It's okay. I think I prefer the one in Ikebukuro~ The sauces were a bit mediocre overall, so I mainly stuck with salt. I don't like oily food, so I ordered the standard dish. If you register on LINE, you can get unlimited rice, cabbage, and miso soup refills. There were a lot of foreigners there.

On August 11th (Friday), I went to Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsu Ueno Harajuku Meiji Street branch for lunch. Luckily, there were seats available at the counter, so I chose the seat at the back. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very Harajuku-like, with many young female customers. By the time I left, there was a line of 20 people waiting outside, so I was lucky to get a seat. I registered for their LINE membership and became a member on the spot, which allowed me to get free refills of cabbage, miso soup, and rice. I ordered a summer special menu item called Summer Limited Gyusaroin Katsu and Eel Katsu Set for 2,189 yen. The staff kindly explained the dish to me and there were instructions on how to enjoy the Gyukatsu written in front of me, which I followed. The Gyusaroin Katsu was cooked medium rare at high temperature. I started by dipping it in wasabi and soy sauce as recommended by the restaurant, and it was delicious with its crispy coating and tender meat. I also tried it with Sansho pepper salt, Gyukatsu sauce, and Japanese curry dipping sauce. Then, I tried the Eel Katsu for the first time. I lightly grilled it and enjoyed it with the special grated yam sauce, which made it a perfect match with rice. I also had seconds of red miso soup and cabbage. Feeling like having more, I ordered an additional dish called Gyukatsu's Special Menchi Katsu for 429 yen. This juicy Menchi Katsu was also lightly grilled and tasted even more delicious.

I was very impressed by how delicious it was. I ordered a set of beef cutlet and eel cutlet, and they were incredibly tasty. Especially the eel cutlet was a new experience for me, and I was truly moved by the taste. There were several types of condiments and sauces included, so I could enjoy different flavors as well.

First experience of beef cutlet ♬♬ My family had been there before, so I was looking forward to it♪ The restaurant was full of foreigners, but everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. We waited for about 5 minutes, so we didn't have to wait too long. The taste was a bit lighter than I expected. It might have been better if there was a bit more explanation about the sauce for the foreigners.

I wanted to quickly grab a meal in the crowded Harajuku area and stumbled upon this restaurant. It was my first time trying beef cutlet and I was pleasantly surprised by how crispy and refreshing it was. I liked that I could adjust the cooking level on the hot plate to my liking. The menu and interior design had a Kyoto theme, but interestingly most of the staff were foreigners.

It's beef cutlet. Although it's called Tori Ton Gyuu and Katsu tour, it's actually a beef cutlet bowl. Thinly sliced beef cutlet coated in sweet and savory sauce, topped with three pieces of beef cutlet on rice. One bite, delicious! The beef cutlet is cooked perfectly, with a medium rare texture. As I continue eating, it starts to feel a bit heavy and filling. The wasabi on the side doesn't really change the taste much. Towards the end, it gets a bit difficult to finish eating, as one or two bites are incredibly delicious. Overall, it's hard to finish the whole bowl. I've had the beef cutlet set meal at this restaurant before, where you can enjoy the beef cutlet with wasabi soy sauce, salt, and sauce, and they provide a hot iron plate so you can cook it to your preferred doneness. This service is much appreciated. Despite thinking that I can't eat as much as I used to, I still find myself eating tonkatsu the next day. Thank you for the meal today!

A small restaurant with a fast turnover rate. Despite the wait, you can get in quickly. There are counter seats and table seats. The staff were very friendly. I thought it was delicious for 980 yen (excluding tax), but towards the end it was a bit difficult to eat, even though the portion size wasn't that big. Also, maybe because the hot plate wasn't heated up enough, it didn't feel like the food was cooked and ready to eat right away. It's good for people with time, but not so much for those in a hurry. I also liked that you can get free refills by adding the restaurant on LINE as a friend!

The family goes shopping in Harajuku and always stops by this restaurant for lunch. The beef cutlet is delicious, and you can also enjoy it with dashi soy sauce for added flavor. You can also get unlimited cabbage and rice, which is great for hungry kids. The food is cooked on a hotplate with solid fuel, so you can adjust the cooking to your liking. However, the main reason we come here is the male waiter who provides excellent and thoughtful service. I also work in the service industry, and he is truly skilled in customer service. We will definitely visit again!

When I went there before, the tonkatsu was served as is without being fried. It used to have a slightly tough texture, so I was worried that it might become even tougher when fried. But today, I was pleasantly surprised! It was really delicious. The meat was so tender that it could be easily cut even when bitten. The coating was crispy too, which was amazing. And all of this for just 980 yen, it's a great deal. I almost wanted to ask if they changed their supplier when I paid the bill because the quality was so good. Maybe they just happened to have good beef this time, or maybe I'll be lucky enough to encounter that delicious beef again next time... I definitely want to go back. The staff was also very friendly and provided excellent service. Even with a mask on, his nice smile could be felt. It was my first time in Harajuku in a while, so I decided to stop by, and I'm glad I did. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Last month, while looking for a lunch spot, I walked from Takeshita Street to Meiji Street and stopped at this restaurant, which was the third one I saw. It's located in Kyoto Katsuji, underground. We waited for about 5 minutes before entering. The menu includes options like beef cutlet, beef loin, beef rib roast, and beef simmered curry. We chose the beef cutlet set for 980 yen. If you register with LINE, you can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage, which is a great deal. Our meal was served in about 7-8 minutes. The staff explained how to eat the dish and even lit the fire for us to cook the beef cutlet to our liking. It was fun! There are various condiments like sauce, dashi soy sauce, sansho pepper salt, ground sesame, shichimi, and wasabi, but my recommendation is wasabi and dashi soy sauce, which is refreshing and goes well with rice. If the fire went out, they would light it up again for us. The female staff was very kind and provided excellent service, making our lunchtime very enjoyable. My middle school twin daughters were impressed by the taste and eating experience, saying "It was delicious!" Thank you for the meal.

The Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu Harajuku Meiji Street branch is located in the basement of the Harajuku TK Building, a short walk from the Meiji Street and Omotesando intersection towards Sendagaya. I happened to pass by on a Sunday afternoon and decided to try it out because it looked affordable. I remember visiting the Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu Ogawamachi branch about 5 years ago, but this was my first time at the Harajuku Meiji Street branch. Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is a chain specializing in gyukatsu that was established in 2014 and has expanded nationwide, being one of the largest gyukatsu chains. I remember gyukatsu becoming a trend in Tokyo around 2015, but the trend quickly faded. Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is one of the remaining shops from that trend. From the lunch menu, we ordered the One-Bite Demi-Glace Gyukatsu Set for 900 yen and the Large Gyukatsu Set with Kujo Green Onions for 900 yen. Rice, cabbage, and miso soup refills are free. This was my experience with gyukatsu...honestly, it was just okay.

I tried this place based on a friend's recommendation. The beef cutlet here is light and very easy to eat, without the heavy feeling that often comes with fried food. There are also many different sauces available, so I didn't get tired of it and finished it all in no time. It was really delicious!

Around Harajuku, there are so many shops that it can be difficult to choose. I searched for this shop and tried it out, and it was great! It was a satisfying place to eat after a long time. It's easy to enter even if you're alone, and the staff guided me to my seat comfortably. When I asked to change seats because the air conditioning was too cold, they kindly let me switch. The timing of taking orders was good. The explanation of how to eat the dishes was easy to understand. You can have seconds of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. It was nice that they asked how much extra you wanted. The meat had a few tough parts, but overall, it was delicious. It was fun to enjoy the change in taste with the sauce.

Harajuku. I found this underground shop and decided to check it out. The tea was cold and delicious. I came to Harajuku to shop for clothes, but the tea helped me relax after walking around. My friend ordered the beef rib loin cutlet set, so I ordered the beef loin cutlet set. The difference is quite clear. The loin cutlet is more meaty, while the rib loin cutlet is juicier and has more flavor. Personally, I prefer the rib loin cutlet. The beef cutlets come with 4 types of seasoning: sauce, wasabi soy sauce, curry sauce, and sansho salt. The wasabi is not very spicy, so it's recommended to put a lot on and dip it in the soy sauce. The sansho salt was also delicious. The curry sauce can be poured over rice to make it like curry rice. The taste of the curry sauce is similar to curry udon. I feel like I know of tastier beef cutlet places, but this place had interesting options like beef tongue cutlet and Japanese beef cutlet that I would like to try next time. The service from the staff was good, the cleanliness of the shop, and the atmosphere were nice. And most importantly, it was a shop with delicious tea! Thank you for the meal! (^O^)

I had the large beef loin cutlet. It was enjoyable to be able to change the flavor by grilling it and using wasabi soy sauce, curry sauce, sansho salt, and regular sauce.

When I want to eat beef cutlet or when I can't think of anything, I rely on this place. It's easy to find from Shibuya and they also have a LINE service which is convenient. I was happy to use it for the Goto campaign.

On a normal day with bad weather, Harajuku was still crowded today. Every store we passed had long lines. However, we found this underground restaurant that was empty and decided to eat there. We ordered the beef sirloin cutlet set meal. It was delicious until the very end. We will definitely visit again.
