This shop opened a temporary store in Sapporo Esta basement. I was lured by the poster of crispy mille-feuille and decided to buy it! Wait, is it a sandwich? Indeed, the shop name does have "sandwich" written in small letters. Crispy? Well, the bread and cream didn't absorb enough moisture to make it crispy, it was actually soft. Where's the crispy part? And surprisingly small and expensive! I barely managed to compare it with my phone! The sandwich with Basque cheesecake was really delicious though. It would be better if they just kept it simple with mille-feuille and Basque cheesecake. I won't be purchasing it again.

I came across this shop on Instagram and it caught my attention. It's a 10-minute walk from Exit A1 of Toei Shinjuku Line's Akebonobashi Station. They have a wide variety of items, all colorful and visually appealing. I had a hard time deciding what to buy, but for my first visit today, I chose a sandwich with my favorite ingredients, Smoked Salmon and Avocado (480 yen), and a Matcha Daifuku with Melty Cheese (490 yen). The sandwich had plenty of smoked salmon and was delicious. The Matcha Daifuku was a unique combination of matcha-flavored Basque cheesecake, red bean paste, and mochi. It was my first time trying it and it was delicious. There are tables and chairs outside the shop. They accept credit card payments.

I visited during lunchtime. The interior of the shop is quite small, but there are various delicious-looking sandwiches that make it hard to choose. I tried the Ebi Katsu Sandwich for 480 yen, the Frilly Grilled Chicken Sandwich for 380 yen, and the Sakura Maritotsu for 390 yen (all including tax). The Ebi Katsu Sandwich had a tasty tartar sauce and plump shrimp, which was consistently delicious. The Frilly Chicken Sandwich used a sauce called "Frilly Sauce" from Hawaii, which was delicious as recommended by the staff. It's hard to describe the taste of the Frilly Sauce, but it was really good, especially when combined with the tomato sauce. I instantly liked it. All the sandwiches were packed with vegetables, which was nice. And the Sakura Maritotsu had a subtle cherry blossom flavor, making it a delightful treat. There are a few terrace seats available as well, so I would love to stop by again during a stroll. Thank you for the meal!

◆The Carrot & Tuna Salad Sandwich was a delightful dish, with crunchy carrots, lettuce, purple onions, and a tasty tuna salad sandwiched in between. However, the most impressive item was the photogenic Maritozzo Sakura. The scene of a single cherry blossom swaying in the peach-colored wind was simply adorable. It reminded me of a Japanese painting, and when I tasted it, I found the combination of sakura-flavored cream with matcha bean paste and white mochi to be exquisitely done with a touch of Japanese flair.◆Menu Items: Carrot & Tuna Salad Sandwich Half, Maritozzo Sakura (Lunch) 670 yen per person◆Enjoying this Restaurant:<Profile> This is a sandwich specialty shop with a unique lineup of combinations that are quite appealing. They also offer popular items like Maritozzo and fruit sandwiches. There is also a branch in Kichijoji called Merci Kichijoji store.◆Order Information: The Carrot & Tuna Salad Sandwich Half was 280 yen, and the Maritozzo Sakura was 390 yen.◆Source: Discovered on Instagram, thanks for the delicious meal!

I visited the sandwich shop "Merci," located halfway between Shinjuku Line Akebonobashi Station (exits A1 and A2) and Oedo Line Wakamatsu-Kawada Station (Kawada exit), about a 10-minute walk away. The access is not great, but the sandwiches are cheap and delicious, starting from the 200 yen range. Intrigued by the poster outside, I chose the Sakura-scented Maritozzo (390 yen), filled with plenty of cream, matcha bean paste, and shiratama. It was a spring-themed delight! I enjoyed it at the outdoor table on a warm day. Maritozzo is a Roman-born treat with cream sandwiched in bread, and this Japanese twist was a first for me. It was light and fluffy, and the combination with the bean paste was excellent. I'll definitely try it with matcha next time! I need to go back before the promotion ends.

* [Tokyo: Aobadai Merci] Stylish sandwich specialty shop ♡ Introducing the recently released spring limited edition products《Products》--------------------* Sakura Maritozzo 390 yen* Gorgonzola Potato Salad Sandwich 280 yen----------------------------Maritozzo is so popular right now, right? It was my first time trying it, and I loved it ❤️ haha. The fluffy brioche is filled with plenty of cherry blossom-scented cream, matcha paste, and white dumplings! The spring-like maritozzo cream is so light that even with this much filling, it doesn't feel heavy, so I feel like I could eat many of them haha. The slightly restrained sweetness of the cream and the slight bitterness of the matcha paste inside are irresistible! It looks cute and tastes delicious! It's a spring limited edition, and it seems to be a popular item, so it might sell out quickly, so I recommend going early. I only planned to get the maritozzo, but the sandwiches in the shop looked so delicious that I ended up buying an additional one. haha. They all looked delicious, and I had a hard time choosing, but I was drawn to the "Gorgonzola Potato Salad Sandwich" by its name! Because it's Gorgonzola! And potato salad! The best combination, right? haha. It was undeniably delicious. There were many other delicious-looking takeaway sandwiches and more in the shop, so since it's close to my home, I want to visit again!

When spring arrives, many cherry blossom sweets are released everywhere. This year, I tried the SAKURA with MATCHA (390 yen) for the first time. It's a sweet called Maritotto with a lot of cream sandwiched between brioche. The sweet and fluffy cherry blossom cream contains white balls and matcha bean paste. The combination of the fluffy cream that melts as soon as you put it in your mouth and the strong matcha bean paste is irresistible. It disappeared quickly, just like cherry blossoms falling. I could probably eat about 10 of them by myself. It's a seasonal limited edition, available until the end of April (note: the sales period may change). If you're interested, I recommend going as soon as possible to get it! Not just Maritotto, there are many takeout dishes available, so I want to visit again! It was a wonderful shop with lovely sweets that make you feel the season.

Spring has also arrived at the sandwich shop "Merci". Their spring limited edition item is the "Sakura Maritotto". Maritotto is quite popular right now, and while you often see regular cream maritotto, at Merci you can enjoy a cute pink maritotto. It has a nice cherry blossom scent, and not only cream but also matcha paste and shiratama are inside. The salted cherry blossom adds a salty touch as a lovely accent.

One day when my wife was working from home, I noticed a sandwich rescue offer on TABETE in the evening and decided to give it a try. The sandwich shop "Merci" in Akebonobashi had caught my eye before, but I had never actually gone in. This time, with the rescue offer available, I decided to seize the opportunity. The offer was for a set of handmade sandwiches, perfect for dinner or breakfast. As the evening grew darker, I arrived at the shop after 6 pm. Although the shop was already closed, I knocked on the small window next to it, and it opened. I mentioned the TABETE rescue, and a bag was handed to me. The bag was heavy, and when I got home and opened it, I found three sandwiches inside - one curry-flavored chicken and carrot sandwich, a double egg sandwich, and a salmon sandwich. The sandwiches were beautifully presented, with two types of bread - one with sesame seeds and one plain, both thickly sliced with generous fillings. They were delicious and satisfying, perfect for both dinner and breakfast. Each sandwich usually costs around 250 to 350 yen, so getting three for 500 yen was a great deal. Thanks to TABETE, I discovered the taste and style of the shop, making me more inclined to visit again in the future. It seems that the offers are only available on days when there is excess stock, which I appreciate. I look forward to trying another "winning" rescue offer on my next work-from-home day.

Recently, I heard about a shop that offers sandwiches with plenty of fillings and a satisfying bite on a TV show, so I decided to stop by Merci in Akebonobashi. As I made my way up Tachimachi Slope from the Sumiyoshi-cho intersection on Yasukuni Street, passing by the famous ramen shop Men'an Chitose, I soon spotted the shop on my left. The shop has a unique shape, sandwiched between the main street and a narrow back alley, with very little depth. It's quite impressive how they managed to fit a shop in such a small space. I had checked the shop's Instagram beforehand, but I couldn't find the latest menu, and it was mentioned that there might be a wait of about 10 minutes as they start making the sandwiches after you order. I tried contacting the shop via Instagram the day before to inquire about the latest menu and reservation orders, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a response before I left. So, I had to order directly at the shop. I planned to visit Marutomi for their delicious nori bento at 12 o'clock, so I arrived at Merci about 15 minutes before that. The shop opens at 11 o'clock, so it had been almost an hour since they opened, but when I entered, the basket for sandwiches was empty. Two young female staff members in masks were preparing sandwiches in the small kitchen behind the counter, where the finished sandwiches were piled up. The staff member in front seemed to have noticed me entering but didn't greet me or acknowledge me for a while. When she finally turned towards me, I pointed to the empty basket and asked if the sandwiches listed there were available. She confirmed, so I quickly decided on the "Egg Sandwich for Egg Lovers" and the "Gorgonzola Potato Salad Sandwich," both in half size for 280 yen each. Luckily, the sandwiches were already prepared and waiting on the counter, so I didn't have to wait. While paying, I asked the staff member if she had seen my inquiry about the latest menu and reservation orders on Instagram, but her response was indifferent. She did include a takeout menu printed on a paper, similar to the menu board outside, with my sandwiches in a plastic bag. However, when I looked at the menu later, it had completely different sandwich options and prices ranging from 880 to 1,180 yen, three to four times the price of the half-sized sandwiches I purchased. This was not helpful at all and could give the wrong impression to customers. After picking up my reserved nori bento from Marutomi and returning to my workplace, I first enjoyed the nori bento before trying the sandwiches from Merci. The Egg Sandwich for Egg Lovers consisted of one boiled egg cut in half and further sliced vertically, sandwiched between black sesame seed bread. The seasoning was minimal, with a light sprinkling of black pepper and a thin spread of mayo-like sauce, focusing mainly on the boiled egg. The volume of filling was impressive, perfect for egg lovers, but the bread was slightly dry and hard. The Gorgonzola Potato Salad Sandwich was made with roughly mashed boiled potatoes mixed with Gorgonzola cheese.

The restaurant seems to have been renewed on Tabelog, but I don't see much change. The place is small, mainly for takeout, and they also offer UberEats. I ordered Fried Potato M (250 yen), Egg Salad Sandwich for Egg Lovers (560 yen), and Carrot & Tuna Salad Sandwich (560 yen). The sandwiches looked great and were quite filling. The Egg Salad Sandwich had two boiled eggs with a light mayo, a bit hard to eat but perfect for egg lovers. Personally, I prefer a bit more mayo. The Carrot & Tuna sandwich had a generous amount of filling, with finely chopped carrots and a hint of cumin. It was more salad-like with a strong carrot texture. The sandwiches were visually appealing and had a good amount of filling. They offer a variety of menu items like curry, and I will definitely be a repeat customer since it's close to my home. I hope they do well since there aren't many dining options in the area.

I went to a bread festival. It was held from 3/3 to 3/5. I didn't have any particular purpose, so I joined the free second part. Well, there were so many people that I only managed to visit 2 places. The second place was a sandwich shop called "Mreci" located about 10 minutes from Aobadai. Just when I was about to meet the products, the BLT sandwich was sold out. What a shame. Purchased items (including tax): - Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich: 590 yen - Mille-feuille: 490 yen Tasting time!! - Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Crunchy lettuce was plentiful and delicious. Well, it was just average. - Mille-feuille: A concept of turning mille-feuille into a sandwich. The mille-feuille was crispy and tasty. Sorry, I prefer eating the bread and mille-feuille separately. I spent more time watching the crowd than looking at the bread. Oh, I missed the booth of Tabelog. Haha. Thank you for the meal.

This is a sandwich shop in Ichigaya-Daitamachi that I've been curious about for a while. I had never been to the shop before, but this day I woke up in the afternoon and felt like having a light sandwich, so I decided to order a BLT sandwich for delivery from their menu. The sandwich was colorful with neatly stacked tomatoes, bacon, purple cabbage, lettuce, and egg. The seasoning of the aurora sauce was well-balanced. I also got a side of potato fries, which satisfied my hunger and made for a perfect lunch set.

I'm not sure if it's the same as a real store, but I used a certain delivery site and the store name was "Hawaiian Loco Moco Cafe Frifri Sauce Shinjuku Akebono." It seems like a trendy sandwich shop. I ordered the Frifri Chicken Loco Moco for 1180 yen. The Frifri sauce is used in Hawaiian local food "Frifri Chicken," and it's a sweet and savory sauce similar to teriyaki sauce. It doesn't seem very healthy, but it's a unique way to experience a taste of Hawaii.

I have never been to the store, but I often order from Uber Eats. I really like their sandwiches, the sauce is delicious. The meat is also good. And the French fries are great! I think it's the best, but maybe the reason why the review score is not that high is because of the store's atmosphere or something like that?

A popular sandwich shop known for their high-volume, cute sandwich creations. ☑️Maritozzo Cherry Blossom ¥390 A maritozzo filled with cherry blossom flavor. I went there, or rather, ordered through Uber, and I was very satisfied with both the portion and taste. The sandwich had plenty of vegetables, cut into small, easy-to-eat pieces, which is great for women. The meat patty was delicious, and the egg sandwiched in was also quite tasty. I would like to try ordering a sandwich that focuses on the egg next time.
