I had a delicious dinner at a casual bistro in a corner of Romance Street in Ikebukuro♪ The food and service were excellent, and I am definitely going to come back! It's a great place to drop by casually or use for a date. The location is in Ikebukuro's drinking district, so you can easily go to a second place after. There is a sign on Romance Street, and when you go down the stairs to the basement, you enter the restaurant. The staff greeted me with a smile, even though they were wearing masks. They offer a variety of non-alcoholic drinks for cheers, and there were also alcoholic drinks that I want to try once they are available! All the food I had was delicious, with a great sense of creative cuisine and stylish presentation. - The salad with homemade dressing was very tasty with the flavor of sesame seeds. I love fried onions, so I finished it quickly. - The assortment of delicatessen included smoked quail eggs, prosciutto with tomato and cheese, caponata, pickles, and deep-fried vegetables, all beautifully presented with a lovely taste variety. This one plate makes me want to drink wine! - The butter garlic oysters were delicious with the perfect combination of plump oysters and garlic flavor. The soup was so tasty that I wanted to dip bread in it. Squeezing lemon halfway through made it refreshing. Balsamic vinegar was a nice accent. - The herb-cooked chicken was tender and well-cooked, with the soup's umami permeating. The sweet carrots were also delicious. The herb aroma increased my appetite! - The roast of Joushu Seseragi pork was a masterpiece with a rich pork flavor. The tender texture and fatty meat were so delicious. The fried potatoes underneath added a hearty touch to the meat bar-like menu, which was great! - I chose the pasta, which was a unique menu called Nori Pepe. It had plenty of seaweed on top of the spicy garlic pasta, giving it a refreshing taste. - For dessert, I ordered homemade tiramisu! It had a fluffy texture and I finished it in no time. There were other delicious dessert options like waffles as well. They also offer takeout, so I thought it would be nice to enjoy their food at home during leisure time! Above all, the staff's customer service was very nice, and I appreciated their attention to detail. Personally, having a clean restroom was also a big plus for us girls! I would love to go back again!

Good evening! Today I went to Ikebukuro to have some fun! In the evening, we went to an Italian restaurant near the west exit. The restaurant is located underground and is easily accessible from the station. The interior is stylish yet unpretentious, making it a great place for a date or a casual hangout for adults. The menu offers a wide variety of creative dishes beyond traditional Italian cuisine, suitable for people of all ages and tastes. I was happy to find "Heartland" beer, a classic Japanese beer that is not commonly served on tap. The aroma hops added a delicious touch to the beer. We also ordered ginger ale and cola for those who couldn't drink alcohol. The "Mentaiko Butter Renkon" dish was delicious, with the flavor of mentaiko complementing the crispy texture of lotus root. The "Joushu Seseragi Pork Roast" was beautifully presented on a cutting board, with tender pork and a perfect balance of flavors. The "Caprese" salad was a luxurious combination of tomatoes, cheese, and ham, enhanced by the Genovese sauce. The "Genovese with Hokuhoku Potatoes" pasta dish had a delightful aroma and a rich flavor that paired well with the bacon. The pasta had a perfect texture and was cooked just right. I would love to come back with friends and try more dishes to share. The "Scallop with Lemon Butter" dish had a nice lemon flavor that complemented the scallops and vegetables. The large scallops were a highlight. The "Kiribinbin Shiva Chardonnay" wine had a pineapple aroma and paired perfectly with seafood. Overall, each dish was delicious and enjoyable. I visit Ikebukuro often, so I look forward to returning with friends and family. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

"A certain bistro bar in Ikebukuro, Bisrock, is located on a corner of Romance Street, a 3-4 minute walk from Ikebukuro Station West Exit. I visited the restaurant alone at 7:00 pm with a reservation. The interior of the restaurant incorporates a brick-style design, creating a stylish and romantic atmosphere suitable for dates. 80% of the customers were two pairs of men and women. The menu offers a wide selection of French and Italian home-cooked dishes, and they also offer all-you-can-drink courses for under 5,000 yen. From the menu, I ordered the following dishes: - Mentaiko Butter Lotus Root (680 yen including tax) - Anchovy Potato (580 yen including tax) - Pasta with Truffle Sauce (1,680 yen including tax) This restaurant does not serve appetizers, so I ordered the Mentaiko Butter Lotus Root and Anchovy Potato, which are perfect for drinking. The Mentaiko Butter Lotus Root had a great combination of crispy texture and rich and savory mentaiko butter, making it a must-order dish when drinking alcohol. The Anchovy Potato had a crispy potato texture with a hint of bitterness from the anchovies, which was delicious. From the fresh pasta menu, I chose the recommended Pasta with Truffle Sauce by the staff. The pasta had a chewy texture and a strong truffle aroma. The seasoned eggplant and ground meat used as ingredients were tasty. The staff's service was polite and I would like to visit again."

On this day, I went shopping in Ikebukuro and visited a few liquor stores. I met up with friends, had a light meal, and checked out the recently talked-about Seibu department store. It was open for business and quite crowded. Since I usually drink a lot of sake, I suggested trying something different for a change. We wandered around the Tobu side of the area, and I suggested a bistro in the basement that I used to visit when I worked in Ikebukuro. We started with a toast with Heartland draft beer, which was refreshing on a hot and humid day. The food options were varied, and we ended up ordering a salad with bagna cauda sauce, fried chicken, tonkatsu, meatballs, and pork rillettes. The dishes were flavorful and satisfying, especially the tonkatsu and pork rillettes. We also tried some unique pasta that had a chewy texture and delicious sauce. To end the meal, we shared a tiramisu, which was a perfect finish to the Italian-inspired dinner. The bistro started to get busy around 7 pm, but it seems like it stays open until midnight. If you plan to visit, it's best to go early when it's less crowded.

About a 2.3-minute walk from the west exit of Ikebukuro Station. This restaurant is open every day until around midnight with no days off, making it convenient to visit anytime. The restaurant is located underground, giving it a hidden gem feel, and the interior has a stylish bistro vibe with brick walls, wooden tables, and a warm atmosphere. The specialty of the restaurant is their original fresh pasta, meat dishes, and wine. The original fresh pasta has a unique chewy texture that cannot be found in dried pasta. I recommend trying the fresh pasta when you visit. Whether it's a gathering with friends, a date, or just stopping by alone for pasta, it's a great spot. They occasionally announce their days off on Instagram, so it's worth checking out their account. (On the day of my visit, they had a tiramisu promotion for mentioning their post!) Here's what I had on this day: - Fresh Vegetable and Shrimp Miso Dip: A variety of fresh vegetables dipped in a shrimp miso sauce. The rich flavor of the shrimp miso sauce complements the fresh vegetables perfectly. - Assorted Ham Plate: A satisfying amount of ham that goes well with alcohol, vegetables, and omelets. - Truffle Omelette: A classic combination of truffle and eggs served on a stylish blue plate. - Moment-Seared Inner Thigh Meat Taliata: A Taliata dish with a unique dashi soy sauce jelly and wasabi on the side, allowing for flavor variations. - Pasta with Truffle Sauce: A recommended dish from the fresh pasta menu with truffle sauce, ground meat, and eggplant in an oil base. The chewy pasta enhances the flavors of truffle and meat. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Visited with colleagues on a regular night. A bistro located about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro West Exit. The restaurant is located on the basement floor. As you descend the stairs, you arrive at a cozy hidden gem-like place that feels like it's straight out of a movie. Cheers with a lemon sour. We ordered dishes a la carte. - House-made dressing salad Starting with a vegetable boost! The generous-sized bowl is cute. - Ham salad platter Since salad alone is a bit lonely, we also ordered ham. Quite a generous portion, which was nice. - Chicken tomato stew A gentle flavor that brings out the taste of the ingredients. - Premium roast of Joushu Seseragi pork A must-try dish with a visually appealing presentation and delicious sauce. - Chicken garlic cheese stew The punch of garlic and mild cheese complement each other well and taste delicious. - Fisherman-style Genovese pasta The pasta is chewy and irresistible with a luxurious flavor from clams and mussels. Another must-try dish. - Scallop lemon butter A sauté with a strong lemon flavor that is refreshing. - AB229 Pasta Referring to "Shrimp Garlic Pasta," apparently. A punchy Japanese-style pasta with a strong garlic flavor. - Tiramisu Authentic tiramisu with a cute presentation. The food was delicious, so we ended up eating a lot. The cozy hidden gem-like space is comfortable and suitable for dates or girls' nights out. Thank you for the meal.

Ikebukuro, 2 minutes walk away, recommended for chewy fresh pasta! Go through the space between the Matsumoto Kiyoshi store on the right side. After a short walk, you will see a green retro tent as a landmark! Going downstairs, you will find a shop with an exciting atmosphere. Fully booked on Sundays at 8 pm. The customers seemed to be mostly men. The staff are all young and cute. They are so cute that it seems like they were hired based on their looks! The staff are all friendly and efficient in their work. The food is served quickly, and just watching the cute staff working is satisfying. Two girls arrived and ordered beer right away! The menu featured fresh pasta noodles, so we decided to start with some carbs! We were quite hungry. This restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh pasta dishes, and after much deliberation, we ended up ordering two dishes. Mentaiko Butter Renkon for 680 yen - the crunchy texture of the thick lotus root and the flavorful mentaiko were amazing! The mentaiko was slightly grilled, giving it a delicious smoky flavor. This combination was new to us, but we loved it! Raw Ham Assortment for 880 yen - tender and easy-to-eat raw ham made from thigh meat? The saltiness is mild, and the pickled vegetables on the side are not too sour. Grilled Pork with Upstream Murasaki Potatoes for 1280 yen - smoky, tender meat that is roasted, making it healthy! The fatty part is juicy, and the spiced seasoning is just right, making it very easy to eat! Fisherman-style Tomato Sauce for 1480 yen - a generous amount of seafood with chewy fresh pasta! Mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, and other favorite shellfish all gathered together! The refreshing tomato-based flavor is great, and it's satisfying even in large portions! Squid and Miso Mentaiko Pasta for 1130 yen - large pieces of tender and fluffy squid with shiso! Whoever thought of combining shiso and squid is a genius, and those who try to do it with fresh pasta are even more wonderful! The flavor is not too strong, but it goes well with alcohol! Scallops with Lemon Butter for 880 yen - scallops with a strong lemon flavor, mixed with squeezed lemon and vegetables! The soup is rich in flavor, and it could turn into risotto if you add rice and mix in cheese at the end! Raw Vegetable Shrimp Miso Dip for 830 yen - Shrimp miso? I wondered what it was, but it turned out unexpectedly delicious! I felt like I wanted to make this at home, but it might be hard to replicate. Dip with young corn, cucumber, paprika, and tomato! Especially the crunchy paprika was addictive! It became a palate cleanser and we kept eating it! It was also healthy and refreshing. The bistro-like atmosphere was perfect for a birthday celebration, with a cake with fireworks on the table, playing "Happy Birthday" for a happy birthday girl. The atmosphere was lively, and the girls looked happy to be celebrated. Happy birthday! The portion was just right for two girls, but the other girl felt full and thought one pasta dish would have been enough. I still had room for more! I forgot to have dessert, so I couldn't upload it, but I will definitely visit again.

Today's main event was the casual Italian bar, Bisurock. However, just like last time, I got a little tipsy before the main course (*´﹃`*). I could only eat a little bit of the delicious Italian food, which was a bit disappointing. Next time, I'll start with the main course and get my revengeヽ(`Д´)ノ. #IkebukuroGourmet #ItalianBar #Wine #Prosciutto

I went to Ikebukuro with a friend to have wine~♪ We arrived around 7 pm and the restaurant was almost full! Luckily, we had made a reservation so we were able to get in smoothly. We started with a refreshing glass of organic Sangria (red) to cheers. It's light and even those who don't like sweet drinks can enjoy it! It's also good with soda in this season. Here's what we ordered: - Salad with homemade dressing / 860 yen - Scallops with lemon butter / 880 yen - Assorted smoked items / 780 yen - Premium roast of Joshu Seseragi pork / 1,280 yen - Karasumi pasta - Homemade Tiramisu / 500 yen I highly recommend the Scallops with lemon butter. Despite using plenty of butter, it's not too heavy thanks to the lemon acidity, allowing you to fully taste the sweetness of the scallops. The smoked platter, with quail eggs, bacon, and Camembert cheese, has the perfect combination. It goes really well with wine♪ This restaurant has a wide variety of wines with detailed descriptions of their characteristics, making it easy to choose according to the dish. If you find a favorite wine, consider getting a bottle. The Joshu Seseragi pork goes well with their homemade mustard, enhancing the quality of the pork with the tangy mustard. The pasta with Karasumi was my most anticipated dish and it did not disappoint! The chewy noodles with a strong garlic flavor were very satisfying. Even though we were full, we couldn't resist this sinful pasta. There are so many enticing dishes on the menu that I want to try them all... We ended the meal with hot green tea and Tiramisu, leaving fully satisfied and heading home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and it seems suitable for various occasions. The staff were also very kind. Each dish is reasonably priced, making it easy to visit, so be sure to choose this place when you go to Ikebukuro.

I visited the Bistro Izakaya Bisrock in Ikebukuro, about a 2-minute walk from the west exit. It had been a while since I worked in Ikebukuro, so I decided to have dinner there. Ikebukuro was so crowded, it felt like a festival! I met with an old friend to discuss work and also because I wanted to try Italian cuisine this time. The friend made a reservation for us at Bisrock, a cozy Italian bistro. The interior was decorated with a rustic charm, giving off a homely vibe. The staff were friendly and recommended some dishes for us. We ordered: Heartland beer, Clam White Wine Pasta, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, Beef Tataki, Fresh Vegetable Sticks with Shrimp Miso Dip, Seared Scallop with Lemon Butter, Assorted Ham Plate, Anchovy Potato, and Caprese Salad. The dishes were all delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and quick to replace anything we dropped. I really appreciated their hospitality. I will definitely visit this place again!

I found a bistro in the Ikebukuro area that is easy to enjoy. It is located about a 2-minute walk from the station, surrounded by many izakayas. The illustrations of fresh pasta, meat, and wine are cute. The restaurant is located underground, giving it a secret base feel. The interior has a calm lighting with mainly table seating. It seems like you can also reserve the place for private parties if you have a group. It's not too noisy, making it suitable for relaxed conversations. Although you can probably walk in without a reservation, it's safer to make one in advance. I asked the staff for recommendations and ordered the following items: - Premium roast of Joshu Seseragi pork - Assorted cheese plate - Mentaiko butter lotus root - Shrimp and mushroom ajillo - Dried fruits - Karasumi pasta - Homemade tiramisu I enjoyed pasta and meat dishes, as well as items that go well with alcohol! Everything I tried was delicious! The Seseragi pork was tender and juicy. The homemade green mustard paired perfectly with it. The pasta was chewy, and the abundance of karasumi and bacon was a great combination. They also had options like peperoncino and mentaiko pasta, so it seems like a great place to go with a group and enjoy different flavors. They have a variety of limited-time menu items, so you can have a different experience each time you visit. They also offer desserts like homemade tiramisu, making it perfect for a girls' night out. Thank you for the meal!

After work, I went to dinner in Ikebukuro with a friend✨ We decided to try a restaurant that I had been curious about! We arrived at the opening time of 5:00 pm! Since it was a weekday, there were still no customers! (A few groups started coming in around 6:00 pm) I was determined to drink wine today, but I was drawn to the draft beer from Heartland so we started with a toast with Heartland beer!! I was happy to see fresh draft beer as Heartland's shops are not so common✨✨✨ Then we ordered a few items from the menu that caught our attention! ★ Kabu and cucumber with plum dressing 480 I wanted to get some vegetables, so I chose this combination of turnips, cucumbers, and plum dressing which was refreshing and a good starter! ★ Oysters with butter and garlic 980 Ordering this was the right choice!!✨ The garlic might have an effect the next day, but this dish was incredibly delicious and I wanted to learn the recipe!! Each oyster was firm and the butter and garlic made it perfect for accompanying drinks! Squeezing some lemon made it even more refreshing! ★ Truffle omelette 1080 It doesn't look like a typical omelette but has a subtle truffle aroma. This is also a good option as a snack! ★ Momentarily seared thigh meat talia-ta 1180 Served with wasabi, rock salt, and sweet soy sauce! Despite the name talia-ta, it felt more like roast beef! It was tender and easy to eat. Goes well with wine!! ★ Homemade tiramisu 500 Tiramisu usually melts in your mouth instantly, but this homemade tiramisu had a firm bottom layer that gives you a satisfying eating experience! This might be a preference thing, but it was my type of tiramisu◎ Highly recommend this dish too! Despite being a bar, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, and the wine servings were generous, making it a cost-effective restaurant! It was very delicious, thank you for the meal◎

A bistro in Ikebukuro known for its fresh pasta and meat dishes. It opens at 3 pm on weekends and holidays, making it convenient for daytime drinking or early dinners. You can also order just drinks or pasta, making it a versatile and user-friendly option for various occasions. The recommended dish is their popular fresh pasta, made with special attention to detail using pasta from a noodle factory in Toyama prefecture. The texture is chewy with just the right amount of elasticity, making it delicious with the sauce. They also offer wine-based cocktails and organic sangria, along with a variety of reasonably priced bottled wines. The location is just a 2-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station West Exit, making it easily accessible. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with 23 seats, creating a comfortable and casual dining experience. The menu includes a la carte options as well as 3 course options with all-you-can-drink starting from 4,480 to 5,480 yen. Today, I ordered a la carte dishes that I wanted to try.

Located at Ikebukuro Nishiguchi, "Bisrock" is an Italian bistro and wine bar that serves Italian-based dishes, including fresh pasta, meat dishes, and a variety of wines. It is a small restaurant on the charming Romance Street, just a 2-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station West Exit. I visited with a friend after going to the aquarium at Sunshine City. The menu features a mix of Italian, French, and Japanese home-style dishes, such as seared beef taliata and other meat dishes, as well as classic spaghetti made with fresh pasta. The pasta, in particular, is made with chewy fresh pasta that was perfected through collaboration with a noodle factory in Toyama Prefecture. We tried a variety of dishes, from salads to meat dishes and pasta. We started with a toast, lemon soda for me and highball for my friend. The homemade dressing salad was served in a large bowl with fresh mixed greens, fried onions, and a delicious dressing made from over 10 ingredients. The "Miso Ratatouille" appetizer featured zucchini, onions, and bell peppers cooked in a tomato and miso stew, adding a rich and flavorful touch. For the main course, we enjoyed the "Kochi-style Bento Box Fried Chicken" with a sweet aurora sauce, and the "Oyster Butter Garlic" with plump oysters in a rich garlic butter sauce. The "Spicy Arrabbiata" pasta had mascarpone and prosciutto, while the "Fisherman-style Genovese Pasta" featured scallops, clams, and mussels in a seafood broth. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The restaurant was bustling with shoppers, students, professionals, and couples on dates, all drawn to the cute and delicious offerings of this popular spot.

I visited a bistro and bar called Bisrock in Ikebukuro. It is located just a 2-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. The restaurant has a green sign and is tucked away in the drinking district, creating a cozy atmosphere. When I arrived at 5 pm, it was not crowded, but it started to fill up as the evening went on. For starters, I ordered an olive assortment, miso ratatouille, and turnip and cucumber with plum dressing. The dishes were all tasty and perfect for snacking while enjoying drinks. The miso ratatouille had a Japanese twist with eggplant, bell pepper, shimeji mushrooms, and onions. The turnip and cucumber with plum dressing was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. I also tried the fisherman-style tomato sauce pasta, which was filled with seafood like mussels, clams, scallops, and shrimp. The acidity of the tomato sauce paired well with the seafood. Lastly, I ordered the seared thigh meat taliata of beef, which was tender and flavorful. It was served with soy sauce, grated wasabi, and rock salt on the side. Overall, the restaurant's concept of original pasta, meat dishes, and wine was well-executed, and I enjoyed my dining experience at Bisrock in Ikebukuro.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very stylish. I ordered roast pork, fresh pasta, prosciutto, cheese platter, and homemade tiramisu. The roast pork was particularly tender and juicy, and tasted delicious when combined with the sauce. Although the other dishes were also tasty, the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. I thought it was a good place for a girls' night out.

On weekdays, I have limited time after work, so sometimes I come to Tokyo on weekends to go shopping. Ikebukuro used to be my previous workplace, but I always ended up getting lost in the area, haha. It's divided into east and west, but it's hard to remember. However, Ikebukuro has many delicious restaurants, so I always end up visiting the area. I was told about a delicious Italian restaurant and decided to visit. I checked the map beforehand, so I was able to find it relatively easily. The restaurant is located on Romance Street. By 6 pm on a holiday, it was already almost full of reserved customers. Since the restaurant is not very large, I recommend making a reservation in advance if you want to make sure you get in. I couldn't decide between a highball or beer, so I ended up toasting with a glass of white wine. It was a Chalk Hill Moscato from Australia. It was sweet and easy to drink – maybe I should have gone for a dessert wine. I paired the white wine with a platter of prosciutto. I love prosciutto. The prosciutto here was not too salty and mild. So it seemed to go well with the sweet white wine. The veggie-first dish was a salad. It had leafy greens, red and yellow bell peppers, baby corn, cucumber, and other colorful vegetables. The homemade dressing seemed to be miso-based, bringing out the freshness of the vegetables and creating a refreshing taste. The white wine was delicious, but I went for the organic sangria in red. It was made with organic wine but had a fruity base, making it easy to drink and enjoyable. The limited quantity butter garlic oysters had plenty of large oysters with shimeji mushrooms. Squeeze a little lemon over them. I'm always conscious of the smell of garlic in dishes, but this one was delicious, haha. The plump oysters were full of flavor and went well with the butter garlic. For the finale, I had the limited quantity truffle risotto with a raw egg yolk on top. The amount of truffle sprinkled on top was impressive. Wow, the aroma was nice, and it was so fragrant that the table next to me even asked, "Is that truffle?" Inside the risotto were onions and ham? Prosciutto? Crumble the yolk with truffle and enjoy it – it was exquisite. It's rare to have a dish with so much truffle sprinkled on top, and it was both voluminous and incredibly delicious. For dessert, I had the homemade tiramisu. It had a strong taste of mascarpone cheese. I heard that the fresh pasta is also very delicious. I'd like to try the fresh pasta next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

In a corner of Romance Street in Ikebukuro, three girls had a girls' night out at a stylish restaurant with a chic entrance that serves fresh pasta, meat, and wine. The restaurant is located on the basement floor, and upon entering, you'll see cute drawings on the walls. The young and energetic staff left a good impression, and there seemed to be a high percentage of couples dining there. As the name suggests, the menu at this bistro diner is meat-heavy, with options like seafood steamed with white wine and pasta. Since it was a Sunday and we had a bit too much to drink over the weekend, we opted for a couple of corn teas, but there was also a good selection of glass wines available. The homemade dressing salad came in a large bowl and was a great value. The white wine-steamed oysters were delicious, with about 4-5 oysters per serving, perfect for sharing among a group. The light broth with a hint of white wine mixed well with the oysters. The scallops with lemon butter had a similar delicious taste. The baguette with spicy bolognese dip was addictive, with just the right amount of spice. The seafood spaghetti with Genovese sauce was incredibly tasty, with a generous amount of clams and shrimp. The fresh pasta was delightfully chewy, and the rich Genovese sauce paired perfectly with the seafood. The restaurant's noren curtain at the entrance mentioned "pasta for after drinking," and indeed, it seemed like a popular choice for late-night diners. The restaurant closes around 11 pm on Sundays, but stays open until 12:30 am on weekdays, making it a great spot for a late-night pasta fix. While they don't offer lunch service, I would definitely come back to try their fresh pasta again when in Ikebukuro. It's truly addictive.

After enjoying a concert at the art theater with a friend, we visited this restaurant. It is located two minutes walk from the west exit, on the right side of Romance Street, on the basement floor. As you descend the stairs from the narrow entrance, you will find a cozy interior decorated with dried flowers. The atmosphere is lovely, and they have a wide variety of drinks. We toasted with their famous organic sangria! For food, we had the following: - "Cheese Platter" which included 5 types of cheese with honey, especially delicious were the blue cheese and Mimolette. - "Salad" served in a large bowl with fresh vegetables and onion chips sprinkled on top. The dressing was refreshing. - "Spicy Buttered Lotus Root Stir-fry" simply stir-fried lotus root mixed with spicy cod roe. The texture of the lotus root was addictive. - "Premium Roasted Joshu Seseragi Pork" was highly recommended. The pork was roasted simply and was tender and juicy. Green peppercorn sauce was optional, and sauerkraut was served on the side. - "Oysters with Butter and Garlic" large juicy oysters and mushrooms sautéed with plenty of garlic, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. The sauce was so delicious that you'd want to mix it with pasta! - We shared two pasta dishes: "Fisherman's Style Tomato Sauce Pasta" and "Lemon Cream Pasta." The former had a rich tomato sauce with the flavors of mussels, scallops, and clams, while the latter was a creamy lemon pasta with bacon and spinach, reminiscent of carbonara. The acidity of the lemon was refreshing. We also had a glass of red wine halfway through, and by the time we finished, the restaurant was full. It was a popular bistro in Ikebukuro.

Bistro tavern located in the basement of a building just off the west exit of Ikebukuro Station. The entrance and interior are decorated with appetizing photos of Italian dishes, making your heart race. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with about 80% of the tables occupied on a weekday night. The menu offers a wide variety of limited dishes, salads, appetizers, meats, desserts, and even a wine list. The drink selection includes beer, whiskey, cocktails, and more. We started with a toast with beer, and enjoyed dishes like fresh vegetables with shrimp miso dip, mentaiko butter lotus root, scallops in lemon butter, and herb-infused chicken. Everything paired well with our drinks and had a homemade, warm flavor. The scallops in lemon butter were particularly recommended! For the main course, we had fresh pasta with porcini mushrooms and oysters. The noodles were chewy, the oysters were plump, and the aroma of porcini mushrooms was rich - we couldn't stop eating! We finished with a tiramisu for dessert, which was just the right amount of sweetness. We also tried three types of white wine by the glass, comparing flavors with a friend. Despite indulging in so much food and drink, the bill came out to just a little over 10,000 yen for the two of us. I would love to visit again when I'm back in Ikebukuro. Thank you for the delicious meal!
