I went to Daiwa in Omotesando for the first time. It was not as bright as Nakameguro or Ebisu, and felt like a slightly different kind of shop. They had mango, peach, pineapple, fig, Nagano Purple, orange, and melon flavors. I thought, maybe I should go back to Nakameguro after all.

I was walking along Aoyama Street when I suddenly discovered a shop and decided to get some takeout! I got Shine Muscat, Chocolate Banana, and Melon. The Chocolate Banana was only good until the next day, while the other two were good until the day after. I was a bit surprised that the expiration date was longer than I expected, haha.

I heard that Daiwa, famous for their fruit sandwiches, opened in Omotesando and decided to visit. I tried their pineapple fruit sandwich, which was delicious with plenty of pineapple and sweetness. As expected, Daiwa's fruit sandwiches are consistently delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious every time I passed by the shop on my way home from work. Daiwa's fruit sandwich shop in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. One evening, with my time left in Omotesando dwindling, I finally mustered up the courage to go in. The fruit sandwiches, made with a variety of colorful fruits, were beautifully lined up. I purchased the Amaou strawberry sandwich (830 yen) and the Shine Muscat grape sandwich (899 yen). It was quite pricey. It's about twice the price of a convenience store strawberry sandwich with 2 slices. When I got home, I tried them. Unlike the convenience store strawberry sandwich, where the strawberries are only visible in the cut part, here the whole sandwich is packed with fruits. The Amaou strawberries and Shine Muscat grapes were fresh. The cream seemed to have a bit of buttercream in it. The rich cream did not overpower the fruits. I was also curious about the banana sandwich. But as for whether I would buy it again, that's a bit uncertain.

I bought a strawberry, honey glow pineapple, and mango fruit sandwich from the Daiwa Super fruit sandwich takeout shop. The most delicious one was the mango, with a rich aroma that was delightful. The bread itself was not your typical bread, but specially made for fruit sandwiches, creating a perfect harmony of flavors.

It's about a 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station to Midorigaoka. There used to be long lines at one point, but on weekdays you can buy without waiting too long. The price is reasonable. In spring, the fruit is fresh and plentiful, and the cream is either mascarpone or a light cream that is easy to eat.

At a certain cafe, I indulged in a luxurious experience by eating a premium pudding all by myself, which left me feeling guilty. To make up for it, I decided to buy some souvenirs for my family and wandered around Omotesando Station. That's when I saw a sign on a building that read, "The serious fruit sandwiches made by a greengrocer." Intrigued, I peeked inside and saw a variety of colorful fruit sandwiches that looked delicious. The prices were quite high, starting at 450 yen for a sandwich with just cream and going up to 1,200 yen for the "Amarin" sandwich. I chose one with strawberries, specifically the "Akihime" sandwich priced at 880 yen. When I got home, the sandwich was slightly squished despite my efforts to keep it intact. I had intended to buy it for my wife and three children, but ended up cutting it into four pieces, including one for myself. The sandwich was moist with smooth cream, a hint of sweetness, and the fragrant aroma of strawberries. It disappeared in no time, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. The cream and strawberry juices had seeped into the bread, making it a bit too moist for my liking. The expiration date was set for the next day, but I recommend eating it on the same day for the best experience. I learned that the shop is operated by "Daiwa Super" in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. The "Da" in the name on the packaging made sense with this information. Although the prices at the Omotesando store are higher, the quality and uniqueness of the products make them suitable for special occasions or as gifts. This fruit sandwich left me with a sense of satisfaction. [Visited on January 20, 2023]

In Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, there is a fruit sandwich shop that has sparked a fruit sandwich boom. They also have locations in Naka-Meguro, Tokyo, which offer takeout only, and a cafe in Ebisu called Dakafe. Last year, they opened a new store in Omotesando. It is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station, facing a main street heading towards Shibuya. This location is takeout only. On this day, I ordered the Chocolate Black Banana sandwich. It was quite voluminous with a whole banana inside. The cream was not too sweet, creating a perfect balance with the sweetness of the fruits, making it light. The moist bread was also incredibly delicious. It would definitely make a great small gift, guaranteed to be well-received! I would love to try the strawberry sandwich next time! I went to the Daiwa Omotesando store in Omotesando, known for its famous fruit sandwiches. It seems like it just opened last year in 2022. This is the third Tokyo store following Nakameguro and Ebisu. It is a small takeout shop that only sells fruit sandwiches. The fruit sandwiches, which change depending on the season, are really colorful and just looking at them makes you feel energetic. Of course, in the end, you eat them and they are delicious. Among the various options, I picked out the kiwi, strawberry, orange, and mango sandwiches. As you can see, they are filled with plenty of large-cut fruits and the whipped cream is moist and tasty.

Okazaki is a fruit sandwich shop with its main store. I have only had fruit sandwiches from convenience stores before, so when I found out they were collaborating with a luxury brand, I decided to buy one. The fruit in the sandwich was really delicious. However, the cream part was a bit lacking. It felt a bit oily. I really enjoyed the sandwiches with less cream, but the ones with more cream felt a bit overwhelming.
