Today, I had some time in the early afternoon so I decided to visit places along the Odakyu Line. First, I went to my target shop in Yoyogi-Uehara, and then I headed to "tecona bagel works". The shop is located in the B1F part of a building with other tenants, and there was a line when I arrived around 1:30 pm with 5 people waiting. There were three types of bagel dough textures to choose from (fluffy, chewy, firm), and I had trouble deciding because there were so many options. I ended up buying the hojicha sweet red bean and sweet cream cheese (325 yen), diced ham with mustard & cheese (315 yen), corn (300 yen), spinach bacon (280 yen), and strawberry cranberry milk (300 yen). First, I tried the spinach bacon bagel, and it was delicious! The "fluffy" dough with spinach mixed in had a good texture and the bacon inside went well with it, it was a delicious classic flavor! The strawberry cranberry milk bagel, made with "fluffy" dough, also had a good texture with a nice chewiness and the combination of strawberry, cranberry, and white chocolate was a perfect match, it was delicious! The corn bagel had a "chewy" dough with corn mixed in and corn grits on the surface, with corn kernels inside, it was a refreshing and delicious corn-filled treat! The diced ham with mustard & cheese bagel had a "chewy" dough with a chewy and sticky texture, filled with fine diced ham, cheese, and plenty of mustard seeds, and the acidity added a nice touch, it was delicious! The hojicha sweet red bean and sweet cream cheese bagel was made with "firm" dough, it had a firm and chewy texture, and the tasty hojicha red bean paste paired perfectly with the cream cheese, I really liked it! I enjoyed the different textures of the three types of bagel dough, and the way the texture was tailored to the ingredients inside was impressive, I was more than satisfied! With such a wide variety of options, I would love to come back and try more varieties when I have the chance!

Exiting from exit 1 of Yoyogi-Koen Station, crossing the street, turning left, and then taking the next right led me to the destination. I visited on a weekday at 2pm and luckily they still had bagels available! I had called in advance but no one answered, so I was a bit nervous, but they were open and welcoming. They are only open about 6 days a month, so it was a precious visit. It's important to check their business days on their website before going because they are closed for sure if not open. The staff, all women, were very friendly and when I asked for recommendations, they kindly suggested some options. With so many varieties to choose from, I found it difficult to decide. In the end, I bought the chestnut bean walnut, curry, and lasagna, limited to 2 per person. They were all so cute and delicious - the chestnut bean walnut had a chewy texture and tasty filling, curry was delicious, and the lasagna was a staff recommendation that didn't disappoint. It's a shop worth visiting and I look forward to trying other flavors next time.

It was delicious! Although it was described as the hardest one, the "mugyu" had a good texture and wasn't too tough. It had big pieces of bacon inside, and the spinach bacon was the most delicious. The location was a bit hard to find as it was downstairs, but the staff were very friendly and the place was clean!

Visit on 17th September 2023 at 13:46. There were about 7 people waiting (near the middle of the stairs), and after a little over 10 minutes of waiting, I was able to enter. This is a take-out only shop, so you need to bring your own eco-bag as they do not sell plastic bags. Inside the store, there was a variety of bagels displayed, making it hard to decide, but I ended up buying Plain (soft, 195 yen), Camembert Bacon Tomato (rich, 310 yen), Lemon Black Tea (rich, 265 yen), and Hojicha Sweet Red Bean & Sweet Cream Cheese (firm, 325 yen). Each bagel has a different texture – soft, chewy, firm. It was a bit difficult for amateurs like me to distinguish between them. However, all of them were very soft and chewy, and delicious to eat. - Camembert Bacon Tomato: Tasted almost like pizza, with tomato kneaded into the dough. - Hojicha Sweet Red Bean & Sweet Cream Cheese: The hojicha flavor wasn't very strong, but had a slight tea aroma. It wasn't too sweet, making it easy to eat. - Plain: Of course, it had no fillings, allowing you to enjoy the taste of the dough itself. It had a simple taste that was easily overpowered when in contact with other flavors.

The bakery is located about 1 minute walk from Yoyogi Park Station. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 12 o'clock and there was a line of about 15 people waiting. It's definitely a popular spot. Luckily, the turnover rate was good and I was able to get in after about 20 minutes of waiting. The bakery specializes in bagels with a wide variety to choose from. Today, I purchased the following three items: - Soft Earl Grey Caramel Rum Raisin Bagel (320 yen): This bagel has a soft texture with a crunchy caramel part and a rich flavor of Earl Grey tea. The rum raisin filling mixed with cream is incredibly delicious and I will definitely be coming back for more. - Chewy Sichuan Pepper & Cheese Bagel (305 yen): This bagel has a nice aroma of Sichuan pepper and a chewy texture. I wish there were a bit more cheese flavor in it. - Soft Rolled Wiener Sausage Bagel (270 yen): The bagel turned out to be firmer than I expected, but the wiener sausage was meaty and delicious. I enjoyed every bite until the end. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It's really delicious, especially I love Toku-Ni Mugyu! You will need an eco bag or Ziploc for takeout! They have a variety of flavors like chestnut, raisin, sausage, sweet and salty, and plain, so it's hard to choose. Even if you come with multiple people, you have to enter and choose one by one. I went on a Sunday afternoon! There were about 6 people waiting, and it took about 5-10 minutes to enter the store and make a purchase! The line moves quickly as each person goes in to buy and leaves, so the wait time is not that long.

I finally managed to buy it even though I visited Yoyogi Hachiman and Yoyogi Koen stations a few times, as it was always sold out. What caught my eye among the many bagels was the chestnut red bean butter sandwich from Rasiuchi in a small box. ¥490! It's a taste of autumn, isn't it? (●︎´▽︎`●︎) While red bean butter bread is common, a bagel sandwich is rare. It was delicious with plenty of chestnut paste, light butter, and a whole chestnut in the middle. A must-try item!

I have tried various types of bagels here, unlike any I have had before. There were so many options that I got lost in choosing. The bagels with yeast tasted like bread. There were plenty of savory options, and they were all delicious! My favorite became the tomato lasagna bagel!

I recently visited "Teko Bagel Works" near Yoyogi-Hachiman Station. There was no flashy sign, but carefully descending the stairs, I found the store tucked away. The interior is very small, so there seems to be a limit on the number of people allowed inside. The store is filled with a variety of bagels, making it hard to choose. I ended up buying a matcha bagel, a plain bagel, and a brown sugar bagel. The bagels are categorized by their chewiness: "mochi," "mugyu," and "fuka." It's really wonderful. I arrived at the store at 10:50 on Saturday and there were 4.50 people in line in front of me. The store is small so it didn't take long to choose, but I finally entered at 11:40. The sweet potato chocolate (fuka) bitter has a chocolate and chunky moist sweet potato cocoa dough, so it's a bit dry. Nori edamame cheddar cheese (mugyu) is not too salty and delicious with a traditional taste. Sweet potato cream black sesame (fuka) has a smooth light yellow sweet potato like sweet potato and a strong aroma of black sesame, with plenty of caramel and almond on top, quite sweet. Black sesame walnut (mugyu) had little walnuts and lots of black sesame, slightly crunchy and a moderate sweetness. Soramame curry (fuka) had plenty of curry, spicy and delicious, with a thin and light dough that you can eat easily. There were plenty of soramame beans and it was delicious. Ebisu kabocha cream cheese (mugyu) has a natural sweetness of kabocha and a delicious cream cheese that is mellow. The caramel on top is sweet and luxurious. Tamba black bean (mugyu) has sweet and moist black beans, with fragrant roasted soybean flour on top, plenty and delicious. Sweet potato apple cream (fuka) with large chunks of apple, warm so it's more like custard than sweet potato, which goes well with apple, giving it an apple pie-like flavor and delicious. Mugyu feels hard and tightly packed even when steamed and toasted, but it has a satisfying texture and delicious taste, but having a firm dough like this makes the flavor just right as there are plenty of fillings. Fuka, when toasted, has a thin and crispy crumb, becoming fluffy and chewy inside, with a slight jelly-like texture. Both have different goodness and tastes delicious, but I forgot to buy mochi, so I want to go back again.

I visited on Saturday at lunchtime. I waited about 10 minutes to enter the store. They have three different textures of bagels, and the lineup is so attractive. I bought tomato cream and salami ham, roasted green tea bean paste and cream cheese, and pumpkin cream cheese. It was the most delicious bagel I've ever had! The texture was fluffy and the ingredients had a satisfying bite. I was extremely satisfied. I want to go again.

It's been a while since I stopped by, and when I peeked in from the station street, I was surprised to see that the usual long line wasn't there! It's probably because of the heat. There are still over 20 types of bagels left, which is rare. I wanted to choose the fluffy, chewy, or wheat ones, but I couldn't even take my time to look at the photos because I felt like I was inconveniencing other customers. This time, I decided on a cheese bagel. I also had some questions for the staff, but even with a mask on, their expression didn't seem welcoming, which was disappointing. It's a busy shop, so they should focus more on customer service. There are other delicious bagel shops with better service nearby, so I think I'll be okay not coming back for a while.

I find myself wanting to buy bagels from this shop regularly. The pumpkin chai cream, chocolate chocolate, and organic mugyu yomogi anko - all of them are packed full of cream and red bean without any leftovers. It's so delicious and addictive. There are customers who come from far away, showing how popular it is.

I visited around 10 o'clock on a Saturday. I couldn't line up before 10 o'clock (there was a sign saying not to line up), so I waited nearby and became the second person in line. The line gradually got longer, and by the time they opened at 11 o'clock, there were about 20 people lined up. The shop is quite small, so the capacity is only 5 people. ~ Especially delicious items ~ Chestnut red bean butter sandwich, Pickled mustard tuna cheese, Sweet potato chocolate. I had seen them on Instagram beforehand, but some of the items were already sold out right after they opened, so I couldn't buy some of the things I wanted. Maybe it's better to line up around 11 o'clock and buy them in the early afternoon. Personally, I found that the one in the middle of the 3 types was the most delicious in terms of firmness (mochi?). It tastes delicious whether you bake it or not. For the refrigerated butter sandwich products, you can add an ice pack for an extra 10 yen. As for the taste, the butter wasn't too overpowering, so I could eat it all up! So, the big eater in me added a chestnut red bean butter sandwich and enjoyed a curry bagel in a nearby park. The shop accepts payment through PayPay, etc., but since it's located underground, the signal is weak and it was quite risky...

On a holiday afternoon, I visited Tekona Bagel Works located a 2-minute walk from Yoyogi-Hachiman Station. The store opened at 11 o'clock, and when I arrived around 10:45, there was already a line of about 15 people. I had to wait in line to buy a bagel... I was once again struck by the scariness of Tokyo and lined up. I entered the store around 11:15. By the time I left, there was a line of about 30 people behind me... I recommend going before the store opens. The store is very small, but it is filled with a huge variety of bagels. It was impossible for me to choose, so I ended up purchasing a chocolate and sweet potato bagel, as well as an organic red bean paste bagel. There are three types of bread: chewy, mochi, and fluffy. As a bagel novice, I had a rough idea of what to expect. In terms of taste, the red bean paste bagel was a bit too sweet for me, and I had to take a break after just one bite. I personally found the sweet coating around the bread unnecessary. The chocolate and sweet potato bagel was also slightly sweet, but the rich chocolate and sweet potato accents, along with the texture of the bagel, made me want to take another bite. I would rate the former 3.3 and the latter 3.5, so overall, it's a 3.4. Thank you for the meal!

Limited business days, with only one weekday in July, I called around 3:30 PM to confirm they were open for sales and visited the shop. Just a 1-minute walk from Yoyogi Park Station, I found the entrance and was able to enter right away with about 3 people already inside. The variety seemed to be a bit reduced, but there was still a good selection to choose from. I got the following items: Mugyu (walnut) for ¥225, Mochi (corn) for ¥300, Fuka (Earl Grey honey apple cream) for ¥325, and a sandwich with lotus root and steamed chicken with yuzu pepper mayo for ¥395. Bringing your own bag is essential, but they provided a paper bag for me at the cashier. They also offered to include a cooling pack for the sandwich for an additional ¥10. I thoroughly enjoyed the texture and deliciousness of each item, savoring the taste of the bagels. It had been about 20 years since my last visit, and I was pleased to see that the atmosphere had remained unchanged.

There is a great bagel shop near Yoyogi-Hachiman Station and Yoyogi-Koen Station. As a bagel lover, I had to check it out! Using my map app, I found myself passing by at first. But when I backtracked, I saw a line of people going down some stairs to the underground shop. The shop was small and crowded, with customers waiting in line inside. After finally getting inside, I picked out two bagels: Fuwa Yuzu-An for 270 yen (excluding tax) and Uguisu Black Beans for 330 yen (excluding tax). When I tasted them at home, the Fuwa Yuzu-An was more like anpan than a bagel, but the texture was delicious and the yuzu flavor was great. The Uguisu Black Beans had some scattered uguisu powder which was a bit hard to eat, but the black beans were tasty. Both bagels were on the sweeter side, more like desserts, so they would be perfect for breakfast. Thank you for the meal!

I bought sweet, salty, and plain flavors. I tried the freshly baked cinnamon sugar right away, and it was so fluffy and chewy, truly a taste of happiness. When I got home, I immediately put away the ones I didn't eat in the freezer. They can be frozen for up to 2 weeks, which adds to the excitement of life. Every flavor is really delicious. Amazing!!! I will definitely go shopping there again!! Haha

I visited around 12 o'clock. The inside of the shop is quite small and there are restrictions on the number of people. However, the turnover rate is very fast and we were able to get in without waiting too long. I bought about 3 bagels, and the sweet red bean butter bagel was the most delicious! The chewy and fluffy dough is pressed with sweet red bean paste and rich butter. They said they didn't have plastic bags at the payment, so I bought a cute tote bag from Tekonabagle for about 500 yen. Overall, it was a lovely shop.

There were three types of cakes: black sugar, mochi, and mugyu, all of them were delicious with their own uniqueness. Personally, I found the black sugar plain cake to have a simple and addictive taste. This time, there were no Mont Blanc or sweet potato cakes available, so I want to go back sooner to try them.
