This place has great meat... You can eat good meat here... My family decided to go out for a meal together and we ended up at a yakiniku restaurant. It seems that a new branch opened in Ikebukuro around December, so it's still a new store. It used to be a Genghis Khan restaurant before. Genghis Khan to yakiniku. Hmm, I see. I wonder if they had ventilation equipment. Well, leaving that aside, it's quite impressive that they can open a new store at this time, and there are other branches as well, so it must be a good and popular restaurant. We decided to eat here. The seating is a bit tight for four people, but it's spacious for two. We gather around a small grill for four people. We decided not to go for the lunch special and ordered a la carte. The tongue assortment includes thick tongue, thin tongue, and tongue slices, and they are all delicious and sweet! The thick tongue has a good texture and a satisfying chew. The tongue slices are tender and melt in your mouth! And the harami (skirt steak) is too tender. It's a sinful texture. When you chew it, the umami of the meat overflows. The seared loin. You just quickly sear the meat, lightly sprinkle with salt, and when you put it in your mouth, the meat disappears. Ah, this is good meat. It melts and is sweet. The meat disappears, releasing the flavor of the meat in your mouth. The hormone assortment. I've only had hormone at cheap places before, but there's something different about this! I don't know what this gray one is, but the texture is delicious! The sauce is also tasty! The seared yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare) is mixed with egg to make it creamy and soft, and it's incredibly delicious. It's seared, but it feels like you're eating raw meat. Delicious. This restaurant serves fresh meat that is hand-cut and never frozen. We ordered a la carte, including kimchi, lettuce, and miso meat with thick-cut tongue salt topped with green onions. We also ordered additional tongue salt. Since the upper harami was out of stock, we ordered harami instead. We were advised to cook it rare, so we paid attention to the cooking. We enjoyed it with a large bowl of rice. We also ordered additional striped chicken gizzards. The beef tartare soup with yukhoe was excellent.

Today's mood is to wander around Ikebukuro, and I ended up at Yakiniku Tetsu. With a rating of 3.34 on Tabelog, their specialty is the thick-cut tongue salt bowl, which was absolutely delicious. The meat was so thick, yet tender, that you don't even need to chew. I also enjoyed the Kalbi and the assorted skewers, especially when dipped in egg. They have a great selection of craft beers, making it hard to choose. They have private rooms available, but reservations are recommended. If you're craving delicious thick-cut tongue salt, I highly recommend this place. Thick-cut tongue salt is priced at 2480 yen, while thin-cut tongue salt is 1540 yen. I had a platter of assorted meats, including premium kalbi, premium harami, and seared roast beef! It was incredibly delicious, and the staff were very friendly. However, it was hot (T . T) The air conditioning seemed to be malfunctioning, and even with a fan, it was just too hot. Unfortunately, we had to leave before finishing. It would have been better if it was winter. The meat was really delicious♪

I was invited by a friend who loves yakiniku to this restaurant. It's conveniently located near Ikebukuro, which is great! We started with a toast with a beer for ¥1100, and then ordered the luxurious course for ¥7150. 1. Assorted Namul 2. Assorted Kimchi 3. Tetsu Salad We were served with a variety of Namul and Kimchi, along with a fresh salad. It was nice to have a lot of vegetables to enjoy. 4. Rice Surprisingly, rice was served at this point! When you choose the course, you can also choose the size of the rice - large, medium, or small. We both opted for small (watching our calories), but even the small portion was quite substantial! So, if you're not a big eater, the small size should be enough. 5. Thick-cut Tongue Salt, Fillet Lately, I've been seeing thick-cut tongue salt on menus quite often. Tongue is my favorite. The heat is strong, so it's best to lightly cook it on the outer edges to the middle. 6. Sangchu It was nice to have plenty of vegetables served, and I love Sangchu. I prefer leafy greens over white rice with yakiniku - maybe because I enjoy drinking alcohol! (My friend, who ate plenty of white rice with yakiniku, seemed very satisfied!) 7. Upper Kalbi 8. Upper Loin 9. Harami Salt 10. Today's Hormone Assortment I don't usually go out of my way to eat hormone, so it was a treat to have it again. The spicy and delicious sauce has an addictive flavor. 11. Dessert For dessert, we had a choice of several ice cream flavors, and I chose vanilla while my companion chose matcha. The rich vanilla was superb. We finished off with a Sato no Kuro shochu for ¥880. Perhaps it was because it was a Friday night, but the restaurant was almost full from before 7 pm, and it seemed to have a fast turnover. Reservations are definitely necessary! I had a luxurious course meal. Kimchi assortment, Namul assortment, and salad with crunchy vegetables are gentle on the empty stomach. Thickly sliced tongue fillet has a rich flavor that spreads in the mouth. Top loin, top kalbi, and harami salt are juicy and overflow with fat. They are very delicious when wrapped in Sanchu! Hormone assortment has spiciness and a crunchy texture with accents. You can choose from four types of ice cream, and I chose matcha! Thank you for the meal!

I tried their most popular "Luxury Course" this time. The appetizers, including a selection of kimchi and namul, as well as a salad, were perfect. The Senmai (beef intestine) sashimi served with vinegar miso and sesame oil was delicious. For the main course, we had thick-cut tongue salt and salt harami. The tongue was tender and juicy, while the harami had a substantial thickness and was amazing when eaten on the rice. Next came a platter of "Upper Kalbi," "Upper Loin," and "Filet." The kalbi had a good amount of marbling, with a sweet fat that spread throughout the mouth. Even if you're not a fan of fatty meat, you can enjoy the sweetness of the meat with some lettuce. The upper loin was recommended to be lightly seared, and it was also delicious. I thought it would be great with some egg mixed in. The quality of the filet was also excellent. It was carefully cooked by searing the sides thoroughly. After cooking, you can cut it to your preferred size with scissors. Lastly, we had a platter of hormone. It is located about a 7-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. When I visited around 8 pm, the seats were mostly filled with couples, as it seems to be a popular restaurant in Ikebukuro where even celebrities visit. I opted for the course menu on that day. The course comes with rice, and you can choose the size. The spicy kimchi paired well with the rice! The namul included dried radish, komatsuna greens, fiddlehead ferns, and bean sprouts. The first meat dish that arrived was "thick-cut tongue & salted belly"! The meat was tender and full of flavor. This was followed by a refreshing salad with a distinctive dressing and raw liver sashimi. The sashimi was seasoned with sesame oil and salt, perfect with drinks. Next came "fillet, premium kalbi, premium loin". The appearance alone was appetizing. The kalbi had a rich fat content, the fillet was thick and satisfying, and the loin had just the right amount of fat. The final meat dish was "striped neck, cobukuro, and tripe". The tripe was finely cut and had a great texture, very delicious. The interior of the restaurant had signed decorations and a modern black-themed atmosphere. It was stylish yet cozy and welcoming, making it a very comfortable place to dine. It's a great choice for when you want to enjoy yakiniku without feeling too formal. I ended the meal with warm tea and ice cream. This restaurant is perfect for a date, and I definitely want to come back!

Colleague gathering at a restaurant in Ikebukuro. We wanted to eat yakiniku, so we searched for a restaurant on Tabelog in advance. After checking the reviews and finding out that we could make a reservation online, we decided to book a table at this restaurant. It is located in a dining area just past the East exit of Ikebukuro, on the outskirts. The place has a stylish and hidden gem-like atmosphere. The interior is a bit moody and adult-like, with only table seating available. Since we had made a reservation, we were promptly seated. We started with draft beer and then ordered various meats. Although there wasn't anything special, one of my colleagues wanted to try the "Mozzarella Assortment" so we ordered it. The assortment includes Chateaubriand, thick Harami, and thick tongue base. However, on that day, they were out of thick Harami so it was replaced with sirloin steak. We grilled the three types of meat and called the staff to cut them after searing them to a certain extent. The thick tongue base sizzled with fat when grilled. It was more tender than chewy, with a slightly strange taste due to it being tongue. The Chateaubriand had a refined marbling, with a sweet taste of fat. The sirloin steak was tender, with the umami of lean meat. The quality of the meat was unquestionably good, but because they grill the pieces and then cut them, it felt more like eating steak than yakiniku. We also ordered additional items like premium liver, Harami, and upper mino, which were more like traditional yakiniku. We enjoyed some makgeolli in between. The staff, a young man, provided good service. The meat quality was consistently good. We ended up spending a bit more due to ordering an expensive set, but if you choose your menu items carefully, it's not a bad cost-performance ratio. The atmosphere is nice, and you can choose how to enjoy the restaurant depending on your needs.

The sauce was delicious, and the meat was tender and flavorful, perfect with rice. The meat wasn't too fatty, just right. Lastly, we had a hormone assortment of Shimacho, Tansaki, and Gatsu. They all looked fresh and were seasoned with a spicy flavor. The Shimacho had a great umami taste from the fat, the Tansaki was surprisingly tender and crispy, and the Gatsu was also crispy and delicious. We were very satisfied with the quality of the yakiniku at this price point. We would love to visit again.

During a regular lunchtime, I became a lunch refugee and saw a sign on the restaurant's window that they had appeared on TV. I entered at 12:00 and there were no customers inside. I ordered the Kalbi lunch with Tetsudon (+200 yen), salad, kimchi or bean sprout soup, and free extra rice. The salad had a lot of dressing, the meat was fatty but lacked tenderness and flavor, and the soup was not flavorful either. I had to add kimchi to make it more enjoyable. The Tetsudon was extremely salty, making it a challenge to finish. Despite the medium portion, there was more than one bowl of rice, so I left feeling very full. The interior of the restaurant was clean and not smoky, making it a comfortable environment. Perhaps it would be better to visit for dinner to enjoy the barbecue.

Weekend fun is important, right? And when it comes to rewarding yourself for hard work, nothing beats yakiniku! I invited my yakiniku expert friend and we chose this yakiniku restaurant in Ikebukuro for our treat. Located in Ikebukuro East Exit, it may feel a bit far if you're not used to the area, but I had no trouble finding it. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. We had made a reservation for 2 people and were seated in a spacious booth. We had booked the deluxe course, which included a variety of dishes. The namul and kimchi appetizers were refreshing and tasty. The sashimi was fresh and served with plenty of green onions and spicy miso. The TETSU salad was made with fresh vegetables and a delicious dressing. The rice was served in a large bowl, even though I ordered a small portion. The sanchu lettuce was served with spicy miso and was a nice accompaniment to the meal. The thick-cut tongue and harami were both tender and flavorful. The main course included premium cuts of beef, all of which were delicious. The hormone platter was bold and flavorful, with each type of hormone having a unique taste. We ended the meal with a choice of ice cream for dessert. The restaurant's focus on serving fresh, hand-cut meat was evident in the quality of the dishes. The relaxed atmosphere and high-quality meat made for a satisfying meal. My yakiniku expert friend and I were both pleased with the experience. Thank you for the feast!

This restaurant doesn't stick to brand beef, but instead sources what they think is good at the time, and they also hand-cut the meat without freezing it. Amazing! The marinated meats were top loin, upper kalbi, and filet! The filet was so tender and delicious! It goes well with the sauce and rice! The top loin wasn't as fatty as I expected, it was surprisingly refreshing! You can eat it with sanchu or dip it in the sauce, both ways are good. The hormones had a slightly spicy miso sauce! But all the hormones didn't have a strong smell and were delicious! Among them, the shimacho was very chewy and delicious!! There were many appetizers, so you can get a lot of vegetables and eat two pieces of meat, so you will be full! (One piece of hormone each) The dessert was just right for refreshing your mouth! It was Sunday, but it wasn't too crowded, so you could probably walk in even on the day of. Lunch is also quite cheap and reasonable, so I would like to visit again if I have the chance!
