I had the Rin course for lunch. Everything was delicious and I was full! The sushi was small in size and used two types of red vinegar. The cutting style and seasoning were also tailored to the ingredients, and everything was delicious. Since the ingredients change with the seasons, I will come back in a different season.

I visited the famous Matsue restaurant in Ebisu for sushi. Although I wanted to have lunch, I missed the lunch time so I ordered a la carte. The sushi was fresh and well-crafted. I had sea urchin, salmon roe, scallop, medium fatty tuna, and red snapper. I wanted to try more but I was already full. The miso soup was also delicious. I would like to come back for lunch next time. #Ebisu lunch #Ebisu #Ebisu gourmet #Ebisu sushi #Ebisu sushi restaurant #Ebisu sushi lunch #Matsue #Matsue Ebisu #Matsue Ebisu Higashiguchi branch #revenge

The main store is a popular spot with reservations hard to come by, but the East Exit store is convenient to use right in front of the station. I visited for lunch and found that there were plenty of seats available, and I was guided to a private room. The taste seemed to be better at the main store, but I thought the lunch had sufficient content. I would like to visit again.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and went with high expectations, but it was even better than I imagined. I had the chef's choice course, which included 9 seasonal appetizers. Fugu, hairy crab, oysters, ankimo, abalone, and more - not only were the flavors amazing, but the presentation was also Instagram-worthy. We happened to have a Kenzo Estate wine, which paired perfectly with the meal. The sushi course consisted of 10 pieces, each showcasing Edo-style preparation and high-quality toppings. The Bafun Uni, in particular, was exceptional for this season. I definitely want to come back every time the menu changes.

Atmosphere: Good, bright interior, 2 chefs making sushi in front of you, friendly and easy to talk to
Taste: Very good, delicious sushi
Price: ¥5,500 per person, 2 glasses of Oolong tea
Notes: It's recommended to make a reservation, the ingredients vary daily, the tuna from Kyoto on that day was excellent, the sea urchin from Maruichi Suisan (Nemuro) was also good

I went to celebrate. Night is good, but lunch is also nice. I used to beg my parents to take me to a sushi restaurant. Now I can treat them instead. I've grown up. This time, we only had Hakkaisan sake, at my mother's request. It was delicious. See you again, Matsuei-san.

First visit. The chawanmushi and shirako that came before the nigiri were delicious. Personally, the abalone with sweet sauce was amazing!! The nigiri, in every aspect, was flawless with perfect size and softness of the shari. After enjoying the recommended course, I added toro-taku maki and shrimp. Will definitely be coming back!

The cost performance is as great as the main store, with a slightly lower price. The luxurious ingredients and generous portions make it worth it. The balance of price, quality, and quantity is excellent, truly representing a top sushi restaurant in Ebisu. This branch has a modern feel compared to the main store.

I used a private room. It was for a meeting, and I appreciated the staff coming to take our drink orders at the right times. The fatty tuna and sea urchin were very delicious. The squid seasoned with salt was also very tasty.

A relatively easy-going atmosphere and a price range of around 10,000 yen even at night, making it quite accessible. The eel chawanmushi was new and delicious! Also, the steamed abalone and nodoguro were very tasty. It seems that my companion really likes this place, not because it's Instagrammable, but because they appreciate its traditional style.

This sushi restaurant is located in the basement of the Moroto Building right next to JR Ebisu Station East Exit. I wanted to treat a business executive from out of town, so I visited this delicious restaurant right next to Ebisu Station during lunchtime. Even with the omakase course, the cost performance at 7,600 yen is quite good. The appetizers like chawanmushi and ohitashi were very delicious, and the executive seemed satisfied watching the sushi being prepared at the counter. The toro and nodoguro were so delicious that I almost wanted to order more, but since everything was tasty, I made sure to enjoy the entire course until the end. I was able to enjoy a perfectly satisfying lunch. The toro had a melting sensation and deliciousness in the mouth, and I was also satisfied with the sea urchin that was hard to believe could be eaten at this price for lunch. The executive was very pleased, so we promised to have drinks together next time. I will definitely visit again.

When it comes to sushi restaurants in Ebisu, this place is a must-visit! I couldn't get a reservation at the main store, so I decided to try this branch for the third time. I had the lunch course "Rin" and it was delicious as always, with high-quality ingredients. The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was a bit light in flavor. I chose to sit at the counter, but today's head chef was too intense and it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I hope they can be a bit more moderate in their approach.

I was able to enter without a reservation. Only the "Kagayaki" course is available at night for 12,600 yen. In addition to the dishes shown in the photos, there was simmered abalone, as well as abalone, blowfish, crab, matsutake mushrooms, conger eel, shrimp, and blackthroat seaperch, a lineup that delights the ears. I was satisfied with the amount of food and found it reasonably priced. We were seated in a private room at the back, and they matched our pace, making it a comfortable experience.

I can't believe Matsuei Higashiguchi was located in such a place! The head chef who served me happened to be visiting from the main branch, and he was so friendly that we ended up chatting a lot. The abalone appetizer was so tender that it felt like a waste to eat it. The steamed dish had matsutake mushrooms and shrimp shinjo, and it was delicious. Sake goes well with this meal. I ate too much sushi, but it was so delicious. Thank you for the happy time. Taraba crab, yellowtail, green onion, squid, natural bonito, medium fatty tuna, red clam, sea urchin, shrimp, flatfish, blackthroat seaperch, conger eel.

The 4400 yen course is worth it every time. From the first small dish to the last miso soup, there is no compromise in taste. Each piece of sushi is delicious, needless to say. However, the flavor of the kelp-marinated dish is like climbing a staircase. The refreshing scent of the sea escapes from the nose. November 3rd. The finale is conger eel. The fluffy and soft texture is like a souffle dessert. This restaurant is a reward for your hard work.

During the rebound prevention period, you can drink until 9:00 with up to 4 people. That's enough, right? The individual private rooms at the sushi restaurant are almost the best. There is a sense of security. Matsuei is just right and good. When I calm down, I want to eat at the counter again.

Located just a short walk from Ebisu Station East Exit, Matsuei is a restaurant I decided to visit after having had a good experience at their main branch. Due to the pandemic, they were not serving alcohol. I had high expectations and ordered the 7,000 yen course, but honestly, it was disappointing. Firstly, they did not wipe the plates at all. The spilled soy sauce and various flavors mixed together on the plates, affecting the taste of the sushi towards the end. You can see the dirty plates in the photos, which were taken in the order the dishes were served. They also did not provide more ginger when I ran out. The lack of ginger is also evident in the photos. The rice and fish were both mediocre. I'm starting to wonder if my memory of the main branch being delicious was mistaken, because everything here was just not up to par. I may visit Matsuei's main branch again, but I will definitely not be returning to this branch. Thank you for the meal.

Private dining at this restaurant in the east exit is expensive, but the price, quality, and atmosphere are all top-notch. The fresh shirasu with karasumi and quail eggs underneath was a favorite. I enjoyed the abalone simmered dish and sashimi. The crab was deliciously drunk! Grilled anglerfish and hamaguri were also excellent. The sushi set was perfect, especially the fatty tuna. The tamago and soup at the end were outstanding. Just be careful at the counter, where companions may be getting a little too cozy. But overall, I'm all about enjoying the experience.

Located right in front of the station, this underground sushi restaurant is very convenient. Visited alone in 2020 for the Sushi course priced at ¥6,400. The nodoguro was beautiful and the most delicious dish was the abalone. The set included tofu with mozuku, simmered abalone, bonito and cuttlefish, chawanmushi, grilled fish, scallop, white shrimp, toro, kohada, nodoguro, tamago, ikura, sea urchin, anago, soup, but surprisingly no dessert was served. The chef had to shout loudly from the counter to communicate with the back private room, so it might not be suitable for those looking for a quiet dining experience. #Matsuei #Sushi #TokyoSushi #Ebisu #EbisuGourmet #EbisuLunch #EbisuSushi #EbisuSushi

Actually, my regular go-to restaurant is usually closed on Sundays, but this high-end sushi restaurant, which is not typically my go-to spot, was recommended by a female colleague. It was my first visit to this establishment, and the decor was quite luxurious. However, the atmosphere was different without the head chef present. I had only 3 pieces of sushi, two sashimi platters, wine, and champagne. The woman I was with ordered her favorite sushi, including scallops and abalone. She was pleased to see isobe maki on the menu, as it is not commonly offered at high-end restaurants. The second floor of the main branch of Matsuei is frequented by a certain celebrity and their family, creating a separate, exclusive space. The prices are quite high, so it's important to budget accordingly.
