First of all, the sign is too small to see, so I couldn't find the entrance and got lost. A staff member from the neighboring shop showed me the way, and I opened a suspicious door to find a staircase where you take off your shoes and go up. The staff are all very friendly, and the atmosphere on the 2nd and 3rd floors is great! Most importantly, all the flavors are a bit strong and delicious! Among them, my favorite is the deep-fried yam.

Shibuya is at the foot of Dojō-saka. Enjoying vegetable skewers and grilled pork tongue with beer is also delicious. In the scorching heat, there was a place that Kai found after pushing through the crowds in Shibuya. It's a happy time on a Friday when you can talk over delicious drinks. Thank you for the meal.

My junior took me out for dinner on my birthday, and only the information of this restaurant was sent to me, so we gathered there. The place is located in a bustling area where cabarets and love hotels line up, a little back from the road after climbing up from Shibuya Station. The store is quite small, with a signboard displaying the logo and name, and it took us about 5 minutes to find it. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and you have to take off your shoes before entering. Upon entering, we were greeted with a loud voice and shown to our seats. They had reserved a course for us, which was the "Luxury Course" for 5,500 yen. Here is what we had: - Thick grilled egg with Hakata green onions and pickled ginger: It was my first time trying this, and the combination of pickled ginger and egg was surprisingly good. - Appetizers: We had three dishes - grilled chicken, beef skewers, and pork belly. The first three dishes made a strong impression and were incredibly delicious. - Today's fresh fish: Hakata sesame mackerel. This was my favorite, I wish there was more because it disappeared in seconds. - Charcoal-grilled skewers: We had lettuce wraps and lotus roots. The lettuce wraps were light yet flavorful, and absolutely delicious. - Specialty dish: Deep-fried yam: This was the highlight of the meal. It was surprisingly sweet and delicious. - (White or red) Motsunabe (tripe hot pot) & noodle for the finale: We had motsunabe in scorching heat. It was my first time having motsunabe in summer, and it felt like being in the savanna without air conditioning. The champon noodles at the end were so delicious that I ended up sweating while eating. At one point, the staff gave us a super cold mystery towel, which was very refreshing. I highly recommend this place!

I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from a junior colleague. It had been years since I last drank in Shibuya. The menu had a strong Kyushu influence, and I opted for the slightly luxurious 5,500 yen course which included one additional dish each of appetizer and skewers. The portions for both the skewers and appetizers were generous, and I felt like the 5,000 yen course would have been enough. Each dish was of high quality! The motsu nabe (offal hotpot) was incredibly delicious, and the champon noodles for the finale were also great. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again!

Everything I ate was delicious, but the mentaiko aioli was especially tasty. I was seated at the counter, where it was a bit warm either due to the air conditioning not working properly or because of the cooking happening right in front of me. However, the staff kindly provided cooling towels and were accommodating when I asked to move to a table. The food, atmosphere, and service were all great.

Vegetable rolls! There are some unusual rolls too?! I recommend the lettuce roll! Cheese or salt are both recommended♪ The staff's service is also very good, so I often use this place! *It's quite smoky, so I don't recommend it for those who are sensitive to smells!

It was Friday, but I was able to make a reservation on the same day and enter the restaurant at 9:30 PM! It had been about 4 years since I last visited due to the pandemic. Last time, I sat at the counter, but this time I sat at a table! There are plenty of healthy options for grilled skewers, and they are full of flavor and satisfying to eat!

The vegetable skewers at this lively restaurant are incredibly delicious. You can't go wrong with any order, but the standout dishes were the leek and egg roll skewer and the sukiyaki skewer! Both skewers were large and tasted amazing, especially when dipped in egg yolk. Another must-try is the lettuce wrap, which you can choose to season with salt, cheese, or sauce. Personally, I recommend keeping it simple with salt. Definitely worth a visit! 🚶‍♀️~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~・~ Cold sesame yellowtail ¥980 Spring vegetable yellowtail and wasabi carpaccio ¥980 Potato salad ¥630 Various vegetable skewers ¥280 ~ Appetizer ¥300 Various alcoholic drinks ¥450 ~

I have been to other restaurants in this group before and quite liked them. I think the quality and quantity of the food, the atmosphere, variety of drinks, and the balance of clientele are all great with high cost performance. However, this time I wasn't as impressed. The food and service were fine, but perhaps because the restaurant was small and filled with smoke? It's not bad, but my rating is unusually low this time. Maybe it was because the weather was bad. I will try going again and reevaluate. It might be a good place for a date due to its location (lol).

Located in the Shibuya Hyakken-ten building, known for its Indian cuisine, is the well-established Murugy. On the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, you will find "Hakata Kushiyaki and Vegetable Yaki Workshop Joumon." After climbing the stairs and removing your shoes, you can enjoy a cozy dining experience on the 3rd floor tatami seating area, perfect for groups. We started with the "Potato Salad (630 yen)" and "Sesame Cold Yellowtail (980 yen)" before moving on to the signature dishes of skewers and vegetable grills. The popular "Lettuce Roll (500 yen)" was a must-try, along with the "Vegetable Roll Assortment (1,400 yen)" and the "8 Skewer Assortment (1,980 yen)." The lettuce roll can be ordered with salt, cheese, or sauce - I recommend the cheese option. As the feast continued, we indulged in the Motsunabe hot pot, choosing the white miso flavor. Although uncommon, the white miso broth was rich and delicious. To finish off the meal, we enjoyed a light and tasty Tonkotsu Ramen (780 yen). With reasonable prices and a welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant is highly recommended!

Located a bit away from Shibuya Station, this ultimate hidden gem is in a building in the direction of the love hotel district up the Dōgenzaka slope. The entrance has a small sign about the size of an A4 paper with the name of the restaurant written on it. You have to take off your shoes before entering. The main floor has a kitchen and a counter, with tatami rooms on the upper floor, making the interior quite spacious. Their specialty is vegetable-wrapped skewers. They show you the skewers before you choose, and they are all delicious and generously sized. One skewer per person might fill you up quickly, so it's recommended to order based on your preferences. The yakitori can sell out early, so ordering in advance is recommended, especially for evening visits on weekdays. The tatami floor is always full, so making a reservation is advisable. They even write a cute welcome letter for you!

Located near the entrance of the love hotel district in Shibuya, this restaurant is lively, serves delicious food, and is affordable. The average age of customers is around 30, but they also warmly welcome older guests. Their specialty is skewered dishes. It reminded me of "Goryon-san" and I later found out that they are operated by the same company. I believe this company will continue to thrive. Thank you for the meal.

Due to the nature of the place, it can't be helped, and it's probably what is expected, but it might feel a bit awkward when dining alone. This restaurant seems to be very popular, so it seems like you can't get in without a reservation. I arrived around 17:35 right after opening. I was able to get a seat without a reservation as a party of one until 19:00. The staff were very energetic. I was seated at the counter sandwiched between two couples. I mentioned that I wanted to try motsunabe (offal hot pot) but had limited time, so I ordered skewers and a side dish. Since I had a short amount of time, the dishes came out one after another, which I was aware of. They managed to keep up with my orders quite well. The food was honestly better than your average izakaya, but the skewers couldn't compare to a highly rated yakitori specialty shop, and while the side dish was tastier than what you would find at a regular restaurant, it wasn't mind-blowing. The atmosphere and taste were generally good, making it a great place for couples or girls' night out to enjoy decently delicious food in a slightly upscale setting with good value for money. That's probably why it's so popular. The service from the staff was fine, although they seemed very busy. It felt like the power balance between the staff and customers was around 6:4 or 7:3. Well, they are open late at night, so I think it's a great place for adults to enjoy the atmosphere.

Located a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station, the restaurant #Murgi is famous for its curry. The sign outside the shop is small and may be hard to find, so you might get a little lost. It is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. You need to take off your shoes at the entrance. It is affiliated with #Goryon, and it is always crowded, so making a reservation is recommended! Here are some menu items: - Vegetable skewers (lettuce and cheese) 1 piece for 500 yen - Vegetable skewers (tomato wrap) 1 piece for 280 yen - Vegetable skewers (Hakata leek wrap) 1 piece for 350 yen - Vegetable skewers (pork belly shiso wrap) 1 piece for 280 yen - Vegetable skewers (water spinach bacon wrap) 1 piece for 350 yen - Various delicious skewers (kimchi cheese) 1 piece for 400 yen - Sesame amberjack 980 yen - Hakata mentaiko garlic shrimp 980 yen - Grilled skewers (specialty pork belly) 1 piece for 250 yen - Grilled skewers (seseri) 1 piece for 250 yen This restaurant offers Hakata-style grilled skewers and a wide selection of selected shochu. They also have excellent dishes like motsu nabe, sukiyaki, and sesame amberjack. The skewer menu includes a variety of options, from traditional skewers to vegetable wraps and unique skewers, making it a fun experience. The dishes are large, so sharing and trying different items is recommended. The atmosphere is great, and the sashimi, one-dish dishes, and skewers are consistently delicious. I think this is a versatile restaurant that can be enjoyed in various situations. As it's getting colder, I might go back next time for the motsu nabe. Thank you for the meal! My second visit was for work. My colleague suggested yakitori and beer, but I didn't want to go to a dirty and noisy place, so I chose this place that I found out about from a friend's birthday party. It was lively with many young people, but the food was delicious. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't expensive either. I don't know many yakitori places that have a lot of vegetables wrapped around the skewers, so it was nice and healthy. It was a bit disappointing that the seating was cramped, especially considering the current situation. Also, maybe it was mentioned in the online reservation details, but it was a 2-hour time limit even though we ordered a la carte. *The third photo is a sample. We also ordered regular yakitori skewers.

I arrived in Shibuya and wanted to go to Goryon, but I didn't have a reservation and of course there were no available seats. The staff suggested that if I take a taxi for about 2 minutes, there would be seats available at a hidden place called Jomon. The entrance was hard to find, with a quiet sign indicating the second-floor location. I was seated at a shared table on the third floor. The most delicious dish was the shrimp-wrapped pork. I love shrimp, so it was a favorite. The tartar sauce wasn't too sour, but rather mild, and combined well with the sweet sauce on the pork wrap. It was a more relaxed, adult atmosphere compared to Goryon, but I was still very satisfied.

★I went to Shibuya with my friends for a meal. I got lost because I didn't know where the restaurant was, so I ended up calling the restaurant while using Google Maps... The staff was very kind and provided excellent service! They introduced the lineup of skewers at the beginning. I remembered that I used to frequent the Roppongi branch about 7 years ago and ordered a menu item that I liked. Shibuya's location is a bit difficult to access, but I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

■ Access 8 minutes walk from Shibuya Station on the JR Line, 5 minutes walk from Shibuya Station on the Keio Inokashira Line ■ Number of visits First time ■ Purpose Dinner with friends ■ Overview A Kyushu cuisine izakaya located on Dogenzaka. The restaurant is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a building where the famous curry restaurant Mugii is also located. The logo of the restaurant is very small, so be careful not to miss it. It seems to be operated by the same management as "Goryon-san," known for its vegetable skewers, and "Meatman," a meat bistro. Official website can be found here: https://teyandei.com/?page_id=21 ■ Menu The menu includes vegetable skewers, grilled pork, yakitori, and Kyushu dishes such as motsunabe. Both course meals and a la carte ordering are available. Courses are available starting from 4,500 yen with all-you-can-drink. On this day, we ordered a la carte and had the following: - Motsunabe - Noodles to finish the motsunabe - Lettuce and cheese rolls - Purple soda mix ■ Impression Due to the cold weather, we ended up at this restaurant craving motsunabe. With not many restaurants open at the end of the year, the bustling atmosphere of this 100-seat restaurant being almost full was impressive. The motsunabe had a strong garlic flavor, authentic to the region. We thoroughly enjoyed the finishing noodles as well. The popular vegetable skewers are presented with the day's ingredients in front of you. We tried the lettuce and cheese rolls, which were delicious with the melted cheese. The energetic and lively staff added to the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Next time, I plan to visit and try the vegetable skewers as the main dish. Thank you for the meal. ■ Rating at the time of visit 3.5 out of 5

[Nearest Station] 5 minutes walk from Shibuya Station on JR [Budget] 3000-5000 yen [Reservation] Not available, fully booked from 19:00 on holidays [Menu] - 3 servings of motsu nabe - Cabbage and ham skewers - 2 servings of finishing ramen - 1 glass of shochu Total 2200 yen per person [Overview] Located on the second floor of a famous Murugi Curry shop in Shibuya. Joumon means "high quality" in Hakata dialect, and it is an izakaya where you can enjoy Hakata-style skewers and authentic shochu! The interior has an open kitchen and hori-gotatsu tables where you can enjoy chatting with friends or your girlfriend. The atmosphere is very nice, and there were many customers using it for dates! This time, my friends and I desperately wanted to eat motsu nabe in the cold season at the end of the year, so after searching continuously, we ended up at Joumon. Even though it was fully booked, the staff somehow managed to seat the two of us. They are so kind. I could feel the manly spirit of the Kyushu guys! Of course, we ordered 3 servings of motsu nabe that we were looking forward to, along with various skewers lined up on the counter. It looked so photogenic, so I took a picture first. Then, we ordered the recommended cabbage cheese! I love cabbage so much... When grilled, it becomes unbelievably sweet, and I can feel a sweetness that I can't imagine from the cabbage I usually eat! It's like when an independent woman comes home and suddenly becomes clingy. Thank you for the meal.
