■ September 7, 2023 at Kanda's "Mita Seimenjo", try the jumbo salt tsukemen! Mita Seimenjo (Kanda) Cold Tai Dashi Salt Tsukemen (Special Serving), Mita Serving 980 yen (On the 3rd of every month, "Mita Day", the Mita Serving is free) Located just a 1-minute walk from Kanda Station's west exit, the popular tsukemen specialty shop "Mita Seimenjo" has 15 stores in the Tokyo 23 wards alone. The Kanda branch is in a great location, with 6 customers already there at 11 a.m. on a Sunday. The spacious interior has counter seats and table seats with a Japanese-style atmosphere using wooden materials. The menu includes Tsukemen for 880 yen, Tai Dashi Salt Tsukemen for 880 yen, Spicy Tsukemen for 990 yen, and Pork Backfat Tsukemen for 990 yen, among others. You can choose from 5 noodle sizes (small serving 240g, regular serving 320g, medium serving 450g, large serving 580g, special serving 800g + 100 yen). On the 3rd of every month, "Mita Day", the "Mita Serving" (equivalent to 300 yen worth of toppings) is free! A very generous service! On the day I visited, it was "Mita Day", so I ordered the Cold Tai Dashi Salt Tsukemen for 880 yen + special serving for 800g for 100 yen + Mita Serving (free) = 980 yen. After a 10-minute wait, the dish was ready. Here it is, the jumbo tsukemen served in a bowl with a diameter of 21 cm! The special serving of 800g noodles topped with seasoned egg, chashu pork, bamboo shoots, and 2 seaweed sheets, presented with a great visual impact! The cold dipping sauce is also included, making the total weight over 1 kg, a jumbo serving of tsukemen! First, I tried the thick noodles without dipping anything, and it was amazing! The thick noodles, thicker than the tip of chopsticks, have a strong chewy texture with elasticity! When you bite into it, there's a pleasant texture! The cold dipping sauce has a light saltiness with a refined flavor of tai fish dashi and a hint of yuzu aroma. It's incredibly delicious when dipped with the noodles! When you slurp the noodles vigorously, be careful as the dipping sauce may splatter on your clothes, so I slurped carefully! The seasoned egg yolk is half-cooked and jelly-like, while the chashu pork is a large piece! The thick and short bamboo shoots have a very nice texture! I wrap the noodles with seaweed and enjoy it! While savoring the dish, I finished it without breaking a sweat! I poured the remaining dipping sauce into the soup and drank it all at once, feeling completely satisfied! The Cold Tai Dashi Salt Tsukemen exceeded my expectations in terms of deliciousness! The special serving of 800g for 980 yen is great value for money! Furthermore, on the 3rd of every month, by showing the screen of your smartphone, you can get the "Mita Serving" for free, making it a very advantageous deal! There are parking meters and coin parking lots around Kanda Station. Sometimes you just feel like having tsukemen, right? Today was one of those days for me. I headed to a place about 20 seconds away from Kanda Nishiguchi. Recently, a yakiniku restaurant opened next door, but since it's a different type of cuisine, I doubt they'll clash. I ordered the Vegetable Mix Set (950 yen) with cold noodles. Even though the portion sizes for regular (320g), medium (450g), and large (580g) were all the same price, I hadn't eaten all morning, so I went for the large size. They asked if I wanted a paper apron, and I accepted. After waiting about 7-8 minutes for the noodles to be cooked, they were served, and I dug in. The cold noodles had a nice firm texture. The hot soup helped balance out the flavors and made it easier to eat. The fish sauce tonkotsu flavor was as good as ever. The rich soup coated the noodles perfectly, making it delicious. The soup contained 4 slices of chashu and 2 pieces of menma. It was quite satisfying. The Vegetable Mix was mostly bean sprouts, which honestly served more as a palate cleanser. I was a bit concerned about the portion size, but I managed to finish it comfortably. The culture of rich fish-flavored tsukemen has really taken off, and we owe a lot to Mita Seimen and Yasubee for that. The consistent quality here was decent and left me satisfied.

Mita Seimenjo Kanda store, legendary Stamina Oil Soba limited to summer 2023, collaboration with Stamina Don. The flavor is ridiculously delicious and hearty. It comes with extra rice, but the noodles were so good that I finished them before the rice time. The sauce was left over. The garlic smell coming from the stomach after eating was quite strong. It felt like if you called "Karamemashimashi with garlic" at Jiro, it would be like this. The chashu was tender, and mixing it with the noodles was great.

As August comes to an end, I decided to have the scorching hot dish for what may be the last time this season. Of course, I chose the extreme spiciness, but this year it lacked the punch compared to before, and it was a far cry from the intense experience of the past. However, it was still delicious. I hope they increase the spiciness next year.

I went to Mita Seimenjo at the south exit of Kanda Station. I ordered a large serving of tsukemen and rice. It was delicious as I hadn't had it in a while. I was intrigued by how they use stones as chopstick rests to hold down the receipt. Thank you for the meal.

JR Kanda Station West Exit, just a 1-minute walk away on Kanda Station West Exit Street. The restaurant is marked by a large sign with its name. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats. The menu mainly features tsukemen, with side dishes such as karaage and gyoza also available. You can choose from regular (320g), medium (450g), or large (580g) servings of tsukemen for the same price. The "Back Fat Tsukemen + Mita Mori (August 3, 2023)" is served in a bowl with sparkling noodles. The thick noodles have a chewy texture, a good bite, and a pleasant mouthfeel, with a great aroma of wheat flour. The dipping sauce is rich with the umami of pork bone and seafood, enhanced by the addition of back fat for richness. The noodles hold the soup well, creating a harmonious and delicious combination. The Mita Mori set includes chashu, seasoned egg, and menma. The chashu is so tender that it falls apart easily. The seasoned egg has a semi-soft yolk that is slightly runny. The menma is a thick, satisfying bamboo shoot. After finishing the noodles, there is additional soup in a pot on the table, with a slightly seafood-flavored taste that is easy to drink up. Every 3rd of the month is Mita Day, where the Mita Mori set is free. It's a very good deal, so it's definitely worth taking advantage of. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, after our usual drinking session in Kanda, we stopped by here. Due to its location near the station, it is always bustling with customers looking to have a light drink before heading home or to enjoy a final drink before calling it a night. During the summer, the extremely spicy "Scorching Tsukemen" becomes a popular topic here (they have also started a Scorching Curry), but I personally look forward to this dish that comes out around the same time each year - the Chilled Sea Bream Dashi Salt Tsukemen. While they have Sea Bream Dashi Salt Tsukemen on their regular menu, during the summer they also offer chilled dipping sauce options. There used to be options for thin noodles and a rice set for the end of the meal, but it seems like they don't have those this year. We didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive. I opted for the large serving, which was the same price as the regular size. The noodles seemed to be cooked quickly, but they were firm and had a smooth surface, making them easy to slurp up. The dipping sauce was simply a chilled version of the regular menu, but it still had a strong umami flavor. This year's version didn't have an overpowering saltiness that is often found in chilled dishes (though my taste buds may have been slightly dulled from drinking). The watercress and dried seaweed toppings complemented the Sea Bream Dashi well, serving as great side ingredients. While the warm soup for dipping felt lukewarm (as there was no dedicated soup warmer), it was a luxurious problem to have. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every last bite. For those who don't usually eat ramen or tsukemen, the regular tsukemen might be more suitable. However, if you're looking to try something different or want a cold dish to beat the heat, I highly recommend this bowl of Chilled Sea Bream Dashi Salt Tsukemen.

I went out for dinner with a friend at night. I wanted to eat cold noodles, so we went to Honda Men-gyo, but they were sold out of cold noodles. We ended up going to another place and I ordered the Sea Bream Dashi Salt Tsukemen. It cost 880 yen for a small portion. Unfortunately, I realized that the sea bream salt here is too salty for me. I keep making the same mistake over and over again. It's not that it's not tasty, but it's too salty. I thought adding lemon would help, but it just made it even saltier. Should I have added vinegar? Next time, I'll definitely order something other than sea bream salt.

Mita Seimenjo Kanda Branch, Scorching Tsukemen, Extreme 2023 Edition. In terms of spiciness, it is slightly hotter than Gokugekikara but falls short of Gokugekikara Final, maintaining a balance between spiciness and deliciousness. Mita Seimenjo's pursuit of spiciness to the extreme is truly impressive. A certain YouTuber with a beard said, "It's about the same as last year," but actually, after struggling with the dish at the store last year, I made thorough preparations this year before taking on the challenge. As a result, I was able to enjoy it deliciously without any stress. In fact, I even added a little Dragon's Breath. I'm not sure if it's due to my health, growth, changes in cooking, or if they adjusted the sweetness compared to last year. I wish they would distribute towels again. Also, I wish they would sell this powder.

Today's target at Mita Seimen, after a two-day absence, was the newly introduced Scorching Hot Curry Tsukemen. Since the spiciness level cannot be chosen, is it similar to level 1 or 2 spiciness? The Extreme Tsukemen I had two days ago was also on the milder side this year, so if you come seeking extreme spiciness, you may be disappointed. However, well, it's delicious. The toppings do not include chashu or menma, but rather ground meat and green peas-like beans.

There are counter seats and table seats, and it seems to get moderately busy during lunch and dinner. The food is served quickly. It is reasonably priced and comes in generous portions, which is very good. They provide hot water for free and offer paper aprons, making it easy for anyone to casually dine there.

I hadn't been able to go there for a while, but luckily I was able to visit Mita Seimenjo Kanda branch for the first time. I was seated at the counter and ordered the Ume Tsukemen (large size) for 1040 yen and Negi Rice for 200 yen. All the customers who came in were ordering the Ume Tsukemen.笑.

Mita Seimenjo's Kanda branch is always my second stop. They have a nice selection of appetizers, and I especially love their thin and crispy potato fries. Their tsukemen is also great, with chewy medium noodles that go well with the not-too-rich dipping broth. It's a satisfying meal that is easy to eat after drinking. I had a great time today, once again.

Tsukemen with extra pork back fat (990 yen) and 3 pieces of fried chicken (330 yen) are all the same price for regular, medium, and large sizes. It's nice that the noodles can be upsized for free, but the amount of soup remains the same as the regular size. And if you want more soup, you have to pay extra. It would be nice if the amount of soup matched the size of the noodles. The noodles are smooth and the soup has a familiar taste, but it's delicious. They are open all day, so it's convenient for various occasions.

I stopped by on my way home from work, looking for a quick meal option near the station and found this place! I thought it was just right, so I went inside. The operation is well organized, and even though there were a lot of people inside, they were handling it smoothly. I ordered the tsukemen for 880 yen and added extra noodles for free, opting for the maximum large serving of 580g. It was quite a large portion, and I was satisfied with the hearty meal. It's nice to eat without thinking and just enjoy the meal mindlessly. I felt full and happy afterwards.

It's a well-established chain restaurant. Among the ramen chain stores, the large serving size is satisfying and the noodles are not bad. Sometimes there are coupons available, making it a good cost performance. I often see families sharing meals here.

Mita Seimenjo Kanda Store Mita Mori Lunch 1100 yen comes in three sizes: regular 200g, medium 300g, and large 400g, all at the same price. The table is spacious enough to seat four people comfortably. The tsukemen arrived promptly. The tonkotsu and seafood dipping broth is rich and refreshing, with a delicious taste that is not overpowering. The medium thick noodles have a good chewiness and the broth coats them well, creating a smooth and satisfying texture. The broth is filled with ingredients like fish and comes topped with large slices of chashu, menma, and egg. Even in the large size, it doesn't feel heavy, making for a light and refreshing tsukemen. We all ordered the Tsukemen, which is a given at Tsukemen. On this day, the members who love Jiro-style ramen gathered, and we all agreed on the Garlic and Oil Tsukemen (^q^)♪ The impactful ingredients like garlic and oil, combined with the delicious noodles from Mita Seimen, created a punchy and outstanding dish (*・ω・)♪ Thank you for the meal m(._.)m♪

On a regular lunchtime, I decided to stop by Kanda Station to grab a quick meal before heading home to work remotely in the afternoon. As I was walking towards the west exit of Kanda Station, I spotted Mita Seimenjo, a ramen shop specializing in tsukemen with branches in Tokyo and even overseas. Since I had never been there before, I decided to give it a try. It was just before 12 o'clock, and the place was bustling with nearby office workers. I found a seat at the counter, as there were a few available. Unlike other ramen shops with ticket machines, here you order directly from the staff. The menu offered various options such as fish-based tsukemen, salt-based tsukemen, spicy tsukemen, and soupless abura soba. What caught my attention was that the noodle size started from small (240g) and went up to regular (320g), medium (420g), large (580g), and extra-large (800g) all for the same price. This seemed suspicious to me. I had been to similar places before, and my past experiences with such systems made me skeptical about the quality of the noodles. However, feeling hungry and enticed by the same price for all sizes, I chose the extra-large size. I ordered the pork back fat tsukemen (990 yen). A small bowl arrived filled with a large amount of noodles. The noodles seemed a bit watery, lacking in firmness, which wasn't to my liking. I tried dipping them into the broth, which appeared rich but turned out to be surprisingly light in flavor. There was only a minimal amount of back fat, so it lacked the punch I was expecting. The noodles didn't cling well to the broth, making it hard to enjoy the dish fully. Despite opting for the extra-large size, which I regretted halfway through due to my preferences, I managed to finish the meal. Overall, it might be suitable for those looking to fill their stomachs quickly.

I entered the restaurant around 10:30 PM. It was crowded, so I had to wait for about 5 minutes before being seated. I ordered the regular size of spicy tsukemen. For those who like spicy food, it may not be spicy enough. Adjusting the seasoning with the provided condiments could be a good idea. It's great that the price doesn't change even if you upgrade to a large size. I would like to go back again if I have the chance.
