Located right near Higashi-Ginza Station, this izakaya gives off a vibe reminiscent of a Hokkaido fisherman, with BGM playing songs by KitaShinjiro. The menu includes dishes like Oyster Oil Stew, Grilled Shishamo, Grilled Asparagus, Sliced Onions, Thick Shiitake Mushroom, and Shipboard Rice. While the focus is on seafood from Hokkaido, they also use ingredients from all over Japan to create a variety of traditional dishes. The thick Shiitake mushrooms were particularly juicy and delicious. The highlight of the meal is the Shipboard Rice, which almost every customer orders. The staff energetically pour overflowing salmon roe into a bowl while shouting, creating a lively and luxurious dining experience. Although it may not be the healthiest option due to its high purine and salt content, the experience is definitely worth it. The staff is lively and friendly, making the overall dining experience enjoyable. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

Original Charcoal Grill Iroriya Higashi Ginza Store 3-11-11 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Building 2 B1F 03-3547-7901 Located just a few seconds' walk from Exit A7 of Higashi Ginza Station, this restaurant is also close to Kabuki-za Theater. It may be easy to miss as it is on the basement floor, but look for the sign in the photo as a landmark. A must-try dish at this restaurant is the specialty "Ship Rice," where the rice is hidden under a generous amount of salmon roe. There is also a version with salmon and chicken, but the recommended choice is the one with just salmon roe. The overflowing salmon roe pairs well with the rice, and you can enjoy it with sake, making it a great choice to start your meal. The dishes we tried: 1. Asahi Super Dry (small bottle) - 680 yen 2. Ship Rice (regular size) - 3,280 yen 3. Ankimo Umami Simmered - 780 yen 4. Awaji Island Onion Slice and Jako Salad - 630 yen 5. Bansuke Grilled Half Mackerel - 880 yen 6. Deep-Fried Eggplant with Homemade Chili Oil - 680 yen 7. Sake: Zenko, Hakurakusei - 1 cup each, 1,360 yen In addition to the famous "Ship Rice," the other dishes, especially the seafood, are also fantastic. As the restaurant's name suggests, the "Bansuke Grilled Half Mackerel" is perfectly cooked with crispy skin and tender flesh. The combination of sake with salmon roe and ankimo needs no explanation. We ended up drinking too much on this day, but if you ever find yourself craving "Ika" or sake, you might just find yourself returning to this restaurant. It was definitely worth visiting for the famous "Ship Rice" alone.

When ordering the specialty ikura-don, the background music changes and the drumming starts, creating a festive atmosphere. The staff then place the ikura on top of the rice right in front of you. The ikura-don is delicious, especially when you pour the dashi broth over it. All the dishes are beautifully presented and taste amazing. The restaurant has 3 tatami tables and about 6 counter seats, making it a great spot for a date.

All the dishes were delicious - Ebi Mayo, corn, smoked cheese TKG rice, onigiri, potato salad, shiitake mushrooms, and Japanese yam. Everything was delicious. The Galisour drink was also delicious.

All the dishes were delicious. In particular, the dashi was excellent. For salmon roe lovers, the salmon roe bowl is irresistible and brings happiness. The downside is that the taiko drum sound and the music of Kitajima Saburo often play at high volume, making it difficult to have a conversation. It is lively but preferences may vary.

I went there for the salmon roe. When I ordered, they gave me a drum and I had to hit it to the rhythm. With each beat, more salmon roe was piled on! The staff was very energetic! If you get tired of salmon roe bowl, you can have ochazuke! It was delicious!

The signature dish at this restaurant is the Ikura Don (salmon roe rice bowl) which costs around 3000 yen for a small portion. We ordered it and found that it was enough for two people. When you order the Ikura Don, they play the song "Matsuri" by Kitajima Saburo, and the staff member drums while shouting "yoisho! yoisho!" as they serve the salmon roe. The other menu items were also good, with no disappointments. The only downside was that the drinks were a bit pricey, with a highball costing over 600 yen, so it could get expensive for those who want to drink a lot.

Visited for the first time with two friends. It's located a 5-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station underground. I had been curious about their boat-shaped dishes for a while, so I ordered the "big" size. They asked if I wanted it made in front of me or brought to my table, and of course I chose to have it made at my table! After a while, the BGM in the restaurant suddenly started playing "Sabu-chan's Festival" at a high volume, and the sight of Ikura-chan being piled up to the beat of the staff's calls and drumming was quite beautiful! However, be aware that all eyes in the restaurant will be on you, so if you're shy, I recommend having it brought to your table instead. The Ikura rice bowl had just the right amount of bounce and chewiness, and with the added dashi, it was truly luxurious. The other dishes were all delicious as well, and I left satisfied. Despite being in Ginza, the atmosphere made me feel like I was at a local izakaya or festival, making it a very enjoyable experience. Thank you for the meal.

A group of 10 people from the company gathered for a drinking party at a restaurant that had a nostalgic feel to it. The specialty of the restaurant was the "Shipboard Meal" performance dish, where the staff would play drums loudly to the song "Matsuri" by Mr. Kitajima Saburo, while customers shouted "Yoisho! Yoisho!" and sprinkled ikura over their food. It may seem a bit strange to some, but that's how it was. The atmosphere reminded me of restaurants from about 15 years ago. The menu consisted of a variety of dishes and the all-you-can-drink option was priced at 6,500 yen. The courses included: 1. Assorted appetizers 2. Assorted sashimi 3. Premium dried fish from Onahama Bansuke 4. Charcoal-grilled fresh vegetables 5. Classic chicken karaage 6. Sliced onions from Awaji Island 7. Miso-marinated grilled pork shoulder from Niigata 8. Braised A5 grade black wagyu beef tendons 9. Famous shipboard meal with ikura Overall, the food was delicious and the cost performance was quite good. The atmosphere may not be for everyone, as evidenced by a Caucasian family who seemed uncomfortable during their visit. But this unique restaurant captures the essence of Japan in its own way.

The ikura (salmon roe) was delicious and the portion size of a regular serving shared by two people was quite substantial. The other sashimi and grilled dishes were also tasty, and I would like to go back again. When you order ikura, they serve it with a big presentation accompanied by loud music. (You can also request it to be served normally.)

Amazing Ikura bowl. My partner wanted a mountain of Ikura for some reason, so I searched and found this famous restaurant. Despite it being a full house on a weekday night, the place was great for both food and drinks. Even as a non-drinker, I enjoyed the delicious dishes. They were also accommodating to last-minute changes in time and number of guests. And finally, the highlight - the Ikura bowl. It was served in abundance, matching the high-energy atmosphere of the restaurant. My partner was thrilled and we enjoyed it immensely.

I visited around 11 pm on a weekday and the restaurant was almost full, but luckily there were two seats available at the counter! I noticed that many people end up here because most places in the Ginza area close early. [Ordered Menu] - Grilled Shiitake Mushroom from Tsukiyono, Gunma Prefecture (1 piece) 308 yen - Deep-fried Rice Eggplant 638 yen - Seafood Bara-Chirashi (scattered sushi) 1,078 yen - Umeboshi Sour (plum wine cocktail) 583 yen - Red Wine (half bottle) 1,408 yen We were served eggplant with grated yam as an appetizer, which was a delight for eggplant lovers. The deep-fried rice eggplant was large and juicy, with perfectly crispy skin. And the highlight was definitely the shiitake mushroom! It was full of umami flavor from the mushroom broth, and they even turned the stems into tempura afterwards! Despite having eaten a lot during a yakiniku course earlier, I still had room for more. I really want to eat shiitake mushrooms again! The staff at the restaurant were all energetic and friendly, creating a great atmosphere. They offer courses with all-you-can-drink starting from 5,000 yen, which could be great for a drinking party. I will definitely visit again when I need more drinks! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I used it for a company drinking party! The all-you-can-drink course is 6,000 yen per person. The staff's service was good, and they explained each dish carefully. When going for all-you-can-drink, you often can't expect good service from the staff, but that's not the case here. From the appetizers to the famous boat-shaped rice dish (with a lot of salmon roe), the taste was satisfying! Before going, I was worried that if they give you a lot, the taste might not be good, but that worry was unfounded. They energetically served the salmon roe along with the song of Kita Shiro. It was the best performance for a company drinking party! If I had to say something, it would be even better if, even in the case of all-you-can-drink, you could choose from two different types of sake for further enjoyment.

Just a stone's throw from Higashi-Ginza Station, at Iroriya, when you order ikura (salmon roe), they will add it to your rice bowl with a drum sound effect (Don Don!) and a cheer. The presentation is entertaining, but if you prefer a more discreet service, they will bring it to you normally, so no need to worry! They also have a great selection of Japanese sake. Despite being in Ginza, this izakaya is affordable.

We made a reservation for two at 6:30 PM on Saturday and visited the restaurant. It is located underground, a 2-3 minute walk north of the Higashi-Ginza intersection. When we arrived, there were a few other groups already dining, but by 8:30 PM when we left, the restaurant was full, indicating its popularity. We recommend making a reservation. Our main attraction today was the "Sakujyo Meshi" overflowing with salmon roe. It was served with a lively entrance accompanied by the singing of the famous singer, Mr. Kitajima Saburo, and the energetic call of "Yoisho! Yoisho!" The appearance and quantity were impressive, and the delicious salmon roe was plentiful and satisfying. We also ordered a seafood avocado salad, sashimi platter, and sea urchin, all of which were delicious. The seafood avocado salad was particularly a favorite. If you love seafood, especially salmon roe, this restaurant is highly recommended.

We enjoyed a private room with a boat meal course that included all-you-can-drink option. The highlight was the overflowing ikura on rice, but all the other dishes were delicious as well. We asked for additional sake options for an extra charge, and they brought us a whole bottle, saying "please finish this." They poured directly from the bottle into small cups, which was quite impressive. The staff were all very energetic and friendly.

Yoisyo! is a famous restaurant in Higashi Ginza, known for their signature call of "Yoisho!" I had been wanting to go there for 2 years and finally got the chance to visit. They serve a dish called "Funajoumashi," where a generous amount of ikura is piled on top of rice with a drum beating and a background music of Kitajima Saburo playing. The ikura overflows from the bowl! If you feel embarrassed, they can bring the completed dish to your table. The staff will ask you where you prefer to have it. The regular serving here is packed full to the brim with rice, so sharing with 2 people is enough (lol). One serving was too much for one person, but I was able to eat plenty of ikura, so it was great (lol). If you love ikura, I highly recommend this dreamlike ikura bowl where you can eat and eat without it ever running out. ✊‼️
