Tora no Ana Ebisu A la carte. Tora no Ana. Toraketsu. Good harami and tongue. The "DAMENINGENSET" is addictive. I can hear Li Chao's voice. I wish the hole would swallow me, if I was hungry. About 8,000 yen. About 5 minutes walk from Ebisu station.

Tora no Ana Ebisu Yakiniku Situation is recommended for a drinking party with yakiniku lovers. It's best to go with 4 people or more as the portions are generous. Since reservations are said to be difficult to get, it's recommended to plan ahead and make a reservation early. Must-order menu items include Harami and the Roast was also amazing! I've been really hooked on it lately! Also, the tongue and intestines sashimi were delicious! Hormones at Tora no Ana are not a must, but we didn't regret ordering everything we did. Since the portions are large, ordering 2 servings of each item should be enough for two people. I wanted to try the bibimbap-style dish too. Definitely going back again! As for drinks, they serve draft beer (690 yen) and you can also get Kinmugi Premol for 420 yen. The beer goes really well with the meat, so I had two glasses! Oh, they also have Makgeolli (840 yen) and a Makgeolli bottle (2,940 yen), but Makgeolli tends to be expensive when you drink it at a restaurant. I switched to a lemon sour (530 yen) afterwards! Lemon sour goes well with yakiniku when you want something refreshing. Surprisingly, they also have a wine list, so you can enjoy yakiniku with wine too. This is my fourth time at Toranoana, and this time the spiciness is back after a long time. I wanted to taste this heat. The spiciness is in katakana, but all the meats are consistently delicious. The tongue is also the best. It's full of things I love, so I'm happy!! I want to go again soon. It's my favorite place, haha.

A hidden gem in Ebisu, this restaurant is located in between Hiroo and Ebisu. Their grilled meat cooked on a charcoal grill is truly delicious! Highly recommended dishes include stir-fried pea shoots, tongue, harami (skirt steak), and yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). You can't go wrong with any of their menu items! This was my second time visiting. Since there was only one staff member, it was a bit challenging to time our orders, but the meat was really delicious! The tongue, harami, kalbi, loin, yukhoe, and garlic soy sauce marinated meat were all fresh and the recommended kalbi was not too fatty, making it easy to eat! If you feel like having yakiniku in Ebisu, I would like to come here.

A slightly eclectic yakiniku restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station West Exit. I made a reservation for a Saturday night and there were a few empty seats. This restaurant is known for its thickly sliced and satisfying Harami. The marinade has a Korean influence, so it has a strong garlic flavor. All the cuts are relatively large and satisfying, making you feel like you're really eating meat. Here are my favorite dishes: Grilled Onion Salt Harami for 1,050 yen - The crunchy texture of the Harami and the onion salt are delicious. Upper Harami with sauce for 1,790 yen - Thickly sliced tender Harami with a flavorful sauce. All the dishes were delicious without any disappointments. I thought it was a good yakiniku restaurant worth trying at least once. Thank you for the meal.

A yakiniku restaurant that I want to visit not just every month, but several times a month. It's casual, but serves delicious food. I usually just eat grilled meat, but this time I decided to try some dishes like pig's feet and beef tendon stew. The pig's feet are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside when slightly grilled. The classic salted harami is also delicious as always. Thank you for the meal!

I made a reservation the day before, but only 6:00 PM was available! The seats are limited to 2 hours. It's about a 10-minute walk from the station. I ordered a kimchi assortment, grilled liver sashimi, special tongue, ichibo, Hida beef skirt steak (salt), comekami, hormone assortment, and the "Damaged Person Set." The special tongue was served as sashimi, and although it wasn't thick, the fat was very sweet, almost milky in flavor. The Hida beef skirt steak was so fatty that it melted in my mouth. The Kaenomi was full of flavor the more you chewed, and I'm glad I ordered it as it was a must-try item. The famous "Damaged Person Set" comes with unlimited rice. I was unsure when to order it, but the deliciousness made it easy to eat no matter how full I was, so you can order it whenever. The Chanja has a strong flavor, so you might not need it. While the shop is known for its skirt steak, all the meats were really delicious. The speed of serving the ordered items was unbelievably fast and amazing! The draft beer is so cold that it's almost like a sherbet. The owner may seem unfriendly, but if you ask about how to cook or eat, they will kindly teach you. The atmosphere is also very nice, so it's a shop I'd like to visit again!

The harami is famous, so I tried the Hida beef with salt seasoning this time. Overall, the meat was seasoned with salt, which I personally found to be a downside. Some reviews mention that the cost performance is good, but I think the prices are average. Maybe this review is from a while ago. We had 2 drinks each and the total bill was ¥18,000 for two people. Personally, I enjoyed the harami, sirloin, akasen, and yukkejang kuppe.

I was recommended by an acquaintance to try the delicious harami at Toranoana, so I decided to visit the restaurant! It's quite a walk from the station. I didn't make a reservation, but luckily there were seats available since I went later in the evening. This is a popular spot, so it's better to make a reservation. I ordered the following dishes: beef tongue, salted liver, grilled harami, karubi (recommended for the day), and salad. The beef tongue was crispy and flavorful with a nice amount of fat. Of course, the harami was delicious as well, but the highlight of the day was definitely the beef tongue. It was crispy and reasonably priced. Thank you for the meal.

A pioneer in spreading the love for harami (skirt steak) in Tokyo! This place, known for overturning the traditional concept of yakiniku, is a legend in the world of grilled meat! [Store Overview] Located about a 10-minute walk from Ebisu towards Hiroo, you'll find Toranoana, the restaurant credited with popularizing harami. Owned by Shin Yongho, there are also affiliated establishments like "Ushitora," a steakhouse in Naka-Meguro that is by invitation only, and "Roast Horse," a members-only horse meat specialty restaurant in Hiroo, which collaborates with "Toraba" on an invitation basis. "Toraba" was renovated at the end of 2020 and has since reopened as "Toranoana Aobadai" (by invitation?). [Dining Experience] During my visit, the premium harami (¥1000 per piece) and the popular rice cake skewers were unfortunately sold out by 5 pm, likely due to a large group the previous day. Overall, the bold and flavorful seasoning was irresistible! Particularly, the saltiness of the upper tongue and the garlicky richness of the lower tongue were amazing! Pairing the lower tongue with highball seems like a match made in heaven! While the premium harami was unavailable, the harami from Hida beef was still satisfying, offering a rich umami and juiciness. At around ¥2000 for 6 pieces, the cost performance seems good for this quality. And then there's the trendy "Damaged Person Set" that includes harami sauce, along with sesame, changja, Korean seaweed, and a special sauce to eat with rice, a term coined by someone unknown. Personally, just the special sauce, Korean seaweed, and harami sauce were enough to satisfy me! The spicy shimacho was also ordered, but it wasn't as spicy as expected. When I asked if they could make it spicier, they brought out a house-made super spicy powder! It was fantastic! It made me sweat but in a good way, not overwhelmingly spicy but just the right balance of heat and flavor! I would definitely order it again! It has been a while since I visited Toranoana. I wanted to have the special Harami and Komakami skewers set, but unfortunately they were not available today. They had been eaten by a group reservation the day before and only course menu items were left. I ended up ordering the following items and finished eating in about an hour: - Beef heart sashimi - Upper tongue - Beef tendon - Hida beef Harami The beef Harami was delicious, better grilled than in a hot pot. The regular sirloin was also very tasty. A good restaurant is one where the regular sirloin is delicious. I also tried the "Damaged Person Set" for the first time, which included marinated Harami, changja, seaweed, perilla, ultimate sauce, and rice. I wasn't sure when to use the perilla. I think the marinated Harami, rice, and changja were enough. I asked for the tetchan to be made spicy, but it still wasn't enough so I added chili powder. The Harami is so delicious. I still want to eat the special Harami and Komakami skewers. I had about 1-2 drinks and the total cost was around 6000 yen.

Budget: 6000 yen. I wanted to try the special selection Harami salt and Komekami skewers, but they were not available. I went there around 5 pm, but it seems like they sold out the day before. The regular Harami was okay, but I really wanted to try the big one for a special experience. Otherwise, it's just average. The Harami with sauce was good, the upper tongue with salt was strong, the lower tongue was crispy. The heart sashimi, Hida beef Harami, sirloin, and Tetchan were all decent. The "Damaged Person Set" includes rice, Harami with sauce, Changja, perilla leaves, seaweed, and ultimate sauce. Changja and perilla leaves are unnecessary, and seaweed is also not needed. Just eat the rice with sauce and Harami, and you'll finish the rice in no time.

When I went to Toranoana after a long time, the staff treated me like it was our first meeting, so they probably forgot my face haha. Either that or their usual extreme tsundere attitude was even more pronounced. There was no special Harami that day, but that can't be helped. I wish I could go after knowing there's special Harami, but that's an impossible wish.

I visited a famous hormone restaurant in Ebisu, called Toranoana. What I highly recommend trying here is the Harami and Dameman Set! There are two types of Harami, regular and Hida beef Harami, so be sure to compare them! The regular Harami is meaty and delicious, but the Hida beef Harami takes it to the next level with added juiciness from the fat. The taste varies depending on whether you choose the sauce or salt, so be sure to try both! Also, the Comekami is a must-try! The square block of meat skewered on a stick transforms into a flavorful meat as you chew, with a BBQ-like taste and a seasoning of salt and pepper that I love! Lastly, try the Dameman Set. It's an unofficial name, but it's a combination of your favorite meat, rice, Korean seaweed, and pickles with a special sauce. It's a mix-and-match dish that you can enjoy by writing on rice, wrapping it in seaweed, or anything you like! You can also enjoy a Korean-style barbecue with Comtan soup. The hormone and sashimi dishes are incredibly delicious, so be sure to order the Harami, Yukke, and sashimi. Unbeatable hormone! The special tongue is the best! A restaurant that I really don't want to tell anyone about. My favorite yakiniku restaurant. The special tongue is worth the 3000 yen, it's the best. I went at 5 pm and was shocked to find out that the upper harami was sold out. But the Hida harami for 2400 yen was available, so I ordered both salt and sauce, and the salt was definitely better. It was delicious. The grilled liver sashimi was also amazing. My wife was impressed by the grilled liver sashimi. I will definitely go back soon.

Starting with thick tongue, the impactful harami makes an appearance. First, enjoy it as it is, then with salt, and then with grated garlic for a change in taste. Finally, with garlic pickles for the climax. The following kalbi was also amazing. The garlic soup and cold noodles were the perfect finish. It was incredible.

I was taken to this restaurant by someone who has been going there for almost 30 years. We had fresh intestines, heart, tripe, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), grilled liver, and other grilled dishes. The intestines near the cecum and tripe were especially delicious. The hot pot with hormone (near the cecum) and tripe was amazing. The noodles used for the final dish were cold noodles. Overall, it was fantastic. This is the kind of hot pot I want to eat before I die.笑

Following a winter horumon hot pot event, this was our second visit to the restaurant. [Menu Highlights] - Grilled Liver (1,000 yen) - Yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare) Grilled (1,200 yen) - Special Tongue (3,000 yen) - Top Tongue with Salt (1,600 yen) - Tongue Sujji (1,100 yen) - Top Sirloin (1,800 yen) - Hida Beef Harami (2,400 yen) We visited with the intention of trying the thick-cut Harami, but it was sold out due to our late arrival. Instead, we tried the Hida Beef Harami, which was more similar to Sagari than Harami.
