The cold uni pasta was recommended, so I ordered extra uni. I also ordered a mixed appetizer plate. It was easy to eat and perfect for summer. The flavors were delicious. I added panna cotta for dessert. Overall, I was very satisfied with the restaurant. However, there was a group of people making a lot of noise, but that may have just been a one-time thing.

On a certain holiday, I visited an Italian chain restaurant located in the Duo area of Shin-Sapporo Station for lunch, which I had been putting off for a while. The restaurant seemed quite spacious with many partitions, making it hard to see the back, and it was constantly filled with customers since opening, especially on holidays when reservations are common. The background music playing was rhythmic Western music. Looking at the menu again, I realized that it had been a long time since I last visited a branch of this chain, so I decided to try something new with a half-and-half pizza called "Margherita & Prawn-filled Genovese Pizza (1518 yen)." Taking a bite... The crust was thin but not too thin, with a good balance of thickness and elasticity, making it a better texture for the toppings this time. The flavor was not bad either, made with a blend of Hokkaido-grown wheat varieties "Kitahonami" and "Yumechikara." The toppings included mascarpone from Hidaka and mozzarella cheese from Hidaka Milk Industry. The mozzarella was slightly soft but had a decent taste, while the gentle acidity of the tomato sauce with basil leaves was subtle, and the oil was a bit excessive, soaking into the crust and overpowering the flavors. Next, the Genovese side had one lightly salted boiled shrimp on each slice, blending well with the Genovese flavor and a hint of garlic and oil, along with a touch of acidity from the small tomatoes. Overall, the dish was not bad, but when compared to pizzas from more specialized restaurants, it fell slightly short. Nevertheless, it would be a great choice for a casual meal with friends. The portion was just right. It had plenty of vegetables and chicken. The taste was not particularly distinctive, but it was a safe and satisfying choice for anyone. The salad also had a fresh taste. It's a place where you can eat quickly but also linger a bit, making it versatile for various purposes.

When it comes to dinner at night, I usually only go to izakayas, but sometimes I go to an Italian restaurant directly connected to Shin-Sapporo Station. We ordered pizza, salad, beer, croquettes, wine, and other things we wanted to eat, and the total came to just over 5,000 yen for two people. It's great value for being able to eat a lot and drink alcohol at this price.

"Cucina" Sapporo, there are three of us. Today we did various procedures but couldn't finish them. I am leaving tomorrow, so the remaining work will be done by Yome-san and another person. For dinner, we went to Shin Sapporo. The first place was a yakiniku restaurant, where we tried not to overeat. The second place was an Italian restaurant. I had beer, Yome-san had wine, and the other person had ginger ale. The appetizer platter at the Italian restaurant was ordered by the other two. They always say "looks delicious" no matter what. I can't understand why they find it delicious. The menu photos are completely different from reality. I couldn't bring myself to order anything. Yome-san said the tamagoyaki was delicious, but I couldn't tell. The whelk ajillo was small and expensive. It was soft, but lacked garlic and chili flavor, and was too bland. The bread was also disappointing. The lasagna was cheap and tasteless. It was more expensive than Saizeriya but tasted worse. This place is a complete letdown.

On July 3, 2022, I decided to revisit Shin-Sapporo. The main purpose was for my wife to go shopping, but she really wanted to eat the sea urchin pasta here, so we decided to have lunch here. We went to the Italian restaurant Cucina Shin-Sapporo duo branch for the second time. I remember coming here before with a similar request for sea urchin pasta, but I ended up eating something else (laughs). As we entered the restaurant, it wasn't too crowded and we were seated promptly. The menu prominently featured the sea urchin pasta, which my wife had decided to eat, but I chose something different. The sea urchin pasta is served cold, and I'm not a big fan of it. So, I ended up ordering the "Homemade Meat Sauce made with 100% Hokkaido beef." Oh, my wife went for the double sea urchin pasta (laughs). After a wait of about 10 minutes, the pasta arrived. The double sea urchin pasta had quite a generous portion! The meat sauce looked delicious too. Let's dig in. I took a bite after mixing the sauce and pasta well. Oh, this is how it tastes - a meat sauce with a strong acidity and bitterness, a tight and flavorful taste. It has the aroma and umami of beef. The pasta itself was thinner than I expected, and lacked a bit of chewiness, which was a bit disappointing. However, the quantity was not enough - because we often use Tsurinori (app to order food) - unless you order the large portion, it's not satisfying at all. My wife seemed very satisfied with the sea urchin pasta, eating it with delight. I tried a little and the sea urchin itself tasted really good, fresh and high quality. But the cold pasta was quite thin, and I felt that I couldn't be satisfied with it. Well, as long as my wife is happy, that's fine. We quickly finished eating, and the bill came to over 4,000 yen (^^;) I knew it would be expensive, but I feel like the satisfaction and the price don't quite match. I was still hungry, and I wanted to eat more somewhere else, but since we were planning to get dinner in Shin-Sapporo too, I decided to buy a bit more for dinner instead (laughs). It's a nice place to visit occasionally, but personally, I don't think I'll revisit on my own. But it was definitely delicious! Thank you for the meal♪

It's a Cucina in Shin-Sapporo. I think it's a chain restaurant that never disappoints. It's more stable than other Cucinas. The menu is exactly the same as the actual dishes, and the service is good. It can get crowded at times, but if you go at a slightly different time, you can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. This time, the asparagus risotto was delicious.

I ordered an assortment of Italian olives for 390 yen, a salad of prosciutto and colorful vegetables for 590 yen, a Hokkaido Margherita pizza for 690 yen, a special risotto with rich cheese for 1,090 yen, Affogato with angel wings for 490 yen, homemade tiramisu for 590 yen, 2 orange juices for 300 yen each, draft sparkling wine for 450 yen, house wine for 420 yen, and mango sangria for 500 yen. The total bill was 6,391 yen. I had some business at school and decided to have an early dinner on my way back. There was a good value course for two people without a reservation, but I wasn't in the mood for pasta, and I don't drink coffee or tea. So, I let my daughter choose what she wanted to eat. The two-person table was compact, so we had to clear the dishes after each one to make space for the next. However, the service was excellent, and we were able to enjoy our meal at our own pace without any congestion on the table. The menu was available through a QR code, but there were physical menus as well. I preferred using the iPad as it was easier to read and more convenient than on a small smartphone screen. While enjoying the sparkling wine with olives, we ordered a small size salad and Margherita pizza, which were just the right portions for when you want to try various dishes. The risotto had a rich cheese aroma but was not too salty, making it easy to eat. Despite feeling full, my daughter insisted on having dessert, and the tiramisu was larger than expected, which made her happy. It was light and fluffy, melting in the mouth. The Affogato with cotton candy "angel wings" was a delightful treat. When espresso was poured over it, the cotton candy disappeared like magic, blending the sweetness and bitterness with the vanilla ice cream. It was a well-balanced and elegant flavor. As a duo not looking for a heavy meal, we were satisfied with the reasonably priced individual items on the menu. Thank you for the delicious meal.

While other shops were quiet, this restaurant was quite busy. It's a reliable trattoria. I've been here quite a few times and the service from the staff is usually fantastic. It was just okay this time. I ordered Pasta Set A. The pasta had shredded purple cabbage on top, which was very innovative.

Of course, they still have traditional menus available. I ordered the pasta set with B spaghetti Pesca Tolarosso. I always thought Pesca Tolarosso could only be ordered as a single item, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it included in the set. The set came with salad and dessert for 1040 yen (excluding tax). It was really delicious. And of course, the Margherita pizza never disappoints. It's so delicious! They even have drinkable pizza!

I stayed at a hotel with the Sapporo Summer Discount and received a Smile Coupon. Sapporo is doing well. I received a 3000 yen coupon for shopping, so I decided to spend 6000 yen for my husband and myself. There are some places in Shin-Sapporo where I can use it, and I found a place where I could use it easily. They had a sign saying "Smile Coupon accepted" at the entrance, which made it easy to enter. I decided to try their recommended dish, the cold spaghetti with sea urchin. I planned to spend around 2000 yen, but the spaghetti alone cost 1639 yen. The restaurant uses local ingredients and the staff were friendly and efficient. The spaghetti had just the right amount of saltiness, which made it delicious. They were also taking proper COVID-19 precautions, as they checked my temperature before entering the restaurant.

"Mia Boca" and "Mia Angela" are becoming more common as restaurant names, while the name "Cucina" is becoming less common. However, for those who grew up in Sapporo during the Showa era, the name "Cucina" is more familiar. I had pasta lunch at "Cucina" in Shin-Sapporo after a long time, and it tasted even better than before. The set included tomato-based pasta, salad, dessert, focaccia, and an egg dish (with extra noodles) for around 1,800 yen. I also ordered the recently popular "Shimokawa 60" enzyme egg Frittata from Abe Poultry Farm as an additional egg dish (Italian-style omelette for 429 yen).
