Located on Shibuya Bunkamura Street, just past the Don Quijote store, turn right down the road. It's a bit hard to find with its small door, but that adds to its charm. If you're unsure where to go, this is the place to visit. You won't see rowdy customers here, and even without a reservation, you can usually find a spot for two. For some reason, we always end up at the counter on the right side of the second floor. You'll need to take off your shoes on the second floor, so ladies, be aware. The food is always delicious. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, making it perfect for a cozy drink with colleagues.

I visited this restaurant because it was recommended on Instagram. It was not too quiet or too busy, and I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal. The creative dishes on the menu were eye-catching, and I had a hard time deciding what to order because there were so many things I wanted to try. The dishes I ordered all had generous portions, and the sashimi platter was particularly delicious. The assortment of 6 types of sashimi for 1980 yen was a great value. The slices were thick and tasty. There was also a wide variety of sake available, and my companion was also satisfied. There were plenty of staff members, so the empty plates were cleared quickly, and it was easy to place orders. Although we sat at the counter this time, the space was spacious and I did not feel cramped. This is a restaurant that I would recommend to someone.

I reserved a 5,300 yen all-you-can-drink course. There was plenty of food and it came out quickly. The taste was also very delicious. However, the staff looked busy and serious, which made me worry.

The other day, cheers in Shibuya. It had been a while since I visited Shibuya ❤️ #DashimakiTamago #SpareRibs #KanpachiCollar #ProsciuttoMelon #FriedCorn #Cheers. @iwao_izakaya It's a small entrance that you might overlook if you don't know about it, you have to bend down to enter. It gives you a feeling of excitement and nervousness like entering a secret base (laughs). The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit and has a calming atmosphere. The collar grilled fish and the rolled omelette were delicious ❤️. #Izakaya #ShibuyaIzakaya #ShibuyaDrinks #ShibuyaGourmet #DrinkingTagram #Foodstagram #EatStagram #Tokyo #Shibuya #IzakayaIwao #Izakaya #Cheers #FoodPorn #Instafood #FoodGasm #Foodie #Foodstagram #Eatstagram #Japan #Tokyo.

I visited for the first time. The entrance is unique and gives off a Shibuya vibe. I thought it was a modern shop, but it seems to be an old established izakaya. I ordered a sashimi platter first, but I forgot to take a picture (ーー;) The sashimi that looked like bonito was explained to be bluefin tuna. I did remember to take a picture of the farm-style salad, but the dressing was quite sour. Eventually, many young customers came in and it became lively. The most memorable thing was definitely the "entrance" (lol).

I used it for dinner with my friends this time. The food was really delicious, and the alcohol menu was also great! Especially the crab miso toast was fluffy and delicious, with a good balance of flavors! I love seafood dishes, so I want to come back again.

It seems like a hidden gem izakaya that is quite crowded on weekends and you need a reservation to get in. The standout was the green tea highball with a teabag in the glass that you can refill about three times, it was a strong tea. The fresh oysters and sashimi were delicious, with a variety of seafood options on the menu. There was also a good selection of sake to choose from, making it hard to decide.

I made a reservation and visited this restaurant on a holiday night. I ordered chicken sashimi, scallop sashimi, duck sesame salad, firefly squid and rape blossoms, negitoro pickled radish, fried taro with tartar sauce, and pickles (not pictured). I also had beer and 3 glasses of shochu, totaling around 6,000 yen per person. The chicken and fish sashimi were fresh and delicious! The portion sizes were good, and the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, slightly away from the bustling Shibuya area, made it a comfortable dining experience.

This is a hidden gem izakaya in Shibuya! The complimentary dish is shirasu (and it's quite generous), which already makes you happy. The atmosphere inside is calm, and the side-by-side seating is perfect for a date! There are also table seats with sunken kotatsu tables, which seem perfect for large group gatherings. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff members do not wear masks, but considering that we are gradually returning to the pre-corona days, it wasn't a big concern. It's quite rare to see though. Thank you for the meal.

It's a cozy izakaya with a nice atmosphere. The interior, lighting, and seating arrangement are well thought out, making it a perfect space to enjoy delicious food and drinks with a small group of adults. The food was tasty, especially the "betsubara" dessert. The only downside was that when I asked the staff about the types of sake, they couldn't provide an answer. However, they were quick to ask if I wanted something to drink when my glass was empty, showing their attentiveness.

Shibuya Station is a short walk away, but the atmosphere is nice, and you can enjoy good food and drinks for around 4,000 yen per person. Reservations are required. The sashimi assortment (for 2 people) is around 1,300 yen and includes seared fish. The fish is fresh and delicious. They have a variety of drinks, and the staff is friendly and easy to talk to, so you may find your favorite drink.

Located in front of Tokyu Honten in Shibuya, this shop is a bit hard to find with its small entrance, but it has a cozy hidden vibe. This was my second time here. I don't remember who I went with or when I went the first time, but I do remember that I've been here before. This time, I sat at the counter on the second floor. There was a row of sake bottles in front of me, and it was quite quiet. I was hungry, so I forgot to take a lot of photos and just focused on eating. We ordered sashimi, salt-grilled soba, and a few other dishes. Everything was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

"Iwa" is a creative cuisine izakaya/dining bar in Shibuya that has been in business for 22 years. They offer a wide variety of sashimi and meat dishes like roast beef, grilled pork, and chicken tataki. They have a great selection of sake and a mix of classic dishes like rolls and simmered dishes, as well as creative items like gyoza pizza and crab miso toast. The restaurant has counter seats on the first floor where you can watch the chefs cook, as well as tables for two and private rooms for larger groups. Despite its small entrance, the restaurant expands into a cozy izakaya once you step inside. It's a popular spot in Shibuya that is always busy. #Iwa #Shibuya #Shinsen #sashimi #izakaya #creative cuisine #dining bar #chicken tataki #rolled omelet #simmered dish #pizza #gyoza #dining bar #sake #drinks #gourmet #want to connect with gourmet people #Tokyo gourmet #Shibuya gourmet #Shibuya dinner #Shibuya date #Shibuya izakaya #Shibuya ward"

The restaurant has individual seats and group seats available, making it suitable for dining with friends or as a couple. The food is served quickly and of high quality. I highly recommend the pork belly rice dish, it was really delicious. They have a variety of Japanese sake from different prefectures listed on the menu, making it easy to try different kinds and compare. You can choose between 1 cup or 1.5 cup sizes, making it easy to do sake tastings. It was really delicious! I will definitely go back to this izakaya and I recommend that you give it a try too! Thank you for the meal!

I went to celebrate my friend's birthday. We ordered a la carte and had crab miso toast, abalone with salted innards, assorted sashimi, deep-fried corn, chicken breast tataki, simmered beef tripe, baked camembert cheese. Everything we ate was delicious, there wasn't a single disappointment! The abalone with salted innards was especially delicious, I ended up eating two by myself. The crab miso toast was also amazing, so flavorful and crispy, it was absolutely delicious! I want to go back again!

In the summer, corn is a must! This shop in the back streets of Shibuya has a stylish interior despite its house-like exterior. Every year, when they start serving corn as a daily special, I make sure to visit as a second stop frequently. The corn is really delicious! The only downside is that the drink service can be slow, but they keep asking if you want more drinks, which is helpful.

I went to a creative cuisine restaurant called Iwa in Shibuya, towards Dogenzaka. It had been a while since I visited Shibuya and I was feeling excited. I ordered seafood and ham cutlet, stingray fin and a draft beer. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great, and I felt comfortable in any seat. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

I felt like drinking sake and decided to visit a restaurant I had been wanting to try. I called on the day and they said they had availability, but it seemed like many people had reservations so I was glad I could get in. I called about 30 minutes before they opened, and they had made a nameplate for me, which made me happy. The dishes I had were fresh oysters, shirako with ponzu sauce, and sweetfish nanban-zuke. Overall, they paired well with the sake and were delicious. The sake I had was Kuro Ryu, Bakuren, Yamamoto, and hot sake (I forgot the brand). I forgot to take pictures of some of them, but they were all delicious. It wasn't too expensive, so I will definitely go back again.

Located near Tokyu Department Store, this hidden gem of a restaurant is a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya. Despite its small entrance, the interior is spacious with a counter on the first floor and sunken kotatsu tables on the second floor. The must-try dish of the day is the Crab Miso Toast, generously topped with crab miso that pairs perfectly with sake. The Shirako Ponzu and Abalone Salted Entrails are also excellent choices for appetizers. In addition to a wide selection of sake, the drink menu offers plenty of options, making it a great spot for dates or girls' night out.

Hidden izakaya in Shibuya, near Tokyu Honten. The entrance is narrow so be careful. We ordered a 2-hour all-you-can-drink course. Since there were many of us, we got a pitcher of draft beer. The sashimi assortment and tuna collar spare ribs were delicious! They went well with beer, but would have been even better with sake. The rare delicacy assortment that came out at the end was perfect with alcohol, so it would have been even more enjoyable if it came out earlier. Enjoy a blissful moment with a luxurious course featuring seasonal selected ingredients. Indulge in dishes such as Miyazaki Prefecture's Ozaki beef roast, tuna collar spare ribs, a 7-piece sashimi assortment, and seared seasonal fish stick sushi. The course includes a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option. Course contents (8 items in total): Appetizer, assorted sashimi, Kawada Farm vegetable salad, Miyazaki Prefecture's Ozaki beef roast, BIG!! Tuna collar spare ribs, rare delicacy assortment, seared seasonal fish stick sushi. Drink menu: Over 20 items including beer, shochu, sake, whiskey, highball, wine, and soft drinks. Upgrade to a 50+ item all-you-can-drink option for an additional fee. Various cocktails, sparkling wine, and a wide range of other drinks are available.
