Kamakura Pasta in Moritown. I visited for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant had table seating and sunken kotatsu-style seating, and it was mostly filled with women, around 8-9 out of 10 customers. The lunch menu offers 9 pasta options ranging from 1090 yen, with sets including salad and a drink, salad and 2 pieces of bread, or a drink and 2 pieces of bread to choose from. You can also opt for all-you-can-eat bread for an additional 180 yen. The pasta options include classics like peperoncino, carbonara, and seafood pasta.

Scallop and asparagus with lobster-flavored pasta
Drink and salad set: 1290 yen
All-you-can-eat bread: 180 yen
Shortly after ordering, a salad and a plate for the all-you-can-eat bread were brought to the table, along with a "PLEASE" and "STOP" sign for the bread. A basket with about 8 types of bread was then brought, and I chose black sugar, sugar, tomato ciabatta, and cheese ciabatta. The bread was warm and some were freshly baked and hot. There was no butter provided, but it was not necessary as the bread was delicious on its own. As more varieties of bread were baked, they were brought to the table one or two at a time, including croissants, sugar buns, melon bread, cheese focaccia, and pumpkin bread. I ended up eating about 10 pieces in total, as they were freshly baked and irresistible.
Among the bread, the sugar buns and melon bread were particularly delicious. The staff also checked in to see if I wanted more bread or water, and they were attentive and provided great service. The pasta, made with fresh pasta, was chewy and delicious, although the lobster flavor was a bit weak. It would have been better if the flavor was stronger, maybe with regular shrimp instead of lobster. The creamy sauce paired well with the pasta, and the texture of the asparagus was also good.
Although the lunch was a bit over 1000 yen, being able to enjoy freshly baked bread and the friendly atmosphere and service made it worth it. The location in Moritown makes it accessible for families and those with children. Showing a JAF card will get you a 10% discount.
