After a long time, I went to Yassube and ordered the double spicy tsukemen with extra noodles. Unfortunately, the noodles were not the usual smooth and slick ones, but rather overcooked and sticky. As usual, I generously sprinkled black pepper in the dipping broth, added two mountainous servings of onions, and sprinkled dashi powder on the noodles.

Um, it seems like I've become addicted to spicy tsukemen... I find myself craving it regularly, but I haven't been able to go to "Tsukimino Daikatsuken" recently. So, I remembered "Yasubee" and decided to stop by the "Yasubee Shinjuku branch" on my way back from Hashimoto. I used to like the slightly sweet tsukemen with medium-thick noodles from "Higashi-Ikebukuro Daikatsuken" but... after trying the spicy tsukemen at "Tsukimino Daikatsuken," I fell in love with the irresistibly delicious slightly sweet... dipping sauce. I stopped going to "Higashi-Ikebukuro Daikatsuken" because they didn't have spicy tsukemen. A few years ago, after reading a review by a tsukemen enthusiast mentioning that "Yasubee" also offers spicy tsukemen, I went to the "Takadanobaba branch" to try it. The noodles were even thicker than at "Tsukimino Daikatsuken," but I was quite satisfied with the sauce, which had a similar slightly sweet taste within the spiciness. For a while, I occasionally visited "Yasubee" after learning about the spicy tsukemen at the Ikebukuro, Nishi-Ikebukuro, or Shinjuku branches. I think it was about two years ago when I went to the Nishi-Ikebukuro branch of "Yasubee" and tried the new product "Spicy Miso Tsukemen." Since then, I have been continuously enjoying the "Spicy Miso Tsukemen" at "Yasubee." The "Spicy Miso Tsukemen" is a bit sweeter than the "Spicy Tsukemen," but the spicy miso dipping sauce is incredibly delicious, and it includes the essential minced meat that I believe is indispensable in miso ramen. After finishing the "Spicy Miso Tsukemen," adding the soup provided as a soup-wari to the dipping sauce and drinking the soup... savoring the delicious miso ramen soup and scooping up bits of minced meat with a spoon at the end brings me joy. I think miso ramen doesn't come with default chashu. Could it be because of the delicious minced meat included? The Shinjuku branch has become a popular restaurant with more customers and long lines during lunchtime than before.

I had the opportunity to visit Shinjuku and was surprised to see that the prices had increased significantly. It was no longer in the 700 yen range. I arrived in the early afternoon and was seated right away. This time, I ordered the tsukemen (small size) with free garlic. With the small size, you get one topping for free, so I chose the seasoned egg. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. The noodles were delicious as always, with a nice chewy texture. The soup was the usual fish and pork bone broth, but it was light and easy to eat. You can enjoy changing the flavor with the table-side onions and fish powder. Personally, I like to add the garlic (free, press the button on the ticket machine) to the last bit of soup, which gives it a nice flavor. It's more like savoring the garlic as a broth rather than eating it directly. Next time, I think I'll try the miso flavor.

This is my second visit. This time, I tried the miso dipping noodles. I saw a lady in front of me confidently ordering the spicy dipping noodles with green onions on top, so I decided to follow suit. When my miso dipping noodles arrived, there was a decent amount of green onions on top. I thought I might have made a mistake, but in the end, you can never have too many green onions. I usually don't like it when the noodles in dipping noodles get lukewarm, so I chose to have them served hot. However, I realized that hot dipping noodles and regular dipping noodles are completely different menus. I learned that eating dipping noodles piping hot isn't the only correct way. The unique deliciousness of the slightly warm regular dipping noodles is something my taste buds have now come to appreciate. In the future, I will choose between hot and regular dipping noodles depending on my mood. It was delicious once again. The staff member with the unique call was off duty this time. Thank you for the meal!

The unique call of the staff caught my attention, but the tsukemen itself was very delicious, including the dipping sauce. The soup base also had a change in flavor and remained delicious until the end. The thinly sliced chashu was tasty, and I enjoyed changing the taste with the provided vinegar and bonito powder. Even though I ordered a regular size, the portion was large, so a small size might be enough. Thank you for the meal!

I came across this restaurant while running errands and was intrigued by the long line. After finishing my errands, I visited around 3pm. The line had subsided a bit, and I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get in. While the attitude of the staff was a bit off-putting, the taste of the food was amazing. I tried the classic tsukemen with warm broth, and the noodles were smooth and chewy. I ordered a regular portion, but it felt like a lot of food. Overall, it was delicious enough to make me want to come back if I pass by again.

I love the noodles here! They are smooth and chewy, with just the right thickness. I added spicy dipping sauce and menma. On the table, there are onions, fish powder, vinegar, and more. I think there is no other noodles that can beat the dipping noodles here! And the fact that it's under 1000 yen in this day and age... I hope they continue to do well despite the high cost of living.

This is my favorite tsukemen restaurant, especially their spicy tsukemen is the best! The spicy double fish powder on the noodles, with added onions, is just so delicious. I've been here many times, and it's always so tasty!

Yasubee's soup that never gets boring and the wheat-flavored thick noodles. Around 10:30 before opening, a line starts forming, and the restaurant quickly fills up as soon as it opens. For some reason, I always crave it after a stomach camera or health checkup (lol), but all the stores are extremely delicious, and I think they are the top in the tsukemen industry. Since the large serving is free, I recommend going for a medium serving or larger with a little extra effort.

Miso tsukemen, regular size, 1,020 yen. It had been about 7 and a half years since I last visited. I went on a weekday around 2 pm. The restaurant was about 60% full. I purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine on the left-hand side. I was seated and handed my ticket over the counter. The miso dipping sauce was spicy. The noodles were slightly thick and chewy. You could ask for a final soup refill, and a small dish would be brought for you to add it yourself.

Chilled dipping noodles with crushed garlic (free) (paid with cash from vending machine ¥920). The "hiyamori" 330g was refreshing and satisfying. A variety of ways to enjoy it without getting bored. First, eat it as it is, smooth and delicious. Then add the crushed garlic for extra flavor. You can also add onions or bonito flakes for different textures. A little vinegar can give it a nice tangy twist. Finally, finish it off by adding some soup to slurp it all up. The 70 years of experience really shows in the noodles and the different ways to enjoy them. It had been 10 years since I last had dipping noodles at a restaurant, and this place did not disappoint. I wonder why they always offer free upsizing for dipping noodles. Can someone explain that to me?

A personal favorite repeat restaurant! Not super delicious, but their spicy tsukemen can be eaten no matter how you're feeling haha. I recommend the spicy tsukemen with garlic topping, onion, and bonito flakes sprinkled on top. #TokyoGourmet #TokyoRamen #TokyoLunch #TokyoDinner #ShinjukuGourmet #ShinjukuRamen #ShinjukuLunch #ShinjukuDinner #tsukemen #yasubee-tsukemen #yasubee-Shinjuku店

I went to Yasubei during my company's lunch break. There was almost no wait outside, and I was seated within about 10 minutes. I ordered the regular tsukemen and chose the standard portion (although I later regretted not getting a larger size). The turnover was fast, and the staff were energetic, which I really liked. As for the tsukemen itself, the dipping sauce was light but flavorful, and the noodles had a nice chew to them and were delicious. It was light enough that I could finish the dipping sauce, and I enjoyed it until the very end.

On my day off, I came to Shinjuku for the first time in a while and walked around. After 6 pm, my wife went back to her parents' house, so I decided to have my favorite tsukemen for dinner by myself today. Tomorrow, I will be working from home, so it's a great opportunity for "garlic." In addition to my usual boiled dumplings, I added garlic as well. It was a very satisfying dinner.

This was my first visit to Yasube in Shinjuku. I tried their slightly light and easy-to-eat tsukemen. This time, I chose the miso tsukemen, and I think it's a flavor that matches well with Japanese people as there seems to be no miso that disappoints. For those expecting a rich soup, it may be a bit lacking, but it has a taste that seems to suit women. I enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to tsukemen, Yasubee Shinjuku is top tier for me. I personally recommend the double noodles with minced garlic, topped with fish powder and served with minced onions in the soup. After finishing the noodles, add some vinegar from the table to the remaining soup. It's delicious until the very end. The chashu is also very tasty.

I can't be satisfied without eating here once a month! The noodles are smooth and chewy, always reliable! I recommend the medium spicy dipping noodles with double spiciness and three toppings. It's nostalgic when the dipping noodles were 680 yen... Many customers seem to order the large portion, but I prefer the cold version! The ticket machine is simple and easy to understand!

Visited at 19:30 with 3 people waiting in line. Ordered the Spicy Tsukemen Double Large, served piping hot. Yasubee's special Shinjuku branch tends to be crowded. The staff's service at this branch has always left a negative impression compared to other locations. Overall, I think it's better to go for the hot serving option at Yasubee. Especially at the Shinjuku branch, the soup draining is too gentle, and when served on a flat plate, it feels like eating noodles soaked in water. Even with the hot serving option, the soup quickly becomes diluted.

I always wanted to try this ramen shop near my office, but there was always a long line during lunchtime. Luckily, there was no line the other day so I decided to give it a try. I didn't have high expectations, but the noodles were amazing! They were chewy and thick, which is my favorite type of noodles. Even though I'm a woman, I finished a 440g bowl easily. And all of this for only 920 yen is a great deal. I'm so happy to have found a new favorite spot! I will definitely be coming back often!

Tsukemen with extra noodles (double spiciness) was the best tsukemen I had during my student days. The shop I used to frequent during my student days has already closed down, but meeting up with old friends from that time and going to eat together brought back nostalgic feelings. The thick, smooth noodles are delicious even on their own. The dipping sauce, with a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and sour flavors with a hint of seafood, pairs exceptionally well with the noodles.
