Heading towards Burger King, I placed a pick-up order. The store did not have a monitor displaying numbers at the dedicated window, so when I approached the counter, they quickly asked, "Are you customer number ○?" They served me freshly fried fries. I ordered the 2-piece special set for 800 yen, which includes a Cheese Whopper Jr and a Smoky BBQ Whopper Jr. Although they look similar, the seasoning was completely different and surprisingly good.

Burger King's new product. I thought I should try the Big Bet, which started selling in mid-March. There were many articles on social media and blogs comparing it to McDonald's Big Mac, saying it was a copycat. The Aurora sauce used in the Big Mac is similar, and even the naming, "Big Bet," gives off a Big Mac vibe. It seems to be part of a "betting the company" promotion, but McDonald's griddle-cooked burgers and Burger King's flame-grilled burgers are in completely different categories. It seems silly and disrespectful to compare them and evaluate them. Plus, the Big Mac is under 500 yen, while the Big Bet is over 1000 yen. It's rude to compare them on the same level. This may be due to Burger King's recent preference for provocative promotions, but it feels unpleasant. However, I'm curious. I want to try it, so I'll try it. I asked for extra pickles and half-cut. When I lift it, it's heavy. The wrapper is labeled "BB," representing the Big Bet. When I unwrap it, I see a hamburger cut in half. When I open it, the meaty cross-section is impressive. Two buns with Aurora sauce, two patties, plenty of shredded lettuce, cheese in between, and onion slices. No unnecessary extras like tomato or avocado, which is nice. The delicious smell of grilled beef wafts from it. Because it's flame-grilled, the fat is perfectly cooked, giving it a barbecue-like aroma that is already delicious before eating. When you eat it, it's all about the meat. The generous lettuce, cheese, and the proud Aurora sauce all taste like meat. Even the extra pickles I added are overshadowed by the delicious smell and taste of the grilled patty. The only standout is the onion slices. They are juicy, spicy, and enhance the sweetness of the meat's fat, leaving a refreshing finish. The lettuce in the Big Mac is finely shredded, but here, the leaves are firmly sandwiched, giving a satisfying crispness. Thanks to the thickness of the patty, the jaw and back teeth feel the deliciousness. Not bad. When you leave the gnawed remains, it stands up. This is proof of its thickness and the sturdy patty. The freshly fried French fries were also delicious, and I was satisfied. Recommended.

Enjoying lunch at Burger King. A restaurant near my house that has been around for a long time, unlike the chain stores that frequently undergo renovations. The place is not always crowded, but it is easy for delivery bikes to park. It is located close to the neighborhoods where many people who work in Akasaka, Aoyama, and Roppongi enjoy burgers, so maybe that's why it has stayed in business. I used to come here often when they served breakfast. I liked the croissant sandwiches, but they removed the breakfast menu. As a result, my visits decreased significantly, and today's visit is after a long time. Come to think of it, I have been eating burgers more often lately. I used to prefer sandwiches > hot dogs > burgers, but that has changed recently. Sandwiches taste best when made at home, but I don't have anyone to make them for me, so I make them less frequently and don't look forward to eating them as much. I found the perfect hot dog at Beck's Big Dog, which made me lose interest. My current ranking of favorites is sandwich ≥ burger > hot dog. I particularly like simple cheeseburgers, and there is a favorite place for them. McDonald's cheeseburger is the epitome of burgers for me, so it holds a special place. Among chain stores, Burger King's cheeseburger feels the richest and most delicious. It's my favorite. "Cheeseburger Heavy Pickles Half Cut." This is my favorite customization. The "H" on the pickle illustration on the wrapping paper stands for heavy. Half cut means cutting it in half, a complimentary service where the wrapping paper is double-layered, and the first layer reveals the half-cut burger. When cut in half, it becomes a bite-sized portion, allowing you to see a clean cross-section. Although the patty used to be thicker and more meaty in the past, it still has a good thickness with ketchup, mustard, and pickles. It is simple but has a rich cross-section. The bun is fluffy, with a crispy patty cooked over direct flame, providing a crunchy texture with a good bite. The right amount of meat juice, the aroma and flavor of the fat cooked over direct flame, all make you feel like you are truly eating meat. Above all, the crunchy texture and acidity of the pickles are delicious, making me realize that there's nothing like a cheeseburger. I realized I forgot to get ketchup when I wanted to eat the French fries. Hash browns are a dish where you can savor the crispy fried potatoes. French fries are like a spoon to scoop up ketchup, as Tanaka once said. Today's French fries are luckily freshly fried, with just the right amount of salt, perfect for scooping up ketchup and enjoying them. Satisfied.

I wandered around Shinjuku and then ended up in Yotsuya. I still wanted to eat a little more, so I looked around. In the end, I chose Burger King. I had the Cheese Mexican set. It was mild and spicy, quite good. The crunchy Mexican flakes added a nice accent. I felt satisfied and headed home. It somehow made me feel motivated.

Burger King is currently running a campaign featuring hamburgers with peanut butter sauce. The promotion started on the 21st of last month and will last for four weeks. I can't resist food with a peanut butter flavor, so I came to try it. The menu includes three options that combine peanut butter sauce with different ingredients. You can choose between berry sauce with bacon or chicken fry. Although I was tempted by the berry sauce because it goes well with peanut butter, I ultimately chose bacon. I wanted to enjoy the sweet and salty combination. When I unwrapped the paper, the sauce stuck to it. I wiped it off with my fingers and tasted a blend of barbecue sauce and peanut butter. It was already strangely delicious with its sweet and salty flavor. When I took a bite, the bacon had a crispy texture and released a juicy, flavorful essence. It was so delicious. The rich sweetness, umami, and bitterness of the peanut butter spread in my mouth. It enhanced and expanded the flavor of the barbecue sauce. It was surprisingly easy to eat. I think it would have been unbeatably delicious if there was a bacon + berry sauce option with some acidity. The umami of the beef patty also seemed to be enhanced. It's probably very high in calories, so my morning walk will have to make up for it (laughs). The French fries were freshly fried, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, in good condition. I used to like the crunchy shoestring fries they had here before they changed to the current fries about five years ago. A bit disappointing, but oh well.

A few times a year, I suddenly crave a Whopper, so this time I decided to use the free ticket for a Whopper set that I received as a pop-up order from the app at the Yotsuya 3-chome store. The store is larger than the Iidabashi store and feels relatively new inside. I placed my order through the app a few minutes before arriving at the store, but when I got there, they hadn't started making it yet. After I spoke up, they finally started making it. It's hard to tell the timing for pick-up orders. The Whopper itself had the usual generous portion and plenty of vegetables, so it was reliably delicious. The fries were freshly fried and deliciously crispy. It was a great deal to eat for free thanks to the app benefits. The atmosphere seemed more relaxed compared to the Iidabashi store. However, I still don't understand the timing for pick-up orders (laughs). Thank you for the meal!

I don't usually go to this kind of hamburger shop, and if I do, it's usually Mos Burger. But I suddenly felt like eating a hamburger, so I decided to try this place that my acquaintance recommended as delicious. When I entered for the first time, I noticed that the atmosphere inside the empty restaurant was somewhat different, with foreign staff and a menu that wasn't like the typical fast food places where you might see while waiting. It reminded me of my memories in America. I ordered the basic burger and a small size fries at the order counter. While waiting for my order, I realized that the set was actually cheaper if I had noticed earlier (laughs). I'm not used to this type of restaurant, so I easily fell into this trap, but if the staff were Japanese, they might have explained it to me. This place is definitely foreign after all (laughs). The burger was large like the ones in foreign countries, and I couldn't finish it in one go. The patty was meaty and delicious, and the vegetables inside were tastier than I expected. The fries were crispy and quite delicious too. Next time I feel like eating a hamburger, I'll definitely get the set here (laughs).

While out and about, my phone's battery was running low, so I searched for a charging cafe and found this place. The counter had outlets which was very convenient. The interior was long and narrow, with a smoking area towards the back on the right side where you could charge your phone. The lighting was a bit dim, creating a relaxed atmosphere. It's just a few minutes' walk from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station, so it's very convenient. If you ever visit the Burger King here, remember that there are charging spots available.

Today was my last day of going into the office this year. I have been working remotely for almost 2 years now. Since it seems like remote work will continue, I always look forward to the occasional days when I can go into the office and think about where to have lunch. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time today, so I opted for fast food to save time. I chose Burger King, which I had never tried before since it's not nearby. When I got there, there was surprisingly no line, so I quickly chose the "Whopper Cheese Set" without really knowing what a Whopper was. I waited for my order for about 5 minutes and then my number was called. While waiting, I googled what a Whopper was and found out that it's a burger with a patty made of 100% beef and lots of vegetables. The burger was filled with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and more, making it hard to eat without things falling out from both sides. The patty was meaty and satisfying. The fries were thick and hot, and the iced coffee had a lot of ice but was a bit light on the liquid. Overall, I left feeling full and satisfied. Fast food has definitely evolved, even though I only go once a year.

Burger King has started selling a limited-time, limited-quantity Whopper made with 100% plant-based patties. Named the Plant-Based Whopper, it is priced at 590 yen, slightly higher than the regular Whopper priced at 360 yen. The alternative meat, made mainly from soy protein and other plant-based ingredients, is gaining popularity in the United States and is particularly attracting attention in the world of hamburgers. Although other fast-food chains in Japan like Mos Burger and Freshness Burger have already introduced plant-based options, I decided to try the one from Burger King after seeing a bold banner at a nearby store. The patty, which took two years to develop, emphasizes its plant-based origin. The burger includes tomato, lettuce, onions, patty, and buns without cheese. The packaging also reflects the plant-based theme with khaki and green colors, resembling a camouflage pattern. However, even before unwrapping the packaging, there is an unsettling smell. It gives off a kebab-like odor, perhaps trying to replicate Burger King's signature flame-grilled scent. The smell is overly smoky and unnatural. Upon unwrapping, the strange smell becomes even more intense, making me hesitant to take a bite. Despite my reluctance, I muster the courage to chew, and the patty's unique texture becomes apparent. It offers a strong chewiness that challenges my front teeth, and the taste of the plant-based patty is, unfortunately, not enjoyable. I try to convince myself that it's a hamburger, but the crumbly texture and the artificial smoky aroma persist throughout. As I continue to chew, my mouth becomes increasingly dry, and my spirit wavers. How can I describe it... It's like eating dried fish made from hamburger patties. While I refrain from definitively labeling it as bad due to personal preferences, the lack of juiciness is disheartening, reaffirming that hamburgers should be made with meat. Despite my principle of finishing what I start eating, I struggle to consume it and end up leaving half uneaten. It was a disappointing Saturday night for Sakaki Shinichiro at Burger King.

The area around Yotsuya-Sanchome Station is a main street, but surprisingly there are food and drink establishments around. I found a Burger King and decided to try their chicken nuggets instead of a hamburger. The nuggets were very similar to McDonald's in terms of the taste, texture of the breading, and the firmness of the meat. The barbecue sauce had a slight sweetness to it, but it was less sweet compared to McDonald's sauce. Overall, I thought it was quite delicious. The price was 150 yen.

I suddenly had a strong craving for a hamburger and decided to visit the Burger King near my house. When it first opened, it was open 24 hours a day. The cafe-like setting in a neighborhood like Yotsuya-Sanchome was surprising. I was amazed at whether such a store was necessary in this area. Burger King, which had been actively expanding its stores, has been closing down in recent years. Every time I hear news about it, I worry that the next one to close might be our store in Yotsuya-Sanchome. However, it has managed to survive and I have developed a fondness for it. The location is perfect for delivery bikes to reach easily and for easy parking, which has contributed to its popularity. About three years ago, the cozy cafe-style store suddenly underwent a renovation. Tables were rearranged to accommodate more solo customers, removing the four-person tables. I was initially outraged by this greedy seating arrangement. However, now I see more stores adopting this layout for preventing droplet transmission, which is effective. I personally do not like sitting in these seats, but many customers choose them first upon entering the store. They sit hunched over, eating or looking at their smartphones, making the dining experience at restaurants completely different now. I ordered a Whopper after a long time, along with onion rings and chicken nuggets, accompanied by plain iced tea. The fried items here have a crispy texture, and even the breading on the onion rings is exceptionally delicious. The chicken nuggets, regardless of whether they are made of chicken or fish, taste the same, but they are surprisingly tasty. Now, about the Whopper. It's still delicious. You can really feel like you're eating meat. The buns are thin and shrink when you press them flat with your palm. They have a good bite and do not get too soggy, blending well with the sandwich fillings. Crispy lettuce, tangy tomatoes, and flavorful cheese. Other than that, it's all about the meat. It has a good chew and a delicious grilled aroma. I prefer restaurants that focus on bringing out the natural flavors and textures of the ingredients rather than pursuing "mouthfeel," "softness," or "sweetness" that Japanese restaurants often emphasize. The paper on the tray had the slogan "Grilled is Delicious" written on it, and I couldn't agree more as I enjoyed my meal. I find myself wanting to cheer for this hard-working favorite.

It was a rainy day with a storm during the rainy season. I've been alternating between going to work and staying at home, but today I suddenly didn't feel like cooking at home anymore... (also, there are some issues with my house). I was extremely exhausted. Before I knew it, I found myself stopping by while being blown by the wind with my umbrella. I had only eaten Burger King a few times before, mainly just fries and sundaes. Oh, maybe I had a set meal once in the past? About 5 years ago, I think. Although I usually avoid junk food, I couldn't resist and ended up trying it. ※ There are no McDonald's or Lotteria nearby. Personally, I feel like Mos Burger and Freshness Burger have less of a junk food feel. ☆ Spicy Whopper Set The patty was indeed spicy and exciting. It's not the same as hot and juicy, but it somehow makes me excited... Maybe it's the sense of indulgence. The moment I felt the most adrenaline was when I was eating the French fries. I realized how much I love potato fries. Maybe because I don't really like hamburgers that much, I don't even know how to take good pictures of them... My eating style is not great either. I'm sorry, Burger. There were quite a few vegetables like tomatoes and lettuce in it. I was surprised. When I took a big bite, it felt like blood was rushing to my head. As a small act of conscience, I chose hot tea (Darjeeling) as my drink in the set. I wanted something warm to drink, but I had to choose between coffee and tea. It was delicious and soothing. However, maybe it would have been perfect with cola. The staff members were diverse and cheerful, which made me smile too (^_^) The interior of the restaurant is designed for social distancing, the lighting is just right, and there are many people reading, studying, or working on their PCs, making it a comfortable place to spend time. I indulged in eating without thinking about anything for a while. Just savoring the moment (^_^) Feeling carefree! It was quite filling, and I started to feel sleepy. I realized that I can trust in my own health and well-being! It was a reset time, thank you. Thank you for the meal.

Hello. I visit here occasionally. Lately, I've been feeling the Whopper is too heavy, so I opted for the more affordable Cheeseburgers and chicken options. I ordered a lot. Haha. All in all, this hamburger might be my favorite in fast food. The patty isn't smelly and the buns are well made.

Before going for a walk, I stopped by Burger King for a quick meal. It's the closest restaurant to my house and it's open all day, which is very convenient. However, they only offer takeout after 8 pm, a sign that the emergency situation is starting to affect them too. I noticed that UberEats delivery people were constantly coming in, and when I asked if they were busy, they said they were really busy. The kitchen staff was working hard, with only two people handling everything. It's impressive how this system can handle high demand with a small team. People are willing to pay for delivery because they want to eat what they crave. Maybe there's a trend towards Burger King or Mos Burger instead of McDonald's. I hope they can continue operating like this for a while. I ordered a hot dog, onion rings, and iced tea, which cost around 600 yen. Surprisingly, almost half of the cost was for the onion rings. The hot dog, which I thought was the main dish, only cost 150 yen. It was a bit of a strange pricing situation. The hot dog, with ketchup, chopped pickles, and mustard in a nicely toasted roll, reminded me of the hot dogs sold on New York street corners. It felt like it had gotten a bit bigger. The sausage had a satisfying texture. The onion rings were perfect today, with thick slices of onion and a crispy coating. The balance between the crunchy coating and the smooth onion was just right. As I tried to take a picture from above for a commemorative shot, the scent of Earl Grey iced tea wafted up, making me feel a bit luxurious. The fresh air outside was delightful, and the mood was lifted. Overall, it was a successful change of pace.

Having breakfast at Burger King. It's been a while since I last visited Burger King. Their burgers come in two types: Diner-style and Barbecue-style, with the former cooked on a griddle and the latter over direct flame. If you want to savor the richness of the fat and the moist texture, go for the former. If you prefer the charred fat aroma and hearty meat texture, go for the latter. Burger King is known for its Barbecue-style burgers. However, in recent years, there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of their burgers. As a result, I hardly eat their burgers anymore. Instead, I opt for the oddly charming Hot Dogs or the Fish Sandwich. The Fish Sandwich, in particular, has a rich, melty texture that is outstanding. I remember when their French fries were thin and crispy, breaking apart in your mouth – a top-notch item. Now they have become the average, ordinary fries found everywhere, so I choose Onion Rings as a side instead. The creamy tartar sauce spills over, the melting cheese contrasts with the crispy breadcrumbs, and it all comes together in your mouth. The Fish Fry is soft and melts instantly with the sesame seed buns, creating a unique texture. What I appreciate the most is that the size has not diminished. While McDonald's and KFC products seem to be shrinking, Burger King's items have remained relatively unchanged. Not making unnecessary changes seems to be the secret to their success, although it's a struggle in today's Japan. It's strange. The crispy Onion Rings make me want to drink beer with them. It's morning, time for work.

Finally, the time has come to eat a burger. I ordered the Quattro Cheese Whopper set. I also got a Belgian Chocolate Pie for 150 yen. I took a photo of the table coupon, but the actual app coupon was even cheaper. It went from 990 yen to 640 yen. The discount rate seems off. I would be upset if I paid the regular price without knowing. I recommend using the coupons, everyone. By the way, what is a Whopper? It means something incredibly big. I'm not sure how big it actually is, but it's quite large. It has a 100% beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and four types of cheese in the basic composition. The taste is pretty standard. The patty has a strong meaty flavor. As it claims to be a Whopper, it's quite filling. The Belgian Chocolate Pie may look unappetizing in the photo due to my poor photography skills, but for 150 yen, it's not bad as a snack. With the coupon, I think it's worth it for a burger chain. You must use the coupon. Thank you for the meal.

Burger King located on Shinjuku Street, just a short walk from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station, offers a surprisingly wide variety of morning options. I tried the highly recommended Smokey Bacon Egg Cheese Croissant Sandwich set for 400 yen. The croissant sandwich is wrapped in paper and warmed up, but the texture ends up a bit soggy, making me wonder if it really needs to be a croissant. The smokey bacon and melty cheese are a good combination though. The coffee has a hint of fruitiness and acidity to it. It's worth comparing this to the morning offerings at the nearby Tully's. The designated smoking area is a plus for smokers, making this place quite valuable for them.

Burger King for the third time. They're offering 8 pieces of nuggets for 200 yen again. I chose honey mustard sauce this time since I went with BBQ sauce last time. Wait a minute. I've been to Burger King three times and still haven't had a hamburger. Come on, seriously. But it's just a snack, so it can't be helped. The honey mustard sauce is sweet. It goes well with the saltiness of the nuggets. I think I prefer this over the BBQ sauce. I'll eat a hamburger next time and then give my rating. This is also my third time here. Next time, I'll try a burger. Not for free. Thanks for the meal.
