*Waiting time* Omitted *Order & Price* Three kinds of nuts chocolate *Atmosphere of the shop* Omitted *Service* Omitted *Impression* It has a crispy texture and feels lighter than expected. Also, there was less chocolate than anticipated, with the outer dough being more prominent. *Expectations* While the texture is good, there wasn't much of a nutty flavor in the three kinds of nuts, so I would have liked it to be emphasized more.

A lovely gift from a beautiful lady♪ Although you can now buy it in Osaka, Sugar Butter Tree and Funawa's sweet potato yokan were originally only available in Tokyo. So if someone asks me what's a good souvenir to bring back from Tokyo, I would immediately answer with Sugar Butter Tree or Funawa's sweet potato yokan! I don't usually eat sweet things other than anko, but these are different! They are super sweet, so just one or two pieces are enough, but I really love them ♥️

When I returned home, there was a box sitting on the sofa. Wow! It's everyone's favorite Sugar Butter! I forgot who gave it to me, but oh well! And it's a limited edition? Setouchi lemon and honey flavor! The lemon scent is amazing! The sweet and sour taste is great! Of course, there's also the regular one, which is always delicious. This taste is definitely from the JR Shinagawa Station store! I will be taking a break for a while to recharge. I always take breaks, so it's not surprising anymore (laughs). I aim to return around the arrival of winter. Until then, I will be putting my food log on hold. To everyone who always comments and likes my posts, I apologize for this one-sided announcement of my break. When I return, I hope to personally thank everyone for their reviews. Please take care and stay well until the arrival of winter. Goodbye for now.

I'm in Tokyo. I'm buying souvenirs for my family. My wife told me not to buy any sweets because we already have a lot at home, but it's like a reverse psychology, right? I end up buying something anyway. I found Sugar Butter Tree! I remember it being delicious when I received it as a gift before. It's not fancy packaging, just a simple version, but it's good enough. It's light, cheap, has a long shelf life, and is perfect for souvenirs. It's the type of snack that makes your mouth water, not very sweet. It's crispy and might go well with tea. It lacks a bit of impact, but it's easy to eat and before I knew it, it was gone. Thank you for the meal!

Returning to Tokyo, I stopped at Shinagawa Station to choose souvenirs for my company. I'm not very knowledgeable about sweets, but I had heard the name of this store before, so I decided to stop by. I fell in love at first sight and immediately purchased... "Panda Sugar Butter Sandwich Tree" 14 pieces for 1,080 yen (tax included). This sweet treat commemorates the birth of the baby panda "Shan Shan" at Ueno Zoo. The pink wrapping paper features an illustration of a panda smiling while hugging a tree. The individually wrapped packages also display the same smiling face, which is quite charming. The design and color scheme are very elaborate. Upon opening, square-shaped pandas appear. The crispy cereal dough is filled with white chocolate. White chocolate is usually very sweet, but this one has a subtle sweetness and a light taste. Even though each piece is quite substantial, you'll find yourself reaching for more. I enjoyed it as a snack with alcohol (I think it would go well with coffee or tea too). It was also well received by the female members of my company. Shan Shan, thank you! According to the press release, "Panda Sugar Butter Sandwich Tree" supports the "Giant Panda Conservation Support Fund" with the hope for the growth of baby pandas. This fund, established by the Tokyo Zoological Park Society, uses donations from all over Japan to support international panda conservation efforts and the breeding of pandas at Ueno Zoo. It's nice to see this supportive attitude rather than just a marketing strategy. I hope they will still be selling it when I visit Tokyo next time.

BLOG post: Panda Baby Commemorative Package is cute and eye-catching♪ Available at Haneda Airport but always crowded, so it's easier to buy at Shugar Butter no Ki JR Shinagawa Station store, where you can take your time and choose♪ Oriental Veggie might not be able to eat, but the processing oil is plant-based, so it's okay. As a souvenir for two friends born in February, I found a Valentine's limited edition package with a cute heart design with a baked imprint, so I bought it right away♪ Also, I fell in love at first sight with the Tokyo limited edition Panda version, so I bought it too♪ The inside is cute and delicious, highly recommended♪ The caramel flavor in the Valentine package I gave as a gift was also delicious, according to both friends♪ It seems like it will become a reliable and popular souvenir for any occasion♪

I went to Ecute Shinagawa to buy souvenirs. There were many different shops to choose from as usual. I was drawn to a panda-themed pastry shop called "Sugar Butter no Ki." They had pastel pink packaging with a panda face on a cereal dough. I decided to buy a pack of 14 for 1,080 yen. The thick cereal dough had a cute panda face on it, and the individual packaging also had the outline of a panda. The white chocolate inside was the same as the original milk flavor. I think Sugar Butter no Ki is a great choice for souvenirs.

I received this as a souvenir. Thank you very much. The box looks unfamiliar to me. It's called "Sugar Butter Sand no Ki" and apparently it has been on the market for less than six months and seems to be somewhat popular. Well, I've never seen it before. (laughs) Anyway, I decided to open it and try it. It comes in a box with seven pieces. I opened the bag and tried it. The dough has a buttery and wheat-like flavor, kind of like crunchy cereal. The flavor is nice. It's filled with white chocolate. It's a delicious snack with a good texture, taste, and flavor. I enjoyed it with a cup of coffee. Thank you for the treat.

At Shinagawa Station, there is a shop called Sugar Butter no Ki, located at JR Shinagawa Station. The other day, I hurriedly bought a souvenir there. I got the Chocola-coated Sandwich and Charcoal Chocola, an 8-piece set for 1,080 yen. It's a winter limited edition product, so it's considered a premium item. When I got home, I stored it on the shelf and completely forgot about it. In a rush, I opened it up and found that the chocolate coating was quite generous. I guess that's why it's a winter limited edition, to prevent it from melting. I tried it right away. The sandwich dough was a bit firm, not as light as I expected, which was actually better. The chocolate flavor had a roasted, almost burnt taste to it. The cream was more of a supporting role and not very prominent. Overall, it felt slightly more upscale compared to snacks from major confectionery companies. It would be a nice souvenir gift that people would appreciate. Recently, they seem to have switched to a limited series of strawberry-chocola-coated sandwiches, which also piques my interest. I wonder how long they will be available for... I'm curious if I can make it there in time to buy some (laughs).

The reason for this title is because it's a song that a colleague (in his 60s) started singing when I received a souvenir from the son of a company's auntie. No one knew the song, and I found out that it's by a singer named Masako Izumi. So, when I went to Tokyo, I bought it at the airport and also found it at Hakata Hankyu and purchased it. It's a Tokyo souvenir that I really like. Despite the name, it doesn't have a strong butter taste and has a nice balance with the white chocolate, making it delicious. It's a recommended souvenir from Tokyo. I'm not sure if it was purchased here, but it seems like they returned on the Shinkansen, so I posted it here.

While wandering around Shinagawa Station, I found this shop and decided to buy some souvenirs. I purchased the winter limited edition items: Chocolat-coated sandwich, Milk chocolate sandwich tree, and Chocolat butter tree. The Chocolat-coated sandwich has a crispy texture with whole wheat and whole grain cereal dough. The chocolate coating is sweet but not too overpowering, and the cream filling adds a nice touch. The Milk chocolate sandwich tree has brown sugar in the cereal dough, giving it a rich taste that pairs well with the chocolate filling. The Chocolat butter tree is coated with white chocolate, perfect for white chocolate lovers but the sweetest of the three. The shop has locations in Nagoya and Osaka as well, and the prices are reasonable. The individually wrapped packaging makes it convenient for sharing with friends, and the long shelf life is a plus for carrying them around.

I bought something at Shinagawa Ecute, and one of the Tokyo souvenirs that I really like is the limited edition summer flavors "Caramel Chocolat Sand" and "Maple Chocolat Sand" from "Sugar Butter no Ki". They come in a pack of 10 for 813 yen. Similar to "Tokyo Banana," these sweets are produced by "Gin no Budou" and are a variation of the original "Chocolat Butter Sand no Ki". The original version features crunchy cereal dough sandwiching white chocolate, similar to Hokkaido's famous "Shiroi Koibito" cookies. The new versions with maple and caramel flavors are good, but the simple white chocolate version still remains the best. The buttery cereal texture with the milky white chocolate is a winning combination. The seasonal limited editions are nice to have, but not necessarily a must-try. There is also a version where the buttery cereal is coated with white chocolate instead of being sandwiched, called "Chocolat Butter no Ki," but the chocolate flavor overpowers the buttery cereal in this version. In my opinion, the best balance is achieved when the white chocolate is sandwiched between the cereal. That's just my two cents. Enjoyed the food!

This is the smallest pack they have. I understand that they cater to souvenir demand, but it would be nice to have the option to try just one. However, that's not allowed. So, reluctantly, I ended up getting the 7-piece pack and shared it with my colleagues for lunch at the office. While the 7 pieces were useful, it's not something I can do regularly. How about offering packs with 2 or 3 pieces? When I ate it, it crumbled and made a mess. It's not really suitable for eating at the office. I prefer snacks that are moist and don't crumble. But I guess the selling point of this snack is its crispy texture. Maybe they should consider introducing a moist type as well?

Shinagawa Station Ekinaka, Ecute Shinagawa South, is home to Sugar Butter no Ki. Right next to it is "Chiisana Baum Tree ~Nenrin-ke yori~" by the same brand "Grapestone Co., Ltd." The nearby NEWDAYS store is piled high with "Tokyo Banana," showing its popularity. Sugar Butter no Ki opened its specialty store at Omiya Station Ekinaka in 2010, and has since expanded nationwide to Ueno Station, Tokyo Station, Hankyu Umeda, and Hakata Hankyu. Specialty store products are always delicious. In December, Sugar Butter no Ki released a new product under the "Premium Rank," so I decided to try it out. Sugar Butter no Ki Chocolate-covered Sand (8 pieces): 1,080 yen. Since it was just a trial, I was expecting a smaller package, but unfortunately, the store didn't have the 5-piece pack for 648 yen. When I got home, I tried the product. The familiar crispy cereal dough of Sugar Butter no Ki, wrapped in chocolate. It's not bite-sized, so I held it in my hand and took a bite. The chocolate melted a bit, making my hands messy. In terms of ease of eating, it was a bit lacking (maybe my body temperature is high?). The crispy cereal dough with rich couverture chocolate was simply delicious. It didn't give me the same excitement as when I first tried Sugar Butter no Ki.

I bought souvenirs at "Echika Shinagawa South" inside Shinagawa Station. This shop is convenient because it's inside the station, so even if it rains, I don't have to worry about getting wet. They have around 15 shops selling Japanese and Western sweets. For this occasion, I chose souvenirs based on ease of carrying, shelf life, and ease of distribution. I purchased the following two items: "Assorted chocolate sandwich trees" for 1,080 yen and "Sugar butter sandwich trees" (7 pieces) for 535 yen. They are light and have a shelf life of two months. They are individually wrapped, making them perfect for sharing at work. The first thing I noticed was the crunchy texture. Despite the name, the butter flavor is subtle. The white chocolate inside is milky and sweet, creating a perfect balance of flavors. The price is reasonable, and I would like to try different varieties in the future.

I'll bring a souvenir to the client. There are many young women at that company, so earning points with a little gift might not be a bad idea. They really like the treats from this place. Today, let's go with the white chocolate sandwich. Everything here is delicious, but this one has a coffee aroma, giving it a more mature taste. It's light, not too sweet, affordable, and perfect for a gift. I'll definitely buy some when I visit my hometown next time. Bon appétit!

"This is so delicious!" I received some sweets called "Sugar Butter Sandwich Tree" and "Milk Chocolate Sandwich Tree". They are both incredibly tasty! Let's start with the Sugar Butter Sandwich Tree. The cereal dough is surprisingly firm, with a crunchy texture that gives way to the flavors of wheat and sugar butter spreading in the mouth. Definitely delicious! Then, there's the brown Milk Chocolate Sandwich Tree with plenty of brown sugar and butter. The cereal dough is baked to a crispy finish, with white chocolate sandwiched inside. It's also crunchy, with the wheat's nutty aroma spreading throughout the mouth.
