A high-quality yakiniku restaurant that made harami popular in this world! When you hear "Toraji," you might imagine the chain store, but this is actually a lovely individual restaurant run by a wonderful couple. Since my first visit, I have become addicted to harami, sagari, and boiled tongue, making it one of my favorite places. The restaurant is located in Yutenji, just 3 stops from Shibuya on the Toyoko Line. It's a small underground restaurant with about 30 seats. The signal is weak, so please be patient. Must-try menu items at this restaurant include boiled tongue, beef tendon stew, premium tongue, Toraji yakiniku, sagari, liver, and chapchae. Especially the Toraji yakiniku (harami) and sagari are delicious. I recommend eating the sagari rare and the harami well-done! I like to eat them with wasabi. The premium tongue is thickly cut and well-cooked. The charcoal fire is low, so you can cook it slowly without making mistakes. The boiled tongue uses tongue shita for seasoning, which is excellent! For a finale, have the chapchae. Even if you eat a lot, it won't cost more than 10,000 yen, which is amazing! If you love harami, you should definitely visit this place.

Sanjuku Toraji "Yutenji" menu: Chorogi, Japchae, Toraji Yaki (salt), Toraji Yaki (sauce), Sagari (salt), Special Tan (thick cut). The famous Toraji Yaki (Harami) is well-known at this Toraji chain restaurant near Yutenji Station, just a 1.2-minute walk away. Unrelated to the Toraji chain, but easy access from Yutenji Station. We visited this place as the second stop on a yakiniku crawl. Chorogi was surprisingly generous in portion, perfect for sharing among four people, with a sweet Chorogi salad taste. Japchae also had a good portion size and great flavor. The famous Toraji Yaki and Sagari are thickly cut, providing a satisfying meal. The heat is not too strong, allowing the meat juices to flow abundantly when cooked slowly. Be sure to order the Toraji Yaki and Sagari. The thick-cut Tan is also a must-order for Tan lovers, as it is cut from the Tan base to the middle. Although prices have slightly increased compared to before, this is one of the limited places where you can enjoy delicious Harami, making it a sure bet when craving tasty Harami!

I finally visited this place since it's close by and I can go anytime. I didn't realize they had won an award, that's amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant is casual and not pretentious, which is nice. As for the meat, it was all delicious. Each one was light and not too heavy, and the sauce was refreshing and slightly spicy. I was also interested in trying their chijimi and squid sashimi. It's rare to find those at a yakiniku place. Located on the basement floor of a building near Yugawara Station, this restaurant is a gem that offers thick, juicy cuts of Harami, Sagari, and beef tongue at a reasonable price. Tonight, we ordered the following: - Harami salt - Sagari salt - Extra thick cut beef tongue - Extra thin cut beef tongue - Beef intestines (miso) - Honeycomb tripe and kimchi stir-fry - Lettuce salad - Assorted namul - Kimchi fried rice - Cold noodles Each serving comes with 6 slices. The thick cuts of Harami, Sagari, and beef tongue looked so juicy and delicious even before being grilled. Even the thin slices of beef tongue were as thick as those in other restaurants! Grilled slowly on a charcoal grill until crispy on the outside and medium rare on the inside, the beef tongue had an amazing texture and juiciness. The Harami and Sagari were also juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of fat adding to the deliciousness. It felt like we were eating steak and we were so happy! While the Harami, Sagari, and beef tongue are the highlights, the honeycomb tripe, kimchi stir-fry, and other offal dishes were also delicious. The prices are relatively affordable, which is a plus. Yakiniku boom continues, so I made a reservation before visiting. The restaurant was fully booked, and they were not accepting walk-ins on the day, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. Chorogi salad 950 yen, Beef tongue 1350 yen, Skirt steak 1840 yen, Toroji-yaki (I've never heard of outside skirt before) 1690 yen, Premium tongue 1990 yen, Liver 1350 yen, Rice 400 yen x2. All the cuts were thick and generous in portion. As a fan of skirt steak, this was the perfect restaurant for me!! It's more cost-effective to order a variety of dishes with a group of around 4 people rather than just 2, so you can try more dishes and get better value for money!!

I knew about Toraji, but it's actually a different Toraji in Mishuku. I had been wanting to go there for a long time, but it was hard to get a reservation. Finally, I was able to get one this time and went. The harami (skirt steak) is famous, so I ordered it, and it was incredibly delicious. The side dishes were also delicious. The most impressive dish was the premium tongue. It was incredibly delicious. The marinated kalbi we ordered had a slightly spicy Korean-style flavor, which was enjoyable. It was a bit disappointing that there were no sauces on the table. The ventilation system is not the best, so there is quite a bit of smoke and the smell sticks to your clothes. Customers with reservations were full, and those without reservations were turned away. The menu includes Tragic Yaki (salt), Sagari (salt), thinly sliced upper tongue, upper mino (salt), upper loin, boiled tongue, hachinose sashimi, namul, egg soup, yukkejang, and cold noodles. The Sagari salt and boiled tongue are served with wasabi. Even the thick cuts of meat are tender and flavorful. The hachinose sashimi is boiled and dipped in gochujang. The yukkejang is quite spicy as requested, hence the red color in the picture. The cold noodles are simple, without kimchi, allowing you to fully enjoy the deliciousness of the noodles and soup. In recent times, many restaurants have been overdoing it with extravagant plating or expensive dishware, so personally, I really appreciate this restaurant's approach. I ordered a variety of cuts including tongue, kalbi, harami, and hormone. I enjoyed the kalbi and harami with sauce. The freshness, marbling, and flavor of the sauce were all excellent, as can be seen in the photos. The sauce was lighter than it looked, not too rich, and didn't get tiring no matter how many pieces I ate. I now understand why this place is so popular. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation two weeks in advance because it was difficult to get a reservation. The restaurant is located right near Yutenji Station. I was seated at the counter and ordered a drink. They have a regular menu as well as daily specials listed on a blackboard. I ordered a variety of items, including their popular Harami and Sagari. You can choose between salt and sauce, but personally I found the sauce to be a bit bland. It didn't bring out the original flavor of the meat. Also, overall, the prices are on the higher side. It's fine if the meat is expensive, but I felt that things like rice and kimchi were a bit overpriced. The food overall was too bland for my taste. I don't think I will be returning.
