Exploring Tokyo gourmet! Minato-ku, Akasaka Mitsuke edition. Specialty, authentic high-end Korean cuisine, expensive but delicious! First visit to popular famous restaurant "Chongiwa"! On a cold winter day with overcast skies, a bit chilly, decided to extend the legs after a work meeting in Nogizaka, and on the way back, thought about having something spicy and stimulating for dinner! Akasaka dinner! From exit 1 of Akasaka Station, walk about 3 minutes towards Akasaka Mitsuke, to a multi-tenant building on the 1st floor with an entrance that exudes elegance. A popular restaurant in Akasaka that has been in business for over 30 years, frequented by many famous Korean celebrities, recommended by Koreans as well. Specialty, authentic high-end Korean cuisine, expensive but delicious! First visit to the popular restaurant "Chongiwa"! Called at 5:30 PM and luckily got a reservation for 6:30 PM. The interior of the restaurant exudes sophistication and elegance. First, ordered the winter limited edition, oyster kimchi with pickled vegetables. For the meat, ordered top harami, top mino and horumon, two types. The oyster kimchi with pickled vegetables had a crunchy texture and a great taste, with plenty of oysters in the kimchi, the flavor was excellent and incredibly delicious. The top harami had a crispy and fragrant exterior, while the inside was moist and incredibly delicious. The top mino and horumon had a good taste and texture, and were incredibly delicious. For the finale, had the sundubu jjigae, which arrived steaming hot. The clam broth was good, rich and slightly spicy, with an excellent spicy flavor. A high-end, long-established Korean restaurant with outstanding and addictive exceptional dishes with a rich and aromatic taste! Definitely going back! Delicious and exquisite!

I went to Chung Gi Wa Honkan, located about a 5-minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke. They offer authentic Korean cuisine with a variety of dishes I've never seen before. Unfortunately, they were out of water octopus, so I'll make sure to ask when making a reservation next time. We ordered some appetizers like pickled kimchi, bone-in galbi, and hand-pulled cold noodles (half size). The pickled kimchi was incredibly delicious, I ended up finishing a portion meant for 3 people by myself. The bone-in galbi was a generous portion that covered the entire grill, and the kind staff cut it up for us. It was tender and tasty. The cold noodles were very thin with a good chewy texture, unlike any I've had before. They were also hand-pulled, which was impressive. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience!

I went to a well-established Korean restaurant in Akasaka and tried three popular dishes. Each dish was delicious and a must-try for those who love Korean cuisine. ■ Business Hours [Mon-Fri] 11:30-3:00 [Lunch] 11:30-14:00 [Sat] 12:00-3:00 [Sun/Holidays] 12:00-24:00 ■ Closed: Irregular This time, I ordered: - Pickled Kimchi (¥2200) - Bone-in Galbi (¥3300) - Handmade Cold Noodles (Half) (¥1100) - The Kimchi was incredibly delicious. Despite being a large portion for one person, I couldn't stop eating it. The cabbage had a crisp texture and the perfect balance of spice and umami. - The Galbi was tender and flavorful, with a foldable bone that is cut with scissors. The meat was not overly fatty, and the sweetness was delightful. - The Cold Noodles were surprising with their thin, handcrafted noodles and a flavorful soup that gradually intensified with each bite. Overall, these three dishes are popular for a reason, and I highly recommend trying them out at this renowned restaurant. It is also known to attract celebrities.

I love Akasaka, but I am not yet used to the people calling out to me as I make my way to the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant greeted me like they were psychic, saying "You have a reservation, right?" and led me to my table. The drink selection was great, and the side dishes were delicious, especially the kimchi and pickles. The harami (skirt steak) was also delicious, and even though I usually don't order kalbi (short ribs), the bone-in kalbi was so good that I will definitely order it again. The white rice and corn tea were also excellent. I have fallen in love with Akasaka all over again thanks to this restaurant, and I will definitely be coming back. The whole experience, from dodging the people trying to bring me into their restaurant to the lingering aftertaste of the meal, was amazing.

A Korean restaurant with yakiniku as the main dish! But everything other than the meat was delicious too! The naengmyeon (cold noodles) was really tasty!! ⭐️5⭐️ I want to go there often. I love it so much that I don't want to tell anyone about it. ⭐️4⭐️ I will recommend this place if someone asks for a good restaurant. ⭐️3⭐️ I might go again. ⭐️2⭐️ Hmm, I would prefer to try a different restaurant if possible. ⭐️1⭐️ Personally, I do not recommend it. 🙅‍♀️ Instagram @tokyo_gourmet_yokutaberuko On Tabelog, I only introduce restaurants that I rated with 4 or 5 stars ✨

Chonggiwa Main Building, a popular restaurant in Koreatown Akasaka, was established in 1991. It is a well-known and beloved establishment with many Korean customers. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. The menu includes delicious dishes such as pickled kimchi, bone-in galbi, and hand-pulled cold noodles. The kimchi is especially outstanding. I also want to try their famous kejang. Overall, it's a great place for authentic Korean cuisine in Akasaka. #KoreanFood #DeliciousKoreanFood #BoneInGalbi #MakesYouWantToGoToKorea #Akasaka #Koreatown #ReviewedRestaurant

I visited this Korean restaurant for the first time for dinner, recommended by an acquaintance. The upscale interior was bustling with women and Koreans. The kimchi with dried squid is recommended. The cold noodles and kimchi are of high quality, allowing you to enjoy the authentic taste of Korea.

It's just expensive! When asked if it's delicious, I would say "it's okay!" I ordered cold noodles, grilled squid, and beef tongue. The authentic seasoning is impressive, but the prices are too high! It's not a place where common people like me can easily go. I think there are cheaper restaurants with authentic flavors. The interior is non-smoking.

I usually go to the nearby Chonsol restaurant, but this was my first time visiting here. I arrived at the shop around last order time, so I only had kimchi and cold noodles, but the cold noodles had thin noodles with a good chewiness, and the soup had a faint sweet aroma of corn, which was very delicious.

I forgot to take a lot of photos. It was my first time at the main building, although I had been to the new building before. About 90% of the customers were Korean, which shows how delicious the food is. The hairtail fish, yukgaejang, kimchi, horumon, and harami were all delicious! The meat was tender, with just the right amount of fat, and truly tasty. The staff changed the grill frequently without us having to ask. Thank you!

I wanted to eat bone-in kalbi, and found this place as I love Korean kalbi. The appetizer was quite delicious, but the lotus root in the middle was very spicy. The bone-in kalbi was expensive but tasty, just the flavor I was looking for. It's a bit over 3000 yen, which I think is a bit much, but it's good to have once in a while. We also ordered samgyupsal at the request of my companion, but it was just average. I think it's better to eat it at a specialty restaurant. If I ever crave bone-in kalbi again, I might revisit this place.

The other day, I had a craving for cold noodles but couldn't find any, so I headed to Akasaka Mitsuke. I went to "Chongiwa Honkan" where the lunch menu is around 1000 yen, which is quite reasonable. Since I was in the mood for cold noodles, that was my only choice. I struggled to open the tea bottle on the table, but a kind staff member helped me. He was quiet but attentive, always refilling the tea bottle when it was running low. I started with three side dishes - kimchi, bean sprouts, and a mystery dish on the left. It turned out to be some kind of seafood dish with a spicy kick, quite delicious. There was also tteokbokki, which was tasty. Then came my cold noodles, and I was surprised to see scissors on the side for self-cutting. I tried to eat the noodles without cutting them first, but they were too long and difficult to handle. So, I used the scissors and finally managed to lift them properly. The soup was light and flavorful, and the noodles were chewy and easy to eat. I kept eating, but it felt like the noodles were never-ending. Eventually, I added kimchi and vinegar to change the flavor, which made it even more delicious. The chashu pork was a bit tough, but it was a nice addition to the dish. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the affordable price of 1000 yen for such a satisfying experience.

I was happy to discover a delicious Korean restaurant in Akasaka. It's great that they are open until 3 am! The restaurant has more Korean customers, so you can enjoy authentic Korean cuisine. The Kanjang Gejang had no fishy taste and was very delicious. The Kimchi was unique and not too spicy, just perfect. I also recommend the Seafood and Green Onion Pancake and the premium Harami beef. The prices may be a bit high, but I highly recommend it to those who love Korean food. It's also a great option for those who want to stop by late at night. Thank you for the meal!

Cold noodles are definitely delicious when they are thin. Barbecue dishes are not necessarily outstanding. Kimchi was tasty but expensive. The chive pancake was ordinary but not bad. The sauce was spicy. No Wi-Fi, only PayPay accepted, smoking not allowed.

I visited for the first time. The photo is of a dish called San-nakji, which is a moving octopus dish. I also ordered tomato wakame salad, chijimi, kimchi, and tail soup. Everything was authentic Korean cuisine and delicious. The makgeolli was also good, with a sherbet-like texture.

The first place was an izakaya. We enjoyed small dishes of seafood and vegetables with shochu and sake. However, I wanted a more spacious and calm atmosphere, so we left. Then we chose a different style. Since the first place didn't work out, we went all out with pork and seafood jeon, paired with makgeolli. The conversation flowed better than at the first place. It was the second mischievous gathering, where we presented and debated, clearly defined the next task, and wrapped up with the restaurant's famous cold noodles. It was a successful night of mischief. I want to keep the edge in the ongoing mischievous plan and land it properly.

First Visit 2304 (No.4401) 1. Purpose of Visit - To seek revenge for the "Stone Pot Bibimbap" I had at a different branch the other day. 2. Shop Information - Genre on Tabelog: Korean cuisine, BBQ, cold noodles - A famous restaurant in Akasaka that has been around for over 30 years, visited by Korean stars and K-pop idols - Known for "Cold Noodles" and "Homemade Kejang" made with carefully selected snow crabs from Korean fishing ports - Business hours: Mon-Fri 11:30-3:00, Lunch 11:30-14:00, Sat 12:00-3:00, Sun/Holidays 12:00-24:00 - Closed on: No regular holidays - Seating capacity: 45 seats 3. Crowdedness on the day & Atmosphere of the shop - Visited around 12:30 on a weekday, had to wait for about 10 minutes as the restaurant was full - Several Korean customers were present, giving it a little Seoul vibe ♡♡♡ 4. Customer Service - Followed the manual, but the prompt and efficient service by a man in his forties (manager?) was impressive 5. Ordered Items - Cold noodles for 1,000 yen - Ordered while waiting outside, and the food arrived in less than 5 minutes after being seated - Similar side dishes to the different branch, but the salad at the main branch was notably better - The highlight "Cold Noodles" came with toppings like boiled pork, boiled egg, radish, cucumber, and apple - Served with thin grey noodles floating in a soup frozen like a pond or sea, with a small island on top - Presented with scissors for cutting, reminiscent of scenes from Korean dramas - Initially seemed a bit bland, but when tasted just the soup, it had the perfect saltiness and rich flavor, incredibly delicious - The fact that Korean stars and K-pop idols visit makes sense with such great taste, but it's better to think of the main branch and the different branch as separate restaurants, both serving authentic Korean cuisine - Thank you for the meal.

Cash only with a 10% discount coupon. This kind of coupon is available all year round, but if you film the octopus dance eating and post it on a video platform, you can't post it on Tabelog. The octopus legs, which have a good sesame oil scent and the sensation of them sticking to the oral mucosa, as well as the deliciousness of the octopus itself, were all present. My companion had the soy sauce-marinated snow crab, Kanjangkejan. It had no smell at all, and was also made from high-quality ingredients. Still feeling a bit hungry, we ordered the recommended bone-in kalbi, which was also excellent. We ate a lot of high-quality food and the bill came to around 18,000 yen. The restaurant's name comes from a recent Vietnam War movie, and it was almost the same as the other restaurant we visited, but the food here was far superior, so we will definitely come back here. The draft beer was a Premium Malt, served in a tin cup, and it was delicious.

I went to have lunch at a Korean restaurant in Akasaka Mitsuke. The place had a rating of 3.5 on Tabelog with about 50 reviews, and the cost was around 8,000 yen per person. It's just a 5-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke station. Unfortunately, they don't serve lunch on weekends, only the dinner menu. The hormone hot pot had a delicate soup and the hormone pieces were quite substantial. I recommend the cold noodles, which had thin noodles with a refreshing flavor. However, overall, the cost performance was not great. The Korean soju was priced at 1,500 yen, which I thought was too expensive. In the past, this place might have thrived as a well-known Korean restaurant in Akasaka, but with the rising quality of food in Shin-Okubo at half the price, I don't think it's worth recommending for anything other than weekday lunch.

This is the Iidabashi branch of a long-established Korean restaurant in Akasaka. I had always felt disappointed by the lack of Korean dining options in the Iidabashi area, despite the abundance of delicious restaurants. But finally, here it is. The bulgogi and yukgaejang had a rich flavor of meat that satisfied me completely. The prices may be slightly higher than the Akasaka branch, but considering the transportation costs to get there, I think it's a good option for those working or living in the Iidabashi area.
