I finally visited the bar that was recommended to me in Kyoto. As expected, it's a wonderful place. I tried a Gin & Tonic, Gimlet, and Negroni. The Negroni was made with a Dutch gin called BOBBY'S, which has a strong lemongrass aroma. It had a complex taste with the addition of French vermouth, and the refreshing lemongrass flavor stood out. It's fun to see how different bars have their own unique Negroni variations. This bar has a great atmosphere, and I definitely want to come back here.

A quiet and calm bar near Ebisu Shrine in Ebisu, lined with shelves of whiskies and liqueurs. I didn't look at the menu and ordered my usual cocktail, a Bluemoon. The Bluemoon was delicious, but at 2,700 yen for a glass with nuts and dried fruits charm, it was a bit pricey. There are many other affordable and delicious bars out there, so personally, I probably won't revisit this one. It's not a bad bar by any means!

Enjoy a drink at the authentic bar behind Ebisu Shrine. There is no prominent sign, so you might not find it unless you know about it. Take the elevator to the 4th floor and you will find the entrance right away. When you open the door, you will see a solid wood counter with only 9 seats. The warm lighting creates a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. The owner and bartender, Mr. Ohtaki, used to work at Yoyogi-Uehara's "Caesarion" and Ginza's "Tender". He was friendly and welcoming. I ordered a "Sidecar" cocktail. My companion was enjoying a vintage whiskey. The cocktails were delicious. I had another one, but I forgot the name (laughs). They have a variety of vintage single malts and liqueurs that fans would love. You can also enjoy cigars in this sophisticated adult space. This bar is rare in Ebisu as it opens from 3 pm. I found a great bar where adults can relax and have a wonderful time. The prices are also reasonable.

Today we had dinner in Ebisu, but before that, let's have a drink as usual. This place is convenient as it opens at 3pm. When you get off the elevator on the 4th floor and enter the shop, you will be greeted by the owner, Mr. Ootaki's smile. We started with a "Boston Cooler" (for my wife) and a "Gin and Tonic" (for me) to cheers. I noticed a bourbon whiskey ceramic bottle with Marilyn Monroe's white skirt being lifted by a subway ventilation grill from the movie "The Seven Year Itch" on the back bar. Mr. Ootaki explained that it was a gift from a customer to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the bar, but they plan to take it back after the 8th year (laughs). We chatted and for the second round, my wife had a "G'VINE Floraison Gin and Tonic" while I had a "Bulloch Lade's Gold Label double highball". After refueling, we started to feel a bit hungry, so it was time to head to the restaurant for our reservation.

■November 2018 Visited with a regular customer. The space had a nice atmosphere with a spacious single board counter! I always go for a martini since I never know what to order at the bar. My friend likes Scotch, so they tried various types. I'm not a fan of strong flavors, but I was surprised by the variety. There are so many types of other drinks too, so it might be irresistible for alcohol lovers. I now want to bring a Scotch enthusiast friend next time.

Tonight, I had dinner in Ebisu, as usual I started with a drink before that. It's only 5 o'clock, so I didn't know any bars open at this time in Ebisu. I looked it up on Tabelog and found out that this place is open from 3pm. I took the elevator to the 4th floor, and when I opened the door, Mr. Ootaki greeted me with a smile. I sat at the counter on the right and started with a Gin & Tonic made with Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin. There was a female staff member from "BAR TALISKER" in Ginza, who moved to Kyoto, so we talked about Ms. Uchida from "BAR TALISKER" for a while. Next, I had a double highball with Glen Dronach aged 12 years, and finished with a Sidecar before heading to today's dining spot.

The master was calm and very accommodating to our requests, making us feel very comfortable. The cocktail in a Kimura glass was simply beautiful. The bar has been around for 11 years! It's a quiet and lovely space!

I was lamenting the lack of calm adult-oriented establishments in Ebisu these days, but I stumbled upon an authentic bar that is perfect for after-dinner drinks. Located on the 4th floor of a small building, I hesitantly entered and found a fantastic adult bar. They offer unique craft gins and bourbons that I had never seen before, showing their dedication to quality. It's a delightful experience listening to the bartender explain the drinks. This is truly a bar for adults. I will definitely be a regular customer at this place in Ebisu from now on!

"I visited Igucci in Nakameguro in August 2017 and had delicious tempura and kushiage. It had been three years since my last visit. The staff now includes a woman who used to work at BAR TALISKER in Ginza. I tried the 'Kyoho Grape and Calvados Cocktail' as recommended, and it was like a dessert. I also had a 'Boston Cooler,' 'Gimlet,' and 'Glenfarclas 1977.' I had a fantastic experience trying a 1961 vintage at Bar Burns in Nagoya, so I decided to try the 1977 vintage here. While it may not be as good as the 1961, it was still delicious. It was a fun day overall."

A bar located on the 4th floor of a building in Ebisu. It is hidden in a back alley with only a small sign on the first floor, making it difficult to find if you don't know about it. I was introduced by Mr. Shinbashi from Kagurazaka's "San Luca Bar" and visited on a weekday night. The owner and bartender, Mr. Ohtaki, is a former staff member of Yoyogi-Uehara's "Caesarion" and has also helped out at "Tender" in the past. His friendly personality makes conversation enjoyable. As soon as you exit the elevator, there is a glass entrance. The seating consists of only 9 seats at the counter. The interior is dimly lit with the bar and drinks illuminated. The Gimlet is refreshing with a clean sweetness, not as strong as those from "San Luca Bar" or "Tender". The Stinger, with its minty coolness, is a perfect cocktail for summer. The pleasant sweetness and the bubbles on your lips bursting gently create a delightful sensation. I look forward to trying Mr. Ohtaki's cocktails with egg whites and other special touches next time.

I visited "A New" after enjoying a delicious French meal. It had been a while since my last visit, about a year and a half. I had met the owner, Mr. Ootaki, at an event celebrating bartender Kazuo Ueda's 50 years in the industry, so it didn't feel like such a long time. My wife ordered a Moscow Mule and a Manhattan, which was unusual for her. I had a Balalaika, a Sidecar, and Ichiro's Malt the GAME Rum Wood Finish on the rocks. In March 2013, I was recommended to visit "Eastmore" in Ebisu after visiting "San Lucas Bar." We managed to find seats for six people and enjoyed cocktails like Sherry Sonic, Gimlet, and Jack Rose. The highlight was the Marc de Champagne Moet & Chandon and Vieux Marc de Champagne Ayala & C, both delicious and memorable. It was a great day filled with good food, cocktails, and happiness. At an adult bar, enjoying adult time ☆ Yesterday, since I had the whole day off, I decided to have a "beauty day". I received maintenance for my body and skin from professionals I trust. Sheriroze is in the business of total self-improvement, both internally and externally. Therefore, I believe it is natural to keep myself as beautiful as possible and to be healthy in mind and body. On a holiday night. Yesterday, I enjoyed a meal and drinks with Suzuki-san, who designs Sheriroze's pamphlets. After dinner, we decided to have a leisurely chat, so we went to a bar called "Eastmore" in Ebisu, recommended by a friend from Tabelog, Bottan-san. It is a new bar with only a counter, located behind Ebisu Shrine. The interior is clean and neat, with dim lighting and a very quiet and adult-like atmosphere. I like Daiquiris with fruit, so I asked the owner and bartender, Ohtaki-san, for a recommendation, and had a pineapple Daiquiri. It's so delicious that you can drink it like juice. Dangerous deliciousness. For the second drink, I had a frozen Daiquiri. It has about 1.5 times the amount compared to other bars, making it very satisfying. Suzuki-san and I hadn't seen each other for about half a year, so we caught up on each other's work situation, what we're studying, and our private lives. He is a hardworking entrepreneur, and since we are the same age, it's a good source of motivation. Suzuki-san often goes to bars alone, and he has a few favorite bars. As for me, dining alone is a challenge, especially for lunch... Going to a bar alone is such an adult thing to do, right? But according to Ohtaki-san, the owner of this bar, "Many women come alone as well." Perhaps at this bar, women can come alone without feeling nervous?

When I first learned to appreciate the enjoyment of alcohol, I went to about 30 bars in Tokyo, drawn to the atmosphere. One of the bars I visited was "Eesmore". It was a bit hard to find as it was located on the 4th floor of a building in a back alley. The bar had a counter with about 9 seats, and the bartender, Mr. Ohtaki, was dressed in a white bar coat. The bar was open on a Sunday afternoon, which was quite rare. The atmosphere was authentic and charming. I tried a citrus cocktail and a Bamboo, both refreshing and easy to drink. My companion had a Gin Fizz and a Martini, which had a soft and gentle flavor. The dim lighting and cool air created a pleasant and calming atmosphere. We had 4 drinks in total, and the bill was only 6600 yen, which was very reasonable. I haven't had the chance to visit again in the past 3 years, but the memory of this wonderful bar still lingers in my mind.
