The breakfast buffet with great cost performance in the Ueno-Asakusa area is my main battlefield for breakfast. I have visited this area for breakfast half the year, and have visited about 20 times this year. The features include eel rice, Fukagawa-meshi, tuna bits, daily fried foods, grilled foods, and pasta, quick replenishment of dishes, efficient staff, and terrace seating. The lineup includes 4 types of fresh vegetables, potato salad, grilled tarako, rolled omelette, salt-grilled salmon, white ae, mozuku seaweed, okra ohitashi, simmered Chikuzen, simmered fuki, simmered eggplant, natto, nori scrambled eggs, sausages, beef tendon stew, black pepper chicken, salmon fry, yakisoba (daily specials), udon, Fukagawa-meshi, eel rice, white rice, tuna bits, grated yam, ochazuke set, curry bread (6 varieties), 3 types of fruit, yogurt, cocktail fruit, fruit jelly, 6 types of cold drinks, coffee, and tea. I always enjoy the eel rice, mountain topping, and beef tendon stew. The salmon fry from the daily specials was also very delicious. Even without eel or tuna, within this price range, it is a very satisfying breakfast. The atmosphere is clean and there is no typical sluggish feeling you might find in a business hotel buffet. Just the eel rice and other Japanese dishes alone are worth it. The price was raised after the tax increase, but it is still 1600 yen. I look forward to visiting again.
