After a year, I visited Asakusa again. The area was bustling with tourists, just like before. I visited Sensoji Temple and then wandered towards Kappabashi. The heat was unbearable, and I was starting to feel exhausted. I was looking for a cold beer and something to boost my stamina when I saw the word "eel". Despite thinking that eel might be expensive, I was drawn into the restaurant. I sat at the counter on the first floor and ordered a draft beer, two skewers of eel liver, and the special eel rice bowl for 2420 yen. The draft beer arrived first, followed by the eel liver skewers after about 5 minutes. They were tender and delicious, especially with a sprinkle of powdered sansho pepper. Then, the main dish, the eel rice bowl, arrived after about 10 minutes. It was a generous portion, with crispy skin and tender meat. However, I found the sauce a bit too spicy for my liking. Overall, the food was worth the price. One downside was the checkout process. The register was located next to the counter, where there were stacks of delivery boxes, making it awkward for customers to pay. I kept getting bumped by other customers' belongings and elbows while trying to pay. It would be better if they kept the customer area clear. Thank you for the meal.

I had eel rice bowl for dinner in Asakusa. I usually enjoy eating out a lot and often do research in advance, but this time I ended up at an eel restaurant without any preconceived notions. Asakusa is known for tempura, eel, and soba, so I was torn between trying different places. In the end, I chose an eel restaurant. The eel rice bowl was incredibly voluminous and the eel was soft and fluffy. I also ordered eel rolls and grilled eel liver skewers a la carte.

I revisited the restaurant, last time I had chicken teriyaki and eel, this time I had harami teriyaki and eel... what happened? There's a huge difference from the first time... it just feels cheap now. I was shocked the second time and decided to confirm again this time. It's better than what they serve at other beef restaurants, but if this is the quality... honestly, I'd rather spend a little more and go somewhere else... it's sad... maybe they were trying hard because they had just opened? But now, it's a disappointing consolation prize.

While looking for a lunch spot in Asakusa, I happened to come across a cheap eel restaurant. It was about half the price of another nearby restaurant, so I decided to go with this one. I ordered the special eel rice bowl for 2420 yen, which is a great deal for a modern eel restaurant. I also ordered a special set with 3 oysters from Iwate and a medium draft beer (Premium Malts) for 1000 yen. The fresh oysters paired well with the beer, and soon the eel rice bowl arrived. The eel was crispy on the outside but tender inside, with a slightly sweet sauce that complemented it well. The eel was rich and delicious, and I was surprised at how affordable it was. The portion size of the rice was a bit small, so it might not be enough for big eaters. The clear soup was not eel liver soup, but at this price, that's to be expected. I was amazed that I could enjoy such delicious eel at this price in Asakusa. It was a lucky find, and I had a great meal. Thank you for the feast.

I ordered the special deluxe size of unagi (eel) rice bowl. The photo of the deluxe size unagi on the menu looked very big, and if I could eat this size of unagi at a reasonable price, I would be very happy. The bottom of the unagi rice bowl box is high, so there is not as much rice as it looks, making it easy to eat because it matches the amount of unagi.

Compared to the many eel restaurants nearby, this place is more affordable! They use eels from Fujian Province in China, which is why it's more reasonably priced. While some places using domestic eels can cost between 4,000 to 6,000 yen, I personally can't tell the difference when I eat it (ˊᵕˋ;) The staff are also from China, so they sometimes ask about the menu multiple times and don't confirm orders, and they once brought cola instead of orange juice (ˊᵕˋ;) But I prefer this honesty over mislabeling the origin. Even though it's Chinese eel, the taste is just like Japanese farmed eel. It's actually thick and fluffy, more like steamed eel than crispy grilled eel. The amount of rice is indeed small, just about a bowlful. However, since we were already eating our way through Asakusa with meat cutlets, pies, rice crackers, and strawberry candy before coming here, it was more than enough for us. For just 2,000 yen, you can get a deluxe eel rice bowl made with one and a half eels, which is quite a bargain. The black wagyu fillet steak rice bowl I had was delicious, with well-marbled meat and a small amount of eel, sea urchin, and salmon roe on top. It was incredibly tasty and satisfying! They accept PayPay.

Amazing value for money! I was drawn in by the sign outside, but when I tried the food, I was shocked! The quality for this price?! Apparently, they farm the eel in the Fujian Province of China, which allows them to offer it at a low price. Even without that, the affordability is unbelievable. I won't be able to eat eel bowls from the other chain restaurants anymore. They also offer mixed dishes like eel + steak or eel + yakitori at a low price! If this place was closer, I would definitely be a regular customer.

Although it's an eel restaurant, they offer a variety of delicious dishes like meat and seafood. It seemed a bit flashy and touristy, but I was in the mood for eel, so I decided to go in. ■Grilled Chicken and Eel Rice Bowl Don't you think it's a better deal to have both eel and chicken rather than just eel? The eel was plump and delicious, with a nice charcoal aroma. The chicken was also grilled with a sweet sauce, and the skin was crispy and flavorful. It came with miso soup and cost 1,180 yen.

Before work, I had some errands in Asakusa and wanted to have a late lunch somewhere. The famous restaurants all had long lines, so I stumbled upon this eel restaurant. On a regular weekday around noon. You can get in right away. This restaurant offers "unagi-don" at an unbelievably low price?... It's almost too cheap, which feels suspicious. I don't feel like having eel, I want to eat beef. ★ Beef Fillet Steak Donburi / 2,508 yen. A steak donburi from an eel restaurant. It seems to be cooked with an electric grill... There is no charcoal aroma on the meat. The meat is very tender and lean with a rich flavor... It is unexpectedly delicious. It is served with sea urchin and salmon roe, making it visually appealing as well. The sauce is mediocre, but the meat is so delicious that I think it's quite tasty. The price of 2,508 yen feels a bit expensive.

At the end of June, I finished a project and went out to dinner with my husband to celebrate. We ended up at a restaurant that was not too crowded, and we ordered various dishes that were reasonably priced and delicious. However, we ended up spending over 6,000 yen in total because we ordered quite a few items. We had beer with oysters, octopus tempura, eel roll, yakitori rice bowl, and avocado eel bowl. The eel roll was tasty with a sweet egg part, and the yakitori rice bowl was satisfying. The avocado eel bowl was an interesting combination, with the sweet eel sauce complementing the avocado. Overall, the food was good, but the bill added up quickly.

On July 26, 2020, around 1:30 pm, I went out for the first time in a while and decided to go to Asakusa unexpectedly! While heading to the shaved ice shop I was looking for, I casually noticed a sign on the street and my companion stopped and said, "Let's go here!" (laughs) Since my companion also wanted to eat eel, I was very curious. So, should we go in suddenly?? ♡ With that, it was my first visit! The store had a first floor and a second floor, and since the first floor only had counter seats with a few customers, we went up to the second floor. There was only one group of customers at a four-person table... well, there were a decent amount of people inside, so it should be okay, right? (^◇^;) The cost performance was really good (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡ I quickly ordered the special eel for ¥2,000 (excluding tax)! It arrived without much of a wait ((゚艸゚)フフフ Well, the taste was okay - not particularly impressive, but the eel was tender and not bad. For this price, it's worth it. The size of the eel was decent too... as long as you're not seeking exceptional taste, it's good! (○-∀・)b Nice!

I visited here for lunch, which has the catchphrase "The cheapest Unadon in Japan!?" They sell Unadon bento for 500 yen at the storefront. The restaurant has counter seats on the first floor and seats on the second floor as well. The menu mainly consists of rice bowls, but they also offer steak and grilled chicken. I ordered the regular Unadon for 1650 yen. It was served in about 5 minutes with miso soup and pickles. The rice in the Unadon is a bit soft. The eel is tender and delicious. I think this place is like a fast food Unagi restaurant. It's rare to find a place where you can eat eel at this price.

I had lunch at Kyuho-san! I visited because I saw that you could enjoy eel for a one-coin in front of the store! The cost performance is very good! It was just the right amount when I wanted to eat a variety of dishes. I also had oysters and beer, and it was the best. I will definitely visit again.

I wanted to eat eel in Asakusa and searched around, but all the famous restaurants were crowded. So, I decided to go into this restaurant because it was relatively empty. I think I understand now why it was not as busy as the others, despite the crowds in Asakusa. It was neither good nor bad, just average.

Certainly, until about six months ago, this place was a restaurant called "Goshokujidokoro Kemuri". Somehow, it underwent a renewal and evolved into an izakaya and dining place focusing on "eel" along with "seafood" and "meat" dishes. The restaurant is managed by Chinese staff, who are quite loud and noisy as expected. Among the various tempting eel dishes, I chose the "Grilled Chicken Thigh with Eel Sauce" this time. I just wanted to taste it. The eel sauce is priced at 1274 yen, excluding tax. Honestly, the grilled eel is of a somewhat cheap quality. The skin's elasticity, meat texture, and thinness of the flesh are unavoidable shortcomings. It has a slight eel-like taste compared to the eel at major beef bowl chains. The grilled chicken thigh with eel sauce next to it was delicious and fragrant! It's almost like this is the main dish, and the eel is a side dish, which is a bit sad, but it's acceptable in its own way. Also, considering the price... it's too expensive at specialty eel restaurants, and places like "Unatoto" are just too bad... I recommend it to those who find those options unsatisfactory!

Eels can be prepared in so many different ways! This restaurant has great creativity in their dishes. Their ideas really make the food taste even better. The sliced cucumber on the grilled eel was innovative!
