MIKITV
I have been to Asakusabashi and the French school in the past, but it is an area with which I have little connection. I was taken to a trendy yakiniku restaurant in a completely unfamiliar place. The customers there seemed to be young office workers from nearby. Of course, it's all about the meat. The first thing we ordered was a plate of fresh kimchi. It was spicy and delicious, a perfect side dish. The thick-cut beef tongue was, well, really thick. But because the surface was sliced, when grilled, it opened up nicely, and when eaten with lemon, it was refreshing! It seemed like the slices were twice as thick as those at a regular yakiniku restaurant. It had a firm texture, yet was tender and had no unpleasant odor! I would recommend it even to those who are not usually fans of tongue. The special Yukke 60g was cut thicker than regular Yukke, had a solid texture, and despite being raw, had no odor. It was satisfying to eat! The meat sushi with marbled beef was just like eating fatty tuna. When dipped in wasabi, it became refreshing. It was over in one bite, but it was delicious. I wanted something a bit lighter, so I chose the lean Chateaubriand 150g. The staff grilled the huge piece for me, not just a regular grilling, but flambeed it with Calvados. The flames were impressive! This apparently helps to concentrate the flavor. It was cooked slowly over the flame, so it was tender, had a light pink color, was not heavy, and the original sauce with brandy, apple flavor, a hint of sweetness, and a touch of spiciness made the taste even better. I compared the Hara-mi and Wagyu upper Hara-mi as single items, and they looked completely different from each other. This is truly a benefit of being able to order from a single piece. It's fun to compare them just for the sake of it. To finish, I had cold noodles with beef bone soup, called Comtan. The soup was incredibly delicious, a light and refreshing cold noodle dish. I felt like I could eat it endlessly. It was so delicious. The almond jelly was served on a red plate, which was lovely, and the authentic almond jelly was delicious. Although I didn't know the area, I was glad to discover such a delicious place.
