After work, I went to Queens Isetan in Shinagawa. My main purpose was to buy Chinese ingredients to make Samgyetang at home using the Oyama chicken I bought at Seijo Ishii. I searched the store and found a great selection of ingredients, including Natsume, Gouji berries, and pine nuts from the Nankaichinatown Nakanoka Group Youshougou. I also discovered a new product called "Queen's Menchikatsu" for 227 yen, which was just released on June 10th. I couldn't pass up the opportunity as a Menchikatsu lover. I bought one and tried it at home after heating it in the oven. It was quite delicious. The Menchikatsu, made with coarse breadcrumbs and coarse ground pork, had a rich meaty flavor. I later found out that "Amami pork" is a PB brand pork, known for its fine texture, tender meat, and refreshing sweetness of its low-melting point fat. It's a shame that the product is sold cold in the store since it is delivered from their own factory. I wish they would sell freshly fried ones or raw ones for frying at home. By the way, the Samgyetang I made using Youshougou's ingredients turned out to be very delicious for my first attempt.

Today is the first day of the tax increase in October. I decided to buy a bento box in Shinagawa on my way home. Of course, the tax rate is 8% (lol). I have been to Shinagawa Station many times, but this is my first time coming up here! Wow, it has a sophisticated atmosphere, so cool! Here is the bento corner. At first, I was drawn to the braised pork rice and stopped by. Hmm, it's a tough decision. I lined up and finally reached the register, still debating, I bought the basil chicken rice. I tried my best to eat it to overcome my dislike for coriander. Hmm, it still tastes like medicine to me (lol). Once I finished eating the coriander on the surface, only the delicious basil chicken rice remained. Maybe the taste is adjusted for Japanese people? Other than coriander, it has no strong flavor and goes well with rice.

In October 2018, I took a bus from Odaiba to Shinagawa Station and got off at Konan-guchi. Normally, I would buy a bento box inside Shinagawa Station before transferring from the Yamanote Line to the Shinkansen for my business trips. However, this time I bought two side dishes at "Queens Isetan" on the 3rd floor of Atre Shinagawa. I got Butter Soy Sauce Spinach for 298 yen plus tax, which had spinach and bacon with a perfect nutritional balance. The spinach was crunchy and the buttery sweetness was delightful. I also got Tofu Hamburger with Japanese-style sauce for 298 yen plus tax, which had three crispy tofu hamburgers with a luxurious sauce containing shimeji mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and lotus root. Both dishes were made by Fujicco, known for their seaweed and bean products, and I felt they were a great deal for only 600 yen for both. I enjoyed them along with two Inari sushi on the Shinkansen. It was a delicious meal.

Thick flesh, refreshing taste, slightly sour but delicious with honey. It's like the relationship between grapefruit and honey.

There is a wine bar that suddenly appears inside the Queen's Isetan liquor shop on the 3rd floor of Atre, directly connected to Shinagawa Station. With the theme of "a little stylish, a little casual," they offer recommended wines of the week starting from just one coin. They serve the wine in RIEDEL glasses, which is a nice touch. They also offer perfect snacks like prosciutto, natural cheese, dried fruits, and nuts that pair well with wine. I met up with a friend who told me about this place. The Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée is only 600 yen! The convenience of being able to casually enjoy this place before or after a trip, or for a pre-dinner drink in Shinagawa, is very appealing.

Located on the 3rd floor of Atre Shinagawa above JR Shinagawa Station, this slightly upscale supermarket, part of the Isetan group, has been renewed. It might be a good idea to buy a bento here before boarding the Shinkansen. This time, I decided to go with the Chicken and Black Vinegar Stir-Fry Bento priced at 480 yen plus tax. For just a little over a coin, you can enjoy a meal from the Isetan brand, which is quite nice. The flavor is somewhat reminiscent of black vinegar. It's not exceptionally delicious, but the touch of flavor might add to the experience of eating on the Shinkansen.

I'm on a business trip to Sodegaura and waiting for a transfer from the Shinkansen. I decided to check out Queens Isetan and maybe grab some late-night snacks. As I went up the escalator, I noticed that the food court had changed, and now there was a lovely wine bar with a variety of wines like Champagne and Burgundy, which can be a bit intimidating to buy a whole bottle of. I started with a glass of Champagne and then tried a glass of white Burgundy (Chassagne) while chatting with the sommelier. It's a great place to recharge and enjoy some good wine. Highly recommended for wine lovers, those interested but unsure where to start, and beginners. Tokyo is truly amazing!

Butter Chicken Curry at Echute Shinagawa on the third floor, it seems like a popular spot for business people to grab lunch. The prices are similar to convenience store lunches, or sometimes even a little cheaper. I stopped by on my way back from lunch upstairs, and saw they had a lot of curry options. I decided to try the Butter Chicken Curry. I'll have it with some naan at home. I also bought other curries from Konno A◯ to have together. The Butter Chicken curry is creamy with a hint of tomato at the end, although the nuts are a bit subtle. The spices are not overwhelming and give it a refined taste. I'll definitely buy it again.

I bought a Neapolitan & Hamburg set (^-^). The pasta was delicious but (*^^*) the hamburger was just average (>_<).

I bought sashimi on sale, sweet shrimp, tuna & sea bream & amberjack, and chicken katsu.

I bought original cheesecake, pound cake, ohagi, PB jasmine tea, and organic green tea at Shinagawa Atre (^ ^) They were delicious☆
