Cream soda is served quite quickly. The cafe has a vintage feel with sofas and cushions that have seen better days. The smell of cigarettes lingers on the furniture. It's a miracle that you can smoke paper cigarettes at the bug-infested seats. You can get some snacks too. You can't use PayPay and there's no Wi-Fi, or it feels like there's no signal.

Nice to meet you, I'm Chappy Jinbo. I would like to request a favor. The café is located at 1-2-8 Ebisu Minami, Shibuya-ku. The phone number is 03-3710-8124. The nearest station is Ebisu Station. This time, I visited for breakfast. I chose a hot sandwich from the morning menu. The price is 890 yen, including a drink for 350 yen. You can choose between meat and cheese for the hot sandwich, and I chose meat this time. Additionally, it comes with salad and a banana for dessert. The interior of the café has an old-fashioned coffee shop charm, and I personally found it very cozy. That's about it. See you again.

I have been to a Western-style restaurant called Tonari no Chamoro before and I knew the location. Despite being called "next door," it was actually located on the basement floor down a narrow staircase. Beyond the door, it was a traditional coffee shop run by a kind mother and daughter duo. Their warmth and hospitality were so refreshing that by the time I left the restaurant, I felt like a better person. They always said "Have a safe trip!" to everyone, whether regulars or first-time visitors. I went there for a snack, looking for a warm coffee and a pudding from their menu, but ended up being captivated by their homemade sweets. The dessert, a white dumpling made with hot water, was so soft and bouncy in my mouth that I almost choked on the kinako powder. The seating arrangement was a bit unusual, with long sofa-like chairs and small square tables that allowed for a cozy and private dining experience. I enjoyed a cup of siphon-brewed coffee with a hint of bitterness, observing the quiet atmosphere and the numerous autographed photos on the walls. They had a limited edition matcha pudding, but surprisingly, the mother and daughter did not engage in any conversation during my visit. It was strange, considering they were a family running the place. The cafe had a warm and family-like atmosphere, where everyone, including the customers, felt like part of the family. Smoking was allowed, but there was no one smoking when I visited in the afternoon. I also noticed a few young women dining alone, adding to the nostalgic charm of the retro coffee shop trend.

Happy New Year. This year, I will continue to review my favorite cafes at my own pace. This review is from November of last year, about a cafe located in the same basement as a Western-style restaurant called Chamoro. It's close to Ginza Coffee, and by the way, this cafe is in Ebisu. Instead of Coffee Royalty, it's more like "Coffee Family" haha. The atmosphere here is very homey. The interior is mainly green and brown, with homemade cushions on the sofas. I saw a matcha pudding set on the menu on the wall, so I decided to try it. It said "limited to 3 servings," but I was able to order it even in the evening haha. The matcha pudding was served in a cup with red beans and whipped cream on top. The pudding was smooth, rich, and delicious. The red beans and cream complemented it well, and it was very tasty. The coffee was brewed using a siphon, and it was smooth and delicious. They even included a snack, making me feel like I was visiting someone's home. The shop card had a cute hand-drawn rabbit on it, which happens to be this year's zodiac sign. I'd love to visit again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Ebisu Station, there is a café called "Coffee Family." When you descend underground, you will find a retro-style café. They open from 7 am, serving breakfast. The staff who continue to operate the shop from early morning are truly admirable. They offer a great deal on a morning set, where you can add toast or a sandwich for an additional 100 yen with your drink. The coffee is brewed using a siphon, and the coffee served here for many years has a special taste due to its history. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a retro feel and soft sofas. It seems that many celebrities have also visited, as there are numerous autographs displayed. If you're in need of a place in the morning, this is the only option. Thank you for the meal.

The pastries that come with it, plenty of margarine and jam, and salad, along with crispy toasted bread. Furthermore, the owner is a very kind elderly lady, making the café feel like a place where you can go back to your childhood. The farewell at the end is also lovely.

Ebisu Coffee Senka Coffee Family Located underground, Coffee Family opens at 7:00 am. Going down the stairs to the basement, next to a narrow restaurant called Chamoro. Despite the small space, it has a strangely calming atmosphere. Recommended menu items are Set A: Open Sandwich (Egg) and Set B: Toast with Jam & Butter. You can add a drink for an extra 100 yen. Hot sandwiches are available for an additional 200 yen. There are other meal options as well. Two women run the place efficiently within the small counter area. The iced coffee costs 520 yen and is refreshing. The open sandwich has an egg and bacon on top of toast, with a banana and salad on the side. Dessert is also included. It's a nostalgic underground spot, with a smoking area, maintaining the same atmosphere from the Showa era to the Reiwa era. That's why I prefer being in Tokyo over Yokohama.

I ordered borscht and hot cocoa at the traditional coffee shop. The borscht came with a side salad with delicious dressing. The cocoa was served with a chocolate-flavored Umaibo snack. It was a relaxing space where I could spend some leisurely time. Thank you for the meal.

Blog "Tokyu Line Foodie" - https://asante.blog/ Enjoyed a Neapolitan spaghetti at Sekiya Spaghetti, then wandered from Naka-Meguro to Ebisu area with my mouth still tasting like ketchup. Along the way, I stopped by here because it caught my attention. Upon entering the shop, I was suddenly hit with the smell of cigarettes. I don't smoke, and with many places being smoke-free nowadays, I had let my guard down... There was indeed a sign outside saying "Smoking allowed." It seems like this is a cafe for smokers. Anyway, I decided to have a Mild Blend Coffee for 480 yen (tax included). This coffee is made using a siphon, and the result was a rich and distinct coffee. It had a unique flavor, not exactly mild but rather strong. The almond slice served with it was a nice touch that complemented the coffee well. However, the smoking environment was too much for me, so I didn't stay long and quickly paid. While it may be heaven for smokers, it was a challenge for me. Thank you for the meal.

On January 4th, after having lunch at SANKS NATURE with my childhood friend and senior, we were on our way to Torch Cafe when we were lured in by an advertisement for "Weekend Pancakes" at Coffee Kazoku. Located underground, we had never been inside this place before, despite passing by it many times. When we entered, all the table seats were full, so we were seated at the counter. In the corner table, there was a woman who seemed to be an astrologer...? It turned out there was a fortune-telling event happening that day. My senior, who had felt like getting a reading after watching a TV special the day before, immediately requested a reading, saying, "This must be fate!" While she was getting her reading, I ordered a Hot Cocoa (¥520 including tax). It was not too sweet, but incredibly rich and paired well with the whipped cream. I've had cocoa at many places, but this was my favorite without a doubt. As we waited for a table to open up, a staff member handed us a box with origami fortune slips inside. We drew one and won "sweets" - a pack of chocolates! They also gave us wafers as a drink accompaniment. The staff's service, the cozy sofas, everything was so comfortable that I felt like I could stay there all day, and I would want to come back every day. I wish I lived within walking distance of Coffee Kazoku...this amazing comfort was truly like being with "family"... It's a smoking-friendly place, so it might be tough for those sensitive to smoke, but for others, it could be a coffee shop that feels like heaven. We ended up not having the pancakes (I was blown away by the cocoa, and my senior was engrossed in the fortune-telling and forgot), but dishes like the beef stew and sandwiches on the menu looked delicious, so I definitely want to try them next time. I'll go there alone too! By the way, the fortune-telling was apparently very accurate. ◎

In Ebisu, even though it's considered a morning activity, the office is just a stone's throw away, so it's tempting to just head straight to work. However, there are days when you just don't feel like going there (laughs). A colleague recommended this place to me for the first time, and when you add 100 yen to your coffee, you get breakfast included. It's perfect for a morning pick-me-up. It's an old coffee shop that has been well maintained and is known to regulars. Despite being a first-time visitor, I received a friendly welcome... very much appreciated (TT). Coffee for 480 yen + Egg Open Sandwich for 100 yen = 580 yen. In addition to the Egg Open Sandwich, you also get a salad, a sandwich next to the open sandwich, and even a snack. The Egg Open Sandwich has a traditional taste that is just right for the morning. After finishing everything, I felt incredibly full! I didn't have lunch until after 4 pm that day, but thanks to this morning set, I was able to get by. How grateful... The kindness of the mother who runs the shop was evident throughout the place. When I entered, there was only one regular customer. Seeing them leisurely enjoying their break, I thought maybe everyone charges up here before heading to work. It's nice to work in a trendy, stylish cafe surrounded by young, successful entrepreneurs and women with parallel careers, but it's also nice to charge up in a classical coffee shop. I'll definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal ★

As planned, there were only three customers when I arrived, but unfortunately one of them was a smoker and the place smelled of smoke. It seems like they don't use the air purifier during this time. I ordered the Premium Blend for 550 yen and the A Set for 100 yen. The coffee was upgraded to a higher grade this time, using carefully selected beans. First, they served the A Set, which included a toast with egg mayo and sausage, along with a mini salad. The toast was freshly baked and delicious. The coffee was served in a Wedgwood cup and had a rich flavor. Since it was siphon brewed, it was piping hot! I could taste not only the bitterness and sweetness but also some acidity. It was definitely a premium blend. Overall, the complimentary mini donuts were a nice touch.

On a Saturday afternoon, when you go down the stairs and open the left door, you enter a smoker's den. 8 out of 10 people are smoking, with 2 high school students being the exception. There are two air purifiers buzzing, but they don't seem to be very effective. I ordered the Mild Blend for 480 yen along with the A Set for an additional 100 yen. The coffee is brewed using a siphon and served in a Noritake cup. It's a medium roast blend, but the siphon's high extraction temperature brings out a strong bitterness and some acidity. The A Set includes egg toast and a mini salad for just 100 yen more. The toast is generously filled with egg paste and even comes with a quarter-cut egg mayo sandwich. The toast is perfectly crispy and delicious. The high-fat egg toast pairs well with the flavorful coffee. The mini salad is fresh and crunchy, with boiled eggs and a dressing made with finely grated onions and carrots, giving it a homemade touch. It was delicious. To top it off, it even comes with a Country Ma'am cookie, making it a great value for the price. Overall, I would like to visit again during a time when there are fewer smokers, perhaps in the early morning on a weekday.

On the weekend, I went to Ebisu for a drink. I had some time to spare before my next appointment, so I decided to take a break at "Coffee Family" cafe. The cafe has a nostalgic atmosphere of a traditional coffee shop, which I really liked. I ordered an iced tea and relaxed for a while.

[Morning bread series] In the morning, morning bread (definitely) ♪ (I like the sound of this! I borrowed this phrase from my follower) Please look at the morning menu here. A: Coffee 480 yen + Open sandwich with egg 100 yen = 580 yen. The food was served in less than 3 minutes, which is quite quick. The open sandwich consists of cut sausages and cooked eggs, offering more taste, volume, and satisfaction than expected. The salad, which can be added for an extra 100 yen, is of high quality and makes you want to add it. Moreover, there is an additional sandwich as a service next to the open sandwich. I love these little extras! The quality of the coffee is honestly hard for me to judge, but I can tell it's different from the coffee chain stores. Lastly, the "Country Ma'am" cookie that was given with the receipt made me happy. These little extras make me happy. The restaurant is run by a single mother, but I didn't feel any inconvenience. The fact that I didn't have to deal with smoke from other customers was also a positive point. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back.

Business Trip Morning Starting from Ebisu, my second visit to this place started with a quick stop for morning coffee. Walking down the stairs, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly lady. I ordered a ham and cheese hot sandwich set with a hot coffee blend. The coffee, brewed using a siphon, was delicious. The hot sandwich, made with two slices of toast, had a nice kick from the mustard, which added a good accent. I liked the salad dressing as well. The bonus sweet treat was a nice touch. They have been in business since 1975, the same year I was born. I will definitely come back again! Thank you for the meal!
