There is a chain of restaurants called "Shotaien" with branches in Machiya, Ginza, Hamamatsucho, and Sangenjaya. The main store in Machiya has a long history, established in 1978. It may not be very popular on social media, but Shotaien has many hidden fans, including myself. I have visited the branches in Machiya, Hamamatsucho, Ginza, and Shinbashi, and I particularly enjoyed the food at Machiya and Hamamatsucho. The Shinbashi branch used to have a lot of foreign staff a few years ago, but on this day, most of the staff were Japanese. I visited for lunch and I really love their roast beef bowl. Priced at 950 yen, it is a very cost-effective and delicious lunch option. The finely sliced roast beef, almost like raw meat, paired with sauce and egg yolk is incredibly tasty. Among lunch menu items featuring raw meat, this roast beef bowl is one of the best in terms of taste. I will definitely visit again at the right timing.

The entrance to the restaurant was hard to find. There were stairs as well as an elevator. The price for the Tsubo-tsuki kalbi lunch was around 1300 to 1400 yen. Rice, pickles, and bean sprouts were all-you-can-eat. The restaurant was spacious inside.

I went to Ginza and searched for a restaurant. I went with my daughter and family, and although the building looked suspicious with a girls bar on the first floor, we were hesitant to enter the mysterious yakiniku restaurant behind the iron door on the second floor. However, the food was surprisingly delicious. It was a bit noisy, but that's to be expected.

I visited Shotaian in Shinbashi for lunch after finishing my business in Toranomon for two weeks. This restaurant specializes in solo yakiniku dining. I had been wanting to try their yakiniku again since I had raw top loin at a local shop a while back. I was seated at a table where I couldn't see the next table's situation. I looked at the menu and decided to order the Shotaian special set because I wanted to eat well for energy recovery. I also ordered a beer. First, I was served a glass of Premium Malt and sauce to enjoy while waiting. Then, four types of meat, rice, soup, and lettuce arrived all at once. I started by grilling the tongue and eating it with a refreshing sauce. The top kalbi had plenty of fat and the salt seasoning enhanced its sweetness. The loin had a tender texture with plenty of fat, making it very delicious. I quickly ate the firmly cooked rice. The harami had a thick cut but was also tender, making it a good match with the beer I had afterwards. Since it was lunch, this was enough for me, but I wonder what it would be like at night. With beer, I could probably eat endlessly. I had a delicious yakiniku lunch.

It was a shop that was quite busy even on weekdays. I had yukhoe, tataki, loin, and kalbi. The way they served the lettuce was like in a high-end restaurant, which made me laugh. The taste was excellent and satisfying. Thank you very much.

A group of 4 people spent around 30,500 yen (around 7,500 yen per person) at this restaurant. They ordered thick-cut tongue (3 servings), salted kalbi (3 servings), raw tongue (2 servings), marinated kalbi (2 servings), seared liver (1 serving), large rice (3 servings), cold noodles, Shotaiken salad, assorted kimchi, premium malt beer (medium bottle), and soft drinks (3 servings). The kalbi was delicious with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the amount they ate did not make them feel greasy. The tongue was tender and tasty, in bite-sized pieces. The salad was slightly low in salt. The restroom was clean and equipped with paper towels, mouthwash, and toothbrushes. They were able to easily make a reservation two days in advance via phone and secure a table for 6:00 PM.

Ordered tongue, seared liver, grilled sukiyaki, sirloin, yukkejang soup, and salt ice cream. The tongue had a good texture and a strong taste. The seared liver had no unpleasant smell and went well with sesame oil. The grilled sukiyaki with egg and green onions was a good combination. The meat was high quality. The sirloin was very tender and delicious, with tasty sauce. The yukkejang soup was quite good. Spicy and flavorful! When mixed with egg, oxtail, and soup, it was really delicious. It was delicious! A 3-minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station (SL exit). On the second floor, when you open the iron gate at the top of the stairs, you enter a dimly lit interior. The Premium Course (including tax 6,490 yen) with all-you-can-drink option (2 hours, including tax 2,420 yen). The beef is tender and flavorful, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. You can enjoy a variety of cuts from kalbi, tongue, harami to hormone assortment. You can fully enjoy plenty of meat. The tongue salt dish comes with 3 pieces per person. The lettuce is all-you-can-eat, but it's better not to wrap it to enjoy the meat directly. The salad, condiments, and Wagyu meatballs are also delicious and go well with drinks. Personally, I like the salad here. The meal ends with a ginger-flavored porridge with plenty of beef tongue on top. Both the taste and portion size are excellent. However, the all-you-can-drink refills take a while to arrive after ordering. There are many floor staff circulating, but it seems that they are struggling to keep up with making drinks. It's enjoyable for groups of 4 or more, with the option of round tables for larger groups. There are also semi-private seats, but the main area is a lively open hall.

I made a reservation for 5:00 p.m. on a weekday. I was extremely impressed by the deliciousness of the meat during my first visit. The taste was unforgettable, so I went back for a second time! I ordered the premium course again, and it was still delicious. So delicious... Everything was tasty, but I especially loved the Harami. Despite being Harami, it had a lot of marbling. The flavor was amazing with each bite. The thick texture of the meat was also irresistible! For the finishing dish, I chose the charcoal-grilled stew this time. It was incredibly delicious! The chunk of beef was huge, with plenty of vegetables, and you could add unlimited cheese and Tabasco. It was incredibly rich and hot. Personally, I prefer it over the tsukune. For dessert, I tried the mango milk shaved ice for the first time. I thought it was a shaved ice specialty shop... It was super delicate and fluffy. It disappeared the moment I put it in my mouth. It was milk-flavored ice with milk at the bottom. Topped with plenty of mango sauce, it was super sweet. It was as delicious as the grilled meat. I would come just to eat this. "On a hot day, I decided to go on a solo adventure to visit 100 famous restaurants in Tokyo, starting with 3 different genres. I first stopped at Shinbashi Station and headed to the 'Seitaien Shinbashi' branch of the 'Yakiniku 100 Famous Restaurants'. The restaurant is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Shinbashi Station, near the Hibiya exit. It is on the second floor of a building, and you might be confused by the unique door at the entrance, but just slide it open to enter. The interior is spacious, with a variety of seating options from tables to private rooms. I arrived around the opening time on a Monday and was quickly seated in a large private-like booth. I ordered the popular 'Special Jar Pickled Power Lunch' for 1350 yen, which came with rice, lettuce, namul, kimchi, soup, jar-pickled meat and vegetables, and shrimp. The meal was served on a shichirin charcoal grill, allowing you to cook the meat yourself. The quality of the meat, including lean slices and marbled kalbi, was excellent, and the meal overall was satisfying. The lunch menu also includes options like roast beef bowl and sundubu set for under 1000 yen. While the portion size of the lunch set was a bit small, the quality of the meat and the experience of grilling it yourself made it a worthwhile dining experience."

I arrived at the restaurant around 12 o'clock on a regular day. It's about a 3-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and clean. I ordered the Power Lunch L. The marinated meat in the pot was delicious with a rich flavor! It came with plump shrimp, eringi mushrooms, and shishito peppers, giving a luxurious feeling. The lettuce, bean sprout namul, and rice were all free for refills, making it a very satisfying lunch. I definitely want to visit again in the evening.

I visited a restaurant in the Shinbashi area and had the special marinated pot dish lunch with premium Japanese beef (M size) for 1350 yen. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building on a side street off Shinbashi Nakadori, heading towards Shinbashi. The entrance is unique, and when you open the door, you might hesitate a bit to enter. Inside, there is a large display of high-quality meat in a refrigerator, and the seating consists mainly of box seats for four people. I was seated in one of the corners and a charcoal grill was set up in the middle of the table. Soon, a pot containing grilled items (Japanese beef, vegetables, shrimp) was brought out. The side dishes included spicy bean sprouts, kimchi, lettuce, and seaweed soup. You can get refills of rice, lettuce, and spicy bean sprouts. It was interesting to use an injector-like device to dispense miso onto the lettuce. The grilled meat in the pot seemed to be various cuts like ribs and loin, marinated in sauce and cooked quickly on the grill. It was thin, so it cooked fast and was ready to eat right away. There was a good amount of meat, and I felt satisfied. I added four pieces of lettuce, spicy bean sprouts, and half a bowl of rice for a hearty meal. I'm curious about the premium Japanese beef served at night. It was a delicious meal.

This is a perfectly traditional yakiniku restaurant. Although the thick-cut tongue was sold out on the day we visited, the regular-sized wagyu tongue was incredibly delicious and satisfying! They don't rely on unusual items, but rather stick to the basics and excel in them! The prices may seem a bit high, but the portion size is actually quite generous! So it might be better to start with a conservative order.

I had lunch at Seitaien restaurant! I visited around 12:30 pm and the place was not crowded. There are many delicious looking restaurants around Shinbashi, so maybe that's why it was not busy. From the lunch menu, I ordered the following: - Special selected Wagyu beef pot lunch M 1350 yen - Special selected Wagyu beef pot lunch L 1680 yen - Draft beer 480 yen You can have unlimited refills of rice, spicy bean sprouts, and lettuce. I wrapped the lettuce with meat, kimchi, bean sprouts, and rice, and it was really delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice, and I could enjoy my lunch leisurely. Next time, I want to try the Sundubu-jjigae lunch! If you are interested, please give it a try!

The staff were friendly and the food, from kimchi to shaved ice, was delicious. The entrance was a bit hard to find. The restroom was located towards the center of the restaurant, with separate facilities for men and women. Inside the women's restroom, there were two stalls and two makeup touch-up areas, which was convenient. Overall, the place had a clean and tidy feel.

I had thick-cut tongue, premium tongue, premium loin, regular loin, spicy rare steak, hormone mix (hormone, mino, gala), meat rice, salad, and plenty of alcohol! I prefer thick-cut tongue and the premium loin is almost like kalbi, haha. It's delicious, but it's more suitable for those who can handle the oil. The meat rice tastes like garlic rice, with the condiments adding a nice touch! There's pickled ginger for in-between bites, making it a good palate cleanser. Eating all of this for 8000 yen per person is a great deal, I think! Definitely recommend it!

I went after a long time! The tongue, thigh, skirt steak, and liver were all delicious as always! The tongue and skirt steak are always so good! I usually only go to the Shinbashi branch, so maybe next time I'll try a different place! And I must remember to take photos of the meat next time!

Moved from Sendai to Tokyo. Arrived right at lunchtime. I had made a reservation beforehand at this place, one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants in Tokyo for 2022. It's really nice that even though it's one of the top 100, they serve lunch. Using the navigation on Tabelog, I headed there and along the way, I noticed two OLs walking in front of me on the same route. They started going up to the second floor of a building, so I followed them and arrived at the restaurant. The entrance looked like a wall, so it might have been hard to find if I were alone. The restaurant had a large capacity. Even though I was alone, they led me to a semi-private room for four. The roast was already cooking. From the menu, I ordered the "Special Wagyu Beef Tsubo-zuke Lunch" (1350 yen, so grateful!!). The dishes were all served together. There was bean sprout namul and cucumber salad. You could have unlimited refills of lettuce (so grateful). When you open the tsubo, there were grilled vegetables and even one Black Tiger shrimp. The meat was marinated well in sauce and was healthy to eat with the vegetables. Even the restroom had mouthwash available. Despite being one of the top 100, it's a great restaurant where you can go without feeling intimidated.

This is a review of the restaurant "Seitaien Shinbashi" which is one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog in 2022. I had previously visited the Ginza branch, but this was my first time at the Shinbashi branch. Despite being approached by hostesses from the cabaret club in the same building, I managed to enter the restaurant without any issues. The menu was similar to the one at the Ginza branch, and the quality of the meat was excellent. The highlight was definitely the grilled beef tongue, and the alcohol was also delicious.
