At the end of Golden Week, I went to relax my tired body. I visited a shop that I had been curious about for a while. I started with a draft beer. This place seems to be affiliated with the famous "Ishii" in Chofu. That means the meat is definitely fresh! The menu includes unique cuts at reasonable prices. On this day, I ordered salted tongue, tongue sashimi, tripe, "megane" (literally glasses), pork jowl, "phantom" rose harami, and a salad with spring chrysanthemum. The salted tongue was ordinary. The tripe was sliced very thinly and had a chewy texture, which became addictive. The "megane" also had a chewy texture, but the toughness was a bit of a concern. It had a good amount of fat, but there were many tough parts. The pork jowl was very fatty, like typical pork belly. It shrinks a lot when grilled and goes well with salt. The "phantom" rose harami was greasier compared to regular harami, so I prefer the regular harami. The spring chrysanthemum salad had crunchy fresh chrysanthemum with a good aroma and delicious seasoning. Meat really gives you energy! Thank you for the meal.

This is a popular restaurant where you can enjoy delicious meat at a reasonable price. Reservations are a must even on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays when reservations are not accepted, there are days when people start lining up before the store opens at 4 o'clock. ★ Recommended Harami → I recommend eating this with salt instead of sauce ★ Upper Tongue → Thick and satisfying. It's nice that the green onions are served separately ★ Bibimbap → The best rice dish is bibimbap. The minced meat is well seasoned and delicious. However, recently there is always at least one menu item missing from the order, even though we always have to wait outside for more than 10 minutes on cold days despite making a reservation, and there are often mistakes in the bill.

Yes, it's barbecue again! This time, I suddenly felt like eating meat on a holiday evening, so I searched for a nearby restaurant. I remembered there was a restaurant in the Ishii Group that I hadn't been to before. I decided to go to the restaurant near Chofu Station or Nishi-Chofu Station. After some consideration, I got off at Chofu Station and walked for about 10 minutes to "Chofu Shokuniku Center" (Wholesale). The location of the restaurant can be confirmed on Tabelog. I arrived before 5 pm, but all the table seats were already full! Since there were only two of us, we were fine with counter seats, but next time I should probably make a reservation by phone. The lively atmosphere with the energetic voices of the staff created a nice lively barbecue pub vibe. Now, let's eat! "Yamaimo Kimchi" for 550 yen. Before the meat arrived, I quickly ordered a beer. They had interesting quick menu items like yamaimo kimchi, tomato kimchi, and umeboshi kimchi. "Jou Tan Shio" for 1,485 yen. Sorry, sold out. Starting with Jou Tan Shio is a must for barbecue. The balance of texture and fat is great, and I finished it in no time. "Nodogashira (half)" for 385 yen. Depending on the meat, you can order a half size, which is nice. It had a chewy texture, and you could taste the flavor of the tongue. "Shiro Senmai Sashi" for 825 yen. In addition to grilling, we also ordered sashimi. We chose Senmai with a simple salt sauce to enjoy the basic taste. "Harami" for 1,100 yen. The harami with a rich flavor of the meat in a slightly salty marinade was delicious. It must be really good to eat it with rice. "Jou Mino" for 825 yen. After the tender harami, we enjoyed the crunchy texture of the upper mino. I feel like our barbecue and hormone orders have become a bit monotonous. Maybe it's good to add some variety to the orders occasionally when eating barbecue with different people. "Tsurami" for 1,045 yen. Tsurami is cheek meat, which has a firm texture and a moderate amount of fat. It has a deep flavor characteristic of red meat. "Tecchan" for 825 yen. Tecchan is large intestine. It has a moderate amount of fat and a chewy texture. Compared to maruchou (small intestine), it has less fat, so it was easy to eat even in the latter part of the meal. For the last dish, it's time for rice. The Ishii Group restaurants have a beef tongue curry, which I really like. But this time, I found a different curry on the kids' menu! It was written on the blackboard menu, "Eat a lot and grow big!" I hesitated whether it was okay to order as an adult, but my curiosity about the curry won, so I ordered the "Fluffy Hamburger Curry" for 660 yen. It's a kids' menu, so it's a bit small in portion, but it's just right for a finishing touch. A hamburger that literally melts in your mouth and a sweet curry with a hint of vegetable sweetness. Certainly, the spiciness of the beef tongue curry may be too stimulating for kids, but this sweet curry is not bad at all. I added some grilled meat and hormone as toppings and enjoyed it even more. The seasoning is delicious, and there are some tasty side dishes. The quality of the meat is average, not the main focus of the restaurant. Hormone dishes seem to be delicious. First of all, the name is fantastic. This yakiniku restaurant is operated by "Ishii", which also runs horumon and yakitori restaurants along the Keio Line. They offer delicious kalbi, flavorful tongue with a good texture, tender harami, juicy maruchou, incredibly soft boiled tongue - all at a great price! The meat is well marinated, and even the small portion of rice served in a manga-style plate is so good that you don't need any sauce to enjoy it!

Family barbecue dinner. We made a reservation for Friday night and it was almost full. It's quite popular. We had a combination of Kalbi, tongue, loin, and harami. Kimchi assortment and simmered dishes on the side. Finished with Ishii's specialty tail soup. It was top-notch. The quality of the meat is proportional to the price, so choosing the higher quality is a safe bet. The higher quality options are not that expensive. The standard options are also perfectly fine, just in case. It may have been a bit slow due to the crowded time, which is a shame. There were also multiple party tables. However, I hope they don't compromise on quality in this area. Counting on you, Gindako-san, lol.

I was able to make a reservation smoothly and get in easily. There were no photos of the main meat dishes... The meat comes already seasoned, so you can eat it without any sauce. We ordered tongue, kalbi, pork belly, hormone, and intestines, and they were all delicious. However, the restaurant was lively and it was hard to have a conversation without speaking loudly.

We wanted to have a family barbecue, so we decided to go to the popular restaurant in Chofu, Ishii, known for its amazing cost performance. We arrived a bit early around 5 pm, but there was already a line of 10 groups waiting (lol). By the time we got seated, it was close to 6 pm. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, and we enjoyed their famous boiled tongue, delicious meat at a great price, and a salad that was a huge portion even for a half order. They also served a bento box with so much rice that we couldn't finish it all! I always want to have cold noodles as a finish, but I was too full to even think about it (T_T). We had a great time and left with our stomachs full. Thank you for the meal!

It is recommended to go at 16:00 even on weekdays, as this restaurant requires reservations. They may switch to a 2-hour time limit once it gets crowded, but there is no time limit before that. The meat here comes already marinated, so you don't need to order extra sauce. The rice is served in a bento box, so you can enjoy it on the rice! The prices on the menu seem average, but the portion size is quite large, so it's affordable. There are plenty of different cuts of meat, including rare ones, to enjoy. On October 23rd, I accompanied my daughter to Fuchu to get her international driver's license before she goes to study in the United States. She wanted to eat yakiniku, so we decided to try out this restaurant that we had been curious about for a while. Chofu Shokuniku Center (Wholesale) has been on our radar, but it's a bit far from the station, so we haven't had the chance to visit until now. The international license process went smoothly, so we arrived at the restaurant at 4:00 PM when it opened. We were the first customers, and only two other groups came in during our stay. Perhaps because it was still early, it didn't seem too crowded. The menu offers a wide variety of meats, from cheap cuts to more expensive ones. There is also a good selection of horumon (offal). The meats we had that day were as follows: - Upper tongue salt 1350 yen - Upper kalbi 1350 yen - Recommended loin 1350 yen - Recommended harami 1350 yen - Kalbi 850 yen - Loin 850 yen - Maruchou 650 yen Considering the prices, the cost performance is quite good compared to other places where higher-priced meats are considered top quality. The cheaper kalbi and loin we tried were decent for their price. The ratings on Tabelog seem to be from those who prioritize cost performance. If you're expecting a 3.5 rating on Tabelog, you might be a bit disappointed. This restaurant is more for when you want to eat good horumon at a reasonable price rather than for enjoying delicious yakiniku. It's not that the food is bad, and they even have counter seats, so I might come back alone on my bike for some horumon. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during regular lunch hours. They didn't have a lunch set menu, only the regular menu was available. It was pretty empty, so I went for the recommended sirloin steak for 1,350 yen (!) with a side of small rice and half an egg soup for a luxurious lunch totaling 1,990 yen. But one plate of meat wasn't enough, so I added the mixed offal for 650 yen, unexpectedly making it a super luxurious lunch for 2,640 yen. The recommended sirloin steak was really delicious. The offal was prepared with care, typical of Ishii style. The restaurant's name and atmosphere give off a very down-to-earth vibe, but it seems like you can enjoy delicious food if you're willing to pay. However, when you pay, you'll probably realize, "Oh, it's Ishii," and come back to reality. Next time, I'll bring my family for dinner.

On December 13, 2020 (Sunday), I visited a yakiniku restaurant in Nishi Chofu. It is operated by the famous yakitori restaurant group "Ishii" in the Chofu area. Despite the eclectic interior, the bright and precise service was pleasant. Since I came by car this time, I ordered a ginger ale for my drink. For the meat, I ordered the "Butcher's Special Assortment" (1300 yen), tongue salt (730 yen), and rice (300 yen). The tongue salt that was served first was amazing in terms of volume. It's incredible to get this for 730 yen. The thickness of the tongue was unexpectedly substantial and the texture was great. I enjoyed it with an additional topping of green onions. The assortment was even more impressive. A large amount of kalbi and horumon appeared. The kalbi was tender and delicious. It was already marinated, so it was tasty even without dipping it again. The horumon had a pleasant texture and was even more delicious. It's surprising that they can provide such a variety for 1300 yen. The rice, priced at 300 yen, came in a box filled to the brim. It was just enough to share with my girlfriend. Feeling full, we ended our meal there. With around 3600 yen for two people, the cost performance was amazing. The volume of meat is amazing. The ventilation is not great, so the smoke can be a little irritating to the eyes, but the taste and portion size are excellent. If two people come, ordering about 3 types of meat will be satisfying. The cold noodles, rice, and boiled eggs are all delicious. They are soft and you don't even need to chew much. The rice comes in a container that seems like it can't be carried in an aluminum bento box, along with a pickled plum. It's interesting. Crispy plum?

In June 20XX, I visited a yakiniku restaurant located along the main road Shinagawa Street, which is halfway between Keio Line Nishi-Chofu Station and Chofu Station. I had noticed this restaurant from a review a while back, but it was not a place I frequented, so I hadn't been able to visit for a long time. I arrived at the restaurant around 4:00 PM on a weekend. The restaurant was quite busy, but I managed to find a seat at the counter in front of the kitchen. I ordered various items including recommended Harami, premium sirloin, marbled kalbi, knuckle, tripe, hormone balls, cold noodles, tail soup, and lettuce wraps. The harami and sirloin were particularly delicious. The knuckle had a good texture, and the lettuce wraps came in a surprisingly large portion. The tail soup was flavorful, and the cold noodles were well-seasoned. I finished my meal in about an hour, and although I couldn't try everything, it was a satisfying dining experience. It's recommended to avoid peak hours as there may be a long wait, but reservations are available on weekdays. Thank you for the meal.

My parents wanted to visit this restaurant again, and I must say the lunch deal is really great! As always, I had the grilled meat set meal. For less than 1,000 yen, the portion size and quality are hard to beat. It seems to be a limited time offer, but I really hope they continue with their lunch service!

Visited Chofu Shokuniku Center again on May 9, 2020. My father wanted to go there for lunch, so we decided to visit again. We arrived right when they opened at 11:30 am. There were a few people waiting for takeout and a couple of groups entered after us. Today, I ordered the Bibimbap set, Tan Shio (salted beef tongue), and Namul. The Bibimbap set arrived after a 4.5-minute wait. I chose the Bibimbap set for lunch, as I had never tried it before, and also added the Tan Shio and Namul. The Bibimbap had the usual ingredients with sesame oil and a bit of Gochujang, but it wasn't very spicy, so I wished it had more heat. The Tan Shio was thinly sliced, flavorful, and had a good chew, while I felt the Namul could have had a bit more volume. Apologies for not having a photo of the Tan Shio.
