Title as it is. I didn't know there was such a good restaurant here, even though I've been eating and drinking around here for about 30 years. And on a weekday Wednesday, where should we drink? Searched on Hot Pepper for the Spring Point Return Festival 2023, and found a restaurant that offers a 1,200 yen point back. I don't know if these restaurants offer such discounts because they don't have many customers, or if it's a trial price to promote the restaurant, but I can't expect much from it. (I mean, they're discounting it by 1,200 yen from the regular price?) But sometimes there are hidden gems. Really. Now, the restaurant I reserved this time. Was there such a place, such a restaurant? I often drank at the neighboring restaurant, but even looking at the exterior photo of the restaurant, it doesn't ring a bell at all. (I have no idea, just like with Masaru Doi's hint!) However, it seems to be a long-established restaurant that has been in business for 38 years. I want to go there regardless of whether it's a hit or miss. I made a reservation right away! Since the introduction was long, let me tell you the conclusion. Delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing! And it's so cheap! That's it! (No, that's not it...) The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. I wish I had known about this cool restaurant sooner... (What does it matter if you knew about it earlier?) This course was really good. I'll copy and paste the contents. 1) Tapas platter of fresh vegetables directly delivered from JA Musashi 2) Salad of freshly picked Musashi vegetables with fruit vinegar dressing 3) Hand-roasted roast beef by the chef 4) Beef stew from the long-established restaurant 5) French fries imported from the US with sour cream onion flavor 6) Pulled pork sandwich with "melting cheddar cheese" from Yamagata pork Everything was really delicious, but what left a lasting impression was the roast beef, beef stew, and pork sandwich. I didn't really like roast beef before, as I mentioned earlier. But my friends said, "That's because you've never had really good roast beef." Well, when I think about it, I've never had authentic roast beef. I bought one that was half price at the supermarket and ate it, and it wasn't that tasty. But when I ate the roast beef at this restaurant, it was delicious! (laughs) My friends said that there's no way you can't like roast beef. Roast beef is a dish that condenses the umami of the meat... I thought to myself, "What are you trying to act all knowledgeable for?" But surprisingly, what he said wasn't wrong. Even though he always talks nonsense. Once, in a conversation, someone asked me for the official name of the USSR, and I confidently said, "United States Soviet Russia!" (It was a pretty good answer for a sudden pun!) Beef stew, when eaten at a restaurant, is always a dish that I find disappointing despite being expensive. (This is just my opinion.) That's because when I was a child, my mother made beef stew with store-bought roux, and that was the best. That stew sauce or roux to enjoy. The feeling of eating it like curry roux. Wanting to pour it over rice. Wanting to eat it with the crust of bread. I like the roux of the stew more than the ingredients! Lastly, the pork sandwich. This one is really delicious, no doubt about it.
