Located right by Nogizaka Station, next to Mercedes-Benz. Visited during lunchtime and didn't have to wait. Similar style to Haneda Airport. Ordered the warm Niku Soba for 1100 yen. Used to frequent the original location which is now closed, so whenever I come across this place, I can't help but go. The noodles are different from other places. :)

This is the successor to Minatoya, located at Tora no Mon. While the original shop served thick soba noodles, this new shop serves Chinese-style noodles that are similar to tsukemen. The dipping sauce is spicy with chili oil and also has a strong flavor of Sansho pepper. The soba broth is made from scratch using buckwheat flour.

Today's Poteranchi → [First] Eating soba while gazing at the Benz is exceptional, haha, the spicy dipping sauce with chili oil and sansho pepper is the best, definitely worth a repeat visit. This legendary soba shop, which has left its name as a renowned shop, is the third branch located behind the Benz dealer. I felt a bit guilty going there just for lunch, but I gathered the courage to venture inside and found a building lined with Benzes in front, which seemed to be the legendary soba shop's third branch. There was a new menu with yakisoba, but I stuck to my original plan and ordered the warm meat soba. I also ordered the set with karage made with soba dipping sauce. There were indoor and terrace seats available, and although the terrace was empty, the intense heat made me give up and opt for an indoor seat. It seemed like self-service for water and dishware cleanup. The dipping sauce had a lot of pork hidden under the white negi, and it was spicy with chili oil and a numbing sensation from the sansho pepper. If you let your guard down, you might choke, but the taste is addictive. The noodles had a firm texture closer to ramen than soba, with white sesame and chopped seaweed adding a nice accent. Eating it with the pork gives a strong flavor. There was an egg, which I mixed in the empty bowl at first, dipped in the sauce, and tried it, and the balance of mildness with spiciness was delicious. However, it was a hassle to dip twice, so in the end, I just added the egg to the sauce and ate it all at once haha. The karage had a crispy skin and juicy inside, a favorite type of karage. It was well-seasoned with the soba dipping sauce, and even for someone picky like me, it passed with flying colors. The impression was similar to Katsuura tantanmen, but the perfect temperature of the dipping sauce and noodles made it light enough to eat even in summer. There was a risk of choking, so I ate carefully until the end haha. I heard rumors about a tsukemen restaurant attached to a Mercedes-Benz dealership. On a weekday evening, the luxurious store was rented out. It had a high ceiling, large tables suitable for business negotiations, pleasant piano music, and a Nogizaka-like atmosphere. Instead of soba, they served medium-thick Chinese noodles with a broth loaded with meat, with a deliciously spicy-sweet taste. They also provided a raw egg and powdered soba soup on the side. It was very satisfying.

Visited NEXTDOOR on the East Yoyogi Street in Roppongi, adjacent to Mercedes Me Tokyo, which is a Mercedes arrangement store of Minatoya that opened 2 years and 8 months ago in December 2019. The affiliated stores include Soba Restaurant Minatoya (July 2002 - February 2019), Minatoya 2 (opened in August 2016), and The Minatoya Lounge (opened in April 2021). As of May 2023, there are 19 remaining stores after one store closed down. The interior of NEXTDOOR is stylish with a predominance of white, black, and glass. There are table seats on the right side upon entering, with a total of 20 seats providing a spacious and comfortable dining experience. During my visit, there were no other customers present, and it remained empty throughout. The service was efficiently handled by one female staff member. The menu includes: - Hot Meat Soba: 1100 yen (tax included) - Yakisoba with Meat: 1000 yen (tax included) - Karaage made with soba broth: 400 yen (tax included) I ordered the Hot Meat Soba priced at 1100 yen. The dish was served 12 minutes after ordering, consisting of hot meat soba with dipping sauce, dipping noodles, soba water, and raw egg. Unlike the original, the dipping noodles were not the dark gray countryside soba but thick white noodles topped with shredded seaweed. The dipping sauce was warm and rich with plenty of pork, served with chili oil, chopped green onions, and black pepper. When dipping the noodles into the sauce, the chewy thick noodles combined well with the flavorful and spicy sauce, creating a delicious taste. Adding the raw egg made it milder. Soba water was served in a self-service style where you pour hot water into the soba flour. The stylish and spacious interior of the restaurant provided a comfortable dining environment. Various cashless payment options were available for settling the bill. The Hot Meat Soba, priced at 1100 yen, had a different approach compared to the original with its thick white noodles instead of the dark gray countryside soba. The taste was delightful, with the chili oil-infused rich dipping sauce complementing the chewy thick noodles perfectly. This deviation made me crave the cold meat soba from Minatoya 2.

Located quietly in the Roppongi/Nogizaka area, "Minatoya 3" is a soba restaurant that boldly sets up shop on the premises of a famous dealer. Following the closure of the popular standing soba shop "Minatoya" in Toranomon in 2019, this establishment is positioned as the third branch after "Minatoya 2" in Otemachi. Under the direction of the founder of "Minatoya," Takeshi Kikuchi, this restaurant offers a new creation of meat soba for Mercedes, combining the philosophy of "the best or nothing" in Mercedes car-making with the uncompromising soba-making attitude that changed the history of the Japanese soba world. The location is a 3-minute walk from Nogizaka Station on the Chiyoda Line and about 6 minutes from Roppongi Station. It is part of Mercedes me Tokyo, a showroom featuring the latest models of Mercedes-Benz, and also serves as a gallery and Benz Rent, offering advanced car dealer services that enrich life scenes. Next door, in a chic cafe-style setting with a black color scheme, is this elegant cafe space with a terrace and indoor area, brightly lit by sunlight shining through white walls. With an elegant piano playing in the background, it creates a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere, unlike a typical soba restaurant. Upon entering, settle the payment at the reception, exchange it for a number tag, and receive complimentary water and soba broth, as well as an apron. The menu consists of three items: - Warm meat soba 1,100 yen Minatoya 3 Vision "Mercedes-AMG GT Atatakai-Nikusoba" - Pork fried soba 1,000 yen - Fried chicken (3 pieces) marinated in soba broth 400 yen Fried Chicken 3 pieces I ordered the recommended item by the staff at Mercedes me Tokyo next door. - Warm meat soba 1,100 yen Minatoya 3 Vision "Mercedes-AMG GT Atatakai-Nikusoba" A cool meat soba named after "Mercedes-AMG GT"! It was served at my table in about 5 minutes. The dipping sauce looked rich and inviting, with plenty of green onions and pork belly. The noodles were thick and topped with shredded seaweed, a style that stimulates appetite in the summer. I started by dipping the noodles in the sauce as is, then added a raw egg halfway through for a flavor change. You can also enjoy it by adding soba broth to your liking. Dipping the noodles in the sauce, you can taste the spicy kick of chili oil and sansho pepper. It's spicy but not overpowering, leaving a lingering umami aftertaste. Chewing on the generous pork belly reveals sweetness within the spiciness. The noodles have a strong elasticity and a wheat flavor, complemented by the subtle aroma of sesame. Enjoying a bite of noodles dipped in the sauce becomes addictive! Adding a raw egg halfway through, the spiciness subsides, and you can directly feel the umami flavor in the soup. The combination of soba broth and egg creates richness, giving a different gentle expression to the soup in the second half. I unexpectedly enjoyed a delicious meat soba for lunch at a car dealership. It seemed to be popular among nearby office workers during lunchtime. Apart from payment and serving, it is self-service, but the cleanliness of the restaurant and attentive service create a comfortable environment. This modern noodle shop offers a perfect spicy meat soba for summer, enticing your appetite. I ordered the warm meat soba small size (950 yen). Just like last time, I bought a food ticket as soon as I entered, but the system here is that orders are placed when you purchase the ticket, and when your order number is called, you go pick up your food. The soba was more like ramen. I actually wanted to try the chicken soba.

It's been a while since my last visit. It seems like there is less meat compared to the last time I came. I wish they provided condiments like chili oil on each table so I could focus more on enjoying the meal. I wanted to add vinegar to my food, but they didn't have any available. The food is delicious as usual, but I wish there were more options for flavor variations.

Since last week, I've been on a bit of a noodle kick. Despite wanting something cold because of the heat, I found myself drawn to Minato 3Mercedes-AMG GT's Atatakai-Nikusoba + soba dipping sauce with fried chicken. As a result, I ended up sweating but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It was hot so I went to eat tsukemen! I went with high expectations because the soba at Otemachi was delicious! That spicy dipping sauce is so good. It's filled with plenty of green onions and meat, very satisfying. I also tried the new dish of fried chicken dipped in the sauce. It was juicy and delicious with meat juices overflowing. I will definitely go back. Thank you for the meal.

Yakisoba was added to the new menu. I introduced it, but I ended up ordering the meat soba. Spicy dipping soba is perfect for the hot summer. It has plenty of meat and goes well with medium-thick noodles. I've tried many dipping noodles, but this place serves a refined and elegant dipping soba. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

When I was a new graduate working in Kasumigaseki, I used to frequent Minatoya in Toranomon. I loved their meat soba. It seems like the store itself has reached the end of its life. I want to thank everyone for their overflowing love. I couldn't even say goodbye, I'm sorry. With a greeting that said "Instead of a rose of gratitude," the store suddenly closed. But now, surprisingly, it has made a comeback in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz. All the plates have the Mercedes-Benz logo, which gets me excited. The direction of the new Minatoya seems quite different from before. The taste is a rich soba broth with plenty of green onions, chili oil, and pork belly. The noodles are thick and chewy, matching well with the rich dipping sauce. Ah, such a nostalgic taste... Delicious! The price is 1100 yen, which may be slightly high, but considering the location, it seems reasonable. The store is very clean, being a Mercedes-Benz affiliated store, and although 80% of the customers were men, I would recommend it to women too!

Located between Roppongi and Nogizaka, in the Mercedes-Benz showroom facility, is Koya 3. Unlike the cold meat soba-only menu at the Otemachi branch, here they offer fried chicken and alcohol as well. In addition to warm meat soba, they also serve yakisoba. Unlike typical standing soba shops, there are chairs available. There are also terrace seats, giving it an open and casual atmosphere that is not typical of Koya. I ordered the warm meat soba, but the noodles looked more like Chinese noodles with a firm texture, rather than traditional Japanese soba. While there may be soba flour in the noodles, the aroma of soba is not present. The warm broth combined with the cold Chinese noodles gives it a tsukemen-like eating experience. The broth is sweet, salty, and rich in flavor. Just dipping the noodles in the broth is flavorful enough. The generous amount of pork belly, green onions, seaweed, and sesame keeps it interesting until the end. Due to the rich broth, adding a raw egg halfway through to mellow it out is a good idea. I prefer the warm broth for a sukiyaki-like taste over the cold broth with raw egg. If you visit Koya wanting to enjoy chewy Japanese soba, you may be disappointed as the only oily elements are the chili oil and the fat from the pork belly, making it healthier compared to tsukemen.

There is a new menu item called "meat yakisoba" at Mercedes Mee, so I decided to drive there in my beloved AMG for a visit. The noodles are inspired by the Mercedes AMG GT, but they are thick and chewy like regular meat soba noodles, making it tough for an old man like me to finish. Ordering the fried chicken was a mistake, as even the lady with me gave up on finishing the meat soba. Maybe it's better to order less noodles next time? The taste was nothing special, but the overwhelming volume of food might be meant to evoke the power of an AMG?

I have visited this place for lunch several times, but I came back after a long time. When I visited before, it was still a stand-up style, but now you can sit down and eat. It is located near the Benz Cafe on the Outer Garden East Street, and if you pay close attention, you can find the shop easily. When you enter the shop, there is a register where you place your order and pay before taking a seat. After finishing your meal, you need to return the dishes to the designated area. Putting that aside, when I went back after a long time, there was a new addition to the menu, which was the grilled pork soba. I hesitated, but ended up ordering the usual pork soba. It was served in less than 10 minutes. The thick Chinese noodles were topped with chopped seaweed and sesame seeds. The dipping sauce had chili oil and a hint of sansho pepper, with plenty of chopped green onions and lots of pork belly inside. You crack a raw egg into it, and some people prefer to do it at the beginning, while others suggest adding it later for a change in flavor. After preparing it, you dip the noodles into the sauce and savor it slowly to avoid choking, as it can be a bit spicy and sweet. Eating the pork belly and green onions together with the noodles is delicious. It is a decent portion for men, but might be a bit much for women. I noticed a woman at the next table sharing a large portion of grilled pork soba with a man, which seemed even more substantial. It is a unique tsukemen, so give it a try!

After visiting the National Art Center, I went to Tokyo Midtown for lunch but everything was so expensive. Then I remembered that Minatoya3, which was recommended by music gourmet expert Yukihiro Komiya on his show "Hofhan" on Barairo Dandy, was nearby! I decided to give it a try. Last time I visited, they only had meat soba on the menu, but now they had a new item, meat yakisoba! So, I ordered the meat yakisoba for 1000 yen. I also added some fried chicken marinated in soba soup. The noodles were the same yellow noodles as the meat soba. They were firm and chewy, paired with plenty of green onions and pork belly. Delicious! Just as tasty as the meat soba. For those who don't like spicy food, the meat yakisoba might be a better choice. Unlike the raw egg in the meat soba, the meat yakisoba came with a soft-boiled egg. The combination of soft-boiled egg and meat yakisoba was also excellent.

I arrived around 12:15. First, I ordered at the counter and then waited at my table. I ordered the hot meat soba (¥1,100). The stylish interior and cute water glasses were nice. It took less than 10 minutes to be served. The dipping sauce had plenty of meat and green onions. The taste was good and it went well with the noodles. It's a bit pricey, but it comes with a raw egg and I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 1:30 pm on a weekday and was able to enter smoothly. They are affiliated with Mercedes-Benz, so you can sit comfortably. Minatoya is known for its meat soba, so I ordered the hot meat soba for 1,100 yen. It had firm noodles, flavorful broth with a hint of spiciness, plenty of meat, and green onions, which are the signature taste of Minatoya. Personally, I felt the noodles were a bit firmer than at Otemachi, but it was nice to be able to eat without waiting in line. It's not the traditional choice, but I would like to try the yakisoba as well. Thank you for the meal.

2023 Foodie Adventure Tokyo Battle Edition This time, it will be a daily series for 3 months with 100 installments, starting with the "Tokyo Battle Edition." Today's focus is on imitation and derivative dishes. At the Mercedes-Benz brand information hub "Mercedesme," there is "Minatoya3" in Nogizaka, Tokyo. It's a soba restaurant with a unique atmosphere. Regarding "Minatoya," I have also written about "TheMinatoyaLounge" at Haneda Airport Terminal 2, which is related to a certain Kansai restaurant. I ordered the warm meat soba for 1100 yen.

I visited this restaurant for lunch for the second time. This time, I tried the yakisoba! The noodles were similar to the ones in the nikusoba, and there was plenty of meat, making it quite filling. It had a flavor similar to the dipping sauce of the nikusoba, so it felt like a yakisoba version of the nikusoba! It was quite spicy, but the addition of the onsen tamago made it milder. Personally, I found the seasoning to be a bit strong. However, it was delicious.
