Today's lunch was at Nyorojo Akasaka. This restaurant is operated by SAI Corporation and is quite popular. I recently tried their branch in Roppongi Hills and I really liked it. Unlike the Kanto-style fluffy steamed and grilled eel, they specialize in "jijiyaki," which is grilled directly over charcoal without steaming. I visited around 2 PM and despite their closing time at 3 PM, they kindly welcomed me in and seated me at the counter. Looking at the menu, they had a variety of options including limited quantities of natural eel and course meals. While waiting for the grilled eel, I watched them preparing the live eel and skewering it inside the kitchen. After about 20-30 minutes, my order arrived. I ordered the Charcoal Grilled Eel on Rice Set for 4,290 yen and some Eel Liver for 330 yen. The eel was overflowing from the box, with 1.5 eels included, it was quite a generous portion. The eel was nicely grilled, giving it a crispy texture. The pickles were also delicious. The Eel Liver was rich and flavorful, which I enjoyed. The steamed rice in the bamboo basket was also hot and tasty. If I have the chance to visit again, I would like to reserve a course in advance and enjoy it leisurely with some drinks.

It's been a while since I visited. I ordered the eel course with an additional order of eel sashimi. Compared to before, the course appetizers were plentiful and delicious, and the famous eel sashimi was thickly sliced with a satisfying texture and very tasty. The eel course was also delicious, cooked in a wonderful style that didn't rely on being Kansai-style as an excuse. The sake "Unagi Agari" is highly recommended. I hope they can maintain this level of quality. I will definitely visit again!

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. It is located almost halfway between Akasaka Station and Akasaka-Mitsuke Station. On this day, I was seated at a table in the back rather than at the counter. We toasted with beer and ordered a comparison of premium and regular eel. While snacking on eel bone senbei, we waited for about 30 minutes. What arrived was a huge portion of the eel comparison set. It was quite filling. I didn't drink much on this day, but I would like to come back and enjoy it with some sake.

Unagi is a specialty of the restaurant, cooked Kansai-style over charcoal and prepared fresh to order. The rice is steamed in a bamboo steamer and served piping hot, which is fantastic. For fans of sansho pepper, the original sansho miso made with sansho pepper, miso, and oil is a must-try and absolutely delicious. When you visit Nyorosuke, be sure to give it a try.

I went to the Akasaka branch for the first time! When I entered, I felt like I was in a different world, almost like being in Kyoto. It wasn't crowded, so I could relax, and the taste was of course excellent. The portion was quite generous, and I couldn't finish it all because I was so full. It would be great for foreigners to visit! It seems like a good place for business entertainment as well!

On a national holiday in Akasaka, there were very few shops open. Despite the scorching heat, I visited "Nyorosuke Akasaka" for the first time to refresh myself. I decided to go with Hitsumabushi, which is eel over rice. The eel was said to be from China. I usually prefer eel over rice, but I thought it would be nice to try Hitsumabushi for a change. First, I had the eel liver, which came out quickly. It was warm, but the texture of the liver was different from what I usually enjoy. The grilling was a bit soft, and I prefer Hitsumabushi to be crispy, so I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't bad, but since I went there with the mindset of enjoying eel, my satisfaction level was low. Thank you for the meal!

When sitting at the counter seat, a very nice smell of grilled eel wafts over. The eel is thick and the rice is shiny, very satisfying. There are plenty of condiments on the table, so you can enjoy changing the taste until the end without getting bored. The taste and portion were both excellent.

A friend who is temporarily back from overseas wanted to eat eel, so we visited this place. We had a course that included a drink, appetizers, eel rice bowl, and dessert for 6,800 yen. The appetizers all had eel in them and were quite delicious. The main eel rice bowl was a generous portion with one whole eel. It was plump and tasty. We had a great time from lunch onwards.

The taste is not bad. If you order the top dish, it comes out in a size that is about 1.5 times the size of an eel, as shown in the photo. The pricing is a bit high due to the local area. There is a steamer in the bento box, perhaps because the rice is steamed. I think this is unnecessary.

I visited for lunch. I ordered a course meal and was served 5 appetizers, such as eel rolls, simmered gelatin, and eel with miso. Then came the main dish, eel over rice, which was fluffy and delicious. The portion was satisfying, maybe a bit too much. Lastly, I was served strawberries as a palate cleanser. I recommend this place for a luxurious lunch in Akasaka.

I used to go to Hyorokutei regularly, but due to the pandemic, I haven't been there for a few years. I finally visited for the first time as Nyorosuke. The atmosphere of the restaurant remains the same, with a traditional and elegant feel. I was a bit worried as we were a group of one middle school student and three adults, but we were seated in a private room as expected. The menu hasn't changed much, but the selection seemed a bit limited. It felt like they no longer offered comparisons between wild and farmed eel, or presented the eel before cooking with an explanation of its origin. However, the taste was just as good as before, with delicious grilled eel skewers and appetizers. The drinks were flowing. Notably, the prices have become more reasonable compared to before. We ordered various items from the a la carte menu and ended up eating so much eel that I might not want to see it for another year... I was prepared for the bill, so it was a relief. Our office in Akasaka had a meeting with a client and they suggested having lunch together. My boss recommended a place he knew that served eel, so we decided to go there. 1. The restaurant is about a 7-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Station. The exterior is black and there are handwritten menus displayed, giving it a sophisticated atmosphere. Inside, the seating area extends back like a bed of eels, but we were seated in a cozy sunken kotatsu seating area near the entrance. The place was bright, clean, and seemed to be popular for casual dining. 2. We ordered "Unagi Juu" (grilled eel on rice) and "Kimo-sui" (eel liver) as per my boss's instructions. After a 30-minute wait, we were served the eel liver, pickles, and rice. The eel was grilled in a unique way, with the rice steamed underneath, making it a bit messy to eat. The eel had a uniform char but lacked thickness. The price seemed fair, but the taste was not exceptional. The eel sauce was slightly sweet, and the rice was piping hot. The eel liver had a slightly salty taste, and the pickled cucumber was well-flavored. The portion size was decent, leaving us satisfied but not overly full. 3. We didn't have a reservation, so the staff seemed a bit puzzled when we arrived. The service was a bit slow, but we were informed about the wait time, so it wasn't a big issue. 4. Considering the current high prices of eel, getting Unagi Juu for 3,800 yen in Akasaka was a good deal. However, the overall dining experience was not exceptional for the price. For a slightly higher price, there are other places that offer better quality eel dishes. 5. Overall, the dining experience at this restaurant was average. The style of the Unagi Juu seemed unique to the Akasaka branch compared to what I had at a different restaurant before.

It's been a while since I last visited Nyoro-san. The eel was delicious as always today. They prepare and cook the live eel right in front of you, so you know it's fresh. It takes a bit of time, but being able to eat delicious live eel is the best. It gave me a lot of energy. The fluffy texture is really delicious. It's a place that makes you want to come back right away.

I love Nyoro-suke's grilled eel so much that I use Uber when I don't want to leave the house. On this day, I had the ultimate eel rice bowl with liver on the side. The eel was thick and firm, even though it wasn't steamed, and the sauce was just the right amount of salty. The rice in between was perfectly balanced, and I finished every last bite. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I had eel rice bowl this time, after having hitsumabushi last time. The eel was carefully grilled and very delicious. The skin was crispy and fragrant, while the flesh was soft and I didn't get tired of eating it. Next time, I plan to try the eel bowl.

I had a meal of a whole fatty eel priced at 4,800 yen. It was satisfying to eat, and the traditional box it came in had a nice retro vibe. The rice was served on a bamboo steamer underneath, and poking it with a skewer at the end was a fun touch. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great, and I definitely want to go back again.

I ordered the grilled and broiled eel bento box because they said you can take home the leftovers. Look at how it overflows, such a generous portion! They said it's all grilled on-site, but I wish the grilled eel was cooked a bit more. The broiled eel had crispy skin and was delicious. It came with two eels and cost 7500 yen! Normally, a top-quality eel dish costs around 4000-5000 yen, so this felt like a good deal. The eel liver with ponzu sauce was also delicious with a generous portion. The rice portion was similar to a regular eel restaurant's bento box, and everyone should be able to finish it with the delicious eel. However, I could only finish one eel.

The steamed hot rice is served. However, it's a bit difficult to eat as the rice is placed in a sieve. The eel is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's very delicious. The restaurant is spacious and has a high-class feel, making it very relaxing. I ordered the regular eel set for 3800 yen this time. The eel grilled over charcoal was delicious. Charcoal grilling is the best.

My boss wanted to eat eel for lunch, so I searched for a restaurant that serves it. We ordered Hitsumabushi, which was made with luxurious eel and was delicious. This restaurant was recommended by someone I know, and it lived up to the hype. I don't think I'll ever have such a luxurious lunch again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I went to Nyorojo Akasaka store earlier. I ordered a different eel bowl than usual, which was thicker. It had a lot of volume, the inside was fluffy, and the outside was crispy, it was amazing. The only disappointing thing was that the Sansho miso, which is usually available, was not available this time due to the rainy weather. Eel with that miso sauce was exquisite. But this time it was also delicious.

I visited the usual Nyorojo Akasaka branch for lunch. I ordered and sat at the counter, where I could see the cooking process. They took out a live eel and started cooking it as soon as the order was placed. It was delicious, and I could see why.
