I bought a Curry Ground Dog, a Curry Bun with a Half-Boiled Egg, and The Curry Bun. When I asked the staff about how to reheat the Curry Bun with a Half-Boiled Egg, they seemed confused, so it seems like they need more training. When I got home, I tried the Curry Bun with a Half-Boiled Egg without reheating it. The bun was soft and the curry was delicious, and the egg was perfectly half-boiled. I wonder if all the Curry Buns have half-boiled eggs in them, or if some have fully cooked eggs. But overall, it was a tasty curry bun. The Curry Bun was soft on the outside and the curry inside tasted like homemade curry, with a strong beef flavor. It was delicious. The Curry Ground Dog was like a hot dog, with a tasty sausage. Instead of ketchup and mustard, it had ketchup and curry, which was interesting. For curry lovers, this type of hot dog might be preferred. In Germany, they have Currywurst with curry flavor, right? Thanks for the delicious curry buns!

It is located inside the ticket gate of Tokyu Tamagawa Station. This place used to be Kobe-ya before. There was also a Kobe-ya Kitchen in front of the neighboring Denenchofu Station, which closed around the same time. The Tamagawa store became Little Mermaid while the Denenchofu store became a bread specialty shop called Sakimoto, but the latter also closed last month. The area from Takarai Park to Tamagawa Station and all the way to Asama Shrine is a popular dog walking route, so I often walk around here, but I don't use the station, so I couldn't visit the store inside the ticket gate. During the Kobe-ya days, there was a bread shaped like Tama-chan, a seal, which was only available at this store. Tama-chan was a male bearded seal that suddenly wandered into Tamagawa River around 20 years ago in August 2002, and it was even reported in the news. At that time, I was back in Japan for summer vacation and since it was nearby, I ran to see it, but couldn't find it. I think it moved to a different river. Even after it became Little Mermaid, I found out that the bread with Tama-chan's seal was still being sold, so I bought it right away. It costs 250 yen. Thanks to my reviewer friend, Sarutobie-chan, for letting me know. The product name does not mention Tama-chan at all, but the label says it's a limited edition Smile "Nikkori An Whipped Cream". Whether it's due to loyalty or other reasons, the Tama-chan bread from the Kobe-ya days was just a regular anpan, but the Little Mermaid version is a round coppe pan with red bean paste and whipped cream sandwiched inside. It's quite big and satisfying to eat.

There is a chain bakery inside the ticket gates of Tamagawa Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line, Meguro Line, and Tamagawa Line. It opens at 8 a.m., which is convenient. Raisin butter bread costs 220 yen, while freshly baked cream puffs are 240 yen. I go there quite often. On the 15th of every month, it's Little Mermaid Day, and you can receive a gift if you spend over 600 yen.

There is a bakery inside the ticket gate at Tama River Station on the Tokyu Line. I have always loved their "Half-Boiled Egg Curry Bread" and always make sure to buy it when I visit Little Mermaid. It's convenient to be able to buy it when transferring during my commute. The menu includes: Danish Sausage Dog (250 yen), Salt Bread (Lorraine Rock Salt) (140 yen), Raisin Butter (220 yen), and Half-Boiled Egg Curry Bread (230 yen).

This is a chain bakery inside the ticket gate at Tokyu Tamagawa Station, specializing in pastries. Recently, I noticed a poster for a famous pork bun shop in Yokohama Chinatown called "Buta Niini," supervised by Edosei. The name suggests a combination of pork bun and panini. I had been passing by without trying it, as Edosei's pork buns sold at the factory outlet in Kanazawa Ward are delicious, but the ones in Chinatown are not as good. However, my curiosity got the better of me, and I finally bought one (270 yen including tax) on this day. I lightly warmed it in the microwave at home. When I split the bread with a firm surface, inside there was minced meat with a soy sauce flavor, cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. Upon tasting it, it was somewhat ordinary, not as special as I had half expected. Maybe I should have tried grilling it in a hot sandwich maker if it's called a panini.

At Tokyu Tamagawa Station, there is a bakery called Little Mermaid. It used to be a different bakery before, but somehow it became Little Mermaid! However, when I went there the other day, I was happy to see that the "Tamagawa Tamachan" stamp from the previous bakery has made a comeback! The Anko Whip costs 250 yen (tax included) and it is a fluffy bread with red bean paste and whipped cream. The cute Tamachan stamp is back. It says it's limited to this store, but those who have used the bakery that was here before will know! Tamachan stamp♡ Once you see it, you just have to buy it, right?

This is a review of the Little Mermaid shop that opened at the Tamagawa Station inside the ticket gate, in place of the previously operating Kobe-ya. It seems that Kobe-ya has closed at other stations like Fudomae and Miyazakidai as well, and all have transitioned to the Little Mermaid under the management of Tokyu Gourmet Front. On this particular weekend, I decided to buy some bread here before transferring to the Meguro Line with my Tokyu one-day pass. Despite the change in name, the genre of products inside the shop seems to remain the same. I chose the hearty "Kitami Baron Croquette Sandwich" for 310 yen, which consists of a shiny corn bun filled with croquette, cabbage, and green kale. The bread was soft, the croquette was flavorful and the tonkatsu sauce generously added was a nice touch. In the past, Kobe-ya was a convenient breakfast spot along my commuting route using the Tamagawa Line and Namboku Line to Iidabashi, but now I will likely frequent this new shop instead.

Edo Kiyoki supervised Buta Nini 260 yen
Flanders-style Milk Pie 300 yen
The Flanders-style Milk Pie was delicious. However, it's a bit expensive at 300 yen. The others were not bad, but just average.

This morning, I bought deep-fried bread with granulated sugar and a curry bread with a half-cooked egg. The deep-fried bread had a nostalgic taste. The curry bread was delicious with the half-cooked egg, and it paired perfectly with the curry. I want to go back again! 🌟🌟🌟
