Tokyo, Chofu City, Nitta. Located in Chofu Hyakuten Street, this yakitori restaurant offers generous portions and the best cost performance. The nearest station is Chofu Station on the Keio Line, which stops all trains from local to express (excluding the Keio Liner). It's my favorite place♪︎ イエ━━٩(*´ᗜ`)ㅅ(ˊᗜˋ*)و━━イ Opened in January 2016. The owner is said to be from "Yakitori Yoneta" in Nishi-Ogikubo. The owner started the restaurant by taking over the name of "Torikatsu" that his father-in-law had opened in Shinkawa Danchi, Mitaka. Year-end local drinking party tradition. The first stop is an Okinawan izakaya that recently opened in Shibazaki. Then, we moved by train to Chofu♪︎ First, we visited Torikatsu and informed the staff that we would come back in about an hour, and then we spent time at an izakaya in Chofu Hyakuten Street to wait for all members to gather. This time, we visited Torikatsu for the first time in 2 years and 10 months. This time, we were seated on the second floor. The outdoor seating they have in the summer is also nice and comfortable (*´-`) The staff is friendly and cheerful, creating a good atmosphere♪ After ordering verbally, we paid after a 2-hour time limit φ(^Д^ )◆Today's order◆Chicken liver (tare) 190 yen x 2Negima (salt) 220 yen x 2Bonjiri? 190 yenBeef tendon and radish stew 450 yenPotato salad 400 yenSapporo Draft Beer Black Label 580 yen x ?* Only my drink is listed First, cheers with beer(^_^)/□☆□\(^_^) The highly recommended "tsukune (limited)" was already sold out, what a shame(>_<)(It is posted in the previous post). As always, the amount of potato salad is amazing( ; ゚Д゚) It's probably about three times the amount of a typical izakaya. If you're alone, one potato salad dish is enough to fill you up( ; ゚Д゚) The stew is overflowing from the plate(^_^;) The radish and beef tendon are generously served. The tender and juicy radish filled with beef tendon extract is delicious! (゚д゚)ウマー Chicken liver is a must at Torikatsu. It's a bit larger and juicier than at other restaurants♪(*´Д`)y-~~~ウマー!After about 2 hours, we finished up, and the bill was a little over 5000 yen, I think? By the time we left, I was already quite drunk, so my memory is quite hazy(*ノωノ) Now, the last stop is "Shin'ya Chuka" in Kunio. Let's move by train ε=(ノ・∀・)ツ The satisfaction level is very high considering the price, quantity, and taste. It's always crowded and popular, which is easy to understand. This is a place I'd like to visit often for local drinking. Next time, I'll aim for the limited tsukune when they open at 5 pm!(o´∀`)o#Sekiwake#Year-end local drinking party 3rd stop#Chofu Min-kai#Local support 2022 winter 7th#Nishi-Ogikubo Yoneta alumni#Chofu Hyakuten Street#Potato salad enough for three people#Overflowing stew#Giant tsukune#Izakaya#Yakitori#Good cost performance#T Uncle#Kelnagul#Former Chofu resident#Second floor seating available#No reservations#Rule to enter after all members have gathered#Takeout available from Monday to Thursday#100% possibility of revisiting ===========

This is the best yakitori restaurant in Chofu. Each skewer costs 220 yen. This time, I had 7 skewers. They were delicious: 1. Liver (salt) x2 2. Heart (salt) x1 3. Bonjiri (salt) x2 4. Heart tendon (salt) x1 5. Negima (salt) x1 Black Hoppy set 450 yen

I always use this place when I go to Chofu because it is cheap and delicious. All yakitori is 220 yen per skewer. The "hatsu" skewer (limited to one per person) is a must-eat. The liver, bonjiri, and tsukune are also delicious. Hoppy set (small/large) is 450 yen, and lemon sour is 450 yen.

Well, since last time there were a lot of items sold out, I decided to revisit and try something different. First, the potato salad. Wow, it's huge. Actually, it's not just big, but they didn't mash the potatoes! They mixed steamed potatoes with mayo in a bold way. It's a bit different from the potato salad I was expecting... haha This time, I tried heart with salt, grilled green onion with salt, grilled chicken skin with sauce, heart with sauce, and chicken meatball with sauce. I was recommended the heart with sauce and chicken meatball. The grilled green onion was similar to the bonjiri in terms of its chewy texture, and the grilled chicken skin matched perfectly with the sauce, so I decided to retry those. The skewers are still hard to handle. Especially the grilled green onion, look at it. You need to remove one side of the meat from the skewer. The heart was a bit like heart meat but also had a liver-like part, giving it a unique taste. And then the chicken meatball. It takes time to cook because it's thin. Of course. It arrived supported by four skewers. I didn't know how to eat it, so I immediately dismantled it. When mixed with finely chopped green onions, it was delicious... And that's it, including beer and highballs, the total was 2,780 yen. It's a place I'd want to come back to with friends. Even though you can't make a reservation here... Well, this place is simply delicious. I would come back here over and over again. Thank you for the meal!

Chofu Hyakuten-gai, located not far from Chofu Higashiguchi, is a street filled with traditional shops and trendy stores, including a nostalgic yakitori restaurant. Although it opened in 2016, it seems to have inherited the atmosphere of the original shop. Upon arrival with a hungry stomach, I ordered simmered daikon radish with tendon, and as expected, the portion was huge! The daikon and tendon were overflowing from the bowl, making it difficult to know where to start. The daikon was cut too large, almost like playing Jenga at a restaurant. However, the daikon was cooked thoroughly, with the color hardly changing no matter where you cut it. It was a healthy dish with a generous amount of daikon. As for the yakitori, I ordered liver, negima (chicken and leek skewers), bonjiri (tail meat), and skin. You could choose between sauce or salt, so I tried both for the skin. The liver had a perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and tenderness inside, which can only be achieved with fresh ingredients. The negima and bonjiri were both filled with leeks, which was a nice touch. The salt seasoning was just right, and the meat was tender and flavorful. The skin was especially delicious with the sweet and savory sauce. Each skewer was large, and combined with the generous portion of simmered daikon, I was completely full. Although the menu is limited, the quality is outstanding, making it a place worth revisiting for new dishes. Thank you for the meal!

I love how Bird Katsu's bottled beer is ice-cold. The silver-skinned onion salad, potato salad, chicken wings, and cartilage are all delicious. The cartilage here is big, well-marbled, chewy, and I love it. The restaurant is always packed from the 5 p.m. opening, showing its continued popularity in Chofu.

It was a visit at 8:00 pm on a weekend. I was in the mood for yakitori, so I searched around Chofu. This place looked good, so I called and they said they don't take reservations. When I arrived, there were exactly 2 seats available, lucky me! I sat at the counter seat and started with a draft beer. The menu mainly consists of yakitori with some side dishes. The prices are quite reasonable. On this day, I ordered potato salad, beef tendon stewed tofu, chicken liver, chicken heart, chicken skin with ponzu sauce, chicken wings, and chicken meat. I switched to Hoppy white set from the second drink. The potato salad was the last one left, so they gave me a huge portion! The potatoes were chunky with a satisfying texture and the slight acidity was perfect. The beef tendon stewed tofu was visually impressive with a lot of daikon radish. It had a soy sauce-based seasoning, was soft and had a thick texture. The chicken liver was served next! It also had a huge portion with almost the entire skewer being liver. It was moist, tender, sweet, and the sauce coated it well. The chicken heart had a good amount of fat. The saltiness was just right, bringing out the flavor of the heart. The chicken skin with ponzu sauce had crispy skin taken off the skewer, mixed with onions and green onions, and dipped in ponzu sauce. It was fragrant and had a good bounce. It was refreshing. The chicken wings had a perfect amount of salt. The chicken meat was also a huge portion! It was juicy, tender, and delicious. The bill was surprisingly cheap! The portion size, timing of service, grilling, seasoning - everything was excellent! I found a great restaurant after a long time! I will definitely come back again.

On Friday. It was raining, but I didn't mind. I grabbed my umbrella and headed to Torikatsu. I've been working since Monday for this weekend. I want to drink outside on the weekend. I'll quench my thirst with an ice-cold bottled beer and wait for the grilled giblets and green onion to be ready. The grilled chicken skewers at Torikatsu, including giblets, gizzards, wings, are voluminous and very delicious. Especially the giblets have a good amount of meat attached and are very satisfying to eat.

I was happy to find pork liver on the menu. Among all types of liver, pork liver is my favorite. It was cooked perfectly, allowing me to enjoy the unique sweetness of pork liver. The pork cartilage here is truly the best in Japan, with its size, meatiness, and crunchy texture being absolutely delightful. I quickly finished three bottles of ice-cold beer. The volume, deliciousness, and atmosphere of having raw pork intestines and 5 skewers of grilled chicken along with three bottles of beer were enough to make me finish them all in no time.

I felt like eating delicious yakitori, so I went to a famous restaurant in Chofu. The owner of this restaurant used to work at the renowned yakitori restaurant "Yakitori Yonetada" in Nishi-Ogikubo. I started with a cold silver drink for a toast. The yakitori skewers are priced at 220 yen each, except for a few items. The portion size, volume, and taste make you forget about the slightly higher price. The yakitori skewers include chicken skin with ponzu sauce on sliced onions, and they are all delicious. The standout item is the tsukune (chicken meatball skewer), which is kneaded and grilled after ordering, and it weighs 200g. For fans of chicken cartilage, the good news is that the chicken cartilage here is large, has a great texture, and is well-marbled.

A record of a visit. First visit. The liver was firm and had a nice rareness, very delicious, but other than that, the meat was too big and left a bland impression. It passes as decent, but I'm not sure if I would visit frequently. The menu is also quite limited...maybe it's considered good around here. Anyway, thank you for the meal.

Whenever you go, Torikatsu is outstandingly delicious. The taste, cost performance, satisfaction, hearty portions that are difficult to hold, all top-level. The highball is 70% whiskey...pretty yellow. Not a fan of fancy, dainty yakitori or soba shops. #yakitori #grilledchicken #liver #chickenhead #chickenmeat #gizzards #alcohol #whiskey #highball #foodporn #rice #delicious #Tama area #Chofu #drunkards #diet #dietmenu #Torikatsu

Today, I went to a restaurant called "Tabetomo" and had a drinking party here since early in the day. It's a bit far from my house - I have to take 4 trains to get to this place, which is a little tough. It's been 2 and a half years since my last visit. We arrived with 8 people as soon as they opened at 4 pm. I was excited to see my foodie friends whom I haven't seen in a while. We sat at a table on the second floor, which was reserved just for us. The yakitori skewers were quite large, so we ordered half the amount (4 skewers each) for our group and placed the order all at once. We started with rum highballs and made a toast. First, we were served potato salad and simmered beef tendon with daikon radish. The potato salad had big chunks of potatoes, providing a satisfying texture, and the simmered dish was generously portioned with large ingredients. The chicken skin was slightly crispy, and the fat added to the enjoyment. The chicken meat was juicy and went well with the alcohol. The bonjiri and negima skewers came out next. The tsukune was huge, with four skewers stuck into one meatball. The chicken liver was creamy and didn't have a strong taste. The heart was the most delicious, with a crunchy texture and a perfect match with the sauce. The cartilage also had a nice crunch and a good balance of meat. We finished with Japanese sake, lemon sour, and ended the meal in a satisfying way. After spending about 2 hours at the restaurant, we headed to our next destination for the second round of drinks. This review is from a drinking party on June 15, 2019.

Chofu dining series #115. I met up with a friend in Chofu during Golden Week and decided to have a drink in the evening for a change. We had already decided to go to Torikatsu, but arrived a bit early so we stopped by another place first. The restaurant was full inside, so we sat at a makeshift table outside with a plastic cover overhead because it was raining. The place had a traditional yakitori restaurant vibe, with a cool atmosphere and two floors. We ordered beef tendon and daikon stew, negima, bonjiri, chicken liver, heart, chicken skin ponzu, oolong highball, and green tea highball. The stew and drinks came out quickly, with the beef tendon being generously portioned and well-seasoned with salt. The skewers took a bit longer due to the crowd, but they were all delicious and the chicken liver was especially enjoyable with its firm texture. Overall, the food was tasty and the prices were reasonable, so I would definitely visit again (even though the drink selection is not extensive).

Chofu Torikatsu Chofu is a popular shop in the Hyakuten-gai shopping street in Chofu. The dishes are carefully made and come in generous portions. They also serve Hoppy, making it a place worth visiting again. The liver skewers are 150 yen each and come with plenty of meat. The potato salad and beef stomach sashimi are priced at 290 yen each, making them a great deal. The tsukune (meatballs) are 390 yen and are a specialty of the shop. The beef tendon and daikon radish stew for 390 yen has a great flavor. The menu at this shop offers generous portions. The amount of food may be too much for one person, but the flavors are not overpowering. I look forward to visiting this place again in the future.

It seems that the shop is run by someone who used to work at "Yoneda" in Nishi-Ogikubo. The tsukune, which is carefully grilled after ordering, is truly delicious. I was hoping for the liver to be tender and without any smell like at Yoneda, but it was just typical liver... The limited edition hatsuji and tsukune are a must-order if they are still available!! Every menu item has a good amount of food, and honestly, the cost performance is very good!! Two adults ate to their fill, had 3 beers and 3 sours, and the total was just a little over 4000 yen, so it was surprisingly cost-effective.

I usually go for the "salt flavor" 90% of the time, but this time I was in the mood for the "sauce flavor". It was cheap and delicious, but I think I'll go back to the "salt flavor" next time. I had a draft beer and a lemon sour for drinks.

Passing through Shinjuku, after finishing work in Chofu at night. Decided to have a light drink at this place. I've seen it a few times before, and it always seems popular and crowded. This time, I was able to get a seat as there was a turnover. There are seats outside with vinyl curtains to keep it warm. Sat at the counter and ordered a draft beer and yakitori. The grilling area seems small, so when orders pile up, it can take quite some time. The menu mainly consists of simple dishes, with a limited variety of snacks. The yakitori, however, was delicious. I tried liver, thigh meat, bonjiri, and cartilage, all fresh and generous in portion. The skewers were filled right up to the edge, which was nice but a bit difficult to eat haha. My companion didn't like organ meats or fatty cuts, so we didn't order the simmered sinew, and towards the end, another customer ordered a large-sized tsukune that looked delicious, but I decided not to wait for it to grill. The drinks are not too expensive but not cheap either. Chofu has "Ishii" which is famous and indeed tasty, but it's not casual, so this place might be a good alternative. I thought I might revisit if I have the chance.
