About a 3-minute walk from Ikejiri Ohashi Station East Exit. Inside the restaurant, there are only 14 counter seats, allowing the owner, Tetchan, and staff to provide attentive service to customers. The close interaction results in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, different from typical yakiniku restaurants. At this place, the meat is cut by Tetchan upon order to maintain its freshness, and customers can watch this process from the counter, adding to the unique experience. The nostalgic atmosphere is enhanced by the Showa era vibes from the background music featuring Osaki and Tube, as well as retro posters. The posters even feature Tetchan's playful and quirky expressions, adding to the charm. The staff, just like the owner, are all cheerful and fun, making interactions with them an enjoyable part of the dining experience. As for the meat, I tried the tongue and offal dishes, both offering generous portions and high quality for their prices. In particular, the beef offal with grated radish was incredibly delicious, making me wish for a yakiniku place like this in my neighborhood. The dishes I tried that day included kimchi assortment, Tetchan cabbage with salted kelp, Paripi (crispy bell peppers) and simmered beef tongue, hot beef tongue, upper skirt steak, beef tendon, and Tetchan ramen as well as beef tongue curry. The meal was satisfying and reasonably priced, making it a great option for yakiniku lovers. The attentive service from Tetchan, from start to finish, truly sets this place apart, and it's no wonder it's beloved by the locals.
