A seafood izakaya located a little over a 3-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. I visited this place because I heard you can enjoy fresh sashimi and drink Maruef beer here. Menu: - Appetizer - Assorted grilled skewers - Pumpkin and cream cheese salad - Wasabi eggplant - Assorted sashimi (2 servings) - Grilled tuna tendons - Half-cooked fried scallops - Chorizo sausage - Maruef draft beer - Shochu The Maruef beer had a smooth texture and was delicious. The highlight was the assorted sashimi with tuna, octopus, flounder, sweet shrimp, and negitoro. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and of high quality. The pumpkin and cream cheese salad was also tasty, with the depth of the pumpkin and the richness of the cheese complementing each other well. Overall, the food and drinks were all delicious. Additional notes: - A convenient restaurant that can be enjoyed with friends or colleagues. - The menu offers a wide variety of food and drinks. - Thank you for the meal!

I visited Uonosai in Asakusa for lunch on a regular day. The exterior of the restaurant is beautiful and could pass for a bistro. The interior is quite spacious with about 10 table seats and a counter. The lunch menu is very reasonable, with the cheapest option being salmon rice for 650 yen, and even the most expensive option is around 800 yen. When you sit down, you are served with a wet towel and cold tea. I ordered the specialty Fukagawa Meshi (800 yen). After about five minutes, the Fukagawa Meshi arrived on a tray along with miso soup and pickles. The Fukagawa Meshi consists of rice topped with chopped seaweed, clam stew, small shimeji mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, wakame seaweed, green onions, and pickled ginger. The sweet and salty flavor makes the rice very enjoyable. The clams are small in size. The miso soup was made with seaweed. Since it was my first time trying Fukagawa Meshi, it's difficult to evaluate the taste, but I got the impression that this is what it's supposed to be like. I thought the atmosphere and cost performance were good, so I would like to visit again.

After visiting Sensoji Temple, I wanted to eat fish on the way back so I went in. The Chardonnay white wine was cost-effective and delicious. I was happy with the freshly grated wasabi that came with the assorted sashimi, as it had a good aroma.

Introduced by a friend, this has become a go-to place for me in Asakusa whenever I'm lost. Uonami offers consistently delicious dishes, whether it's fish, meat, horse meat, or vegetables. The organic vegetable ohitashi and the oysters and horse sashimi are must-tries every time. The staff's performance at this restaurant is also top-notch. They provide just the right amount of service, not overly enthusiastic like some izakayas, but always attentive and thoughtful. It's a pleasure to enjoy good food and drinks with such excellent service. I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Everything was fresh, especially the tuna which melted in the mouth. The seafood platter is a must-order dish.

There were many exquisite dishes. All of them were delicious. However, the portion sizes were a bit small. The cost performance may not be the best. The sake tasting set was good in terms of price and content. The interior of the restaurant was a bit noisier than I expected. Overall, it's a slight negative.

The tuna dishes are delicious. The selection of sake is honestly not great, but the wine options have a high cost-performance ratio. I was able to enjoy affordable and tasty bottles of wine. A reasonably priced and good restaurant.

On July 10th, it is said to have the merit of 46,000 days, so it is called "forty-six thousand days." I decided to visit the temple to receive this special merit. I made my prayers, bought a hozuki plant, and received a limited edition amulet for the day. I then wandered around the area near the Thunder Gate and found a charming door with hozuki plants hanging from the eaves. Inside, the restaurant was bustling with customers. I ordered a beer and noticed many glasses of shochu on the rocks being served. The cost performance was great. They also had Hoppy and even a red version. The red one is recommended without ice. The food was delicious, including tuna skewers, fried chicken liver skewers, and fresh squid sashimi. The miso-grilled dish was also excellent. Overall, it was a great place with a variety of dishes that paired well with alcohol. I left feeling satisfied and will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

We visited the restaurant around 6:30 pm on a regular day with two people. There were already a few people drinking. We started with bean sprouts as a complimentary dish, then ordered a fish and vegetable salad and one rock oyster (900 yen) for a toast. The rock oyster was delicious but seemed a bit expensive. The restaurant was full before we knew it. We also ordered escargot butter grilled clams and scallops (880 yen), organic vegetable cheese bake (840 yen), and handmade wasabi cheese (490 yen). The fried tuna (580 yen) was a bit tough. The assorted skewers (900 yen) and grilled blackthroat seaperch (600 yen) were great with drinks. Overall, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were attentive. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a popular restaurant in Asakusa around 7 pm on a weekday. There were 5 groups of customers totaling 10 people, and we were able to enter without a reservation. I had been to their branch before, but I felt like the prices were a bit different this time. The squid sashimi was really delicious!! And it's a great deal at 1200 yen. However, overall, both the drinks and food are not cheap. The restaurant is clean and would be recommended for a date or special occasion.

On November 23, after enjoying "Oishii" with hoppy and simmered dishes, the cold winter weather took a toll on our bodies, so we decided to find a warm place to relax. We ended up at "Gyosai" here. In Asakusa, there are sister stores called "Gyosai Mitsubashi" and "Gyosai Rokku-ku". We didn't make a reservation, but there was an available table for four, so we went in. It was warm and cozy. Now that we were warm, it was time for the second round. We had already had cold sake, so we opted for a bottle of white wine. The white wine bottle came without ice in the cooler usually used to chill the bottle. Not sure why, maybe to prevent condensation? The bottle was cold, so no problem. We ordered the following dishes: - Fresh scallop fry (880 yen) - Oyama chicken thigh grill (700 yen) - Prosciutto and green onion pizza (840 yen) - Clam and scallop escargot butter grill (840 yen) We also had two bottles of white wine: PALAZZO from Italy, and Alpaca from Chile. The atmosphere at Gyosai was different from the lively Hoppy Street in Asakusa, but it was a nice and cozy place. Thank you for the meal.

【Revisit】I visited Asakusa's Uonami after a long time. On this day, I had work near Asakusa, and I was walking around Asakusa with a colleague who is also a classmate. We were not very familiar with Asakusa, so we were wondering where to eat. However, my colleague suggested trying a nice place, not an open cafe on Niboshi Street, but a restaurant that serves proper dishes. It had been a while since I last visited, and the two middle-aged guys felt a bit out of place in this stylish little shop. We started with a toast with draft beer. Since my colleague is not a big fan of the internet or social media, he didn't like taking photos, so I didn't take any pictures of the beer or the appetizers. We started with "Wasabi Flowers," which are the tender part of the wasabi stem in vinegar, and then had "Dried Blackthroat Seaperch." Surprisingly, my colleague allowed me to take a photo this time, so I was able to capture images from this point on. As classmates and work colleagues, we talked about private matters, old stories, and work-related topics, and enjoyed dishes like "Grilled Abalone with Liver Sauce" and "Grilled Broad Beans." His wife doesn't drink alcohol, but she seemed to like the restaurant, saying it was a good place to bring her along. Next time, we'll bring his wife and enjoy delicious food together! ****************************** I revisited a restaurant called "Uonami," facing Yagicho Street. I found this place a few years ago by wandering around on my own. I hadn't been there for a while, but I decided to visit again. The atmosphere is great, and everything you eat is delicious. The store has a simple and elegant appearance, making it a "sophisticated adult's shop" where you can easily enter. This time, I was alone and had already had a drink at another place, so I wasn't very hungry. I ordered some light dishes. In May, the month without the letter "R," I had "Grilled Oyster Skewers," which were fragrant and had a hint of the sea, perfect with alcohol. I also had a refreshing "Chilled Tomato" with a crisp texture and a slightly strong tomato flavor. Then, I wanted to try the "Abalone," a high-end ingredient that was surprisingly priced at less than 2000 yen. However, being alone, I couldn't order it this time, but I definitely want to try it next time when I visit with two or more people. The other creative dishes were also delicious, so it might be nice to visit with a group and share the food.

The article continues with a visit to Asakusa at the end of the year. As usual, I decided to go drinking with my friend S-chan in Asakusa. We headed to a place we've been to many times before, "Uonami" restaurant. It has become a bit of a favorite spot for us. However, it's always crowded because it's a popular restaurant. But if it's around 8 p.m., you might still be able to get a table, so if you're looking for a place to eat in Asakusa at that time, don't hesitate to give it a try. On this particular day, we started drinking late. We entered the restaurant around 9 p.m. I looked at the menu. The specialty of this place is fresh fish, but they also have a variety of Western dishes which is nice. The first thing that caught my eye was the liver cutlet skewers. Even though this restaurant has a stylish atmosphere, I appreciate that they offer more casual dishes like this. Well, S-chan isn't a fan of liver, so I ended up eating most of it by myself. It was tender and delicious. They also have skewered items. In the front is "Wagyu beef and shiso leaf roll", in the middle is "yagen" (a type of fish), and in the back is "oyster skewers". The scallop fry is not your typical croquette, but rather a whole scallop fried. The sweet potato tempura is homemade, and always delicious. The raw oyster vinegar has large, plump pieces of oyster. The escargot butter-grilled clams and scallops are also delicious. This restaurant also offers some Italian-inspired dishes, so I often find myself torn between drinking sake or wine. The pizza is also very tasty. Uonami is a popular spot in Asakusa with strong local support. Ah, it feels good to be able to write articles in one go today. Below are some photos used in past articles. ---------------------------------- One-pickled eggplant. The chicken wings have a satisfying crunch. The fried tofu crackers are crispy and have a delightful texture. Flounder sashimi. Chinese-style fried rice. There's even chocolate for adults. If you haven't been yet, you should definitely give it a try. Related articles to this one can be found here ↓ Information about the Asakusa restaurant is here ↓

I heard Asakusa is recommended, so I visited this place. The name suggests that fish is recommended, so I started with a sashimi platter for two at 2500 yen, which seems a bit pricey considering the contents. It would be nice if there were some higher quality items included. The squid had a good texture and was recommended, I think it was also priced at 100 yen. The other side menu items were varied and the taste was decent. The prices are slightly higher than a regular izakaya. It seems there are no private rooms. The abundance of rice dishes on the menu was also quite noticeable.

I visited "Uonami" in Asakusa on the middle day of the Sanja Matsuri. I arrived early, but it quickly became full. Here's what I ordered: - White squid sashimi (¥1,000) - Fresh and transparent, with tasty nori as a side. - Abalone sashimi (¥1,980) - Small but deliciously crunchy, with no liver or fishy taste. - Tuna karaage - Well-seasoned and perfect with beer. - Liver cutlet - Crispy and good for iron intake, but may not be for those who don't like liver. Unfortunately, it took a while for both the drinks and dishes to arrive.

Fish and vegetables ☆ A Japanese-style izakaya located right near Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. When in Asakusa, it's all about experiencing the "Japanese" vibe. I used to come here often with my previous prince. The restaurant seems to have expanded since then (about twice the size?), and the lighting is brighter now. Personally, I'm not a fan of overly bright lighting at night... Princess. Oh, really...?? Well, putting that aside. The food here is delicious. I especially love the fish dishes. The tuna cheek steak we had this time was so tasty! And surprisingly, the burnt rice was also delicious. And, as expected, the drinks flowed... The variety of drinks is very extensive. There were about 5-7 affordable bottles of both red and white wine. The table is wide, so if it's a date, I recommend reserving the counter seats. It's also great for a lively group gathering, so it might be good for parties too.
