A popular yakiniku restaurant in Hiroo, Bokudon Bokushoku, is a mysterious place where anyone can make a reservation for the first time in a new and upcoming group with a member-only, non-public address and no SNS posting allowed. The reservation times are 16:30, 18:45, and 21:00, but if you arrive 5 minutes before the reservation time, the door is closed!!! It seems like the door opens right on time. So, we waited in the park in front of the restaurant until the time came (laughs). There were others waiting as well. When the time came, the door opened, and we entered. There are seats on the first and second floors, and we chose the second floor on that day. The interior of the restaurant is clean and stylish, completely different from its mysterious exterior (laughs). The food is only available in a course menu for 7,900 yen, with all drinks priced at only 90 yen, which is incredibly cheap!!! I might end up overeating accidentally (laughs). - A refreshing glass of draft beer to start. The manager took care of us that day and asked if we came hungry, to which we replied "Yes" (laughs). - A mountain of kimchi, enough for two people with a generous portion. It's mild and delicious without the sourness. You can ask for a refill!!! - Tongue, skirt, and rumen, a 3 kinds platter with the original spice blend of the restaurant. The tongue is delicious as it is, but it tastes even better when squeezed with lemon!!! The tongue was incredibly juicy and tender. - Grilled vegetables, peppers, and eggplants. Peppers and eggplants are delicious when grilled, but they were also good as a palate cleanser when eaten raw. - A mountain of fresh lettuce. The skirt is fresh and juicy, meaty, yet light. The restaurant's specialty meat showcase. The manager said it was okay to show his face. Nice smile!!! - Gluttonous roast green onions with a full cup. The sauce for the meat is prepared with ponzu and soy sauce. Mix the green onions and meat well before grilling quickly. The grill is changed each time, and we ordered another beer. - Galbi roast. It's a huge portion of meat. It's recommended to dip it in raw egg for a sukiyaki-style taste. The galbi has a lot of fat, so it burns well (laughs). The meat with the sauce turned out to be surprisingly flavorful, so rice is a must!!! The delicious meat makes you want to eat a lot. We were told that we could have one meat refill, so we asked for a half portion of rice as well. - Cold noodles. We thought a big portion would come out like before, but it was a mini cold noodle, which was a relief (laughs). The noodles were chewy, and the soup was delicious. The owner seems to be particular about it. The course meat is about 450g per person, and although I've been saying that I can't eat as much due to my age, I had no problem eating the delicious meat (laughs). It's strange that none of the meats were too heavy. The staff were friendly and smiling. I thought about making a reservation for the next time before leaving, but it seems that reservations are only available online, which is a shame. By the way, reservations for January next year are already full, so maybe I should try for a cancellation. If I can get a reservation, I'll go again (*^^*)
