It is located right near Denenchofu Station. It is on the 3rd floor after climbing the steep stairs of the Hiiragi Building. The building used to have McDonald's on the 1st and 2nd floors, but now the 1st floor is a acupuncture and chiropractic clinic, and the 2nd floor is an esthetic salon. This was my first time being taken here. If you don't know about it, it might be hard to find. The building has a lot of history. The entrance is a kitchen and the inside has counter seats and a tatami room in the back. The restaurant is spacious and when I visited at 12:30, it was bustling with families and people working nearby. The lunch menu focuses on fried foods and the daily lunch set is popular. I ordered the Seafood Fry for 1000 yen. It took a bit of time to be served since it was busy, but the freshly fried shrimp, horse mackerel, and large oyster were delicious. The shredded cabbage was fresh, and tomato and cucumber were served as well. The side dishes included pickles and simmered bonito flakes. The miso soup was turnip miso soup. The tray showed its age.

The restaurant I was aiming for was closed, but I stumbled upon this place and was drawn in. The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor, and you have to climb up the stairs to get there. The interior had a counter in the front and tables in the back, and it was surprisingly spacious. It was around noon when I visited, and the place was quite busy. Looking at the menu, there were many options priced around 1000 yen, making it a casual spot for lunch in the area. I ordered the Daily Lunch Set B for 1350 yen (tax included). It included sashimi and a fried dish, with the sashimi being cold yellowtail and the fried dish being ginger pork. I enjoyed the combination of fish and meat. While sipping on tea and waiting, a generous set meal was brought to me. Along with the sashimi and ginger pork, it came with chilled tofu, small side dishes, pickles, rice, and miso soup. I took a sip of the miso soup and a bite of the rice. The miso soup had a strong bonito flavor. The fatty yellowtail sashimi was delicious, and I thought it would be enjoyable even in the evening. The ginger pork was made with a lean cut and had a strong ginger flavor. There are different types of ginger pork, but this one was tasty. As shown in the photo, the portion was generous. There were plenty of side dishes with the rice, making it a satisfying Japanese lunch. I can see why this place is popular. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a set meal restaurant in Denenchofu, Tokyo for the first time. It's located a 5-minute walk from Denenchofu Station, on the third floor. The restaurant has a counter and tatami seating. The counter is popular among office workers and OLs. The menu mainly consists of fried set meals, ranging from 1000 to 1500 yen. I ordered the daily special set meal, which was the "Menchi Katsu Set Meal". The set included Menchi Katsu with salad, Amberjack sashimi, cold tofu, two types of pickles, white rice, and miso soup, all for 1250 yen including tax. The Menchi Katsu was crispy and juicy, very delicious. The Amberjack sashimi was fresh and generously portioned. The miso soup was a bit on the rich side. The cold tofu had a refreshing ginger flavor, perfect for cleansing the palate. The meal ended with pickles. It's a great place to dine alone or with colleagues. Just be prepared for the steep stairs to the third floor. The staff were efficient and made the dining experience enjoyable. I will definitely visit again.

Daily Special B Set Meal: Shrimp Fry and Amberjack Sashimi. I really like that it comes with both fried food and sashimi. The shrimp fry is large and crispy. The amberjack sashimi comes in 3 slices and is fatty. It costs ¥1,290. The shrimp fry part changes depending on the day. The Daily Special A Set Meal with pork cutlet is very filling and costs ¥970 including tax. They also offer soba noodles, hamburg steak, ginger pork, and other menu options. This restaurant is convenient for lunch as it is located nearby. On this day, the counter was lively with what seemed to be regular customers chatting. It is on the 3rd floor of a building right by Denenchofu Station. There are 10 counter seats, 4 sunken kotatsu tables for 4 people each, and 2 tables for 6 people.

Located a 5-minute walk from Denenchofu Station, but you have to climb stairs up to the 3rd floor. Inside, there are around 10 counter seats and about 8 sunken kotatsu-style tables for 4 people each. The tables seemed like they could be pushed together in pairs. The set meal with sashimi of yellowtail costs 1,080 yen. The main target seems to be local elderly people, so the portion size isn't huge, but the sashimi was delicious. Considering the location in front of Denenchofu Station, the cost performance seems to be on the better side.

I had a hard time finding a place to eat lunch near Denenchofu Station on Saturday. I walked up to the third floor and found a restaurant to have lunch. I ordered the tonkatsu set. The rice was cooked perfectly and the tonkatsu was made with care. The restaurant seemed to mainly serve izakaya dishes, so the interior was pretty average. The only thing that bothered me was that the floor and counter felt sticky, probably because of the oil. It's understandable, but it might be a concern for some women. The food had a home-cooked feel to it, so I would like to visit again for dinner next time.

Delicious traditional Japanese set meal restaurant. I usually go to Hidaka-ya, but I was getting a little tired of it and looking for somewhere else. I found this place. The restaurant on the second floor can be a bit intimidating because you can't see inside right away, but it was worth it. The flavors were very delicate. The egg and pork cutlet in a sweet and savory sauce was very comforting. The side dish of pickles was also delicious. I wish it was closer so I could go back again. It was really delicious. I think the lunch set is a great deal.

It's rare to visit Denenchofu for work, especially during Golden Week. The air here is so clear, you wouldn't think it's still in Tokyo. However, there aren't many places to eat here, so Daylight Kitchen is crowded. But for a change, I decided to try a restaurant on the third floor. The daily special here is affordable and satisfying. I ordered the Katsuni lunch set, and it was delicious and filling. The restaurant has a nostalgic atmosphere with traditional decor. It's a hidden gem, especially during Golden Week. I enjoyed my meal there.
