, especially the root vegetables with a thin coating, showing the care taken in cooking. The chicken I ordered was crispy and delicious. The crispy skin absorbed the curry as time passed, adding a subtle curry flavor to the skin. I initially thought the soup was too much, but as I ate, I realized it was just the right amount. The rice portion was also just right, not too much or too little. The restaurant was bustling right after opening, so it seems like it will become a popular spot where you might have to wait in line. I look forward to trying a different curry next time. Thank you for the meal.

The popular soup curry restaurant has plenty of vegetables and is delicious. I asked them to remove a vegetable I don't like, and they asked me what I would like instead. Such wonderful service!! It was the perfect dish for a cold day.
