Near the intersection of Asakusa, Denboin Street, and Nikomi Street, there is a place called "Kaki Koya." Although I have visited countless times, I only just noticed it for the first time. It was around 4 pm on a Saturday evening when I decided to go in, alone as usual. I started with the usual order of a draft beer. Since it's a place known for oysters, I also ordered two types of fresh oysters, one from Matsushima and one from Hiroshima. Before the fresh oysters arrived, they brought out grilled oysters and grilled clams, showing great attention to detail. The clams and oysters were both delicious, with the taste of the sea filling my mouth. The fresh oysters were particularly flavorful, with a strong taste of the sea. They are often referred to as the "milk of the sea," but they are definitely oysters through and through. As my beer ran out, I switched to a shochu highball. The highball came with a slice of lemon floating in it, adding a subtle lemony fragrance to the drink. This simple service was a nice touch. Looking around, I noticed quite a few female customers, mostly in their 20s and 30s, in groups of 2 to 4. This added to the enjoyment of the delicious oysters. I decided to order some horse sashimi as an additional snack. The horse sashimi arrived quickly, with no gamey smell and a tender yet chewy texture. The soy sauce was slightly sweet, perhaps from Kyushu. I ordered another highball, enjoyed the tasty oysters and horse sashimi, and left the restaurant feeling content. Kaki Koya was a delightful place where I could savor delicious seafood and enjoy the sight of beautiful women.

This is a small oyster shack. I came here for drinks in the afternoon. I ordered a White Hoppy set for 520 yen, Ankimo with ponzu sauce for 480 yen, scallops for 480 yen, and grilled oysters for 490 yen. The shochu is 300 yen per glass. We were served satsuma-age (fried fish cake) and dried sardines as appetizers. There is a grill in the middle of the table for us to enjoy grilling our own food. The Ankimo with ponzu sauce comes with seaweed, green onions, and grated daikon radish. The scallops are rich and go well with alcohol. The oysters are flavorful and juicy. It was a great place to enjoy grilling and eating.

I arrived around 5pm on Saturday and was lucky enough to be seated without waiting. I ordered a set of 5 types of fresh oysters from Iwate, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Okayama, and Hyogo. They were all plump and delicious. I also ordered grilled oysters (with a coupon from Tabelog), 7 grilled and 5 steamed oysters. They were all juicy and tasty with firm meat. I also had some fried oysters. I enjoyed the oysters so much that I think I can go without eating them for a while. Despite enjoying a variety of oysters, the bill was not too expensive.

I stopped by because the all-you-can-drink option was cheap. There were no open seats, so I had the staff light the grill for me and enjoyed a cozy atmosphere by the fire. The appetizer grilled dish and stingray fin were delicious, especially when seasoned with the tableside cooking sake and shichimi. The ponzu sauce with shirako was tasty. They also had Tsujiri's matcha milk highball on the all-you-can-drink menu, which was not too sweet and very delicious, so I ended up drinking that a lot.

It is located a 2-minute walk from Exit A1 of Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express. When you walk to the right from the exit, you will find it on the right side. I went there right after it opened and it wasn't crowded at all, so I was able to enjoy my meal leisurely. I left after about 2 hours and by then, half of the seats were filled. It seems like you can go without a reservation. Each table has a grill set up, so you can cook and eat your food yourself. It was fun to wear gloves, hold tongs, and chat with friends while eating. They serve not only grilled oysters but also steamed and raw ones. I was very satisfied with being able to taste various oyster dishes. Another attraction is that you can also enjoy seafood such as shrimp and turban shell, in addition to oysters.

Grilled seafood for the first time in the city. A set of two types of fresh oysters for 1360 yen. The oysters were big, plump, and had a refreshing taste in saltwater. The Grilled Seafood Asakusa Set included smaller grilled oysters that were sweet, fluffy, and rich in flavor. The clams, scallops, turban shells, shrimp, and miso soup were all delicious and satisfying. It was a special experience for a daytime drink.

The restaurant is located about a 5-10 minute walk from Asakusa Station, near Hoppy Street, so it's easy to find. I wanted to eat oysters that day, so I decided to visit this restaurant. I originally wanted to do all-you-can-eat, but since it wasn't available on the day, I decided to order a la carte. Next time, I'll make sure to make a reservation. The raw oysters were delicious, with great freshness. When eaten with grated daikon and ponzu sauce, they melted in my mouth and were so tasty. I was worried about getting sick, but everything was fine.

Conclusion: If you're going to eat oysters, go for the all-you-can-eat option. I ordered a la carte, but if you plan to eat more than 12 oysters, the 60-minute all-you-can-eat option for steamed and grilled oysters at 3,000 yen is a better choice. You can easily eat your fill! If you also want to eat raw oysters or fried oysters, a la carte might be better. Personally, I'm not that drawn to raw oysters lately, so I just want to eat steamed oysters. The Lemonsko that the staff lent me goes well with it!

I took a friend who had never eaten raw oysters before. Since they drink a lot, I made a reservation for all-you-can-drink. We had steamed oysters as a starter and used a coupon for grilled oysters. Raw oysters were around 500 yen each, so getting a set of three didn't save much money, not very cost-effective. The prices for grilled dishes were also on the higher side. Despite that, my friend seemed to enjoy the taste, so I'm glad.

I wanted to eat oysters, so I went to this oyster shack near Asakusa. The interior of the restaurant smelled quite strong, which was disappointing. The atmosphere was similar to Isomaru○○. We were served steamed oysters and clams as a starter, which was surprising. The portion was good and the taste was nice. It was a bit of a hassle to shuck the shells ourselves though. For the main dish, there were three types of fresh oysters available that day. Despite it being an oyster specialty restaurant, the selection seemed a bit limited. There were two from Nara Prefecture and one from Hokkaido. There wasn't a really rich and flavorful one, so they tasted average. It's a good place to enjoy oysters while drinking in an izakaya setting. There were plenty of other izakaya menu items available as well. The seafood grilled dishes were abundant. The surf clam and scallops were delicious. I had a cold beer to drink, which was nice and refreshing. The smell was a bit of a concern throughout, and I couldn't even go to the restroom. It's understandable for a seafood specialty restaurant, but it would be nice if it was a bit cleaner. Overall, it was a good meal.

I found this restaurant by chance while walking in Asakusa. My friend loves oysters, so we decided to check it out. This place is all about oysters. The appetizer includes steamed oysters (2 per person) and steamed clams. They provide instructions on how to open the oysters, so no worries there. The raw oysters are not as big as rock oysters, but they are creamy and delicious. The oyster fry is also rich and tasty. The crab miso is lightly grilled on a stove and mixed with salmon roe and sea urchin, making it a perfect accompaniment to sake.

First time at an oyster shack. I love oysters! I love sazae! As a starter, steamed oysters. The alcohol was also delicious, I wish I could have drunk more slowly but had other plans and wanted to try various dishes. I would like to visit this restaurant again if I have the chance.

Visited during lunchtime. The live oysters are only from Hokkaido. The seafood treasure chest is like a bouillabaisse - simple yet full of flavor. Only a few customers, just us and one other table. The plates were cleared too quickly, giving a rushed feeling.

I went for lunch. There were several set meals priced at 980 yen. I chose the mixed fry set meal. The taste was neither good nor bad. There was also a set with three oysters for 1620 yen. When it was served, I was told, "There are bacteria so don't touch the shell with your mouth." It was the first time I heard that about raw oysters, so it made me a bit concerned, but I decided to enjoy them without thinking too much. One thing that bothered me was that they kept coming to take the plates away quickly. Sometimes the conversation was interrupted, and there were not enough plates or cups, even though there were only two of us in the restaurant. It's a shame because the restaurant has a nice atmosphere like a clam grill place next to Sensoji Temple.

I've passed by this shop many times, but I couldn't go in alone, so it was difficult to enter. However, on this day, I was able to enter with about 10 people. The shop has been open for about 3 years. We sat near the entrance and had steamed oysters, grilled oysters, and more. I really wanted to try raw oysters, but one of my companions is not good with raw food, so I had to give up on that. I would like to try them next time. Unfortunately, there are no photos due to circumstances.
