Today's lunch was oil soba. The restaurant is known for long lines during lunchtime, but I went early and didn't have to wait. I had the large size oil soba for 880 yen. The noodles were hot and chewy, very delicious! As a beginner in eating oil soba, I looked around to see how others were eating it. I noticed that the bottom noodles were slightly discolored from absorbing a bit of the soup. It's important to mix it quickly to avoid uneven noodle taste. You can add vinegar, chili oil, and toppings like chopped onions to your liking. It was delicious - vinegar goes really well with oil soba. Thank you for the meal.

Akasaka has many shops closed during the Obon period. I think it's hard for people in the food and beverage industry to take a break, so it's better to rest during this time. I'm working, so I came to this shop that is open during this period. Thank you for the delicious oil soba ☻ [Today's Order] - Oil soba large serving - Special Topping A (green onion sesame + half-boiled egg)

I stopped by on my way home from work at Tokyo Abura Soba Sohonke, located just a 1-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Station. The best part is that you can get a double portion for the same price as a regular portion. I chose the double portion at the ticket machine near the entrance. Before handing it to the staff, I was greeted with a "Double, please!" which was a bit embarrassing. I took a seat at the counter in the back and waited for my order. The Abura Soba is a soy sauce-based soupless ramen, perfect for the hot summer weather. As a fan of spicy food, I added extra chili oil and vinegar before even taking a bite. The dish was topped with a mountain of onions and a generous amount of chili oil. It was spicy, delicious, and absolutely satisfying. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #AburaSoba #TokyoAburaSobaSohonke #AkasakaMitsuke #Akasaka #SpicyFood #Ramen #Noodles

Located just a minute's walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, this ramen shop is always crowded with a line out the door. I arrived around 11:45 am on a weekday and had to wait about 10 minutes in line. The small shop has a cozy L-shaped counter with only 9 seats. The menu offers only two options: Abura Soba (oil-based ramen) and Spicy Miso Abura Soba. You can choose the amount of noodles: regular (160g), large (240g), or extra-large (320g), all for the same price. There are also 8 toppings available to customize your bowl. I ordered the Abura Soba with extra noodles and a half-boiled egg. The instructions on the counter recommended mixing in vinegar and chili oil, but the noodles were delicious even without any additional toppings. Adding the vinegar and chili oil changed the flavor profile, and adding extra toppings like onions and spice enhanced the dish even further. It was a delicious and versatile bowl of ramen that I highly recommend. As I left, I noticed many foreign tourists with guidebooks lining up to try this popular spot.

It's getting hot, so I felt like having some oil noodles occasionally. It was lunchtime and surprisingly there was no line outside, so I decided to visit this chain restaurant that I often see in the Kanto region. I ordered the Oil Noodles (double portion) for 880 yen, with special toppings A (green onions and half-boiled egg) for an additional 180 yen, and yuzu pepper for free. The portion increase is the same price. It's a simple and easy-to-eat flavor, not heavy or greasy, more on the refreshing side. The style is to add vinegar and chili oil, but it's not very spicy. If you like oily and heavy flavors in your oil noodles, this might not be the best choice. Also, the normal option (without additional toppings) has very few ingredients, so be aware of that. The price is reasonable and the portion size is good, so I recommend it.

The oil noodles at this chain are delicious. The garlic double here was more than at other stores! Even at night, there are 2-3 people waiting, and the low-calorie oil noodles are popular. I feel that the shops near Mitsuke and Akasaka TBS are exceptionally delicious, but I wonder if there is something different?

A series of places I always end up visiting when I'm nearby. This place brings back nostalgic flavors. About 15 years ago, when I used to spend a lot of time in Akasaka, I would eat here whenever I got hungry late at night. Back then, I would only eat it occasionally, but once I'm away, I find myself craving it. I usually debate between spicy miso or regular, with extra toppings. Lately, I've been leaning towards the spicy miso. The spiciness here is different from the usual, and they put plenty of onions and a bit of free garlic. I realized recently that adding a little garlic really complements the dish. I've come to expect some changes in my stomach the next day after eating here, but I know I'll end up craving it again soon.

I crave this dish regularly!! Today's order is extra large Abura Soba with special toppings A (green onions and seasoned egg). The menu describes it as a Tokyo specialty "Abura Soba," a new sensation ramen without soup. I've lived in Tokyo for 30 years, but this is news to me, haha.

Located very close to Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, this place offers ramen with a choice of noodle amount between 160g and 320g at the same price. Hungry salarymen usually go for the 320g option. I chose the Spicy Miso Oil Ramen with double noodles (320g) for 980 yen. The bowl arrived in about 5 minutes. The sauce was hidden at the bottom, so I added vinegar and chili oil and mixed it well. The spiciness was strong enough to make me cough at first, but I gradually got used to it. The noodles were chewy and had a unique texture that clung to my lips. The combination of spicy miso and noodles was perfect, making it easy to slurp up every last bit.

I came to a nearby sauna and on the way back it was already past 11 PM, so there were few shops open. I visited this place and ordered the Oil Ramen in large size for ¥880, with an additional topping A for ¥180. It was my first time trying it, but the popular toppings of green onions and half-boiled egg mixed together nicely and tasted delicious.

Hello! This is Kuidaore Ningyou ni Naritai 2 ^ ^ ◯ This time, I visited "Tokyo Abura-Gumi Sōhonten Akasaka Mitsuke-Gumi" restaurant. The restaurant is located about a 2-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Station. ◯ I visited on a weekday night. The restaurant was almost full, but I was able to sit down smoothly due to the fast turnover. ~ Today's Menu ~ Abura soba Regular (880 yen) + Special Topping A Negi Goma & Half-boiled Egg (180 yen) Parmesan Cheese (50 yen) Ground Garlic (0 yen), Crushed Double Garlic (0 yen) ◆ It took about 5 minutes for the dish to arrive. First, I added some vinegar. ◆ I enjoyed the neatly arranged chashu, negi goma, half-boiled egg, and menma while mixing them. The flavor is strong, with the negi goma adding a nice accent. ◆ I added Parmesan cheese halfway through for a creamy taste, and added ground & crushed garlic for flavor variation. I finished it in no time. ◯ The staff was polite and the service was good. I think the cost performance is also quite good. ◯ Next time, I would like to try the "white negi" and "yuzu kosho". It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

After enjoying some sake at a Japanese restaurant and feeling a bit hungry, we decided to go to this place for our second stop. From the name, I was expecting something really fattening, but then I saw the sign... A bowl of hot and chewy noodles with a special flavorful sauce, vinegar, and chili oil. The noodles are the star of the dish. Surprisingly, the calorie count is only one-third of regular ramen. You can customize your toppings and enjoy changing the flavor with chopped onions. And guess what? The calorie count is only one-third! I had to go check it out. So we visited for the first time. You purchase your food ticket from a vending machine. I ended up ordering: Oil Ramen with Special Toppings A and a beer. The instructions on how to eat the ramen were provided. The noodles were served hot with bamboo shoots, green onions, sesame seeds, soft-boiled egg, meat, and seaweed on top. Mix it all together and dig in. The noodles were thick and curly, so they absorbed the sauce well. It was delicious. Adding chili oil and vinegar a couple of times during the meal enhanced the flavor. I personally like vinegar, so I added it gradually as I ate. The dish has a rich flavor, making it a good choice for a quick meal after a night of drinking!

I found a shop that was open and remembered visiting it a long time ago. Without hesitation, I bought a ticket for the oil soba and enjoyed it because I was a little drunk. It was neither good nor bad, but it satisfied my hunger.

Adding green onions, sesame seeds, seaweed, and extra garlic, (without meat) I casually entered and ended up with a stomach ache. The combination of grated and crushed raw garlic gave a tingling sensation, then adding the attacks of chili oil and vinegar, I couldn't resist the deliciousness and enjoyed it while suffering. I rolled the noodles, garlic, and seasoned bamboo shoots in seaweed and savored them. The topping of sesame seeds and green onions was also fantastic. This was a form of self-harm that accompanies the pleasure needed by adults living in a stressful society. Thank you for the meal!

I always order the extra spicy miso with toppings at this place. It's consistently delicious and addictive. Among the many oil-based ramen options, this one stands out. Maybe it's because of the half-boiled egg or the unique spicy miso flavor, but even though it's spicy, the aftertaste is surprisingly mellow. The chashu is also flavorful. The staff is efficient and friendly. Every time I come here, it's like this. I highly recommend it.

Visited on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. There were no customers due to heavy rain, so we were seated right away. Whenever I come to Akasaka-Mitsuke, I always end up eating here for some reason. The taste is addictive! The portion size is great too, the best! This was the first place I tried oil noodles. Highly recommended.

[Tokyo Abura Soba Main Store Akasaka Mitsuke Group] Minato-ku, Akasaka 3-10-20, 1st floor of the Third Taisui Building Abura Soba + Half-boiled Egg 820 yen + 100 yen (tax included) ❁❀✿✾❁❀✿✾❁❀✿✾❁❀✿✾ A secret sauce based on soy sauce and specially blended oil, vinegar, and chili oil are mixed with thick noodles made from the highest quality domestic wheat. Surprisingly, the calorie count is only 2/3 of regular ramen, making it a healthy choice. I also ordered water dumplings as an extra, but I didn't take a photo of them. Even on weekdays, there may be a line, but since it's a ramen shop, the turnover is quick. I highly recommend you try it out! ✨❁❀✿✾❁❀✿✾❁❀✿✾❁❀✿✾

I stopped by the same restaurant in Akasaka Mitsuke after having a drink. I used the ticket machine inside the restaurant to order the "Abura Soba (regular size, 820 yen)". Normally, I would choose a larger size for the same price, but I decided to go with the regular size this time. After waiting for about 7 minutes, the dish arrived. First, following the recommended way of eating, I added vinegar and chili oil around the noodles, then I added a lot of chopped onions and mixed everything well. [Noodles] The noodles were thick curly noodles, slightly soft when served warm but they became chewier as they cooled down. They were quite delicious. [Toppings] The toppings included chashu pork, menma (bamboo shoots), green onions, and seaweed. The chashu pork was thinly sliced and had a good amount of tenderness, making it tasty. [Sauce] The sauce was soy sauce-based with added oil, but it wasn't too salty, making it easy to eat. Personally, I like vinegar, so I think adding a generous amount of vinegar enhances the flavor. [Overall] Although it's a chain restaurant, I think the Abura Soba here is quite delicious. The fact that you can choose between regular, large, or extra-large sizes for the same price makes it popular among young people. It's not a place where you have to wait in line, but it's just right for casual dining.

Oh, the taste is just irresistible. I crave it at least once a month. The garlic topping is amazing. Just a heads up though, you'll smell like garlic all day after eating this, so be prepared (laughs). I thought I could eat a bit more, so I tried the double portion. It was a bit much, but the deliciousness made it easy to finish. I'm thinking of making it a weekly thing now, maybe pick a specific day each week (laughs).
