After finishing a meeting with a client, I had a late lunch near the company. I remembered seeing this place recently and thinking their pasta lunch looked good. So, I decided to visit.
① Exterior, atmosphere, interior:
Located about a 7-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. The nearest station is Tsukiji. It's in front of Tsukiji Elementary School, so it's easy to find, but the entrance is a bit set back, so be careful on your first visit. The interior has counter seats facing the kitchen, as well as table and booth seats in the back, making it comfortable for solo diners or groups. It's bright, clean, and popular among female customers.
② Food:
The lunch menu offers three pasta options, each served with salad and bread. For my first visit, I chose the "Spaghetti Amatriciana-style" (pork, onions, and tomato sauce). The salad came first, with a variety of vegetables, ham, salami, and a balsamic vinegar dressing. The bread was fluffy with a hint of rosemary. The spaghetti portion was generous and served hot. The tomato sauce was balanced with a mild acidity, bringing out the flavor of the pork. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the sauce coated it well. I finished with a freshly brewed coffee for an additional 100 yen. It was a satisfying meal.
③ Staff:
There was a female server handling the front of the house. She was efficient and provided good service. The chef in the kitchen also greeted me with a smile as I left. Overall, the staff's service was good.
④ Value:
For a pasta lunch priced at 1,000 yen, including a filling salad and freshly brewed coffee, I thought it was a great deal. The portion size was generous, making it a good value for the price.
⑤ Other:
The "homemade custard pudding" available for an additional 300 yen seemed popular among regular customers. I'll try it next time.
