Hello. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to join a dinner party at Araiya in Shibuya at the last minute. The event started at 8:30 pm on a weekday, and I decided to participate. Thank you so much for letting me join (>人<;) I realized it had been a long time since I had eaten yakiniku... maybe about 10 years ago at a company drinking party. Recently, there have been more places where you can enjoy yakiniku alone, but at my age, I haven't felt like eating a lot of meat, so I've been avoiding it ( ̄▽ ̄;) I do like yakiniku, and I often watch Terumoto Jimon's refusal to be interviewed on TV. Come to think of it, I remember hearing about this place before!! And now I ended up visiting it unexpectedly ( ゚д゚) The restaurant is a hidden gem called Araiya, a popular yakiniku restaurant in Shibuya, which opened a private rental-only store on the second floor last August. It seems like they only host one group per day. I was really surprised to find myself here (^◇^;) The owner trained at the prestigious horumon restaurant Yamadaya, Arai Hideki. Honestly, I've never heard of Yamadaya before. Sorry about that... So, I finished work around 7 pm and headed to Shibuya Station. I've never walked around Shibuya at night, so I left home a little early. I arrived after a few minutes' walk from Exit A0. The restaurant was tucked away in a narrow alley. It had a cozy atmosphere ( ̄◇ ̄;) I nervously climbed the stairs and entered the restaurant, which had a luxurious feel despite its small size with only 12 seats. First, I greeted everyone else. I felt really out of place... well, I'll just enjoy myselfヾ(๑╹◡╹)ノ" Today's course at Araiya includes a nice all-you-can-drink option. It's a horumon specialty store, so the course is reasonably priced at 11,000 yen... I think... First, I cheered with a beer after work!! A beer after work always tastes good!! Now, I'm looking forward to trying the yakiniku!! Usually, I would write about the food, but I was too nervous as a drinker and struggled to take photos (><) However, the thick-cut gyutan, harami, zabuton, and mapo tofu were all really delicious!! Fortunately, the gentleman next to me was very knowledgeable about yakiniku and pretty much grilled the meat himself(╹◡╹)♡ I realized that the way you grill the meat can make or break it, so grilling skills are essential for enjoying yakiniku ( ゚д゚) I also enjoyed beers, lemon sours, red wine, etc., trying not to get too drunk, but I had a great time drinking them d( ̄ ̄) I had fun chatting with everyone who attended. I learned a lot about various restaurants and it was a great experience_φ(・_・ I was really impressed!! Good meat is really delicious!! I've been admiring it on TV and videos, but actually eating it exceeded my expectations ( ゚д゚) The thick-cut gyutan was especially delicious, crispy, tender, and creamy!! I'm so glad I decided to participate!! If there's an opportunity in the future, I'd love to join another dinner party (>人<;)
