Here is a review of "OSAKA Kitchin Ginza Honten", a long-awaited okonomiyaki restaurant. The restaurant is located diagonally across from the Gin no To. The place has a tight counter but it's not bad. There are also a few table seats, but the overall size of the restaurant is very small and has a cozy atmosphere. This time, I opted for the cheapest course at 4000 yen, which included adult potato salad & celery pickles, Tonpei-yaki, grilled sesame tofu, avocado cheese, grilled beef tendon cabbage, seafood teppanyaki, Oyama chicken steak, okonomiyaki, pork ball, and a random dessert. I don't remember much about the potato salad, but the celery pickles were delicious. They were crisp and refreshing. The avocado cheese was a bit difficult to eat, but the combination wasn't bad so cutting the avocado into small pieces might make it a better fit with the cheese. The sesame tofu was similar to what I've had before, and it was tasty. The Tonpei-yaki had thin layers of egg, like a Mille-feuille. The texture was moist and fluffy, and it was extremely delicious. The pork belly was thinly sliced and mixed in, enhancing the delightful texture without being overwhelming. The grilled beef tendon cabbage had a sweet sauce and was elegantly finished. The sauce had seeped into the cabbage, making me want to scoop it up with rice. The seafood was squid, served with shichimi mayo, a perfect combination. Despite the simplicity of this seafood dish, the freshness was impressive for the price of the course. The chicken steak was slightly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. It felt like the epitome of chicken steak. The grilled eggplant was simple and tasty. To finish, we had the pork ball, which was fluffy and delicious. It reminded me of the amazing okonomiyaki I had in Osaka. The dessert was coffee jelly, but it was very firm and lacked sweetness, almost to the point of being inedible. Well, considering everything we got for 4000 yen, we can overlook a couple of jellies. Overall, it's a great restaurant. Since there seem to be other branches, I'll try the à la carte menu next time. Thank you for the meal.
