Kanda Station's west exit. It's a Kyushu and Okinawan cuisine restaurant located in a back alley a little off the west exit shopping street. It can be difficult to find without confirming the map. I went with 5 colleagues for a farewell party. The restaurant has seating on the first and second floors, and we were seated on the second floor. The dinner started at 6 pm with no customers at first. It was a bit disappointing, but soon more customers arrived, and by the time we left, it was almost full. We ordered the "Nanshu Course" for 4,000 yen, which included 10 dishes with motsunabe as the main dish and all-you-can-drink. Additionally, there was a coupon for all-you-can-eat motsunabe for an extra 500 yen, which we used. The all-you-can-drink menu was excellent, with a variety of shochu brands and beers like Orion and draft beer. The dishes like sea grapes, Nanshu home salad, and sweet potato sticks came out promptly. The sashimi of the day was Kibinago, typical of Kyushu. The next dish, satsuma-age, was delicious. Following that were Goya champuru, chicken nanban, and finally, the highlight motsunabe. By this point, I was quite full, but the motsunabe with its chewy intestines and perfect fat content was irresistible. I had seconds and thirds of the motsunabe. The meal ended with a satisfying porridge cooked in the motsunabe broth. You could also choose ramen. We ordered additional dishes like horse sashimi and tategami. Finally, we had a cute-sized almond jelly for dessert. The overall quality of the food was decent, and the value for money, especially with the all-you-can-drink menu, was excellent. Although the course was for a 2-hour limit, we ended up staying until almost 10 pm, enjoying a pleasant time without feeling rushed. It's a great place for a casual gathering with ample drinks and good conversation.
