Seafood bowl at Koro Kyu / Tokyo Kuramae Tabelog 3.23 ✔︎ Gochisou Don [Extreme] 3,000 yen I ate a seafood bowl with a splendid red shrimp at Koro Kyu. The secret of deliciousness is the "Koro Kyu ball" in the middle. The ingredients include 9 types such as tuna, negitoro, salmon roe, flying fish roe, tsubugai, kazunoko, green onion, and cucumber. Especially, there is a lot of tsubugai! The combination of chewy shellfish and negitoro is delicious. It comes with soy sauce-marinated egg yolk and vegetable pickles. It's so cute to drizzle the egg yolk. Finally, they add a rich sea bream broth for ochazuke. It's delicious with black pepper. The flavor is deep. By the way, adding extra rice for ochazuke is free. Thank you for the feast.

Unlike a regular seafood bowl, this one has a perfect balance of various seafood mixed together, allowing you to enjoy different textures. The sea bream broth added halfway through is delicious, and you might end up asking for more rice. The manager is always kind, making it easy for families with children to visit.

Thank you for viewing. I stopped by "Koroku" for seafood bowl during my shopping in Kappabashi! It's a ground floor store with parking nearby. Dinner starts at 5 pm, similar to Tsujihan in Nihonbashi. The "mixed seafood bowl" is probably inspired by Tsujihan. The accent of the shellfish is great. Mix soy sauce with egg yolk and wasabi, pour it into the bowl. When you're halfway done, call the staff and add sea bream broth for "sea bream broth ochazuke," which is also delicious. Rice refills are free, so I always ask for one. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Tsujihan-like seafood bowl. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was about half full, so it doesn't seem to get too crowded. The base is Negitoro, with plenty of shucked clams, shirako, squid, tuna, and cucumber mixed in. The hint of green onion may bother some, but it's very delicious. The addition of flying fish roe adds a nice touch. Towards the end, adding sea bream broth for a lighter taste is recommended. The restaurant is clean and the food is easy to eat quickly, so I would like to visit again.

Located a little off Kokusai Dori towards Kozaimae Elementary School is a seafood bowl specialty shop. It used to be a cafe-like establishment, but I didn't even notice when it changed. On weekdays, they offer a 1,000 yen "Koro Poki Bowl" seafood bowl, but on weekends, only the 1,500 yen, 2,000 yen, and 2,500 yen "feast bowls" are available. I chose the 2,000 yen bowl and added an extra live shrimp topping for 100 yen. Since there were no other customers, the bowl arrived in just a few minutes. I mixed the egg yolk with soy sauce and poured it over the bowl. I removed the head of the live shrimp and sucked out the shrimp miso. Bliss. I removed the tail of the shrimp and mixed it with the other seafood and rice. Leaving a little rice and seafood, I requested extra rice and sea bream dashi. I finished with sea bream rice porridge. Delicious. Thank you for the meal. All this for 2,100 yen is amazing value. For reference, the 1,500 yen option comes without live shrimp, and the 2,500 yen option has more seafood other than live shrimp, but I was perfectly satisfied with the 2,000 yen bowl.

Second seafood restaurant along the street. Opposite is a late-night parfait shop. I dropped by casually. The plates are golden and the atmosphere is glamorous. Enjoyed the seafood bowl and halfway through poured sea bream broth to make seafood ochazuke for a flavor change. For 2000 yen, the large and fresh prawns are a great value. The other ingredients are also of high quality. The soy sauce with raw egg is brought back in a separate dish upon request. The broth is served from a pot, adding to the customer's freedom. However, it would be more convenient if the soy sauce and raw egg were in separate dishes to prevent any delays. Some people may not prefer their dishes to be taken away during the meal. Many people in this area are bound by lunchtime constraints, so making it easier to eat quickly after ordering would be more appealing. The seafood is fresh and very delicious, so I can generally recommend it.

I visited a restaurant I found at Marcerino Mori yesterday, and went there today after 12 o'clock. It's right near Kuramae Elementary School. It was Sunday, but the place was calm without much crowding. Payment is cashless only, and you have to pay in advance. Good points include: - Warm tea - Even though I don't like pickles, I could enjoy the pickles here - The additional dashi broth was incredibly delicious without being too salty - The interior is new, clean, and simple - Follow them on Instagram for a free extra service - The rice was cooked to my liking, and the vinegar in the sushi rice was just right. At first glance, it reminded me of Tsujihan, but you don't have to wait in line, and Tsujihan's broth was delicious but too strong in flavor and saltiness. This place has a carefully prepared, gentle tasting broth.

Clean and tidy interior. The tables have gold plates on them. On top of that was the following order:
- Weekday lunch: Koropoki bowl (white) for 1000 yen
Koropoki bowl. A dish with vegetables and seafood diced on top of rice. It is eaten with raw egg yolk soy sauce. Tuna, negitoro, shelled clams, shirako, squid, tobiko, green onions, cucumber, avocado, lettuce. The tobiko and sesame on the rice go well together. You can have unlimited refills of rice. They also provide a rich sea bream broth halfway through, which transforms it into an ochazuke. The aroma of sea bream is delicious.
Miscellaneous notes:
It was located on a side street a short walk from Kuramae Station.

There are four counter seats and table seats in the bright cafe-like interior. I chose the special seafood bowl with shrimp on top. On weekdays, there are three types of special bowls and other menu items available. The food was served relatively quickly, and although the bowl was smaller than expected, it was beautifully presented with crab, tuna, salmon roe, and more. It felt a bit pricey, but the combination of ingredients and the soy sauce with egg yolk was excellent. The shrimp miso was also delicious. You can enjoy the bowl by eating it as is and then pouring the broth over it. The "ultimate" menu option seems to have extra salmon roe and crab, but the special one was satisfying enough for me.

Seafood bowl at Koroku @ Kuramae, a luxurious bowl (top grade). This is a one-of-a-kind seafood bowl restaurant in this area. The interior is clean and cafe-like, where you order and pay at the entrance. The bowl that arrived was adorned with salmon roe and flying fish roe, with shrimp standing tall. The rice was slightly firm and had a good texture, and the seafood had plenty of flavor even without adding soy sauce with egg yolk. It was delicious. Finally, I enjoyed the rich sea bream broth as ochazuke to finish the meal. It reminded me somewhat of that famous seafood bowl restaurant, but I thought it had quality that could not be beat.

It was a small shop, but I was somehow drawn in. I started with a rice bowl, adding wasabi to the soy sauce with egg yolk... For the finale, I topped it off with sea bream and made ochazuke. It was delicious!

I had a 1000 yen rice bowl for lunch and it was really delicious. The staff member was running the place alone, so it seemed like it could be tough when it gets busy. However, with just a few customers, they were able to give a great experience to everyone, even coming to say thank you at the exit in the midst of being busy. Around 80% into finishing my 1000 yen rice bowl, the staff member asked if I would like some extra broth added, with the option to add more rice. It might be difficult when it's busy, but the service was wonderful. And the additional broth was tasty. For 1000 yen in this location, it's quite cheap. I wonder if it will get crowded in the future, I wouldn't want to go if it's crowded, but if it's empty, it might end up closing. I left feeling very satisfied.
