Theme: Please recommend delicious restaurants! (15001) Category: Outdoor Dining Wanting to use up my T-point rewards on Tabelog before they expire at the end of December, I searched for a lunch spot in Ginza. Surprisingly, there were not many options for using T-points during lunchtime. However, I stumbled upon a sushi restaurant that looked delicious and tempting - "Otaru Masazushi Ginza", a famous restaurant from Hokkaido's Otaru. I heard that the fish is directly shipped from Hokkaido. I made a reservation for the lunch-only "Shunka" course priced at 3,278 yen. I was seated at the counter, my first time dining alone at a sushi restaurant. I decided to order Otaru's white wine to accompany my meal. I was served an appetizer, which I believe was taro. The chefs behind the counter worked swiftly and efficiently. I mentioned that I do not particularly enjoy shellfish other than squid, octopus, and scallops. I was recommended to try the sea bream with yuzu and soy sauce, which was absolutely delicious. I tried the herring sushi for the first time. Apparently, herring is not commonly found in Tokyo, but it is a specialty in Otaru. The sweet shrimp, marinated shrimp heads, and seared salmon were also delightful. Although I usually do not enjoy cured mackerel, this time I found it quite tasty. The marinated tuna was heavenly. I chose the "Buffoon Sea Urchin" as my customizable sushi, which was served with salt. The sea urchin was air-shipped all the way from Hokkaido and it was incredibly sweet and delicious. The meal ended with a soup and dessert consisting of rice cake, sweet red bean paste, rice cake sandwich, and sweet potato. The presence of sweet potato in the dessert was a bit surprising but intriguing. The counter seats were separated by acrylic boards, providing a safe dining experience. The restaurant is located in the Pola Building in Ginza 1-chome. As soon as I stepped off the elevator, I was greeted by a modern yet traditional Japanese ambiance. The sushi was incredibly delicious, and I would love to visit again in the future.

I was taken to this restaurant after watching a baseball game, and all the dishes were so delicious that it was truly moving. The ingredients were fresh and the drinks were flowing. It has become one of the places I want to visit again. The service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant. I look forward to trying various dishes next time I visit, especially the sashimi.

The sushi I had this time was not the best. They served seared salmon, but it didn't taste fresh. The rice was a bit hard and cold. The seaweed was no longer crispy, it was a bit chewy. However, the service and location were good.

I had the "Ultimate" course for lunch. For the appetizer, I had cheese tofu wrapped in Yoshino kudzu, which included 7 pieces of sushi: scallop, herring, button shrimp, button shrimp with miso, salmon, sea urchin battleship, and salmon roe battleship. I also added purple sea urchin battleship, conger eel, and salted cuttlefish with vinegar. The sea urchin was amazing, especially the sea urchin battleship and the sea urchin prepared with alum. The seasonal lychee sorbet was a perfect way to end the meal. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, and I was impressed with each piece of sushi. The chef paid attention to every detail and provided thorough explanations, making it a truly blissful dining experience. The bill was surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the meal!

After finishing up errands in Ginza in the morning and exploring nearby antenna shops, I headed to the reserved restaurant "Otaru Masazushi Ginza." I had reserved the "Ultimate" lunch course. The restaurant is located on the 10th floor of the POLA GINZA building in Ginza 1-chome. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the sushi chef who would be exclusively preparing sushi for us. It was a pleasant surprise as we were only expecting a set course. The chef even asked us about our preferred size of the shari (sushi rice), which was a thoughtful touch. I opted for smaller shari. The meal started with a delicious cheese tofu made with Yoshino kudzu. It was smooth and subtly salty, a perfect start to the sushi experience. The sushi began with scallop, sliced thick and melting in the mouth. It was followed by herring, surprisingly fatty and delicious. Then came the sticky sweet shrimp, fresh and firm. The shrimp head gunkan-maki was rich and flavorful. The salmon was unlike any I had tasted before, with no fishy smell. A warm bonito broth was served next, comforting and aromatic. The sea urchin gunkan-maki was creamy and delicate, while the salmon roe gunkan-maki was bursting with texture. I also ordered extra medium fatty tuna, a perfect way to end the meal. A refreshing lychee sorbet and green tea closed the course. Each dish was meticulously prepared and allowed me to savor the ingredients fully, leaving me extremely satisfied. The warm farewell and reasonable prices further impressed me. I will definitely be visiting "Otaru" again soon. (^^)

They kindly accommodated my allergies, which was a great help. I was also moved by the surprise birthday plate they prepared. All the dishes were delicious, and even though it was hot outside since the morning, I was able to spend a happy time in the private room. I now have another restaurant I want to visit again. A 29-year-old friend asked me to treat her to a serious sushi meal before she turns 30, so I agreed and we went to a local renowned sushi restaurant. I remember going to the main branch in Otaru when I was in high school, and the sweetness of the fish melted in my mouth. The restaurant was fully booked on a Tuesday at 8 pm, but we managed to get seats at the counter. The conclusion: incredibly delicious!! It's obvious that fish flown in from Hokkaido wouldn't taste bad. Moreover, this restaurant, which I believe is the most famous in Otaru, provided dishes with flavors that perfectly complemented the ingredients. It felt like we were being fed by professionals. The chef's explanations about various things were delivered in a pleasant manner. I once went to a slightly expensive restaurant in Ginza and found the atmosphere intimidating, but the service we received here was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making the dining experience enjoyable. The person who guided us when we made a reservation and explained things to us was very polite and thoughtful, which made us happy. Thank you very much. We also made friends with someone from Sapporo at the neighboring table. Hokkaido is the best!! I will definitely go back. The 29-year-old girl, even though she had finished the course, ordered crab and scallops separately, and went home with what seemed like an alien in her lower abdomen (laughs). She was extremely satisfied and will be turning 30 at the end of this month. I still don't understand the significance. Personally, I thought the cherry salmon was delicious. Once again, it was incredibly delicious!!

I want to try high-quality sushi with my friend in a casual way, and the counter seat was great. The chef's service was excellent, very attentive. The sushi was delicious, and even though I didn't like sea urchin before, I now like it. The restaurant was also clean, and I would like to visit again.

There are private rooms and a counter, making it perfect for dining together. We were a group of three, so we used a private room. We ordered the 6600 yen (tax included) sushi course. Each piece of sushi looked beautiful and sparkled. The uni on the chirashi bowl was also amazing. The taste and presentation were both excellent. The prices were relatively reasonable for the quality of the food.

Cost performance is the best! The food was delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. I took my large foreign friend to lunch and they were very satisfied. The menu had fish names written in English, making it a friendly place for foreign customers. We chose the set where you can pick your favorite sushi for the last piece, making it a very enjoyable lunch.

This was my second visit to "Otaru Masazushi". We were seated at the counter this time. Due to my companion's circumstances, we ordered a la carte dishes. But I still think the course menu is better! It's always better to order a course at a sushi restaurant. The famous squid noodles and salmon roe were delicious. Next time, I will definitely order the course menu. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant on my ex-husband's birthday and was drawn in by the delicious sushi and the friendly nature of the chefs. Sushi really does taste different when it's so good! The seaweed is delicious!! And the chefs are very friendly and kind. This restaurant is also unique in that they write a message in chocolate on a dessert plate! Highly recommended for special occasions! This time, I chose the lunch course where you can select your favorite piece at the end, and you can really choose from all the menu items, amazing...!

I love Otaru Masazushi and I found out they have a branch in Ginza, so I decided to go. This time, I sat in a semi-private room instead of at the counter. I realized that sushi is best enjoyed at the counter, but this time I had work to do so it couldn't be helped. Next time, I definitely want to sit at the counter. The ingredients flown in daily from Otaru were truly amazing. I never thought I could eat such delicious herring in Tokyo. It was incredibly delicious.

I made a reservation in advance for lunch with a friend at Sushizushi located on the 10th floor of the POLA Building, just a short walk from Ginza-itchome Station, exit 7. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very elegant and clean. We sat at the counter and enjoyed the following dishes: - Glass of sparkling wine for 1000 yen - Otaru set for 5478 yen, which included a variety of fresh cheese appetizers, 12 pieces of sushi (including Hokkaido sea urchin, botan shrimp, salmon aburi, otoro, and tamago), and a unique dessert of chestnut ice cream and tea. The non-rotating sushi in Ginza was a great value for the price, and the staff were very kind and attentive. The chef even asked about the rice portion size to ensure it was to our liking. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

The sushi rice here is on the sweeter side because the main branch is in Hokkaido. While Edo-style sushi typically has more vinegary rice, I personally prefer sweeter rice so it was perfect for me! I was able to enjoy toppings that are not typically found on the mainland, the atmosphere was nice, and I was very satisfied. The price of the sushi course for lunch is also quite reasonable for Ginza.

We ordered the course menu for ¥3278, which included a special appetizer, recommended 7 pieces of sushi, a soup, and dessert. They asked about any allergies or dislikes at the beginning. The shrimp was delicious and had a nice texture. Having a private room allowed us to talk without worrying about others around us.

Today, I had lunch at the renowned restaurant Sushi Masu in Ginza, Otaru. I ordered the Takumi course, which included a starter followed by 12 pieces of sushi. The saltwater sea urchin in particular melted in my mouth, showcasing the freshness of being air-flown from Hokkaido. Visited on a weekday between Sunday and a holiday around 11:30 without a reservation with two people. We were seated promptly at the counter. We ordered the course menu and each sushi piece was served one after another. They were attentive and refilled the pickled ginger when it ran out. The glasses for shochu were a bit small. Every sushi was delicious.

I heard that there is a shop in Ginza that I have visited in Otaru, so I decided to visit. It was a lunch visit, and I was shocked by the fact that the lunch course was very reasonable, starting from 2,800 yen. This time, I chose a course that cost around 6,500 yen. I was pleased that they asked about my dislikes and allergies before the course started (I have many dislikes despite being a sushi lover). The four appetizers were simply delicious. Next, they served squid somen (uni mixed with egg yolk soup). It was a new way of eating and quite tasty, although the squid itself was just average. Then, I had shirako (milt) and raw oysters. I couldn't eat the oysters as I don't like them, but the shirako was delicious. The sushi was average. The uni in the ikura (salmon roe) and uni rice bowl was delicious.

I went to celebrate a family birthday. When I made the reservation over the phone, I consulted about various things, and they responded kindly and politely, so I was able to enjoy my time there. We chose the premium course, and all the dishes were delicious. I tried the herring sashimi, which I had a negative image of because of its smell, but I was surprised that it had no smell and was very tasty with a nice fatty texture. I also really liked the sea urchin sushi, which was very creamy and sweet. I added it as an extra dish. The first dish took a bit long to come out, but after that, the pace was good. The sake paired well with the food and I enjoyed it. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.
