Cheap eel chain restaurant. I had heard of it before, but avoided it because I love eel. I was hesitating in front of the store, but when I saw them grilling over charcoal, I gathered my courage and decided to give it a try! I ordered a double eel bowl (1100 yen). It arrived in about 15 minutes. Since it is charcoal-grilled, it has a nice smoky aroma, and it doesn't have the slimy feeling on the skin that cheap eel often has. If they could improve the overly sweet and heavy sauce, it would be perfect. The eel is said to be skewered for 3 years before grilling. Although it is grilled on a net instead of skewered, it is still charcoal-grilled. Considering the price, it is convenient and worth a try!

While on a business trip, have you ever had the sudden urge to eat eel? Especially during the hot summer days, there may be times like that. Today was one of those days for me, but I didn't feel like it had to be something fancy. Although there are places like Sukiya that offer eel dishes, I have always preferred Unatoto in such situations. Today, as usual, I ordered the double eel bowl and added the free red miso soup with the coupon. The restaurant was quite small, and I happened to arrive when there was only one staff member, so it took about 10 minutes for the dish to be served. The eel was of decent quality, not losing to the price, and it brought a smile to my face. The rice was a bit dry, which was a bit disappointing, but the pickled vegetables were delicious on a hot night, and for 1100 yen, it was satisfying! Thank you for the meal!

Unaju special (large portion) for 1800 yen. This chain restaurant is new to me. The amount of eel was satisfying. I will give it 3 stars because I'm not sure how good the eel really is. The taste was rich and the rice portion was small. However, it took about 20 minutes from ordering to serving, which was a bit of a concern. Maybe it's normal because they were grilling the eel.

I have never stopped by at "Unatoto" before, not because I looked down on it, but because I couldn't bring myself to eat Chinese eel. The timing was awkward at 10:00 am when none of the restaurants were open yet, so I decided to try it to fill my stomach. Apart from the taste, I was surprised by the prices, which seemed higher than what you would expect for Chinese eel. Despite the doubts, the restaurant proudly served crispy grilled eel, showing their dedication to quality. The texture of the eel skin may not be everyone's favorite, but it's a deliberate choice by the restaurant. It's like enjoying standing soba noodles for those who love soba or drinking coffee from a convenience store for coffee enthusiasts. In the end, it's just about changing your perspective and enjoying the eel for what it is. I would have liked to try other eel dishes like eel rolls, eel salad, or grilled eel liver, but they were not available on the restaurant's ticket machine. Perhaps, it's something to try another time at a more appropriate place.

Today I visited the restaurant near Akihabara Station called Unatoto. I bought a meal ticket for 700 yen, which included an eel bowl for 590 yen and red miso soup for 110 yen. Even though you can now find eel at fast food chains, Unatoto stands out because they grill the eel nicely, giving it a delicious aroma. The pickled vegetables and red miso soup are also good for the price. I am very satisfied with my meal.

This eel bowl is priced at this price. It comes with a cute-sized eel on top. It is grilled over charcoal to warm it up. It is small but thick and soft. It seems that the eel doubles with one bill. Yummy. Finished it all today. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Meidai Unatoto" located just a 5-minute walk from Akihabara Station Electric Town Exit, across from Akihabara UDX. I had been craving eel for a while, so I couldn't resist the tempting smell, but I was surprised when I saw the prices! The eel bowl was only 550 yen! So, I decided to go for the double eel bowl (1000 yen!) with red miso soup (110 yen). They provide water and tea in a pot, and there are also complimentary pickles, sansho pepper, and shichimi available on the table. I thought it was just a counter seat place, but they also have table seats where you can relax. Now, onto the eel itself, it was quite something. The thick eel slices were nicely grilled with a not-too-sweet sauce, which I liked. The rice was not too soft, and it paired well with the sauce. Overall, it was a satisfying experience at this restaurant.

After a long time, I decided to have lunch in Akihabara! I went to the cheap Unatoto restaurant and bought the popular No.1 double eel bowl for 1000 yen from the ticket machine. The eel was thick and the portion was quite generous! I also added miso soup for 100 yen halfway through. This is a great deal for 1100 yen, right!

The eel was plump and delicious!! I had the most popular menu item, the "Double Unadon" (¥1000), at the rare eel fast food restaurant "Nadai Unatoto" for a slightly late lunch. I purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine outside the shop. I also ordered the "Liver Sucking" (¥160) while I was at it! The interior of the shop has a counter and two 4-person tables. There is no restroom, so I went to the restroom at Akihabara UDX in front of the shop. The Unadon and Liver Sucking that were brought to me shortly after were of higher quality than I had imagined! I thought it would be thinner and microwave-like in quality (I'm sorry), but the Akihabara branch I visited was carefully and thoroughly grilled over charcoal after taking the order, making it plump! The self-service pickled radish service is also nice, and if you order the Double Unadon, the extra-large portion is free. If you're someone who likes to eat heartily, you'll have no problem with the extra-large portion! The Akihabara branch of Unatoto has a higher quality of grilling compared to other branches. I'm also curious about the limited-time "Super Luxurious Umaki Don"!

This chain is also famous for offering eel at a low price even though it has soared in price, but due to the small number of stores, I had never eaten there before. I recently found out that they have opened a store in Akihabara, so I came to see what it was like. The famous dish is the eel bowl for 550 yen, but the bestseller is actually the double eel bowl for 1000 yen, which you can order at the ticket vending machine outside the store. I asked for less rice. There was also an eel rice bowl for 880 yen. The soup is at an additional cost. The interior of the restaurant has a counter and table seats, but there are no partitions. When I entered, there were no other customers, and I was the only one who came in later. The kitchen is operated by two women, and after ordering, it seems like they grill the eel a little on the grill. The dish that came out looked like this, with small dishes that made it look like the eel was overflowing, but even though it's called a double, it's more like half an eel. The eel has slightly thick skin and meat, and it has a slightly firm texture. I'm not sure if it's the type of eel or the cooking method that makes it this way. 1000 yen for a large serving with free upgrade, but the bowl is small and only two pieces of eel, so it's not enough. The eel is on the small side, so it can't be helped. They already have it grilled when you order, and quickly sear it before serving. The pickled vegetables on the table are pickled ginger. The taste is average. The eel is farmed, neither good nor bad. If you really want to eat eel and want to keep the budget down, it's good. Additional red miso soup service with Line.

This is Una toto ☆ Akihabara store. Una-don ...... 550 yen. This shop is located 270 meters from Akihabara Station. Today, it seems that Mugei Koshoku-san went to this shop, so I want to trace it. The cost performance is really strong, as expected (laughs). It's soft and fluffy~♪ When I looked at the stove, they were using synthetic charcoal. But it's a high-quality charcoal, so it turned out soft and fluffy, surprising me. The rice is cooked well too. The eel sauce is also applied generously, which is quite good. Perhaps this might be the best Una toto I've been to so far.

Uunatoto opened in December 2020 on the north side of Akihabara UDX, along Akiba Tashiro Street. Uunatoto began licensing under Ghost Restaurant in June 2020. This particular store is the first under a licensing agreement with NINE Corporation. Unlike a ghost restaurant, there are 6 counter seats and 8 table seats inside. I couldn't resist the temptation to have eel on the midsummer day of the ox, so I decided to try Uunatoto. The smell of charcoal grilling by the roadside is delightful. I ordered the eel bowl (550 yen) from the ticket machine. While the eel may be small, it is still reasonably priced compared to other chains. The eel bowl, cooked with a sweet and savory sauce, took about 6 minutes to be served. The aroma of the sauce is wonderful, and the rice is generously coated with it. With a side of pickled ginger, the eel is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making it delicious. The price is definitely a plus point.

I had a double eel bowl for 1000 yen. There is a super cheap eel bowl chain on Akihabara Tadashiro Street, starting from 550 yen. Thank you for being so affordable here. They grill it over charcoal, and the sauce was a little sweet, maybe because the charcoal was almost out. I barely made it before closing time. When I become big someday, I'll come back here to try the surprise eel bowl for 2200 yen.

I went with my colleagues for lunch! I thought it might be low quality because it was only ¥550, but it was actually delicious! Personally, I liked that the rice was relatively firm. I think the cost performance is very good! It's perfect for a casual lunch scene!

Every summer, I usually go to "Unatoto" in Kanda to recharge my energy, but this time I happened to come across it when I visited Akihabara station and was delighted to discover it. I ordered the usual "Unadon Double". It was brought to me promptly with great skill. The visual presentation was perfect. Soft eel, crispy skin, well-cooked rice, and sweet sauce created a perfect quartet that I thoroughly enjoyed. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff were working hard and the restaurant was full of energy. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I went to a new eel restaurant called Unatoto in Akihabara! It's located near Don Quijote in Akihabara, and you can smell the delicious aroma from outside. Even though it was not lunchtime, the restaurant was packed with customers. Today, my friends and I decided to go all out and ordered the special deluxe eel rice bowl! It seemed to be a ticket system, so we bought our tickets and they started grilling the eel right away. It had been a while since I had eel, so I was really excited! It was grilled over charcoal, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! It tasted delicious with the sweet sauce and sansho pepper. It was probably the biggest eel dish I've ever had. It was so delicious! Thank you for the meal! While waiting, I chatted with the staff who were very friendly. The atmosphere was lively and overall it was a great experience. I will definitely come back when I crave eel again!

For dinner that day, I decided to eat at a newly opened restaurant at Akihabara Station where I had never been before. I knew the restaurant had opened, so I decided to give it a try. I purchased a double eel bowl for 1,000 yen from the ticket machine outside the restaurant. Inside, there was one other customer and a pleasant aroma in the air. I wondered what the eel would taste like. After a while, the eel arrived. It was reasonably thick and had a normal taste. There was sauce on the table, so you could adjust the flavor to your liking. The eel was tender and tastier than eel from typical mass retailers. However, it felt like it had been reheated as the inside was cold. Considering the price for this size of eel compared to imported eel from supermarkets, it was a bit questionable. If I ever feel like having affordable eel in town, I might come back. Overall, it was okay. The aroma was nice though.

Unagi Donburi - Regular - 550 yen I am in Akihabara. Let's visit this place that just opened on December 19th. (^_^) I entered at 3:43 PM, with 1 customer before me and 3 customers after me. The menu includes (tax included): Unagi Donburi Double - 1,000 yen Unagi Donburi - 550 yen Unagi Ju - 880 yen Unagi Ju Upper - 1,430 yen Unagi Donburi Special - 1,650 yen Big Surprise Ju - 2,200 yen Red Miso Soup - 110 yen Liver Sashimi - 160 yen Today, I decided to order the signature dish, the Unagi Donburi. I received my order within about 3 minutes. The eel is charcoal-grilled, so it is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The rice was a bit too firm for my liking, I prefer it softer. So, I ended up finishing half of the eel and half of the pickles. At other restaurants, I usually received a free miso soup coupon at the end, but since this place requires payment upfront, I didn't get that here. That was also disappointing. Thank you for the meal. Visited for lunch on December 30, 2020. No rating.

On a Sunday, which was supposed to be a day off, I ended up having to work and finished in Ochanomizu. I decided to have a light drink afterwards, so I chose this shop. The shop is located in front of Akihabara UDX, and it used to be a ramen shop. When I arrived, I noticed there was no alcohol on the menu, unlike the shop in Kanda where I could have a casual drink. Oh well, since I was already here, I decided to have an eel bowl before heading home. I ordered a double eel bowl from the ticket machine. Inside the shop, there were four Akiba-style guys at a table, two salarymen at the counter, and a woman staff member waiting for a takeout order. The shop is run by two women, one of whom was busy grilling eel. I watched as she took the frozen eel out of the pack, cut it, and thawed it in a metal container before grilling it over charcoal. After a short wait, the eel bowl was served. The eel was slightly overcooked, with some parts charred from the grill. It might have been better if they had just warmed it up without grilling it. Nonetheless, the eel was tender compared to a certain eel bowl chain, and considering the portion size for 1,000 yen, it was quite affordable. However, the eel that had turned into charcoal didn't taste good. So, today's drink ended up being an eel bowl.
